Tab strip push button text change for user-exit screen

Hi experts
How can I change the text of Tab strip push button which is maitained by screen user-exit.Such as I maintained the user exit MEREQ001,In the screens of TCODE me51n there have a subscreen named
"CUSTOMER DATA",Now I want change the text.

create ab push button without any text. In the run time you can assign test to this as follows.
suppose name of the button is PUSHBUT.
PUSHBUT = 'EDIT'.

Problem in transporting the text elements for user exit EXIT_SAPLV09A_002

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in transporting the text element (text symbol) for the exit EXIT_SAPLV09A_002. It is implemented and transported but the text elements are not transported and even if I try to delete them and then create them again, on activation it doesn't prompts for TO and it version its shows it as local object. I have tried to manually assign the TO by using limu as id of program and rept as type and SAPLXV09 as the name of the object but still it doesn't allows as an error message comes prompting local object cannot be assigned to TO. Kindly suggest solution this problem.

Hello ,
In the Quality after you run the report check in the layout option>display text elements> variables and check what value is displayed for the use exit variable , if it is correct then problem may be in the selection you gave when you run the report if the user exit variable value is wrong , then set a break point in the code and run the report from rsrt and check where the error is.

Simple doubt that, am wrting code in a User Exit. So, here my code works only, if the DOC TYPE = 'XXX'.
So, instead of using hard coding as 'XXX', I wuld like to use a text element, like
if DOC TYPE = text-xxx.

and creating the same text element.
so, let me know that,

u can also use SET ID's if u dont want to hardcode like that in ur program.
if u use SET ids , no need of transport request in case of change in the DOC types , directly u can change values in that set it , its like a master id.
sytax will be like this
doc_type in g_doc_type(this is set id ).
for creation of set ids see tcode GS01.

Need user exit / screen exit for SE38 program variant save

Hi ABAPers,
Need user exit / screen exit for SE38 program variant save action to log addition details of variant changes done and relavent ticket details in z table.
Currently table VARID table stores only latest change and not history.
We need to avoid logging enabling for table VARID and custom field addition in it.
Please advice.

Help reqd for user exit

Hi all,
the requirement is...
In MIRO,the Incoimg invoice should not be posted without an empty field of amount(WRBTR) in the Basic Data.Currently as per std,it's not a mandatory field and can be posted by not entering any amount in that.So, either we have to make it as a mandatory field or should restrict not to saving the data if posting of empty field.(Not giving any amount)***seems,it tells the user to give the amount as mandatory.
How to do this.....if its coming under the USER Exit object...pls post both how to get the std program and enhancement assignment(it asks while creating user exit in CMOD) also for user exit.

Value for user-exit variable is invalid

My Value for a Fiscal Year Prd returns a invalid value for the 12th month of each year( for Example 12/2004, returns the error "Value 200313 for User-exit variable is invalid.
This is the code that is being used.

Need help for user exit mereq001

Hi,
I need help for user exit mereq001. I think I messed up with include table CI_EBANDB and CI_EBANMEM. And When I tried to check the syntax . It gives me error like : Class IF_PURCHASE_REQUISITION. Inconsistency in the dictionary for the structure mereq_item_s_cust_data. Anyone had experience for this exit? I just need to extract costcenter information of the each item from the requisition and block the requisiton if the costcenter are differents from each other before the requisition is saved. Any one has idea about it?

Have you checked this struture consistency from SE11. Also check the activation log.
If there are any errors and you are not able to rectify the same use RSDDCHECK program, give your table name and run the report.
This will list down the error structures releated this table and also prompts for you to activate it.

It is difficult to understand your requirement,but I suggest you please refer document on mobile data entry screen. Also to develop screen you have to use standard RF screen. Please consult with technical person who has worked on development of RFscreen.

Welcome to SDN.
COMMIT WORK should not be used in a user exit. This reason is that it could/will commit all work done by the entire transaction and could possibily create data inconsistancy.
Also LEAVE TO TRANSACTION and SUBMIT statements should also be not used. It will terminate the current LUW.

Could any one let me know the exact/practical dIfference Between User Exits, Screen Exits, Menu Exits And BADI. ? And why BADIs are more proned to use?

Hi,
User Exits:
A user exit is a three character code that instructs the system to access a program during system processing.
SXX: S is for standard exits that are delivered by SAP. XX represents the 2-digit exit number.
UXX: U is for user exits that are defined by the user. XX represents the 2-digit exit number
Menu Exits:
Menu exits add items to the pulldown menus in standard SAP applications. You can use these menu items to call up your own screens or to trigger entire add-on applications.
SAP creates menu exits by defining special menu items in the Menu Painter. These special entries have function codes that begin with "+" (a plus sign). You specify the menu items text when activating the item in an add-on project.
Screen Exits:
Screen exits add fields to screens in R/3 applications. SAP creates screen exits by placing special subscreen areas on a standard R/3 screen and calling a customer subscreen from the standard screens flow logic.
BADIs:
Business Add-Ins are a new SAP enhancement technique based on ABAP Objects. They can be inserted into the SAP System to accommodate user requirements too specific to be included in the standard delivery. Since specific industries often require special functions, SAP allows you to predefine these points in your software.
And why BADIs are more proned to use?
In contrast to above customer exits, Business Add-Ins no longer assume a two-level infrastructure (SAP and customer solutions), but instead allow for a multi-level system landscape (SAP, partner, and customer solutions, as well as country versions, industry solutions, and the like). Definitions and implementations of Business Add-Ins can be created at each level within such a system infrastructure.
SAP guarantees the upward compatibility of all Business Add-In interfaces. Release upgrades do not affect enhancement calls from within the standard software nor do they affect the validity of call interfaces. You do not have to register Business Add-Ins in SSCR.
The Business Add-In enhancement technique differentiates between enhancements that can only be implemented once and enhancements that can be used actively by any number of customers at the same time. In addition, Business Add-Ins can be defined according to filter values. This allows you to control add-in implementation and make it dependent on specific criteria (on a specific Country value, for example).
All ABAP sources, screens, GUIs, and table interfaces created using this enhancement technique are defined in a manner that allows customers to include their own enhancements in the standard. A single Business Add-In contains all of the interfaces necessary to implement a specific task.
The actual program code is enhanced using ABAP Objects. In order to better understand the programming techniques behind the Business Add-In enhancement concept, SAP recommends reading the section on ABAP Objects.
