Please let me know the table for finding the records a requests contains in a Cube/ODS?

Hi Venkat,
The function module BAPI_CUBE_GETDETAIL provides you the detials of infocube (including dimension, characteristics, keyfigures etc).
Moreoverthis FM is RFC enabled; so you can call this FM from DEV and pass RFC connection of PROD to get detials of the cube in prod. This compare the structures between DEV and PROD.
Similarly you can use BAPI_ODSO_GETDETAIL from DSO structure comparision across the system landscape.

Table that has requests currently IN cube?

Hello,
I am trying to find a way using ABAP to get a list of all requests currently in an InfoCube. I am not looking for all the requests ever in the cube as some tables have, JUST the requests currently available under "Manage" on the cube. Does anyone know how to do this?
All I've been finding is tables with ALL requests that have ever been on the cube, not just current reportable requests on the cube. Anyone know how to do this?

Hi Frined,
as the table RSICCONT showing all the requests in the cube, which you have been selected, you can select the timestap colum > by filtering in Assending order > in this way you can findout the last load to that particular data target as well as the request .
i am assuming this is as a alternative to findout the latest request from table.

Tables holding Data related to selection conditions of each loadin cube,ODS

Hello Experts,
Hope you are all are doing Good!.
I am looking for a way to check the selection conditions of each load in cube & ods through an ABAP program.
For Eg: we load cubes with selection conditions with (created on date -1 ) and i want to check whether there are all loads for all days....can we do this with abap code right...
Can u pls help with the related tables i can look for this data...

Can any one explain how the Requests deletion in an ODS & Cube works & differs?

It works in the normal way as you delete a request but following are the differences between them
1) If you try to delete a request from the ODS, all the requests which are loaded after this request also get deleted, and in the cube its not.
2) You cannot delete a request from the ODS once its change log has been deleted, similary you cannot delete a request from the cube that has been compressed.
3) you can delete overlapping requests from a Cube. but in ODS its not possible.

Deleting a request from a cube

I deleted few(old) requests from a cube in quality server. They got deleted, after some time i checked back. Those request are appeared in the request tab with a tick mark under compression status in InfoCube. I am confused !!!
Can any you clear my doubt...

is it the same ID-Pavan used by you above??anyways...
I guess we are dealing here with two scenarios..
1)If it was Infocube than the solution above i suggested holds true
2)Ifs its ODS ,the physical requests are still there because you deleted the CHANGE LOG data for those requests...so now there is no WAY you can delete those request PHYSICALLY !!!
Please check to verify/confirm the same..
the only way to get rid of those contents is through the SELECTIVE DELETE for those request ..
However;even after selective delete those request would appear physically in the manage TAB of the ODS ..but if you go to the ACTIVE table content for that ODS ,the data wont be there ,its deleted.so you can reconcile the reports now.

Hi Aadil,
Use Table RSREQICODS.
In TABNAME: put your Cube or ODS name or Infoobject(as Infoprovider) and you will get all the request loaded.
And RNSIDLAST while give you the request id.
You can make a count of that simple ABAP code.
Select count( RNSIDLAST ) from RSREQICODS where TABNAME = 'your infoprovider'.

Vishal,
if you want delete the request from your cube, if the cube is not compressed, in manage select your request and delete it.
if you want delete the request from your ODS you must delete all the requests loaded after your request.
If it's not possible you can try to see your request of activation from table RSREQICODS in ods change log and if aren't record with recordmode x (you have loaded only new data) you can download all the key records and "delete selective" your ODS and with a program delete the change log for your request.

Hi,
You cannot delete the request as its compressed as all the data would have been moved to E table ..
If you have the double records you may use the selective deletion .

Hi Jyothi,
This error usually comes because of presence of zombie ./ bad request. I would suggest you to check few of the tables and search for your request "REQU_DBCFVY9N1691OYQYNCMUGCSGM" in them if you are able to find it then delete that entry from there, there after you should not face error. Check if the request mentioned above is present in the below mentioned tables? If yes delete them from there.
RSREQICODS, RSTSODS, , RSICCONT, RSODSACTREQ.
Also check if the notes mentioned in the below thread are applicable in your case?

I want to find out which cube/ods has the start routine/update rules written in it. Is there a table or Tcode to find out the code instead of opening each cube/ods to find out whether there is code in it or not.

if couldnt find out, you can use ST05 'sql trace', open 2 session, one for create start routine, and one for ST05, activate with option 'sql trace', then create start routine and 'deactivate trace' and 'display trace', and check out the tables list

Unable to delete a request from a Cube which is loaded by Open hub to flat

Hi,
We have one Cube from which we are transferring data to a flat file by open hub.
the DTP for the OPEN HUB is delta DTP.
Now when i am trying to delete a request from Cube its not allowing me.
Its giving error as request is already updated to the target so delete the request from target first.
I tried deleting the open hub request entry from RSBKREQUEST table.
but still its not deleting the request from the Cube.
Can you please help me in solving this problem.

I think request is having datamart, which is not allowing it to delete.
You can try to reset (delete) the datamart by clicking on it in cube request and then try to delete.
Or if it does not work, you can delete it from RSICCONT table, which will delete the request from cube also.

Deleting request options in Cube?

Hi,
The Cube is Not Compressed where Aggregate Rollup and Compression of Aggregate rollup are available.
Now, I need to delete only one request from the Cube.
I have found two options
1) Delete this request directly from Cube (Via Manage option of RSA1)
2) Delete this request from Selective Delete option.
I need to know which is the best option in order to avoid further maintanace of already available Aggregate Rollup and its Compression. For which option Aggregate Maintanace is needed ?

Hi......
You are saying that roll up and compression is not done........then you can easily make the QM status red........and delete the request.......
In any case if roll up is done...then at first you have to deactivate the aggregate........as already said ..........then you can only delete the request..................and if compression is done.............not possible to delete any more..........because after compression request number dos'nt exist any more....
Besides deleting entire requests, you also have the option of deleting data according to business-orientated aspects from the fact table. For example, you can delete the data for a cost center or of a customer even if these are spread over several requests.
Remember that if you delete data selectively from an InfoCube, the aggregate belonging to this InfoCube is automatically deleted...........
For you the best option is to delete the request from the target......

Unable to Compress the request of a Cube

Hi All,
I was trying to compress the cube data,At one request I got stuck. When ever I try to compress that request manually, but it is unable to compress the request and sends the following job logs
Job started
Step 001 started (program RSCOMP1, variant &0000000000190, user ID XXXXXX0006)
Performing check and potential update for status control table
No requests needing to be aggregated have been found in InfoCube 0XX_X01
Compression not necessary; no requests found for compressing
Compression not necessary; no requests found for compressing

After further analysis, I observed the request which I am compressing , has an selective deletion.Since its is 2year old data I would like to compress the data,please suggest is it possible to compress,If the request has selective deletion.

Hi Abdul,
Check that, if the cube that is being compressed feeds the data to a different InfoProvider, if yes then complete that laod first and then do the compression. this might be the reason sometimes. if the cube is not feeding anything currently try compressing the request again.
In some cases ,when the compression is manually performed (in the tab collapse of the cube) no compression would be done. In those cases you can try creating a process chain with only the compression step. This often solves the problem.
If both the above process don't solve your problem,
Try the SAP note :407230 (such problems occure after installing SP15.)

ABAP to Delete and Reinsert/Reconstruct Requests in a Cube

I need to write an ABAP that will selectively delete requests from a cube and then reinsert them. The purpose of this exercise is to execute a modified update rule between the DSO and the Cube.
I found FM RSSM_DELETE_REQUEST which will delete a request.
However I need the following:
1) A table that will provide the individual request numbers that I want to delete
2) A FM that will Reconstruct those requests. (There is no "RSSM_RECONSTRUCT_REQUEST) that I can find
As for #1 above, supposedly table RSREQDONE is supposed to have all the requests. However I can't find any rows in this table that provide me the request numbers in the Cube I am deleting them from.

Are you talking about selective delete and reload?
because if you need to load the data with a new/modified update rule, then i dont know if deleting the request and reinserting or reconstructing (- assuming thats what you mean) the requests will reflect or calculate the values differently based on the new update rule.
However you could do a selective delete and reload.
Selectively delete the data for whatever period/selection you require and reload it from the DSO.
Wont this solve your problem
