Table is not centering in Firefox/Mozilla

Hi,
I am using theme 9 for a simple report. I am using the "Standard, alternating row colors" as the report template. I have added align=center in the <table> and <td> tags of "Before Rows" of this template to center the report table. This works for IE but not for Firefox and Mozilla.
I think I am not setting the alignment at the correct place. Where should I do this. Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Raje.

try keeping what you have, but also adding style='margin:0 auto;' in only the <table> tag. This should cause the table to be centered in Firefox.
Good luck,
-Tim

  • Navigation bar not Centering in Firefox

    Hello all,
    I have a navigation bar that is not centering in all Mozilla-based browsers. When using Internet, Safari, Chrome, Opera etc,,the drop down navigation bar is centred, however browsers such as Firefox show it floated completely to the left.
    This has been an issue for five months. It has been brought to my attention again by my boss. I have tried things like margin-left (and right): atuo; for most of the div blocks and what not. Im still not getting any luck =S
    I assume this problem resolution lies within the CSS files, whether it be the template css, or the spry menu bar horizontal css.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have pasted the css for the dropdown, and the css for the template page.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    You have made too many changes to the original stylesheet for me to go through it all.
    Please have a look at my remarks here.
    I hope this helps.

  • Npapi or webkit plugin are not working in firefox

    I have a Webkit plugin and NPAPI plugin. Both work fine in Safari but just would not work in Firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3) .
    about:plugins shows it as installed but when I try to access it from html page none of the entry points in a code are being called.(None of trace statement are being hit)
    I think Firefox has problem loading those plugins.
    I have similar NPAPI plugin working fine in Windows environment on all browsers, but MAC is giving me this problem.
    Does anyone has any ideas of what could be the problem?
    I even took a BASICPLUGIN sample for MAC and it has the same problem. Anyb

    I solved my problem after not getting any responses.....
    Turns out that some of my xcode compilation switches had to be changed, send me your minimal code that I can compile and i will help you finding it......My NSAPI plugin works just great with all mac browsers....in fact it is the same code excatly as i have for windows, just had to rename some files from .cpp to .m so that I could yuse some cocoa objects....

    Yahoo mail tool bar (delete,more,spam,etc) not working in firefox.Works in Explorer.Web search points to Mozilla update problem."Plug-ins" up to date. Solutions?
    I've used firefox for years now with out problems. Now that help is needed, Could you make this any more frustrating? I thought I was asking Mozilla help and I'm sent to "users". I went there 1st! there are similar questions but no answers. I've lost time and data. Is there any REAL PEOPLE to help with firefox problems?

    I'm a real person, thanks.
    If you mean, does Mozilla have paid staff you could phone or email, the answer is "No."
    Is the problem with a feature of the Yahoo! mail web page itself, or the Yahoo! toolbar?
    General advice:
    When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
    (1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
    Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
    Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
    "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
    If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
    (2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * click the padlock or globe icon in the address bar > More Information > "View Cookies"
    In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
    Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
    ''If Firefox is not running:'' Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.
    ''If Firefox is running:'' You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    and OK the restart.
    ''Both scenarios:'' A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Refresh).
    Any difference in how Yahoo! works?

    Hi All,
    latest version of SMP 1.6.328 works fine in Chrome, Safari & Explorer however in Firefox the player does not appear.
    I am re-skinning the player via xml and using RTMP dynamic video stream source via f4m file.
    All browsers are upto date and all have the latest Flashplayer versions installed.
    If I fall back to SMP version 1.6.274 everything works fine!
    Another thing I found was that the advertisment demo did not work when using Flashplayer 11 although again, it does  when using an older version.
    Any ideas?

  • Website not centred in firefox ?

    just downloaded firefox and everything worked fine in
    internet explorer, but in firefox the website is not centred to the
    page ? www.mob-jukeboxes.com

    Hello,
    The outermost table is 100% wide, so align="center" won't
    change anything
    there.
    It's the nested table with the width of 684 that you want to
    align="center".
    Please don't click on the outer table and remove all widths,
    or you'll be
    spending time re-aligning all of your nested tables and all
    your nicely
    spaced td's.
    Take care,

  • Table won't center in Firefox

    This is a new post in regards to a previous problem. I have
    made some changes, but have been unable to find a complete solution
    yet. Maybe someone can help.
    I originally created a template using tables, and have since
    redesigned it using CSS for most of my layout (in attempts to speed
    up the loading time.) My main problem is in how Firefox (I haven't
    checked this page with a Mac yet either) reads the page. It tries
    to put the content left aligned (this was not reflected in the
    document after I made my first post about this issue becasue I
    tried to make some adjustments unsuccessfully). Here's the main
    issue:
    I have tried to place a table to hold the editable region of
    my template in the <div> named #maincontent. Here's what
    #maincontent looks like:
    #maincontent {
    background-image:
    url(images/background/adoption-bkgd-mid-3.gif);
    background-repeat: repeat-y;
    background-position: center;
    position: absolute;
    width: 100%;
    top: 305px;
    text-align: center;
    visibility: visible;
    I want this table to appear centered in all browsers. How can
    I acheive that?
    If you look at the site in IE7 everything looks fine, but in
    Firefox the table is left aligned (now that it has been changed
    back).
    Here's the site:

    Thanks again,

    Don't you also need to add a CSS width? Seems like I always
    need to do
    that....

  • Flash drag and drop not working on Firefox for android browser

    Drag and drop functionality is not working using Firefox Browser for Android on tablet. We tested with flash action script 2.0 & 3.0 content, both have same issue. Specs of the tab and OS are as follows.
    Android - Kitkat 4.4.2
    Tab models - Lenovo A7600H and Samsung Tab4 T531
    Please refer to a previous case raised on the same issue here at this link (Case 1029615) - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1029615
    Additionally, we observed that the object on which Drag and Drop event was triggered, is moving little bit when we double tap.
    Does Firefox provide any libraries to support Drag and Drop functionality on Flash? We are using Geekoview api to execute flash content in our app. Will the same support be provided in Geekoview as well?
    Are there other folks facing the same issue? Is there a solution or workaround to get this feature running?

    Flash on Android is no longer supported by Adobe. While Firefox does support basic functionality we mainly focus on legacy video applications. You may run into issues with Flash and Geckoview. I doubt we have any resources to support that configuration.

  • Windows media player plugin is not working in firefox 4.if any one know what to do pls reply me

    MY FRIEND SUGGESTED THIS TO ME
    I HAVE TRIED THIS
    BUT ITS WASTE
    I CANT EVEN FIND ANYTHING AS
    WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER
    I have had the same problem since I installed Firefox 4.0.
    Thank you for letting us know that The RealPlayer plugin conflict, was the source of this problem.
    Another way to fix this (for good) is doing the following:
    1) Click on "Tools">Options"
    2) Click on the "Applications" tab
    3) Search in the "Content Type" column, all the applications that start with the words "Windows Media." Click on the content that is listed to the right of each application's name and choose "Use Windows Media Player (default)."
    By doing this, Firefox will avoid using the Windows Media Player plugin and will open the corresponding application directly with Windows Media Player.
    I just did this and is working perfectly. Try it and let me know how it works for you.

    I just saw this posted to the mozilla.support.firefox newsgroup in the topic,<br>
    [http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.support.firefox/browse_thread/thread/f381fb349c4d109d/69bef0011240e600?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8 Windows Media Player will not install in Firefox 4] <br>
    ''Just for the record, the extension that conflicted with Windows Media Player is named: Real Player Browser Record Plug-In 14.0.2''
    <br>..... so try [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] to see if a Firefox extension is conflicting with the WMP Firefox plugin.

  • GWT 2+ is not working on Firefox 5, the plugin or pages compiled in GWT. Is there is a fix planned for this?

    An application built entirely with GWT 2.1.1 will not render in Firefox 5. The same application renders in Firefox version 2,3 and 4. The GWT plugin will not function either.

    Try using [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ compatability reporter] <br> that works to solve problems with Google Addons relating to its toolbar, presumably it may help with your add-ons.
    For problems with plugins (donate?) download, instal & run the extension from :
    * https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher
    (donate ?) download, install & run.
    No doubt Googl,s own forums will have information regarding compatibility with Firefox 5.
    You mention Firefox 2, 3 & 4. Try 3.6 that is still supported. It is also available as a portable version from: http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable/localization#legacy36

  • Links to id's and named anchors within a page in an iframe do not open in firefox

    In order to force layout of my liquid website, I use i-frames to display content . It is all on my sight www.rdelutherie.com, and I am not displaying pages from other sights. The links to sections of pages from within the same page do not work in firefox.
    I have had this problem before with named anchors, and in moving up to html5 and in making my site accessible for people with dissabilities, I started using &lt;nav&gt; eliments... and changed from named anchors to links to ID's like this:
    In an unordered list I have these:
    <pre><nowiki> <li><a href="#s1">Subject 1:</a></li>
    </nowiki></pre>
    They link to sections of the same page like this one:
    <pre><nowiki>
    <section id=s1>
    <h2>Subject 1:</h2>
    <p>Blah blah blaaaaah, and bla bla!</p>
    </section></nowiki></pre>
    Last time I researched this problem (a year or more ago), I was told that it was because of a security risk (something about being able to count views...and other peoples proprietary and copyrighted material), but the vaguely described reasoning made little to no sense to me nor many others, who can not even link to our own stuff. The Mozilla developers were rather abrupt and some were even rude in telling us to live with it, instead of trying to come up with a solution or work around, and closed the post and disallowed further posting.
    The problem still persists, and although I am not a programmer, I have a real hard time believing that it is impossible for Firefox to distinguish between links contained within a document and site, from those on different sights, domains and what have you.
    As far as I know, no other browsers have this problem, so if it is such a big security risk, what is to stop someone with malicious intentions, from just using M$ IE, to bring their evil plan to fruition?
    In keeping with "Making the web a better place": Please address this problem, and find a solution, workaround, or at least explain why it is impossible.
    Bob English

    Thanks again jscher2000,
    I know exactly what you mean, but I have had other page display problems with adjacent columns where one side does not display completely and seems to be conforming to the other ones height... hence the height settings and other tricks to force things to be acceptable.
    I am far from understanding code, and most of the solutions, including the one in the link you posted do not have the information a novice like me would need to implement them successfully. Most of them are written for people much more advanced. Without it telling me where exactly to put the code, point to it, what I can (and should) change and remove elsewhere because of it... I am at a loss. I don't know the basics, and have tried hard to understand them, but it is not like electrical circuits, physics and other things that I can understand naturally and with ease.
    I will look into it further in a few days, meanwhile I have to attend to my real work that doesn't even pay the bills completely: guitar building and repair, now that comes easy and naturally to me!

  • Upgrading to Firefox 17 on ubuntu linux 10.04 caused my xmodmap remapped keys to not work in Firefox

    After upgrading from Firefox 16 (16.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1) to Firefox 17 (17.0+build2-0ubuntu0.10.04.1) on 22-November-2012 I no longer can use an xmodmap remapped F key in Firefox. It still works in other gnome programs but pressing the new F key anywhere in Firefox 17 produces no action. I even had to use the gedit program in order to type all this before copying it into the Ask a Question form.
    Here is my situation: I use Ubuntu Linux 10.04 LTS on a circa 2004 Sony Vaio notebook pc. I've been using linux on it dating back to Ubuntu 8.04. When I got the used pc the "F" key on the keyboard was broken off. I programmed the .xmodmaprc file in my home folder to initiate the "Keycode 133 = F" command on startup in order to remap the missing key to the unused Windows Logo key on the lower left of the keyboard. This has worked flawlessly for over four years. In all prior versions of Firefox going back to whatever version was included in Ubuntu 8.04 I have had no trouble using this key through all Firefox upgrades until now.
    On the morning of 22-Nov-2012 the Update Manager notified me of an upgrade to the following packages as shown in the history log of Synaptic Package Manager:
    Commit Log for Thu Nov 22 09:20:16 2012
    Upgraded the following packages:
    firefox (16.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1) to 17.0+build2-0ubuntu0.10.04.1
    firefox-branding (16.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1) to 17.0+build2-0ubuntu0.10.04.1
    firefox-gnome-support (16.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1) to 17.0+build2-0ubuntu0.10.04.1
    firefox-locale-en (16.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1) to 17.0+build2-0ubuntu0.10.04.1
    ubufox (2.1.1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1) to 2.6-0ubuntu0.10.04.1
    xul-ext-ubufox (2.1.1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1) to 2.6-0ubuntu0.10.04.1
    After performing the upgrade and restarting Firefox I noticed I was no longer able to use my remapped F key at all. I checked other programs and it worked OK so I know it's a Firefox 17 problem only. I tried reinstalling all the packages again with no results. I even went so far as to perform a Reset Firefox in Help-->Troubleshooting Information to try and get it working. All this ended up doing was removing all add-on extensions and changing some of my settings in Preferences but I'm not positive of any changes beyond the Location Bar setting in Privacy changing from Nothing to History and proxy setting going from No to Auto-Detect.
    The only solution that has worked to fix this problem is uninstalling Firefox 17 and reinstalling Firefox 16 using a downloaded firefox_16.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.10.04.1_i386.deb file from Ubuntu as Firefox 16 no longer shows up in the main repository since 22-November-2012. The only versions available for a Force Version in Synaptic are 3.6 and 17 now. After downgrading only the firefox package shows version 16.0.2, all other components I listed above stayed at version 17. I don't know if this will cause any other problems but so far nothing bad has happened.
    After I submit this question I will be downgrading again to Firefox 16 until this problem can be solved.
    Edit: noted the following Language Packs were disabled on restart after downgrading to Firefox 16 again:
    English (GB) Language Pack 17.0
    English (South Africa) Language Pack 17.0
    If my memory is correct I only remember having an English (GB) Language Pack in all prior versions of Firefox. Firefox 17 was the first time I noticed a English (South Africa) Language Pack installed. It's possible the problem with xmodmap keys not functioning in Firefox 17 could be related to something in these two packs.

    Ok I tested a bunch of different Firefoxes on my pos linux box.

    I have an old Dell Dimension 2400 I plan to use as a replacement for the Sony Vaio when it pops. I've held out as long as possible because it lacks a pci or usb wifi and I really didn't want to run 50 feet of cat5 up a flight of stairs to it. [as i type this i think i remember where a linksys stick for it might be]. Yes I guess it's about time I just do that.
    Don't laugh but the reason I held off adding a simple usb keyboard was just lack of space in my tiny bedroom. My setup is on two tray tables side-by-side. Sony Vaio is on left one, my lcd monitor and mouse are on the other. I barely have room to put a cup of coffee on the one with monitor and mouse let alone a full size usb keyboard lol.
    Anyway thank you again for all your help.

    Just installed Firefox 3.6. Firefox will not start and Firefox safemode does not start either. Using Task manager I do not see if started either. If I create a new profile and start from that window, Firefox starts up. I see no error windows/messages. I do have it listed in my Firewall as an exception program with Permit All. What is happening?

    If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
