T-stock price differences were not distributed by Material ledger

Dear All,
We have configured T-stock (Stock in transit) for movement types 601,921 in t-code OMJJ and have assigned this movements types to movement type groups of material ledger in  spro: Controlling -Product Cost Controlling -Actual Costing/Material Ledger -Material Update -Assign Movement Type Groups of Material Ledger. We use movement type group  CF with revaluation of G/L account and CO account assignment .
Than we have performed operations with T-stock movement types.
However, in ckm3 we don't see any G/L account in consumption line. In ML document there are no movement type group CF
During actual costing run (t-code ckmlcp) system requires COC.
We have analysed CKMLMV005 table data. For movements types with T-stock system puts V_REST in field User-def.name.
And there are no G/L account.
How can we solve this issue?
With best regards,
Kamila.

Hi Kamila,
SIT supports the revaluation to the original account.
Please check if the ML document has not updated the
movement type group CF, hence the revaluation of consumption points
to the COC account.
Therefore, there are two possible reasons for the revaluation going
to COC in the example:
1. The 601 T movement was posted before the customizing was carried out.
2. The customizing is incomplete for the Revaluation of consumption in transaction OMX0.
For instance if currently, there is one entry for 601 T:
601 T L E -> CF
Please, try to include additional entries for 601T:
601 T     -> CF
601 T L   -> CF
601 T   E -> CF
Please, try this in a test system, post the 601 T movement afterwards
and check the results.
Best regards,
MLM

  • How to resolve price difference in case of Returning material through STO

We are receiving material from our plant A to plant B. Material is manufactured in plant A and Standard price (3 S) is maintained for this material. In plant B, 2 V is maintained for this material and no excise credit is taken here. Now when i am returning unsuitable material back to plant A, there is a price difference, due to which plant A is unable to take the credit.
Is there is any process so that same material cost is picked in sto when we are returning material to plant A

In manufacturing plant Sales price is maintained as Standard price in Z-table , which is material cost + manufacturing cost. On this cost material is inward to plant B. But when material is returned back, MAP is assigned in STO, which is material Cost. The issue is due to different valuation areas at plant level in the same company.
Is there is some process to link the original STO with Return STO as discount issue does not match the prices.

How can I post a Sales Credit Note (sales invoice refereced)  for price differences but not returning goods to stock.

    Hi,
Sudas solution is the best one unless you want to cancel the whole document flow and recreat it with the correct prices.
It is not possible to create a Item Invoice or Credit in SBO withour affecting the stock.

  • Material ledger:not distributed variance-URGENT

    Dear all,
For raw material A, it issued to certain production order(say FG is B) in Apr. at the month end, I found that there are some variance(not distributed) in material A due to there is no goods receipt for production order. in May. I performed GR for B, then calculate WIP/variance and perform settlement. after that, I run CKMLCP for ML closing.
However, system can not distribute the variance which occurred in the previous month to B, this means this variance will keep in the variance account forever, and the actual cost of B is wrong.
I do not know whether this is standard SAP, our version is ECC6.0.
    thanks,
    Ben

    Hi Ben,
If you don't find the reason for 'not allocated', you should open a message in the system for SAP to check.
Check note 908776. Here you will find all possible reasons:
**'Not included' or 'Not allocated' price differences:
    A) The material has multilevel consumption alternatives (processes).
    Possible causes:
    -  Multilevel price determination was not carried out yet.
    -  Not all subsequent materials were processed by multilevel price
determination. If multilevel step has not been carried out (or
resulted in an error etc.) the price differences remain on the
input material in the 'not allocated' line.
You can verify the Actual BOM for all consumption processes to find
all output materials. You should check the status for multilevel in
    all output materials
    - the multi level document of one subsequent material is obsolet,
because it is older than the single level or multi level document of
      the  input material.
You can check this by comparing the time stamps in the documents'
      header data.
This situation occurs when the input material was reprocessed by
single level and/or multi level price determination, but not all
      depending subsequent materials were reprocessed.
To avoid such error SAP recommends to run multi level price
      determination generally with the option:
      'materials already processed: process again'.
    - For some consumption processes there was no goods receipt of the
output material in the period. In this case the price differences
can not be rolled up by multi level price determination. They
remain as 'not included' ('not allocated') at the input material.
    -  For some consumption processes, that have different output
materials (joint production) for one of the joint products (the
materials that receive costs according to the apportionment
structure)  the goods receipt has not been posted yet. In this case
the differences to be allocated to this joint product remain as
'not included' ('not allocated') at the input material
    -  One output was calculated with reduced BOM. Typically this happens
if input and output material are part of a cycle, and this cycle
was cut off because it didn't converge. In this case the price
differences of the input were not rolled-up along the cycle
connections and therefore remain on the input material. To verify
if this case applies check the multi level document of the output
material. There must be a red light in the item line of the input
material to indicate that no price differences have been rolled up.
In the header data of the multi level document you can see the
cycle number. Furthermore in the log of multi-level price
determination there may be a message 'Cycle * cut off after *
    iterations'.
    B) Material has Single level consumption alternatives
    -  For release 4.7 or higher, the step 'Revaluation of consumption'
was not carried out. (This step is only available with Financials
    Extensions).

  • Price difference allocation of m-type '301'

    Dear all,
for certain material, we using m-type '301-TF transfer plnt to plnt' to transfer the stock from one plant to another one. however, after price determination and revalution consumption, price difference can not allocate to these items(CKM3) .
    would anyone help me?
    thanks,
    Ben

    Hi Ben Wu,
Do not know how you processed CKMLCP. Anyway the alternative way to test this is select only one material for which stock transfers happened...
Step 1) run CKMF - Allow Material Price Determination
            2) run CKMH - Determine Material Prices (Single-Level)
            3) run CKMG - Allow Closing Entries
            4) run CKMI - Post Closing
From the first two step itself you can analyse whether the price determination considers the price difference. If so proceed to run 3rd and 4th step.
Then check CKM3 it would be fine.

  • Price Difference account at the time of Order Settlement

    Hi SAP Gurus
While doing Period End Activities in Controlling, Variances are getting posted to Price difference account (P&L account), similarly at the time of MIRO also, any adjusted amount of a material, is getting posted to price difference a/c if the material stock is not available.
Please help me where this Price diffrence account is assigned or mapped in sap, and how it getting affected while settling orders.
    Expecting an immediate reply.

    Praveen Kumar.B

    Hi Ganesh
Thanks for valuable advice, but in our case when i double click PRD, there is only one account is mapped in our chart of accounts, But there is no field for Valuation class, from Account field and to account field,
only one field is there by nme Account, where in Price difference account is maintained.
I don't have the option of linking Valuation class with GL Accounts of RM & Semi Finished Materials.
How can make those fields to be shown in that Screen.
If  i check for other chart of accounts, it is showing 3 fields
such as Valuation class, from account no & to account no.
but for our chart of account only one filed "account" is displayed in the screen.
    Please help me out.

  • Cost price differences in subcontracting PO's invoicing

    Hello,
Which transaction key (of automatic postings) will be used by the system if I create an invoice for a subcontacting PO for a bigger value (in price) than the receipted?
Is it allways the PRD (Cost (Price) differences)? If not, on what does it depend?
    Thanks!

    Hello,
Thanks for all your replies (even if they were not 100% helpfull).
My problem is exactly the following:
For subcontrating PO's we have a price condition which imputates a % of the total cost to an account which will be payed to the carrier (this works perfectly) for the freight.
The problem is that if we try to invoice this document (which is not against the vendor of the PO but against a vendor which is the carrier) for more value than the expected then the Price Difference is not charged against any account! (the warning of the price tollerance is showed but the system doesn't know were to charge this difference).
    Please help!
    Thanks!!

  • CO-Product, price difference issue

    Dear Experts,
we are getting a probleum in CO-product, price difference do not split correctly.
Suppose there are three product A is the main product and B, C are Co-product, maintain equal valance number in material master MRP-2 view,
Planned qty in BOM is A-40, B-30,C-30
Actual GR QTY from PO.      A-50,B-20,C-30
Price difference after settlement is 50,000/-, that fifty thousad should be distributed in actual quantity receive from from PO but system distributed on planned quantity, Material Ladger is active.
Please help to solve the issue
    Thank you,

    Hi Tanmay
Pls check if the settlement rule in production order is updated according to rules from material master.
Remember that first you have to update the rules in material master and after create the PO, so it gets the rules from material master.
I believe you can also change the rules for co-product in KOB5.

  • MRKO with price difference

    Hi,
We will use SAP consignment solution for vendor consignment, SAP using MRKO to sette the consignment stock, which not allow to change posting date and price difference.
Do you have experience for MRKOfor:
    1. Change posting date
    2. Change price
What developemnt need to be made?
    Thanks

    Hello!
For Material Movement with price difference, i find that most of the transactions posted in reply to this thread do not allow us to enter the amount externally.
You can use movement type 521 for posting a movement with price difference, by first issuing the material to the cost center and then receiving it by T. Code MIGO ->Goods Reciept -> Others and movement type 521.
If you find this helpful, please reward me with points!

  • Price difference in the latest invoice document and the last change to

    Hi gurus,
This is regarding the price difference of the latest invoice document price with respect to the price of last time the document was invoiced.Without using the customer exit or back-end developement. need info if this can be done on the front-end using the front-end tool bex designer using the CKF, RKF , Variables or conditions etc
say for instance the user wants to get the price differences with respect to the invoices for a certain period that is from 01/01/2008 to 06/30/2008( dynamic entry can be any range).
Once the user enters the range for the billing document date as 01/01/2008 to 06/30/2008 the query should return the report as
Sold-to(customer) Material, Bill doc date and the price difference. these are the four columns  the users needs in the report.
now the bill-doc date will the latest invoice date for the sold-to & material, but the price difference will be the price of the last invoice date(for the sold-to , material)  - the latest invoice date price.
    Example. between 01/101/2008 - 06/30/2008
    customer : 2765 , material : XAWE33636FD this particular customer-product had 3 invoices on 02/15/2008 , 04/18/2008 and 06/03/2008.
    price on 02/15/2008 : $1.09
    price on 04/18/2008: $1.87
    price on 06/03/2008: $3.84
so the report should look like
customer        material                bill doc date       price diff
    2765            XAWE33636FD        06/03/2008           3.84- 1.87( latest invoice price - last invoice price)
    Thanks
    appreciate responses

    Hi,
I think you will need at least some backend devlopment for this first and foremost being mapping the invoice date from souce to the Bill date.
Getting price difference is not an issue as much as tracking dates. I think you will need a counter to track the last invoice date which really needs ABAP coding
An exit would be much easier to have this functionality rather than to create RKF's and CKF's
I will update you in case any better idea strikes.
    Good luck

  • Reg:- Price difference

    Dear All
In purchase order we maintained the exchange rate of 88.1 (Exchange rate Check box was not ticked) and the Po was in Currency GBP. When Migo was done with the exchange rate was 79.00 and while doing Miro the exchange rate was 81. So there is a rate difference of Rs 1. But now my question was this difference exchange rate is ¾ amount is posted to Material account and ¼ was posted to Prd Account.
As per my knowledge if my material price control is V the entire amount of price difference should be posted to material account but why it is posting ¾ to material account and ¼ to prd account. Is there any configuration changes to be made?
Please help regarding this and maximum points will be awarded for helpful answer.
    Regards
Edited by: vinay bhaskar on Mar 12, 2008 11:54 AM

    Hi Vinay,
The settings will remain same. But the thing is when you do MIRO if there is price variance( normal or ex rate diff) then the system will auto check the availability of the quantity of that material involved. If there is suffcient quantity to the extent of MIRO quantity then it will post to the inventory account otherwise it will post proportionate value to inv account to the extent it is available.
It seems in your case before you post miro.... 25% of the quantity is already consumed to order or cost center, whatever so and hence the posting happened to prd account to the extent of 25%...
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Version differences were generated in structure KOMP.

Our company is going to upgrade ECC 6.0 version.
So I tried to test in 6.0 test system.
When I executed in SPDD T-CODE, I compared with prior 4.7 version
    system.
I found that KOMP strucure is differ from 4.7 system version.
So errr is generated because version was not same.
I wish to adjust difference with 4.7 system version .
Answer me how version differences were not generated.

    Hey,
I think it was added in 4.6B version. You can do one thing.
Go to SE11>KOMP table->system->status>Component version->one search icon is there, click that.
There you can find out whatever modifications are done with the table.
Shout me again if any other clarification is required.

  • Change Multi-Level Price Difference Process Category

    Hello ML Gurus,
    We have a situation
Our I2P team has certain process orders that are recursive -- header material the same as component.  (These are NOT rework order types, but standard process order type PR01).  In the beginning, they posted GR as process category "Receipts", and GI as process category "Consumption". This resulted in cyclical error during CKMLCP.  When we cut off connections and ran, it left a huge price difference as "Not Allocated".
To circumvent this problem, I2P used a BADI to change the process category for the consumption to "Receipts".  Everything was ok, until the monthend.  When we do the Multi-Level Price Determination, the price difference gets posted to Consumption only, and since the original consumption is moved to "Receipts", the entire price difference is now "Not Allocated".
We think we can fix this by changing the process category for the multi-level price difference to "Receipts" also.
Is there a way to do it?  Any BADI, User Exit, Enhancement -- anything?
Also, this is not a pretty design....do you have a suggestion for improving the overall process?  We used to have a Product Cost Collector and post these consumption and then settle them monthly, but we lost traceability for the batches so we cannot and do not use them.
    Appreciate your help.
    Cheers,
    TD

    Hi,
Basically single level price determination calculates periodic unit price based prices differences for that material alone is considered
Multilevel price determination considers its own differences as well those of the input materials.
Hence single level price determination is a prerequisite for multilevel determination

Is there anyone know why and how it come and settle it ?
    thanks very much

    Dear Jin Ming Zhang,
Please, check the note 908776 which explains the possible reasons for 'not distributed' and 'not allocated' price differences.
There is no automatic procedure, but CKMVFM is a valuable tool to analyse the reason for the differences and distribute/include them.
