Table Centering
How to I center the table? I put in this line into the table area
<table style="margin: auto;"
However the table leans towards the right. If I can get the table to fall evenly below the navigation bar that would help.
The lines in the table header can those divider lines be selectively removed? Thanks

Text in Table Centers Horizontally
Whenever you try to insert text into a table of a web site it
centers horizontally. Why does this happen all the time? Does this
always happen?
It even happens when I start a brand new page and insert a
new single celled table.For a table to break across the page boundary it must be inline. Also, it will not break in the middle of a row/cell if it won't fit on one page. If your row is bigger than a page, you will have to manually break it into separate rows.

Table centered in dreamweaver, not in browser
I have the following code and css. In Dreamweaver, in design view, the table is centered, as expected, but in Safari and Firefox (the only two I've tried), the table is left aligned. I don't understand. Thanks for help
<table align = "center">
<tr><td id="firsttile"></td> <td id="secondtile"></td>
</tr>
<tr><td id="thirdtile"></td> <td id="fourthtile"></td>
</tr> </table>
with css for the 4 tiles are the same, here is for firsttile:
#firsttile {
transition: background 1.0s linear;
background-image: url("adultstrab.jpg");
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-size: 100% auto; /*or your image's width*/
height: auto; /*or your image's height*/
margin: 0;
padding: 0;Bascially what I have is a class .thumbnail and i put want to put 6 jpgs at the bottom of my screen each with the code following the css below. I'd like the jpgs to be centered, no matter what size screen. I can center them with css for a particular screen size, but I'd like a way for them to automatically center no matter what size screen. Any way to do this?
.thumbnail {
position: relative;
bottom:0px;
float: left;
border: 5px solid red;
margin: 1%;
padding: 1%;
width: 4%;
margin-bottom: 2px;
margin-top: 2px;
<div class="thumbnail"><a href="amb.jpg" target="_blank">
<img src="amb.jpg" width="100%" height = "100%"></a><br>
</div>
Then 5 more of the same, with different jpgs. -
DW8 & table centering problems
Hi All:
I am trialing dw8. I typically create a 760 x 420 image in
Fireworks with
rollovers, etc. and export to an html file. In dw, I will
turn that into a
template and center it. For some reason, it doesn't want to
center that
table. www.bobgreen.com/doozytv Fixes?
BGI just love these catchy FW div id's - <div
id="FWTableContainer1755465541"> - they are so user
friendly and easy to
remember.
Turn invalid code highlighting on in DW (VIEW | Code view
options >
Highlight Invalid Code, and take a look at the code view for
that page. See
the yellow? Your table is improperly nested.

Disappearing content in a table
Hello All,
I have been adding to a course syllabus week by week in
Dreamweaver 8. The syllabus is in a table, centered, with a
repeating background image. Recently the bottom part of the
syllabus, along with the table including it, fluctuates between
being visible and invisible when in 100% design view. If I run the
mouse over the edge of the table, it will sometimes reveal content,
sometimes not. If I scroll up, the content reveals again, only to
disappear if I scroll back down. (If I jump up to 150% view,
everything shows as it regularly should.) It also appears fine in
several different browsers, both when I preview and when I upload
to my server and view live. I have tried cleaning up Word HTML, yet
the problem remains. It is WAY weird, particularly since the code
is all there, intact, yet you can't see all the content at 100%
view. I have tried copying and pasting into a new table in a new
file, without the repeating image, yet the bottom content is still
invisible in 100% view.
Any ideas?
-confused in Honolulu, and much appreciative of any insight .
. .You are on a Mac, and your page is VERY long?
Try making your design view zoom setting 99% or 101% and see
what happens.
Better - break your very long page into several shorter ones.

Centering content with in a division
Hello,

Magin change moving from Design to Split views
For some reason, the margins of my HTML page change when I
move from split view to design view. The page is a single table,
centered with <center>, but when I change views, they whole
thing shifts over by 19 pixels, from being centered starting at 309
to being centered starting at 328.
What the heck!?? Anyone know what might be causing
this?Appearance of a vertical scrollbar?

More css dumbness on my part:
I have two DIVs on a page that both have a table inside it.
The intention is that both tables should center within their DIV.
In IE on the PC, the content table centers, but the footer table
aligns left. In Mozilla, it's the other way around!
In the case of the #content, if I remove the nav class from
that table, the table will center in Mozilla, but then my text has
no formating. I don't see what it is about my .nav styles that
would cause the table to align left (?)
In the case of the #footer, the table in that is set to
center and has 80% width, with an expanding cell in between the
logo and text. Here, I can get it to center in IE if I write: div
align="center" but then my type is centered, where I want it align
left.
I'm sure part of my problem is doing this stuff past my
bedtime.

Remove "float:left" from .twoColLiqLtHdr #header {}
For the width of the footer try this value: 1180px (not
1200px)

Hi,
Edit the background image to remove the white at the top or
adjust your
css like so......
body {
background-color: #FFF;
background-image: url(bk.jpg);
background-repeat: repeat-x;

Event/Calendar solution feedback! I need your expertise!
I'm not a programmer by any stretch, but I would love to know
what script this is, and if anyone knows of an extension or
solution that would integrate something similarly using dw. I'm
thinking it's asp, or php.
http://www.callutheran.edu/events
Notice the calendar in the upper right, with the content
displaying accordingly in the table centered. Each event has it's
own page, and also has the ability to reappear on the calendar on
different dates. Does anything like this exist, or does it have to
be programmed by hand? I already checked out wordpress' calendar
which is very close, but seemed involved.
Thanks guys!It's hard to tell, but check out www.easyphpcalendar.com.

Center components in af:page
I have a JSF page with the following layout:
<f:view>
<af:document>
<af:form>
<af:page>
<af:panelForm>
<af:inputText .../>
</af:panelForm>
<af:panelButtonBar>
<af:commandButton .../>
</af:panelButtonBar>
<af:table ...>
</af:table>
</af:page>
</af:form>
</af:document>
</f:view>
The problem is that the af:form centers its content, however the buttons within the af:panelButtonBar and the af:table below it are left-justified. How can I get the af:panelButtonBar the af:table centered?It's probably easier to move the panelForm over a bit. Try setting the labelWidth property to something small and see if that's acceptable.

I am building a website using dreamweaver CS3. I built the
home page with one table containing everything from the logo,
images, some writing, and most important the navigation or menu
bar. Now when I copy the table and paste it on another page, the
table comes up but the logo and pictures just show up as boxes with
X's on the top-left corner. And the menu bar is broken down into
writing and links. I can choose the file path for the pictures but
it takes too long and I can't get the menu bar to show up. I am a
new at dreamweaver can someone please helppLink to your page, please?

I have a adjust my web page to any screen resolution. In my
first page I have an INCLUDE a header.asp, this header have a table
with one row x one col, 100% of width, but when I put a
Imageplaceholder inside table, centered, the image takes it's own
original width. Nevertheless I vary this to some widths, 900
pixels, 1000 pixels, etc, and the WEB page adjust for particular
resolutions, but not all.
How can I make to adjust my images, my headers and footers,
to any screen resolution? There are some method in HTML to make in
DreamWeaver, or there are some particular properties in the table
or ImagePlaceHolder to make this ajust?.
Thanks a lot to anybody.KKJacks, that is the exact solution. I was having same problem with 13" MBA connected to Apple Cinema Display. Brightness controls from Mac external keyboard would not work with adjusting the cinema display. In my case I have the MBA in clamshell mode but I only connect the power and thunderbolt cables. I don't usually connect the USB cable.
I attached the USB cable from the cinema display and voila, brightness controls now work from the keyboard.
Well done, totally fixed it for me. It's not necessarily intuitive to think that the USB cable would need to be attached to enable brightness controls from a wireless keyboard, so I'm glad I came across this! -

What are the tables involved in hierarchy of cost centers?How to link them?
I want to generate the report for the GFIMs attached o the cost centers.
It should be similar to the transaction OKENN .
if a cost center is having an hiearchy , a cost group then will go on taking the parent node till the last node.
Which are the tables used in the transaction OKENN?
which are the tables which links the hierarchy of the cost centers.How is it linked.It is a simple process to trace the transaction (ST05/SE30) and discover the information for yourself...
