System ID Parameter in ITS

Hi All,
I have one question. Which Parameter hold the system ID.
I want use the parameter in my BHTML Coding based on ID identify the System.
I am using SRM5.0 With Integrated ITS.

there are few variables in business HTML:
~currserver         holds the current server
~currdb              is the system ID (database identifer)
~currclient          the client
~curruserid         the user ID
~currdynpro        the current dynpro
~currtcode          the current transaction
The variables can be used in your templates. They are used to build the information menu in the status line of webgui. BTW: Set the URL-parameter ~record=1 and you can see the business HTML variables...

HI Nivas,
As soon as you logon for first time on RZ10 you need to import all profile files to application server so that you can see them at SAPGUI.
Initially the profiles will be located in OS in \usr\sap\SID\SYS\profiles.
Logon to RZ10 go to Utilities --> Import Profiles --> Of Active Servers.
All the profiles you will be able to see at GUI level now. Then select the profile and select extended Maintenace Click on change you will be able to see profile parameter and able to change their values too.

There is no t-code like rz-10.
rz10 is the t-code for profile parameters

[TimesTen]TT2778: Cannot infer type of parameter from its use

On Timesten [[TimesTen 11.2.1.5.0 ] the below query results in error TT2778.

Here both Var1String and Var2String are variables of String type.

While TimesTen has a high degree of compatibility with Oracle DB SQL there are still some significant differences due to them being essentially different products from a different origin. For example, Timesten is not really compatible with Oracle in terms of the bind-mode. Oracle uses late bind-mode and prepares queries on the first execution. TimeTen employs early bind-mode and TimesTen needs the data type before preparing queries. Because of this, the query you mentioned has different behavior in Timesten and Oracle.
You can work around this in TimesTen using somethign like the following:
SELECT COUNT(*) cnt123 FROM DUAL WHERE CAST(%Str1 AS VARCHAR2(1000)) like CAST(%Str2 AS VARCHR2(1000));

How do I read a function block parameter with its object dictionary index using NI-Fbus Communications Manager Programmer VC API?

You can use marco NIFB_INDEX(index) as parameter for nif_ReadObject function. The index is the relative index of the parameter in the block.
nifError_t nifReadObject(nifDesc_t ud, NIFB_INDEX(uint32 idx), void *buffer, uint8 *length)
Please also refer to 'NI-FBUS Hardware and Software User Manual' from Start->National Instruments->NI-FBUS->Manuals. Page 6-41 ~ Page 6-44 describe the detail information about nifReadObject() function.
Page 6-51 ~ Page 6-52 explain the usage of marcos for processing index.

Scenario:
Working in a load balancing landscape
Requirement:
Need to create a BW Report iView (which isnt working)
Problem / Questions:
1. Created a BW System in portal but since its load balancing, please confirm if this is all right:
- Using Logon Tickets Name
- Group = ?group?
- Message Server = ?server?:?port?
- SID = ?r3name?
- Server Port = blank
- SAP Client = blank
- System Type = SAP_BW
- WAS Host = ?server?:?port?
- WAS Protocol = http
- User Mapping Type = admin
2. Tested the connection and the WAS & Connector Tests fail.
3. When I preview the SAP BW Report iView, get a prompt error saying
" session management will not work!
Please check the DSM log file for details.
you can turnoff this alert ..... "
Now, Ive seen many posts which show how can I disable this prompt message but it would not solve the problem. On clicking on "ok" from the above mentioned prompt, I get an error saying "Page cannot be displayed"..
Please guide.....

Do the following:
1. Property Category : Connector
Group -> You can check this from the SAP Logon Pad. Click on groups and then click on generate list.
Logical System Name -> <SID>CLNT<Client Number>
Message Server -> You can also find the message server from the SAP Logon Pad or ask the BASIS team. On SAP Logon Pad, click on groups -> You can see the servers in the group.
Remote Host Type -> 3
SAP Client -> You can get this from SAP Logon Pad or contact the BASIS team. A system can have many clients to be particular.
SID -> System ID of your BW system. This would also be available from SAP Logon Pad or contact the BASIS team for information
Server Port = The server port would be 80<System Number> i.e. 8000 if the system number is 00 and 8001 if system number is 01
System Type -> SAP_BW
2. Property Category : ITS
ITS Host Name -> If it's WAS6.40 and above, it would be an integrated ITS which means the ITS hostname is same as your BW System Host Name. i.e. xxxx.abc.com:80<system number>
ITS path -> /sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui/
ITS Protocol -> http
3. Property Category : User Management
Logon Method -> SAPLOGONTICKET
User Mapping Type -> admin, user
4. Property Category : WAS
WAS Host = Fully Qualified Domain Name of BW System : 80<system number>
WAS Protocol = http
Check the connection then.

Pass more than one parameter to ITS link

Hi all,
I have a requirement where I have a report and a tx code assigned to it. Now, I have to open this tx code through ITS, where I have to pass 6 parameters.
When I am trying to pass more than one parameter to the url, it does not work. It only takes the first parameter.
How do I resolve this?

System icon required in ITS

I'm trying to utilize an icon which is present in the R/3 system but not in BBGLOBAL. Could you tell me how to utilize this icon directly in the ITS Template?

Hi Neha,
you can use the mimeURL() function to get a URL to the icon. Insert
mimeURL(service="webgui",theme="SL",language="",name="images/icons/s_s_okay.gif");
in your code. I.e. s_s_okay.gif is the green icon from the ENTER button. To get the name of the icon you can start webgui and run transaction ICON. It will show you all available icons. Then press ctrl-key on the keyboard and click with the right mouse button on the icon. From the menu select properties which will tell you the name of the icon.

The system Pages library and its RSS feed do not work properly in SharePoint 2010

This question is about RSS feed for the system 'Pages' library in SharePoint 2010.
Now there are 5 'News' pages in the system 'Pages' library. In each news page there is one field called 'Title' for the news title. One of the news page is named 'FileNamePage5.aspx', and the news title is 'This is the title of page5'.
I have enabled RSS in Site Settings, and configured RSS Settings for the 'Pages' library from the Communications section via Document Library Settings. I selected a few columns to display in the RSS description, including the 'Title' column. In the RSS feed
(XML file) of the system 'Pages' library, I checked the XML source code, and found the news page file name appearing in the <title> tag below within the feed (XML source code).
<title>FileNamePage5</title>
and the original news title 'This is the title of page5' was appearing in the <description> tag in the feed (XML sorce code)
<description><![CDATA[<div> ... This is the title of page5... </div>]]></description>.
This would make it hard to extract ONLY the original news title (This is the title of page5) out of the feed via XSLT, because the data within the <description> tag in the feed also contains data from all other selected columns defined via the RSS
Setting. If I did not select the 'Title' column via RSS Setting above, I even could not find the orinigal news title in the RSS feed.
This is happening for all other news pages in the system 'Pages' library. Is this what SharePoint 2010 normally does? or is something wrong with the settings for site or the system 'Pages' library?
How to display ONLY the original news title (This is the title of page5) in the <title> tag in the RSS feed. Please Help me to resolve this issue.

Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display the value in Title column of Pages library in title tag in RSS Feed in SharePoint.
I tested the same scenario per your post, the title tag in RSS Feed displayed the value of Name column in libraries and displayed the value of Title column in lists.
It is by design and there is no OOB way to change the default column mapping in RSS Feed.
I recommend to customize your own RSS Feed style sheet to make the title displays the value of Title column in SharePoint libraries.

The ITS could not connect to the Web Application Server or the R/3 System

Hi Gurus
we are in the process of insalling ITS 6.20 (ITS version is 620010318381 ( itsWindowsX64_31-200001681, R/3 4.7 200)
Actually we installed it for dev/qas server with connectin mode property as "Connect to SAP system Using Applicatin Server" these are working fine for webgui!
and the same thing i installed for Production as connection mode property as " Connect to SAP System Using message Server" (hostname/IP, port as 3600 (as instance number is 00) here in the production evnironment we have 2 app servers. The installation got successful but i am not getting the log on screen through the link: http://10.3.3.175:81/scripts/wgate/webgui!
the error message is :
Connect Error
The ITS could not connect to the Web Application Server or the R/3 System
any help please

Hello Balaji,
Check the global.srvc file for errors in the R/3 system information. The ITS uses the following to connect to your system:
~appserver
~routestring
~systemname
~systemnumber
~logingroup
~messageserver
Which parameters are used depend on how you are connecting (logon group, route string, etc.)

Not able to import business system in Integration Directory

Dear all,
Currently i involved in XI system copy. As per the standard documetn i have finsihed the initial activites like EXPORT and import of abap and java files is succedded.
Now in the post instalaltion activites.
I have changed the exchange profile parameter
SLD connection.
And other post installation activites succesfully.
But I am not able to import the business system in Integration director. It throws an error by mentioning.
*Access to object list of type business system using the internalEOA service business system accessor failed *
Here we are maintaing a central SLD and hence i created the service users with specific roles.
SLDcheck is working fine and it dispalying the businees system as well.
I confirmed that the user and password are same in XI and SLD system,
But in SLD I am not able to see the domain under web as Exchagne Infrastructure alonng with the componets. I have tried to registerd the same using the note 761476 but in vain. After the changes i restarted the machin and checked the domain status in SLD technical system under exchagne Inffrastructure its not working.
Is this the problem or am i missing out somewhere?
FYI: The users are not locked.
Kindly suggest me and it will be greatful if i get immediate reply.

Hi Vijay,
It looks like the problem is with the SLD.
Did you delete the SAP ABAP and Java technical system and business systems and recreate them in the central SLD? If this was the case, then you may not be able to import them into your integration directory anymore, as the GUID of the new technical systems and business systems are not the same with the previous one.
Why not tried to recopy the SLD again, and this time do not change the technical and business systems. If the reregistration of these systems are not avoidable, then you will have to open up the copied IR for configuration.

To export system language to a browser using CALL_BROWSER

I am triggering a search help exit with the search help in my R\3 system, which indirectly takes me to the netweaver system via RFC. In the Netweaver function module I have used the call_browser FM to call a browser. While defining the URL I want to export the system language ( the one where my search help is present) in the browser. Please let me know , by calling which FM in my Netweaver system I can export system language parameter to the browser.

This isn't possible. Applets just can handle events inside its phisical area as they run in a security model called "sandbox". Using class netscape.javascript.* possiblies interaction between applets and javascripts but there are many constraints and finally method "showDocument()" just open a new http address.

i am working with webdynpro abap and using work flow in my component , here i am getting error and the error is
Parameter WI_ID contains an invalid value .
its showing the error in windows parameter : wi_id and the wi_id is type sww_wiid
and the same parameter i am using in application parameter .
can u suggest me how to use this parameter wi_id in window parameter and application parameter and what the type should be for wi_id parameter.and what the value should be for application parameter wi_id.

i have given the application parameter wi_id with type string also but in 120 client (development) is working fine. when i test in 130 client( testing) its going to dump.
what should be given to application value i given parameter wi_id and what the value should be there.
