Table Data in 11g

Hi Friends,
I want to new features in 11g compared to 10.1.3 version.
I have a table with multiple rowselection. In 11g we cannot see checkboxes for the table instead the user can select it.
But if there are some 1000's of records and user has to select all of them..what is the solution..Meaning do we have "Select All" and "Select None" buttons for the tables in 11g?
Pls send me any useful info. on this.
Thanks,
User

I guess you can manipulate rowKeySet to achieve this. (rowKeySet.removeAll() and rowKeySet.addAll())
may be you can provide two buttons for "Select All" and "Select None" and invoke following methods
"Select None"
private void clearSelection() {
RichTable table = (RichTable)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().
getViewRoot().findComponent("Table_component_id");
RowKeySet rowKeySet = table.getSelectedRowKeys();
if(rowKeySet != null)
rowKeySet.removeAll();
"Select All"
private void selectAllRows() {
RichTable table = (RichTable)FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().
getViewRoot().findComponent("Table_component_id");
RowKeySet rowKeySet = table.getSelectedRowKeys();
if(rowKeySet != null)
rowKeySet.addAll();
hope this help

    Hello, in Enterprise Manger 11g, is there a grid or spreadsheet edit of a tables data? Not the "View Data", but something where the data can be edited?

    No, use SQL Developer instead. Enterprise Manager is a monitoring and administration tool.

  • To export and import oracle 11g table data only

    Hi Gurus,
    Just not sure of the procedure to follow in the export just the table data and then truncate the table do some changes(not table structure changes ) and then import the same table data in to the relevent table .
    Could some please help me in the setps involved in it .
    Thanks a Lot in advance

    If you can use Data Pump, here are your commands:
    expdp table_owner/password directory=<your_directory> dumpfile=table_name.dmp tables=table_name content=data_only
    impdp table_owner/password directory=<your_directory> dumpfile=table_name.dmp tables=table_name table_exists_action=append
    Data Pump requires version 10.1 or later.

  • How can we export table data to a CSV file??

    Hi,
    I have the following requirement. Initially business agreed upon, exporting the table data to Excel file. But now, they would like to export the table data to a CSV file, which is not being supported by af:exportCollectionActionListener component.
    Because, when i opened the exported CSV file, i can see the exported data sorrounded with HTML tags. Hence the issue.
    Does someone has any solution for this ... Like, how can we export the table data to csv format. And it should work similar to exporting the data to excel sheet.
    For youre reference here is the code which i have used to export the table data..
    ><f:facet name="menus">
    ><af:menu text="Menu" id="m1">
    ><af:commandMenuItem text="Print" id="cmi1">
    ><af:exportCollectionActionListener exportedId="t1"
    >title="CommunicationDistributionList"
    >filename="CommunicationDistributionList"
    >type="excelHTML"/> ---- I tried with removing value for this attribute. With no value, it did not worked at all.
    ></af:commandMenuItem>
    ></af:menu>
    ></f:facet>

    Hi Alex,
    I have already visited that POST and it works only in 10g. Not in 11g.
    I got the solution for this. The solution is :
    Use the following code in jsff
    ==================
    <af:commandButton text="Export Data" id="ctb1">><af:fileDownloadActionListener contentType="text/csv; charset=utf-8"
    >filename="test.csv"
    >method="#{pageFlowScope.pageFlowScopeDemoAppMB.test}"/>
    ></af:commandButton>
    OR
    <af:commandButton text="Export Data" id="ctb1">><af:fileDownloadActionListener contentType="application/vnd.ms-excel; charset=utf-8"
    >filename="test.csv"
    >method="#{pageFlowScope.pageFlowScopeDemoAppMB.test}"/>
    ></af:commandButton>
    And place this code in ManagedBean
    ======================
    > public void test(FacesContext facesContext, OutputStream outputStream) throws IOException {
    > DCBindingContainer dcBindings = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    >DCIteratorBinding itrBinding = (DCIteratorBinding)dcBindings.get("fetchDataIterator");
    >tableRows = itrBinding.getAllRowsInRange();
    preparaing column headers
    >PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter(outputStream);
    >out.print(" ID");
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print("Name");
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print("Designation");
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print("Salary");
    >out.println();
    preparing column data
    > for(Row row : tableRows){
    >DCDataRow dataRow = (DCDataRow)row;
    > DataLoaderDTO dto = (DataLoaderDTO)dataRow.getDataProvider();
    >out.print(dto.getId());
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print(dto.getName());
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print(dto.getDesgntn());
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print(dto.getSalary());
    >out.println();
    >}
    >out.flush();
    >out.close();
    > }
    And do the following settings(*OPTIONAL*) for your browser - Only in case, if the file is being blocked by IE

  • Viewing Tables/data from an old tablespace

    I'm using a database Oracle 11g.
    I have a DBF file of an old tablespace from a different database that I want to connect to the existing database.
    I've created a tablespace with REUSE caluse, and it was created successfully
    SQL> create tablespace TEST datafile 'C:\DATA.DBF' reuse;
    How can I view the tables/data within that tablespace?
    Was that the right approach ?
    Or should I attach that tablespace in a different way ?
    Thanks in advance for your answers,
    Roni

    Hi JGarry,
    I do not agree to your statement
    "In addition to what the others said, understand that the metadata that describes what is in the tablespace is in the data dictionary in the system tablespace.  If you have the system tablespace also, you may be able to construct a database that you can transport your data tablespace from. "
    System table space will contains the metadata information about the table space, But it will not keep information about the segments of table space. So user will not be able to see the contents of table space.
    Yes your point regarding proper backup and export is valid but can you elaborate more how to data recovery will the done in this user scenario.
    Any ideas are welcome....
    cheers

  • Receiving OCI/ORA-27163 when querying XML data in 11g.

    When querying a table with a column stored in XML format, we get this error for large XML values. This works in Oracle 10g but this error happens when the same data is queried in an 11.2.0.3 instance. I have had a support request open with Oracle for about a month and so far it has not made any progress. What we've seen are the following:
    1. The xml data itself is good.
    2. The good xml data when queried with a wholly 10g client/server environment, works.
    3. The same good xml data when inserted into a table in an 11g instance through a stored package run from the 11g instance (server to server) gets the 27163 error.
    4. The same xml data when queried in a 10g instance from an 11g client fails with the 27163 error.
    5. If we disable the 11g XML parser by setting an internal event (alter session set events='31156 trace name context forever, level 0x400';), then run the same code that was run in item 3 above, it does not get the 27163 error. However, the xml loaded to the 11g instance can then only be queried without getting the 27163 error if we use an older 10g client. An 11g client consistently gets the error.
    The server versions are 11.2.0.3 (upgraded from 10.2.0.4). The SQL*Net client versions that we have tested on are 11.2.0.2 and 11.2.0.3 (both produce the 27163 error).
    With considerable trial and error, we found that it is some combination of the file size and format that causes the error. Copied below is the smallest sample data of a failing XML that will produce this erro (about 8K). Remove any single character even in an a comment and the file parses successfully – but it’s not the file size alone as the original 800+KB file where we first dicovered this problem will process if the period in the attribute: @value=”${item.id}” is removed.
    We are at our wit's end, and with an 11g migration project looming, any ideas anyone can suggest would be very helpful.
    Thanks,
    Joe
    Here is a test case to play around with. Sorry I don't have a way to upload a zip file for this, but you can cut & paste from the post:
    1. CREATE TABLE my_xml_test
    (record_id NUMBER(4,0),
    xml SYS.XMLTYPE,
    comments VARCHAR2(200))
    ALTER TABLE my_xml_test
    ADD CONSTRAINT my_xml_test_pk PRIMARY KEY (record_id)
    USING INDEX
    2. mkdir SampleData
    3. cd into SampleData, copy the XML I will post in the first reply to this message into a new text document called xml_items_removed.xml.
    4. cd .. and create a file called 20120112_11g_bad_xml_issue.txt with this in it:
    1, .\SampleData\xml_items_removed.xml,"Fails: OriginalXML w/ all instances of <Item> removed (count 600) -- reduces file size to ca. 55KB but still fails (Saved by XMLSpy)"
    5. Next create your SQL*Loader control file (call it my_xml_test.ctl):
    LOAD DATA
    APPEND INTO TABLE my_xml_test
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY "," OPTIONALLY ENCLOSED BY '"'
    TRAILING NULLCOLS
    record_id,
    ext_fname FILLER CHAR(200),
    xml LOBFILE(ext_fname) TERMINATED BY EOF,
    comments
    6. sqlldr <username>/<password>@<database> control=my_xml_test.ctl data=20120112_11g_bad_xml_issue.txt log=20120112_11g_bad_xml_issue.log bad=20120112_11g_bad_xml_issue.bad
    7. Once the data is loaded, query my_xml_test table that you created in step 1. You should get the 27163 error:
    SELECT a.record_id,
    comments,
    a.XML,
    length(a.XML.GetClobVal()) clob_length
    FROM my_xml_test a

  • Is it possible to view/get the table data from a dump file

    I have dmp files generated using expdp on oracle 11g..
    expdp_schemas_18MAY2013_1.dmp
    expdp_schemas_18MAY2013_2.dmp
    expdp_schemas_18MAY2013_3.dmp
    Can I use a parameter file given below to get the table data in to the sql file or impdp the only option to load the table data in to database.
    vi test1.par
    USERID="/ as sysdba"
    DIRECTORY=DATA
    dumpfile=expdp_schemas_18MAY2013%S.dmp
    SCHEMAS=USER1,USER2
    LOGFILE=user_dump_data.log
    SQLFILE=user_dump_data.sql
    and impdp parfile=test1.par.

    Hi,
    To explain more about my situation.
    Target database has the dump files, where as the source database (cloud) doesn't have access to the target database.
    However, I can request the target DB DBA team to run the par files and provide me the output like a SQL file which I can take and run it in my source database.
    I got the metadata the same way, but is there any way I could get the data from the dump files on the target DB without actually accessing it? My question might sound weird, but please let me know.
    <
    1. export from the source into a dumpfile. You can do this on the source database and then copy the file over to your local database or you can do this from a local database if you have a database link defined on the local database that points to the source database.  In the second case, your dumpfile will be created on your local database.

    How can i access the dump using the database link?

  • Dynamically Update External Table Data

    I loaded a data table from an external csv file. But the csv file is an output from a program that appends a new line to the csv file every couple days.
    I made a Report with the loaded data, but in a couple days when a few new lines of data appear in the csv file, I want my report to update as well.
    Is there a way to create a "Refresh Button" in my application that will load the data from the csv when pressed?
    I have oracle database 11g express with APEX 4.1.1

    Hi,
    what you describe could certainly be achieved, but it would have to be designed and built, it is not going to be provided "out of the box". I would probably go with an external table based on your file and a process that you would build would be callable from the button and this would do some sort of a merge of the external table data into your database table. Apart from being callable on demand, the process could also be made to be a scheduled process that loads the data on a regular basis, say once a day or once an hour, depending on your requirements. To use an external table it is assumed that the file will be available on the database server. If not and the file is available on only a client machine, then doing an on demand load process would still be possible, but a little more difficult.

  • Updating pie graph  with the pivot table data.

    Hi:
    I have two components, the first is a pivot table and second
    of them is the pie graph, the two components were created in JDeveloper 11g
    on the same page through the same view object, this view object was created through
    a query.
    I need to update the pie graph through the pivot table data.
    ie, according to the data containing on the pivot table, to update the pie graph.

    Hi,
    BPM can be used to validate and update tables.  You can have a transformation step in BPM to validate, and either a JDBC or RFC adapter to update XI table...depending on if the table is an ABAP table or table create outside of ABAP using the vendor's dba tools.
    As for sending file based on counter or timestamp in the name, you can develop a simple adapter user-module using java which can retrieve the file name(s) being processed.  If the name satisfy the rules you have, then proceed, or else terminate the processing in the adapter.

  • How to load Matrix report data into basic table data using ODI

    Hi,
    How to load Matrix report data into basic table data using oracle Data Integrator ?
    Requirement Description:
    Following is the matrix report data:
    JOB                       DEPT10                DEPT20
    ANALYST                                           6000
    CLERK                   1300                     1900 Need to convert it into below format:
    JOB                             Dept                        Salary
    ANALYST                  DEPT10
    ANALYST                  DEPT20                     6000
    CLERK                       DEPT10                    1300
    CLERK                       DEPT20                    1900
        Thanks for your help in advance. Let me know if any further explanation is required.

    Your list seems to be a little restrictive, you can do a lot more with ODI procedures.
    If you create new procedure, and add a step. In the 'command on source' tab set you technology and schema as per your source database. Use the unpivot functionality as described in the link, please, rather than using 'SELECT *' use the appropriate column names and alias them for eg:
    SELECT job as job,
    deptsal as deptsal,
    saldesc as saledesc
    FROM pivoted_data
    UNPIVOT (
    deptsal --<-- unpivot_clause
    FOR saldesc --<-- unpivot_for_clause
    IN (d10_sal, d20_sal, d30_sal, d40_sal) --<-- unpivot_in_clause
    Then in your 'command on target' tab set the technology and schema to your target db, then put your INSERT statement for eg:
    INSERT INTO job_sales
    (job,
    deptsal,
    saledesc
    VALUES
    :job,
    :deptsal,
    :saledesc
    Therefore you are using bind variables from source to load data into target.
    Obviously if the source and target table are in the same database, then you can have it all in one statement in the 'command on target' as
    INSERT INTO job_sales
    (job,
    deptsal,
    saledesc
    SELECT job as job,
    deptsal as deptsal,
    saldesc as saledesc
    FROM pivoted_data
    UNPIVOT (
    deptsal --<-- unpivot_clause
    FOR saldesc --<-- unpivot_for_clause
    IN (d10_sal, d20_sal, d30_sal, d40_sal) --<-- unpivot_in_clause
    also set the log counter as 'Insert' on the tab where your INSERT statement is, so you know how many rows you insert into the table.
    Hope this helps.
    BUT remember that this feature only came out in Oracle 11g.

  • Export table data to Pdf file

    Hi all,
    I have a .jspx page wich contains a table and a button with an exportCollectionActionListener to export the table data to an excell file.
    Now i want to do the same but to a pdf file.
    Is that posible, and if so how can I do that?
    If it isn't posible is there any way to do that.
    Thanks all,
    Rowan

    Hi!
    Yes, the first step is to learn iReport. Then, investigate Jasper Forums where you will find lot of code and hints.
    To produce a report you have to:
    1. Create report definition and compile it in report files used by Jasper API later on (this you learn on Jasper forums)
    2. Create java code in your project to generate report (based on datasource in your app) - this is just java code which doesnt have anything special to ADF/JDev - learn this also on Jasper forums
    3. Decide which mechanism you will use to downstream report output (whichever render you select when generate report - PDF, HTML, Excle, RTF...) - there are two options:
    a. Use standard JSP Servlet, where you just have to generate report and downstream it into servlet's output stream
    b. more ADF 11g way - using af:fileDownloadActionListener with backingbean to downstream a generated report content
    That's it. You have to design your own strategy for supplying report query parameters (through Http Request params or any other way dependent on mechanism you decide to use).
    Try Googling for Jdeveloper Jasper and you will find several blogs/forums on this topic (try JDeveloper and Jasper.. HTML Report without information The servlet technique is same as in 10g and for ADF 11g way you have to manage yourself.

  • ADF table data export to Excel

    I want to export table data into an excel file. I used following code;
    <af:exportCollectionActionListener type="excelHTML" exportedId="t1"
    filename="export.xls"
    title="ADF Faces Export"/>
    This works fine, But I have more than 65k lines, which is not supported with xls files. How can I generate xlsx format with ADF ?
    JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 is used in my project and can not change this. Any options pls?
    Thanks

    chk this
    File format of exportCollectionActionListener ADF 11g
    The fix has to be done on Excel and instructions are given below:
    1- Open your Registry (Start -> Run -> regedit.exe)
    2- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\OFFICE\12.0\EXCEL\SECURITY
    3- Right click in the right window and choose New -> DWORD
    4- Type “ExtensionHardening” as the name (without the quotes)
    5- Verify that the data has the value “0″
    I tested the above in my home PC with Excel 2007 and fix worked.
    There is more aesthetic way to accomplish the fix detailed in (refer group policy section):

      0001000489;200;EUR;
      0001000450;300;EUR;
    </Data>
    I try with a sample query but the sistem write only the last record in XML file:
    <Data>
      0001000450;300;EUR;
    </Data>
    Can everyone help me?
    Thank in advance.
    Simone

    Hello
    That is a very simple (also odd) XML document structure, and as such doesn't require use of the XML target.  It can be easily acheived by writing a normal file with a header and footer, which is acheived using a row_generation and a query to generate the hard coded open and close tags.
