Table Generator JSp

Hi ALL
I have a question about Table Generator JSP.
How to work with with Table Generator JSP. I have to create one table generator JSP. With the help of this jsp i have to show data on other JSPs.
Every Help Will Be Appreciated !

Not an easy for sure.
Hints:
1. Write a custom tag to generate table. Include this tag in any JSP page of your application.
2. A table is two dimensional view having multiple rows and columns.
3. You can use a list of value objects to render data in your table.
4. You can take list (probably a java.util.List) name column names and data source for each column (perhaps method name of your value object) as input to the tag.
5. In your tag get the list object from session/pageContext. Then iterate through this list and using java reflection obtain column values & render rows.
You can replace step 3, 4 and 5 by:
Take two dimensional array of objects (like javax.swing.JTable) as input to the tag to render table data. Also, take a String array to render table header.
Whatever approach you follow, pass object names as tag attribute and make original object available as attribute in session or page scope.

Generating Jsp Page On Runtime

I have a problem regarding generating jsp page on the run time.according to the prefrence the user selects i have to generate a jsp page.suppose 25 feilds are there to be displayed for User A then these 25 feild will be equally divide in two column one column will contain 13 row and one colunm will have 12 rows.these values come from the database and according to that value i have to make the rows and column in the jsp page.the value can be different for different users.can anyone please let me know how this is done.if there is an code example please let me know.

you don't need to generate the JSP, but simply generate the HTML according to the user settings (I don't know if this was clear or not, so I have made it explicit)
Obviusly how to achieve this could be quite complex, but you can try to generate html table according to user preferences (#columns, #rows or try to find out these infos from #total elements)

Yes i did try the same ..
BEGIN

When i checked the mtest table it shos me the row inserted...
inside foolter .. Now this means everything did get execute properly
But still the vallue of off_city is null or emtpy...
i check the filed and still its empty..
while mtest had those records..seems like some process is cleaining the values...but cant see such process...
a bit confused..here..I tried on Load after footer...
tried chaning the squence number of process ..but still it doesnt help
some how the session variables gets changed...and it is changed to empty

How to look at sid tables generated for an ods?

There is atrns code : listschema which enables to have a look of the sid tables generated for infocubes.
Is there any trsn code where we can see the list of sid tables generated for ods. if not let me know the procedure how to look at the sid tables generated for ods.

Insert data into table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0)

I want to insert data into a database table from JSP page using Entity Beans(EJB 3.0).
1. I have a table 'FRIENDS', (in Oracle 10g database).
2. It has two columns, 'NAME' and 'CITY'. Both have datatype strings(varchar2).
3. Now from a JSP page, having two textfields, 'NAME' and 'CITY', I want to insert data into table 'FRIENDS'.
4. In between JSP and database is a Entity Bean(EJB 3.0) and a stateless session bean.
5. I am using JDev as editor.
Please provide me code ASAP or link with similar example.

I am also trying that scenario. So u can
Post the jsp form data to a Servlet which will act as a Controller.
In the servlet invoke the business method.

Deleting a row from a table using jsp

Given a table in a jsp, can an user click on a row of that table and retrieve the information so that the program can delete a record from a database table?
most of the tables that I have seen are static, the user cannot interact with them(specially when the user wants to delete several records from a database table).
Can anyone suggests a good book or way of deleting a row from table using jsp.

eg use a column in the table that has a radio button or check box,
on submit, get all the rows that are checked, using the row as an index into your db store, get the key and use the key to issue the sql delete command.

Now in the JSP page get the number of entries in the table and try to get row by row from the bean class using the row number.

Creating and updating table in JSP Through ADD and SAVE button

how do I create a table in JSP which has certain number of columns and rows. I have a button called "ADD", which when clicked should add the data I entered. How do I update and save the same?, if there are buttons called "SAVE" and "DELETE".

Do u want to add it to the database or just in the JSP Cache???

Sir i'm trying to set minimum delay interval of timer control to 1millisecond(0.001s),as i set ,timer don't cares of the interval that is set by me it responds only to the default minimum time interval which is i think 10milliseconds(i'am using windows xp service pack3 version 2002).

Hello sir!
Sir i'm using daq6251.But Sir before implimenting it to my final application now i'm just trying to achieve 1millisecond time interval for timer in a vary simple programe i mean at this time no hardware (daq device) is involved i,m just trying to achieve minimum time interval of 1millisecond.
Sir i read form "help" of labwindows how this time interval can be set,i'm trying for,as described in help notes but i could'nt.I'm attaching a screen shot sir for you it may helpful for you to explain me.
And sir also waiting for your kind reply regarding word report generation.

How to display Column Names of a Database Table in JSP

Dear All,
I want to display all the attribute names(column names) of a database table on JSP.
[ ex: mytable contains : ( EmpId,EmpName,Dept ). This should be display as EmpId--text box
EmpName--text box
Dept----textbox
please note , i don't want to display values,but only column names

Yeah make use of methods like
ResultSet DatabaseMetaData.getColumns(String catalog, String schemaPattern, String tableName, String columnNamePattern)
else use
String ResultMetaData.getColumnName(int column_index)
search google i'm sure u wud get thousands of example on it... :)

Urgently Need Code for Copy & Paste from Html Table in JSP to Excel file

I am creating a html table in JSP file .
I need code for 'Cut,Copy,Paste' functions ie. if someone wants to copy data from my table to excel file or from excel file to html table he shud be able to do that.
Can someone give me code for 'Cut,Copy and Paste' i.e. some javascript functions which can do cut, copy and paste which i can put in my jsp file

How to edit generated JSPs

Hi:
I have created the BC4J components and have generated the JSPs.
Questions:
1. How can I edit the generated JSP to change the look and feel of UI. Where is it stored. Is it HTML or it is dynamically generated?. For example I want to hide
Primary Key form fields from user view.
2. How do I add List of Values (LOV) functionality to a field in the JSP screen.

Hi.
The wizard generates a JSP with a very basic layout. You can customize the fields that appear on screen by calling methods on the bean that is used (i.e. RowSetBrowser, ViewCurrentRecord).
For the first question, there usually is a method called setDisplayAttributes().
regarding the second question, the EditCurrentRecord bean has some method to define the kind of control that is used to display the field (they start with use..., ie useLovField or something like that).
You should take a look at the documentation for the webbean classes.

Is there a api or something using which we can make jdev to generate jsp the way we want,
