"Table Action: Override OPI truncate command"

Hi All,
I am working on BI Apps 7.9.6.3, informatica 9.0 , DAC and OBIEE 11g.
I am doing SCM full load, i have face some issue like
executing sql (Truncate OPI:ORA_R12)
          Call apps.OPI_OBIA_BOMPEXPL_WRAPPER_PKG.do_sql('TRUNCATE TABLE OPI.OPI_OBIA_W_BOM_HEADER_DS')
          "Truncate OPI" failed on "ORA_R12"
          sql: Call apps.OPI_OBIA_BOMPEXPL_WRAPPER_PKG.do_sql('TRUNCATE TABLE OPI.OPI_OBIA_W_BOM_HEADER_DS')
          Error: MESSAGE:::ORA-06576: not a valid function or procedure name
:OPI_OBIA_W_BOM_HEADER_DS:"Table Action: Override OPI truncate command"
how to solve this issue...
Please give me your suggestions.
Regards
Prashant

Hi,
we also had faced the same issue,
for this, first we need to run table scripts for creating BOM tables in ur source. U have look into the BI Apps configuration guide for more details.
If ur schema in which u r creating the table is not apps. In DAC, goto tools->seed data->Actions->table actions and select the task 'OPI Truncate table" and click on the value corresponding to that action and change the schema name and trigger the load.
Thanks

    Any thoughts ?

    Oracle Support/ Professional Services has a Data Unloader (DUL) and ORA-00600 has DUDE, both of which may be able to extract information from data files that are corrupted, where the control files are lost, etc.
    These are not, however, cheap utilities. Unless the data itself is really valuable, it is generally not a viable option.

  • Auditing question executing the TRUNCATE command.

    Hello.
    We have some audit controls in place that interrogate SQL codes to determine whether an INSERT, UPDATE or DELETE command has been executed by a user. However, when a user executes a TRUNCATE command, an sudit record is not generated. Since I cannot find a specific code for Truncate, I was thinking that the code that caputes a DELETE command would work... but it doesn't appear that is the case.
    We only have a very few users that can issue the TRUNCATE command, but I'd like to know if anyone knows of a specific code for TRUNCATE. Or if anyone has an idea how we could generate AUDIT records when a user does issue a TRUNCATE command.
    Thanks!

    There is certainly a lot of bad information floating around on this topic.
    "Audit table" will audit create table, drop table and truncate table - which is absolutely true. It is the ONLY way to reliably audit truncate table operations.
    Object auditing on a specific table (e.g. audit all on scott.mytab) never creates an audit record for truncation.
    You can audit "DROP ANY TABLE" which will create an audit record ONLY when someone with the DROP ANY TABLE system privilege attempts to truncate a table in another schema.
    Contrary to what some "experts" (including at least one ACE) think, "audit truncate table" is NOT valid syntax.
    "Audit truncate" does not return an error, but (as far as I can tell and I've actually tested it on 9.2.0.4, 10.2.0.1, 10.2.0.5 and 11.2.0.3) it does nothing. It creates no record in DBA_STMT_AUDIT_OPTS or DBA_PRIV_AUDIT_OPTS and it never produces a record in the audit trail. It is a half-baked auditing option that does not actually work - so, "audit truncate" should return an error!

  • How to add table actions to an Advanced Table programmatically

    We have code in my CO which builds an advanced table dynamically and associates it with a VO. The table comes out looking good - the correct columns and data are displayed.
    I now want to add Table Actions for that particular dynamically created table.
    The code below builds the buttons correctly and they are built/rendered just fine.
    After adding this code to build the FlowLayout bean, add the buttons and associate the it to the TableActions of the advanced table bean, none of the buttons on the page work anymore. Each time I click any button (even if it's a page level button like 'Save' or 'Cancel'), I get the following error:
    +## Detail 0 ##+
    java.lang.NullPointerException
    +     at java.util.Hashtable.get(Hashtable.java:336)+
    I have added debug statements in by CO, but it is never even getting into the ProcessFormRequest
    Below is the code we are using. Can anyone suggest a way to have this flow layout created dynamically like this and not break all button functionality on the page?
    //Create the advanced table
    OAAdvancedTableBean tableBeanP1 = (OAAdvancedTableBean)createWebBean(pageContext, ADVANCED_TABLE_BEAN, null,"Proc1Tab");
    tableBeanP1.setViewUsageName("P100DetailsVO1");
    tableBeanP1.setNumberOfRowsDisplayed(10);
    //Create a new flow layout to be used as the table actions
    OAFlowLayoutBean tableActionBean = (OAFlowLayoutBean)createWebBean(pageContext, FLOW_LAYOUT_BEAN, null, "P1ButtonRegion");
    //Create the "Add Control Group" button for this table:
    OAButtonBean addButtonBean = (OAButtonBean)createWebBean(pageContext, BUTTON_BEAN, null, "P1AddCtrlGroup");
    FireAction FireActionAddGroup = new FireAction();
    FireActionAddGroup.setEvent("AddCtrlGroup");
    Parameter param = new Parameter();
    param.setKey("ProcedureIndex");
    param.setValue("1");
    Parameter[] params = {param};
    FireActionAddGroup.setParameters(params);
    addButtonBean.setPrimaryClientAction(FireActionAddGroup);
    addButtonBean.setText("Add Control Group");
    tableActionBean.addIndexedChild(addButtonBean);
    //Add the table actions bean to the table:
    tableBeanP1.setTableActions(tableActionBean);

    Hello Ashley,
    you are already close to the solution. In BADI QISR1 you simply fill the
    table SPECIAL_DATA e.g.like
      fieldindex = 1
      fieldname = 'FIELD1'
      fieldvalue = 'Value1'
      fieldindex = <n>
      fieldname = 'FIELD1'
      fieldvalue = 'VALUE<n>'
    Then on the Adobe form layout (Adobe Designer), you have to use the table control XFO from the standard library. Here you have to bind then the corresponding column to FIELD1.
    Best regards,
    Simon

  • Creating LOV  in Table Action.

    Hi,
    Can we create a LOV in table action ,if yes then is LOV Action button is the only way of achieving that.As lot of issue are there if i use LOV action instead of LOV as no criteria item is present in LOV action button.
    Thanks

    HI,
    What i was trying to ask is ,am trying to create a LOV in table's table action section.Its working fine till am trying to search any thing in the LOV,Now when i select a item the I.E page show a error logo below and the control doesn't come's back to the main page.
    So i want to know wheather creating LOV in table action section is feasible or not as in devloper guide things are mentioned on creating message components and message choice in table action.

  • Wrong add_child info at table actions in Querybuilder at Apex 4.x

    I found it in Apex4.0 (but not reported) and found same behaviour in Apex4.0.1
    If you use qurybuilder for joined tables (create sql) you choose a table then click on "table actions"box and you will get add_parent, add_child.
    This works fine for DEMO_ORDER_ITEMS: you see Add_Parent and you can choose
    join ORDER_ID to DEMO_ORDERS_OrderID and
    join PRODUCT_ID to DEMO_PRODUCT_INFO.PRODUCT_ID
    But for DEMO_PRODUCT_INFO you get only an EMPTY add_child ??
    =>thats wrong
    For DEMO_ORDERS you will find
    in BOTH (?) add_parent and add_child
    join CUSTOMER_ID to DEMO_CUSTOMERS.CUSTOMER_ID and
    join USER_ID to DEMO_USERS.user_id
    => thats wrong for the child
    For DEMO_CUSTOMERS,DEMO_USERS you will get an EMPTY add_child
    => thats wrong
    The joining works fine at apex.3.x but not for apex4.x

    Thanks for letting us know. I have filed bug# 10055032 for that issue.

    Per-Signature SigEvent count since reset
    Sig 60000.0 = 1
    Yes, single signature fired, but the number of "Preliminary Stage Alerts" was 60 !? What happened with other 59 alerts ???

    Only when the alert has at least one action will it be passed to the event action handler.
    So the other 59 alerts did not have any event action. Either no action was added directly from the signature definition, or the alerting type actions were removed because of summarization, or the actions were removed by filters.
    There are several signatures that are intentionally created without actions. These signatures are what we call meta component signatures. On their own they don't mean much and so we remove all actions and they do not generate alerts into the eventstore. They trigger internally in sensorApp but do not get written to the eventstore. These alerts are internally monitored by Meta signatures. When multiple component signatures are triggered, then a Meta signature may trigger and it is the Meta signature that would have a produce-alert event action and be written to the eventStore.
    With summarization the signature has a produce-alert action, but the summarizer routines see that the signature is being triggered multiple times with same addresses. The summarizer will allow through an alert on the first triggering. Later triggerings with the same address set will cause the summarizer to automatically remove the produce-alert action (and other alert causing actions). So the summarized alerts will not get written to the eventStore.
    NOTE: In your output this happened for at least 43 of these alerts.
    Filters may also be matching the alerts, and the filters may be removing the event actions.
    So if the event actions have all be removed (or none were ever added), then the alert will not be passed to the event action handler.
    In your output only 1 of the 60 alerts wound up with any actions needing to be executed.

  • 1.Assign shortcuts to scripts 2. Actions remember insert menu commands when app is started

    It been ask before... Many times.  There is probably a current request right now.   It will be asked again... And again... And again...  Under keyboard shortcuts, allow scripts to assigned a shortcut.  Also have actions remember insert menu commands when the application is restarted.   Was patiently waiting years ago... Now I am starting to grit my teeth. When my dentist lectures me over grinding my teeth, she will not be as forgiving as I have been over the years.   It is time to set a small portion of available resources to fix and add functionality to this.

    OK, so at least we have one solution "with shortcut for script problem":
    1. Put "script.jsx" into folder  Mac OS X > Applications/Adobe Illustrator {version}/Presets/{Lang}/Scripts
    2. Make Action, "insert menu item" in it -> select "File\Scripts\script.jsx"
    3. Assign shortcut to this action. PROFIT
    But! The problem is: Illustrator "forgets" about menu item in action after restart.
    Therefore you can use script shortcut only one time per "session", and every time starting we need to make "insert menu item".
    Well, this is the second part of topic question, I guess. And I don't have solution. This is what I got:
    0. If you have several scripts with shortcuts, everyday inserting all scripts in actions is boring. Make a folder for this actions. And "Save actions" it to ".aia"
    1. Every time starting Illustrator — Delete folder with your special "scripts-actions" (because it's actions is emptied!)
    2. Then go to "File>Scripts>...". Now just gently stroke your scripts with cursor. Like a kitty. Ahahaha! )) It is not a joke!!! Do not start the scripts, just enter to its' submenu.
    3. Now "Load actions" from your .aia. Have a nice automated session with your magic scripts! This works for me. If you have daily work routine and 5-10 scripts, this is the best solution.
    * If you skip step 2, you will get "Some event has not been registered for actions"! And empty action. If first you will stroke the kitty, you will get your magic shortcuts after "Loading actions"! As I told, this not a joke, but strange Illustrator behavior.
    * If you did not delete previous folder (step 1), you'll get 2 folders with actions, old one — without scripts, new one — without assigned shortcuts. And nothing works. Delete all and reload.
    * One more thing. I have Scriptographer Extension. This extension manages scripts (js) and has "scriptographer palette". In this palette I found shortcuts, to execute selected script and etc. So, in theory it is possible to rebuild this extension with shortcuts for some scripts. Maybe we should dig in that direction? I'm too stupid for this.

  • Can double tap action override table view tap functionality?

    So I have a table view object in my view...if you select a row, it executes the "didSelectRowAtIndexPath" method in my code.
    I would like the user to have the ability to double-tap (in quick succession) a row however, and register a different type of action. Is this possible to do without overriding the existing "didSelectRowAtIndexPath"...or will I need to write my own single-tap/double-tap logic using onTouchesBegin and then forget about using the whole "didSelectRowAtIndexPath" functionality?
    The main issue, is I don't want to have to lose the benefit of the single-tap and knowing the indexPath value...but when I do a double tap, it won't really matter where I'm at...

    Here's the best info I've found on this topic so far: [http://idevkit.com/forums/general-sdk/43-custom-uitableview-double-tap.html]. It looks like the author has read Handling Single and Multiple Tap Gestures in the +iPhone Application Programming Guide+ and has overcome most of the problems, but I haven't tried any of that code myself yet.

    First: you should get a new keyboard. Seems your shift-key is stuck.
    Second: A header of a post is a header and not for a summary of your question
    Third: This is the forum for the tool SQL Developer. Please mark this question as answered and post again in Forms
    Forth: When you expect an answer, the least would be to include the errormessage and your forms version.

  • Convert table linked report into a Command version - Howto?

    How can I convert hundreds of reports from table linked into a Command version?
    One way to do is to take the SQL syntax off the report, add a Command with that Syntax and manually replace the database fields by the Command fields.
    I can not believe that is the right way to this. Is there no hidden (re-)mapping fields button or another undocumented feature?
    If this is the way to do it... when will there be a one-button-click solution. The underlaying data keeps the same, could not be that hard to build..?
    Without that basic functionality Crystal Reports is not option for us anymore.
    Backgroud: We do have hundreds of reports that are created by an ODBC (RDO) database (SQL Anywhere database), created by linking the tables and select the fields we like to use in the report. This works fine at least as we used the RDC method in our application. Because we are moving to .NET we could not use RDC anymore and have to use the .NET methods. However the .NET SDK is very limited. The only way to add more complex WHERE statements is to use the Command functionality of Crystal Reports.

    Hi Hans,
    Let me explain, Command Objects are sent directly to the DB server as is. CR does not alter the SQL at all. As you know in SQL there are minor differences between the various servers and the SQL syntax can vary from DB to DB. Because of this CR could not build in the logic to handle the vast number of potential mappings, and not jsut SQL types but also PC databases.
    To be able to map reports based on connections directly to the DB through a Command object the current versions of CR do not have the ability. Possibly the next version may have this feature though but we can't say for sure until it's released. Check our WEB site for new versions and there functionality.
    Next question about moving off of the RDC to .NET, you are correct. CR no longer allows you to modify the SQL statement directly. The RDC was actually supposed to stop you also but it did work.
    One possible solution is to use .NET and inProc RAS ( Report Application Server) and using record sets. Your app can get the SQL from the report, process the query and appending the info onto the WHERE clause as well as other filtering and then set the existing reports data source to the record set. As long as your data is less than 5000 rows then no performance issues, over 5K and you may start to see slow report processing. Depends on other info and report complexity etc.
    If this is an option for you please post your question to the Crystal .NET development forum. Also, you will need to use 12.x.2000.x versions of the CR .NET assemblies and not use the basic version 10.5 or 10.2 that comes with .NET 2008 and 2005.
    Thank you
    Don

  • Jdeveloper - af:table scroll bar disappearing/truncating

    Hello,
    I'm having some issues with an af:table bound to a view object. The table is displaying questions to be administered to students applying for a scholarship. New questions can be created via a popup.. new questions are committed when the user clicks a save button on the popup, and the table is refreshed.
    The edit question popup uses af:inputText components to record most of the information for the new question being created. In particular, there is a field called "Question Text" - the display text for the question - which we put a 1000 character limit on. When typing in characters, at a certain point a scroll bar appears on the inputText component. I've noticed that after adding a few questions with the max # of characters, if I add a question, the question text of which doesn't have the max # of characters (and thus has a smaller scroll bar on the inputText component of my edit question popup) when I return to the main table, I lose functionality on my table scroll bar!
    For example, any time I make 2 questions with 1000 characters, and then a 3rd question with only two lines of Question Text, the scroll bar on the main table disappears completely until refreshed.
    Another time, I made 4 questions with a couple lines of Question Text, then 5 questions (#'s 5-9) with 1000 characters in the question text, then 3 questions that had just enough text to trigger a scroll bar in the inputText component of the Edit Question popup. When I would return to the table after creating questions 10-12, the most recent question would be in view... but if I scrolled to the top of the table and back down, I could only scroll down to question #9.
    All of my created data IS there, and a refresh restores the functionality of the table scroll bar. But has anyone seen behavior like this or have any suggestions of table settings, or how to best return from the edit question pop up (maybe I should re-execute the table's VO and NOT try to maintain currency on the newly created row..?) that might fix this?
    I'm including the code for my table and popup below just so you can see their settings. Of course, the components involved in this issue are part of a much larger system, so if there isn't enough information in this post to address the issue and you need any specific information (code from a backing bean/action listener method, etc..) just let me know!
    Thanks for looking.

    Thanks Mohammad
    I tried this but doesn't work. Also I save the getRangeStart return value before Rollback and tried to set with scrollRange(range) or scrollToRangePage(range) methods after Rollback but nothing changes, the scrollbar resets to the top position. The getCurrentRow and getRangeStart methods return the original values before rollback, but the scrollbar continue moving at the top position of the table...
    Any suggestions?
