SYSDATE is not getting incremented in the parameter - Scheduler
Hi All
I have used the query 'SELECT SYSDATE FROM DUAL' for a parameter in concurrent request. If I execute this concurrent as a single request, then it returns exact sysdate (current date) in a parameter.
If i schedule this program for daily execution using scheduler, then the sysdate is always giving value of the date when i have configured the scheduler (even I have enabled the check box increment date parameters each run).
For example,
My Requirement :The scheduler configured such a way that it should run everyday.Whenever it runs my query has to return the current date.
Current Issue: I schedule the scheduler on 23-Dec-2008. If it runs on 24-DEC-2008,it returns as '23-DEC-2008', If it runs on 28-DEC-2008 also,it returns as '23-DEC-2008.However If I execute this as a single request, it works fine.
Can anyone help me please,,It is very urgent.
Thanks in Advance
Hi,
This forum is dedicated to the Oracle Scheduler which uses the dbms_scheduler package.
It looks like you might be using a different scheduler since the Oracle Scheduler does not allow using a query as a parameter and does not have an "increment date parameters" checkbox.
If you are using the Oracle Applications Scheduler, you should ask this question on the Applications forum here
http://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=3
If you are using the Enterprise Manager Scheduler you should ask on the Grid Control forum here
Enterprise Manager
If you are using the Oracle Scheduler you should post the code being used to create your job which may be found by using the "Show SQL" button on the create job webpage. This should include a call to dbms_scheduler.create_job .
Thanks,
Ravi.

Search Incremental Crawl is not getting triggered at the scheduled time.
Hello All,
Since 1 week i am observing that the incremental crawl is not getting triggered on the scheduled day & time but the next schedule is moving to next day. Let me put down in a detail.
Content Incremental crawl is scheduled to run daily at 5.00 PM CST. Last 3 days i checked at 5.30 PM CST and found that the incremental crawl is not triggered and the status is Idle. But i noticed that the Next incremental crawl date is moved to next day
at the same time.
Can some one help me out how to get out of this issue. Thank You!Hi,
Did you check the crawl logs? Please post here any error message that you come across in Crawl logs.
Also, does crawl operations are performed when you crawl manually?If yes, have a look at steps below:
Possible Cause:
Folder %WinDir%\Tasks is not added with SharePoint Local group WSS_WPG Where Indexer is Running
Resulution:
1. Login to the SharePoint Indexer machine with account which has Administrative previlages
2. Open Command prompt and run the command attrib –s %windir%\tasks.
%Windir% is the Default installation of Windows
3. Open Windows Explorer and go to the %Windir%\Tasks folder And open the properties of the Tasks folder
4. Click the Security tab and Check whether we have WSS_WPG, If it is not there Add the Group with Full Read and Write permissions
5. Now Open IIS Manager and restrat IIS or at the command prompt Type IISRESET so that the Chages will take place.
6. From the command prompt Run the command attrib +s %windir%\tasks so that the view goes back to default
7. Do the above Steps on all the SharePoint servers in the Farm

Data is not getting replicating to the destination db.
I has set up streams replication on 2 databases running Oracle 10.1.0.2 on windows.
Steps for setting up one-way replication between two ORACLE databases using streams at schema level followed by the metalink doc
I entered a few few records in the source db, and the data is not getting replication to the destination db. Could you please guide me as to how do i analyse this problem to reach to the solution
setps for configuration _ steps followed by metalink doc.
==================
Set up ARCHIVELOG mode.
Set up the Streams administrator.
Set initialization parameters.
Create a database link.
Set up source and destination queues.
Set up supplemental logging at the source database.
Configure the capture process at the source database.
Configure the propagation process.
Create the destination table.
Grant object privileges.
Set the instantiation system change number (SCN).
Configure the apply process at the destination database.
Start the capture and apply processes.
Section 2 : Create user and grant privileges on both Source and Target
2.1 Create Streams Administrator :
connect SYS/password as SYSDBA
create user STRMADMIN identified by STRMADMIN;
2.2 Grant the necessary privileges to the Streams Administrator :
GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE, AQ_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE,DBA to STRMADMIN;
In 10g :
GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE, AQ_ADMINISTRATOR_ROLE,DBA to STRMADMIN;
execute DBMS_STREAMS_AUTH.GRANT_ADMIN_PRIVILEGE('STRMADMIN');
2.3 Create streams queue :
connect STRMADMIN/STRMADMIN
BEGIN
DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.SET_UP_QUEUE(
queue_table => 'STREAMS_QUEUE_TABLE',
queue_name => 'STREAMS_QUEUE',
queue_user => 'STRMADMIN');
END;
Section 3 : Steps to be carried out at the Destination Database PLUTO
3.1 Add apply rules for the Schema at the destination database :
BEGIN
DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.ADD_SCHEMA_RULES(
schema_name => 'SCOTT',
streams_type => 'APPLY ',
streams_name => 'STRMADMIN_APPLY',
queue_name => 'STRMADMIN.STREAMS_QUEUE',
include_dml => true,
include_ddl => true,
source_database => 'REP2');
END;
3.2 Specify an 'APPLY USER' at the destination database:
This is the user who would apply all DML statements and DDL statements.
The user specified in the APPLY_USER parameter must have the necessary
privileges to perform DML and DDL changes on the apply objects.
BEGIN
DBMS_APPLY_ADM.ALTER_APPLY(
apply_name => 'STRMADMIN_APPLY',
apply_user => 'SCOTT');
END;
3.3 Start the Apply process :
DECLARE
v_started number;
BEGIN
SELECT decode(status, 'ENABLED', 1, 0) INTO v_started
FROM DBA_APPLY WHERE APPLY_NAME = 'STRMADMIN_APPLY';
if (v_started = 0) then
DBMS_APPLY_ADM.START_APPLY(apply_name => 'STRMADMIN_APPLY');
end if;
END;
Section 4 :Steps to be carried out at the Source Database REP2
4.1 Move LogMiner tables from SYSTEM tablespace:
By default, all LogMiner tables are created in the SYSTEM tablespace.
It is a good practice to create an alternate tablespace for the LogMiner
tables.
CREATE TABLESPACE LOGMNRTS DATAFILE 'logmnrts.dbf' SIZE 25M AUTOEXTEND ON
MAXSIZE UNLIMITED;
BEGIN
DBMS_LOGMNR_D.SET_TABLESPACE('LOGMNRTS');
END;
4.2 Turn on supplemental logging for DEPT and EMPLOYEES table :
connect SYS/password as SYSDBA
ALTER TABLE scott.dept ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG GROUP dept_pk(deptno) ALWAYS;
ALTER TABLE scott.EMPLOYEES ADD SUPPLEMENTAL LOG GROUP dep_pk(empno) ALWAYS;
Note: If the number of tables are more the supplemental logging can be
set at database level .
4.3 Create a database link to the destination database :
connect STRMADMIN/STRMADMIN
CREATE DATABASE LINK PLUTO connect to
STRMADMIN identified by STRMADMIN using 'PLUTO';
Test the database link to be working properly by querying against the
destination database.
Eg : select * from global_name@PLUTO;
4.4 Add capture rules for the schema SCOTT at the source database:
BEGIN
DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.ADD_SCHEMA_RULES(
schema_name => 'SCOTT',
streams_type => 'CAPTURE',
streams_name => 'STREAM_CAPTURE',
queue_name => 'STRMADMIN.STREAMS_QUEUE',
include_dml => true,
include_ddl => true,
source_database => 'REP2');
END;
4.5 Add propagation rules for the schema SCOTT at the source database.
This step will also create a propagation job to the destination database.
BEGIN
DBMS_STREAMS_ADM.ADD_SCHEMA_PROPAGATION_RULES(
schema_name => 'SCOTT',
streams_name => 'STREAM_PROPAGATE',
source_queue_name => 'STRMADMIN.STREAMS_QUEUE',
destination_queue_name => 'STRMADMIN.STREAMS_QUEUE@PLUTO',
include_dml => true,
include_ddl => true,
source_database => 'REP2');
END;
Section 5 : Export, import and instantiation of tables from
Source to Destination Database
5.1 If the objects are not present in the destination database, perform
an export of the objects from the source database and import them
into the destination database
Export from the Source Database:
Specify the OBJECT_CONSISTENT=Y clause on the export command.
By doing this, an export is performed that is consistent for each
individual object at a particular system change number (SCN).
exp USERID=SYSTEM/manager@rep2 OWNER=SCOTT FILE=scott.dmp
LOG=exportTables.log OBJECT_CONSISTENT=Y STATISTICS = NONE
Import into the Destination Database:
Specify STREAMS_INSTANTIATION=Y clause in the import command.
By doing this, the streams metadata is updated with the appropriate
information in the destination database corresponding to the SCN that
is recorded in the export file.
imp USERID=SYSTEM@pluto FULL=Y CONSTRAINTS=Y FILE=scott.dmp IGNORE=Y
COMMIT=Y LOG=importTables.log STREAMS_INSTANTIATION=Y
5.2 If the objects are already present in the desination database, there
are two ways of instanitating the objects at the destination site.
1. By means of Metadata-only export/import :
Specify ROWS=N during Export
Specify IGNORE=Y during Import along with above import parameters.
2. By Manaually instantiating the objects
Get the Instantiation SCN at the source database:
connect STRMADMIN/STRMADMIN@source
set serveroutput on
DECLARE
iscn NUMBER; -- Variable to hold instantiation SCN value
BEGIN
iscn := DBMS_FLASHBACK.GET_SYSTEM_CHANGE_NUMBER();
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE ('Instantiation SCN is: ' || iscn);
END;
Instantiate the objects at the destination database with
this SCN value. The SET_TABLE_INSTANTIATION_SCN procedure
controls which LCRs for a table are to be applied by the
apply process. If the commit SCN of an LCR from the source
database is less than or equal to this instantiation SCN,
then the apply process discards the LCR. Else, the apply
process applies the LCR.
connect STRMADMIN/STRMADMIN@destination
BEGIN
DBMS_APPLY_ADM.SET_SCHEMA_INSTANTIATION_SCN(
SOURCE_SCHEMA_NAME => 'SCOTT',
source_database_name => 'REP2',
instantiation_scn => &iscn );
END;
Enter value for iscn:
<Provide the value of SCN that you got from the source database>
Note:In 9i, you must instantiate each table individually.
In 10g recursive=true parameter of DBMS_APPLY_ADM.SET_SCHEMA_INSTANTIATION_SCN
is used for instantiation...
Section 6 : Start the Capture process
begin
DBMS_CAPTURE_ADM.START_CAPTURE(capture_name => 'STREAM_CAPTURE');
end;
/same problem, data not replicated.
its captured,propagated from source,but not applied.
also no apply errors in DBA_APPLY_ERROR. Looks like the problem is that LCRs propagated from source db do not reach target queue.can i get any help on this?

Files not getting picked from the FTP site
Dear All,
We are having one File-XI-RFC scenario running in XI-PRD Server. Sometimes what happens is that files available in the FTP site are not getting picked by the File adapter. I have checked in the adapter monitoring and communication channel is active there. Also, there are no errors regarding this in SXMB_MONI. I have configured alerts also but for this case no alerts are getting trigerred. And also when I am reactivating that particular communication channel then that file is getting picked instantaneously.
Can anybody please guide me on what might be the real cause for this as this error is happening randomly.
regards,
N.Jain.HI,
Have you used per File transfer parameter in FTP Communication channel.
It makes the FTP adapter inactive in ideal time.
So add the poll interval may be for every 30 mins or something like it. It will forcefully activate the FTP port after every 30 mins. You may have the poll interval for every 1 min. Only the files to be picked up are getting logged in in XI monitoring.
So there will be no garbage collection of unwanted messages in Monitoring.
Thanks

Data is not getting displayed in the report from an Infoset.
Hi All,
I am having a report based on an infoset. This report is displaying the data in the Dev. envmt. When it is transported to the QA, it is not displaying the data in the BEx as well as RSRT, in the QA envmt. The patch levels of both the Dev. and QA are the same. The Queries are same in the Dev and QA also.
While trying to display the data from the infoset (rt.click- display data), i am able to view the data, in the QA.
Could anyone please suggest why the data is not getting displayed in the query designer.
Thanks & Regards,
A.V.N.RaoHi Ashish,
I ran the "ZPS/!ZPS" in RSRT where ZPS is the infoset name. In Dev, it displayed the values. In QA, it displayed the below messages:
ECharacteristic 0TCAKYFNM does not exist. Check authorizations
WThere are calculated elements. These results are bracketed [ ]
and below that, it displayed the values for Number of records. But, it has not displayed the values for the other figures.
Does this has any impact in QA.

Work item not getting displayed in the portal
Hi experts,
We are creating a protoype for one of the standard HCM form for change in working time. When we initiate the process, the workflow is supposed to identify the agent(which is the manager in this case) and push the work item in the inbox of the manager.
In our issue, we are able to see the workitem in SAP inbox, but the same work item is not getting displayed in the portal.
If we try to approve from the SAP inbox, the hard coded message u201CWork item can only be executed using the Portal and the UWLu201D comes. [this comes through the method of one of the tasks 17900101 which we are using for approving the form]
We commented the message by using a Z class. Now we donu2019t get the hardcoded message, but still the workflow does not complete from here.
Can this be aan integration issue of the workflow tasks with the portal??Can someone elaborate on this??<ItemType name="uwl.task.webflow.TS17900101.SAP_ECC" connector="WebFlowConnector" defaultView="DefaultView" defaultAction="launchWebDynPro" executionMode="default">

Links not getting displayed in the contextual panel
Hi,
I have created a contextual panel inside a transparent container. And created a method in the same view supply_values of type supply function to supply the values to the panel.Inside the method I have coded like:
DATA TAB TYPE WD_THIS->ELEMENTS_N_VIEW_SWITCH.
DATA LINE TYPE WD_THIS->ELEMENT_N_VIEW_SWITCH.
LINE-TEXT = 'User Manual'. "#EC NOTEXT
LINE-ENABLED = ABAP_TRUE.
APPEND LINE TO TAB.
LINE-TEXT = 'Logout'. "#EC NOTEXT
LINE-ENABLED = ABAP_TRUE.
APPEND LINE TO TAB.
NODE->BIND_TABLE( TAB ).
Also in the context of the view I have created a node and supplied the method 'supply_values' in the supply function.Under the node I have 2 attributes named text and enabled. Text is of string type and enabled is of boolean type. In the properties of the contextual panel I have bound the visible property with the enabled attribute.
Now when I am running this application , links are not getting displayed in the contextual panel. Though when I debug TAB contains the values. Please suggest if I have missed out something or I need to look into the properties of the contextual panel. Any pointers will be really helpful.
Regards,
AshutoshHi,
Can you elaborate ' ItemEnable property of ViewSwitch'.
I have already bound the enable property of the panel with a context attribute of type wdy_boolean but it is still not working.

I have a query regarding Header not getting displayed in the next page in the second table of the main window. .Let me elobrate the issue.
I have a smartform in which there are 2 tables TABLE 1 and TABLE 2 in the smartform MAIN window. TABLE 1 is for pending PO and TABLE 2 is for future delivery date P O separated by text in between.
Now the header for both the tables and the data are getting displayed properly if the total output is in only one page. But If there are more entries in the TABLE 1 the Header for the TABLE 2 is not getting displayed. Header for TABLE 1 yet gets displayed properly in the next page in case of more entries.
Only issue is that Header for TABLE 2 is not getting displayed in second page but it gets displayed if the entries are less in TABLE 1 and the total output is in one page .
Please provide a elobrate solution on this problem as the requirement is urgent.

Structure is not getting filled in the subroutine
Hi Gurus,

MODIFY BESTAND TRANSPORTING BDMNG WHERE MATNR = BESTAND-MATNR.
CLEAR: BESTAND, GS_RESB.
ENDLOOP.
And please check in debug BESTAND-MATNR .
