Can double tap action override table view tap functionality?

So I have a table view object in my view...if you select a row, it executes the "didSelectRowAtIndexPath" method in my code.
I would like the user to have the ability to double-tap (in quick succession) a row however, and register a different type of action. Is this possible to do without overriding the existing "didSelectRowAtIndexPath"...or will I need to write my own single-tap/double-tap logic using onTouchesBegin and then forget about using the whole "didSelectRowAtIndexPath" functionality?
The main issue, is I don't want to have to lose the benefit of the single-tap and knowing the indexPath value...but when I do a double tap, it won't really matter where I'm at...

Here's the best info I've found on this topic so far: [http://idevkit.com/forums/general-sdk/43-custom-uitableview-double-tap.html]. It looks like the author has read Handling Single and Multiple Tap Gestures in the +iPhone Application Programming Guide+ and has overcome most of the problems, but I haven't tried any of that code myself yet.

  • Tables/views/Procedures/functions etc are not showing up in tree view, but can execute select * on dba_objects (can view in DBVisualizer)

    There was one other thread from years ago detailing this same problem. The only clue was to check whether select all privs were enabled for the user on dba_objects. They are for the user accessing the system. In fact, all tables/views/procs/funcs can be viewed in the tree view of DBVisualizer.  For whatever reason, OSD does not show anything.
    I'd appreciate any clues! Thank you!
    OSD Version  Version 4.1.0.18
    OS: Windows 7/64
    Java: 1.8.0
    Connecting to Oracle 11g 11.2.0.3.0

    Thank you, Gary.
    I updated the post with the version info. I did not explicitly install this JDBC driver, so whatever the OSD came with?  Unless it is using whatever is installed on my machine, in which case would be the thin driver.
    I did check out that post, and I appreciate you sharing it. I did click the 'include synonyms' filter, but behavior remained unchanged.
    I would prefer to use OSD, and that is what our dev team was expecting to use, but we just can't see the information.  We are using an ID that does not 'own' those tables, per se.  But, why would DBVisualizer show these tables, when OSD does not?

  • Can not update data in table view

    When i open a table from a connection in the connection navigator i can not alter the data in it... I can only add new rows. Is there a setting so i can alter the data?
    My user has update rights because when i write my own update statement and execute it, it works fine.

    I found the issue... You can do it in 10g but you have to define a PK on the table, otherwhise he does not know what row to update. When i added a PK i could edit the data in Jdev in data view.

  • Loaded dump from 12.5.4 to 15.7, Error 622 & Tables/Views not found

    Hi all,
    I am getting desperate trying to fix that issue. I had to import a dump from an ASE 12.5.4 into a new database on an ASE 15.7. I therefore enabled the compatibility mode server-wide and then proceeded to the load which seems to have performed correctly. The database seems well imported, and I can access most of the tables/views/procedures (from my C# application), but a procedure is giving me troubles.
    I am getting this error while executing a given procedure :
    Error: 622, Severity: 20, State: 1
    Opentable was passed a varno of 52. Object 'temp worktable' in database 'tempdb' already has that session descriptor in use. This occured while opening object id -1245236 in database id 2.
    I realised this was caused by a view which is used in this procedure but which is weird is that the error is not thrown when running the SQL code itself, out of the procedure context.
    I am using Toad for Sybase as a client, and realised I cannot access the data tab of the concerned view, Toad gives me the same error. So I cannot execute this view while it performs without any trouble on  the original server (production server which runs ASE 12.5.4).
    I also realised, when trying to execute some pieces of the query individually that I get warnings about unfound tables (and that I should use sp_help to fix the problem). Although, the tables actually exists and I can access their data.
    I have tried so many things and still cannot fix this problem. I've used 'upgrade_object', 'sp_recompile' on all tables, 'dbcc reindex' on all tables.
    Would you have any idea where the problem could come from? Thank you very much

    Thank you for your reply.
    Good to know that enabling compatibility mode before or after loading the load doesn't have any effect.
    I didn't drop/recreate all the SP and views but I can tell you I recreated a similar view and it causes the same issue.
    I had a look at your link yes. I have run 'dbcc upgrade_object' several times already, on the view and the procedures calling the view, and it won't solve anything.
    I've seen a similar post about the problem I have when executing the code itself of the view in a "normal" adhoc query (errors saying the tables are not found) : SAP Sybase Forums - ASE - Backup and Recovery - PRoblem after restore - Object does not exist.
    Could it be the same problem for me?
    Although I've tried splitting the SQL query and executing the parts individually and it works without any trouble. Problem is when the 2 parts of the view are put together. It may be something that was possible with ASE 12.5.4 but not with 15.7 and that compatiblity mode doesn't solve. My view consists of an union a two selects where both have left joins, case when then else, not in and a final group by (adding an order by doesn't help, as I tried).
    PS : I don't have access to the production server where the dump is actually from (but I could if it is really necessary)

  • Can I define a SQL Server View to Oracle data?

    So I have a subset of data whose source of truth resides in an Oracle Database. Can I define a SQL Server View to retrieve this subset of data and make it available on the SQL Server side for say Reporting and SSRS? I think I also saw where they tend to
    prefer User-Defined functions as opposed to a view. If I define the view using an OPENQUERY, I have noticed that it seems to run FOREVER on the SQL Server side and returns pretty timely if I run in Oracle SQL Developer. Is there anything I can tweak to improve
    this timeliness or lack there of?
    And the whole reason I'd like to create a view of this Oracle data is so that I can take advantage of all the views and functions that we have created on the SQL Server side.
    Has anyone gone down this path and can offer some advice and web sites or YouTubes as to the best way to approach this?
    Thanks for your review and am hopeful for a reply while I keep Googling this.

    There are couple of ways by which you can connect and fetch the data
    OPENQUERY - which you are already using [uses linked server] -
    runs on remote server
    OPENROWSET - I would like to avoid this because it requires crenditials
    OPENDATASET - Similar issue like OPENROWSET
    Directly access linked server like LINKEDSERVER.DATABASE.SCHEMA.TABLE -
    runs on your local server
    Now, performance
    basically, they have the same performance advantages and disadvantages when connecting to remote server. But you can enhance it by
    Avoiding data conversion
    Using procedure on Oracle and then call it from SQL Server (due to compiled plan your result will be faster)
    Avoiding dealing with complex data types
    If you are dealing with large number of records, try using Oracle connector in SSIS. I found it working much better than SQL sometimes.
    Hope this will help
    Glad to help! Please remember to accept the answer if you found it helpful. It will be useful for future readers having same issue.

  • Is there any software which displays all form objects - tables, views, etc?

    Dear friends,
    I need to know if we have some software product which opens an Oracle form and shows all objects (tables, views, procedures, functions, and so on) accessed by it.
    For each form, this software should show all operations made in each table - that is, whether form creates, updates, reads or deletes data in each table accessed by the form.
    If there's any software which makes such analysis, please let me know. I'd rather be downloading free software, but a trial version or a paid one can be considered as well.
    Best regards,
    Franklin

    Hello all,
    sorry, I don't know whether my 1st message was clear, so I am trying to rewrite it.
    I'm thinking about a software which creates a database objects list report; this report shows all database objects being accessed by the form - for example, it can list all tables being accessed by the form, showing a CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) for each accessed table, or list all packages being executed by the same form, and so on. For example:
    Form: CLI0001.FMB
    Package -> Operation
    PCK_ACCOUNTS -> E (Execute; but that's a suggestion, we can have 'R' instead)
    Table -> Operation
    ACCOUNTS -> CR (Create + Read)
    PAYMENTS -> D (Delete)
    Sequence -> Operation
    SEQ_ACCOUNTS -> R (Read)
    View -> Operation
    VW_CLIENTES -> R (Read)
    If there's any software which can do it, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Franklin

  • Interface tables/views

    Hello,
    After reading some EBS doc, I have some doubts. What I want to do is to integrate the EBS with other product (use EBS as a datasource of this product).
    The first step I did was trying to connect via JDBC driver to the EBS and it was successfull. I can see and import its tables/views. But here is my doubt: the doc talks about "open interface tables" and "open interface views" and I wonder... are there any other tables and views not belonging to the "open interface" ones? By using the SQL Developer I see two tabs (one for tables and one for views) (well, I see more tabs, but they do not worht for this question). Are all tables ("open" and "not open") in the "tables" tab (the same for the views)? If there are "open" and "not open" tables/views, how can I distinguish them? Is there an API for this? I guess "open interface" tables and views are reliable, it is, its schema never change and an app can rely on them... is it ok?
    I am using EBS 12.1.1
    Thank you for your time. If this question is already answer, please redirect me to the rigth post.

    Please, I only need to know how to distinguish between "open interface" tables and "base" tables... I understand that with "views" there is not such a difference, is it?
    Thanks.

  • How to add button to Table View and initiate action?

    hello,
    i'm new to Javafx 2, i recently followed the tutorial on tableview and would like to add a deletion action on particular row. What i had in mind was to add a delete button on the last column of each row, when clicked it will fire a handler and remove that row from the data observablelist. how do i do that?
    please advice,

    Hi,
    Please find the below code. I am creating a table view with two columns. The second column consists of delete button.
    TableVeiw table = new TableView();
    /*First column*/
    final TableColumn<String> titleCol = new TableColumn<String>("Title");
    titleCol.setProperty("title");
    /*Second column*/
    TableColumn<String> actionCol = new TableColumn<String>("Action");
    actionCol.setCellFactory(new Callback<TableColumn<String>, TableCell<String>>() {

                          public void updateItem(String value, boolean empty) {
                                super.updateItem(value, empty);
                                final VBox vbox = new VBox(5);
                                Image image = new Image(getClass().getResourceAsStream("/images/delete.png"));
                                Button button = new Button("", new ImageView(image));
                                button.getStyleClass().add("deleteButton");
                                final TableCell<String> c = this;
                                button.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
                                      @Override
                                      public void handle(ActionEvent event) {
                                              TableRow tableRow = c.getTableRow();
                                              Item item= (Item) tableRow.getTableView().getItems().get(tableRow.getIndex());
                                              /* TODO : Delete this item from your data list and refresh the table */
                          vbox.getChildren().add(button);
                          setGraphic(vbox);
            cell.setAlignment(Pos.TOP_RIGHT);
            return cell;
    grid.addColumns(titleCol,actionCol);I hope this can help you. :)

  • Can I map a drum pad to Tap Pad in Delay Designer?

    Hello Everyone,
    I am trying to map a drum pad (M-Audio Trigger Finger) to the Tap Pad in Delay Designer using MainStage. For some reason MainStage will not let me map a Drum Pad screen control to the Tap Pad on the plugin. The screen control inspector won't show the Map Parameter button when a drum pad is selected but it will if a button is selected. The Trigger Finger is set up to send a note when the pad is hit. I would like to be able to tap out a rhythm on the drum pad and have that rhythm be recorded by Delay Designer - like what happens when you click out a rhythm on the tap pad with a mouse. It seems like this should work but I must be missing something. Can anyone help me out with this? Many Thanks in advance.

    Hi Koan22,
    In my experience, Drum Pad objects can only be mapped to either MIDI notes, or items in the action menu (located in the parameter mapping browser). This looks as if you would not be able to map a Drum Pad object to this parameter in Delay Designer.
    However, I believe I may have found a work-around.
    Simply add a button object to your layout, assign that object to the incoming trigger pad (MIDI Note Message), then map the button to the desired parameter. ( in this case Tap Record for Delay Designer).
    ** One more thing to note (Delay Designer specific): Don't forget to add a button for the "Last Tap" parameter to stop the tap clock.

  • How can I create a Table View in Cocoa Applescript?

    This is my last resort. I've searched for days and only found tutorials for iPhone and Cocoa, and I have no idea where to start. I'm looking for a way to create a Table View, and fill it with a few cells that call a handler when clicked. I've looked through the Xcode help, the Apple documentation, and countless tutorials, and I don't know what to do. I'm sure what I'm asking is possible, because usually what is possible in Cocoa is possible in Cocoa-Applescript.
    Perhaps something like:
    myTableView's addCell_OfType_WithHandler("This is a text cell", text, "myHandler:")
    I would appretiate any responses and brief descriptions on the matter.

    You did not answer my first question, which was not an idle question. I'll answer here, but if cross-chatter appears in a different thread I'll ignore it. You'll have to keep track of the mess yourself.

    At this point, I've dragged a Table View onto my window, in Xcode. I've connected it to the value "myTableView", and that's where I need help. I'm specifically trying to add cells into the table view.
    I'll assume that 'connected it to the value "myTableView"' means that you've control-dragged in XCode from the table view in Main Menu.xib to a property in your applescript app delegate called myTableView. If that's not the case, please correct me.
    I prefer to use an array controller for this, so please drag an array controller object into main menu.nib. once you've done that, do the following:
    open the applescript app delegate and add a new property called "tableController"
    select the table view in the object list (you may need to open some disclosure triangles to reach it). and add appropriate (an) column name(s). you can hide column titles later if you like, but having named columns makes life easier.
    select the array controller in the object list
    rename the array controller "table data"
    open the attributes inspector, and then add the column name(s) as key(s) in the object controller area
    open the bindings inspector, and where it says "controller content", open the disclosure arrow and bind the content to the App Delegate object on the model key path self.tableController
    select the table view in the object list again, then go down a level and select each column in turn
    for each column, open the bindings inspector, and where it says "value", open the disclosure arrow and bind the content to the Table Data object with the controller key arrangedObjects model key path being the name of the column (which is the name of the key in the controller as well)
    back in the applescript app delegate, add code like the following:
      -- create a list of records, where each record represents a row and the column name is the record key
      set myData to {{column_1_name:"hello"}}
      -- convert it to an NSArray and add it to the controller content. don't forget the *my* keyword, or it won't work
      set my tableController to NSArray's arrayWithArray:myData
      -- may or may not be needed
      myTableView's reloadData()
    That should populate the table with simple text. if you want something more complicated (like buttons or links) then create the more complicated elements separately and add them to the data.
