Website not centred in firefox ?

just downloaded firefox and everything worked fine in
internet explorer, but in firefox the website is not centred to the
page ? www.mob-jukeboxes.com

Hello,
The outermost table is 100% wide, so align="center" won't
change anything
there.
It's the nested table with the width of 684 that you want to
align="center".
Please don't click on the outer table and remove all widths,
or you'll be
spending time re-aligning all of your nested tables and all
your nicely
spaced td's.
Take care,
Tim

• Website Not opening in Firefox or Chrome

So my website will not open in Firefox or Chrome, only safari.  Why?
It also opens slowly... 8sec load... in Safari.  My videos are on no preload and my images are web safe sizes.

Hi,
What are the contents in you website. Please share the url of your website.

• Image on website not displaying on Firefox

Hi,
I am having problems with an image on my website www.sanomag.com.au.
The image in the left sidebar (green "all-in-one advertising" ad-box) is not appearing on Firefox. It appears fine on Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. I believe it might be to do with a coding problem because I checked and images aren't blocked for that site or any site on Firefox.
Can you please help me out?
Thanks!

Thanks cor-el!! That was the problem! We changed the name of the image and it miraculously appeared on the site!
Thanks, we really appreciate it! That had us completely stumped! :)

• Website not appearing on Firefox for Mac?

My company has just launched our new website www.robotandspark.com - which loads correctly the first time you view it, but if you close the window, open a new one and type the URL, the page appears blank (white). Is this a Firefox or a website issue? Thanks

If the problem only with MAC then try in safemode
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)
* On Windows you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
* On Mac you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the option key while starting Firefox.
* On Linux you can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by quitting Firefox and then going to your Terminal and running: firefox -safe-mode (you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
* Or open the Help menu and click on the Restart with Add-ons Disabled... menu item while Firefox is running.

Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the Troubleshooting extensions and themes article for that.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.
Thank you.

• Some text on various websites not showing in Firefox on my iMac

I've had my iMac for a couple of months now and this problem has been a persistent one that I cant go on ignoring any longer!
When I open some website (eg. someones blog, or facebook or twitter etc) not all of the text is displayed. I can see there is supposed to be text there but I just cant SEE it.
If I copy and paste it elsewhere (eg. into Word) I am able to view all of it.
Why is it doing this and how do I stop it?! Any help/advice appreciated (please bear in mind Im not a techie by nature so you might need to dumb it down for me!?)
Thanks so much,
Andrea

If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.
*Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but to use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.

• Some websites not loading in Firefox but load in Chrome. Weirdly fixed itself. But why?

Hi.
I had a very strange problem this morning. Firefox wouldn't load about 75% of the websites I usually visit. These sites were accessible via other devices in the house. So I downloaded Chrome to my desktop and was able to access those sites from Chrome.
So I went back to Firefox to continue trying to troubleshoot what the problem was that Firefox had suddenly developed. But all of a sudden, everything was loading again in Firefox.
Now I didn't do anything other than installing Chrome and importing my bookmarks.
So this sounds a bit wonky and mysterious to me.
Does anybody have any ideas about what might have happened and why?
Thanks for your time.
Yours,
Simon.

This seems to have been a problem with BT Broadband, they've posted an apology and had some sort of weird outage.
So not a problem at my end at all.
Weird that switching to Chrome seemed to resolve it though, but I guess that might just have been a co-incidence.
Not sure how to close my own question?

• Website not displaying in Firefox. Works fine in IE 10 & Chrome. Windows 8/x64

Using Firefox 21.0 on Windows 8/x64. I am experiencing some sites where Firefox displays an odd looking graphic but none of the UI that displays in Chrome or IE 10. I can re-create it for example by going to http://www.basspay.com. I'm stumped. I removed all plugins/add-ons. Started in safe mode. Deleted everything in history - all to no avail. Any pointers on where I might start to even look? It's almost the same response one would expect if javascript was disabled and there was no "noscript" fallback. Except javascript is enabled and this is a stock installation of Firefox without a single setting or config change.

going off of what philipp said here is what you get in the page inspector, it is a backward slash, when fixed it looks like the second picture

• When I am NOT private browsing Firefox will not allow me to delete or change the website address in the location bar. My only remedy is to open a new window and search in google then click the link to that site through google. How can I resolve this?

Question
When I am NOT private browsing Firefox will not allow me to delete or change the website address in the location bar. My only remedy is to open a new window and search in google then click the link to that site through google. When I swap to private browsing firefox allows me to anter the website address directly into the location bar - but this is a slow [prcess to swap back and forth - also by dint of using private browsing I loose my website information.

Start Firefox in <u>Safe Mode</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Images (actually graphics) loaded fine in the previous version of firefox, but now do not open in firefox 5. It is our business' website. it opens and looks fine in explorer and other browsers. However, please goto www.trinitystone.biz (using Firefox 5)and look at how the top menu bar has a black box surrounding it and the bottom menu also has this black bar. It is not supposed to be there, if you view the site from IE, you will see what it is supposed to look like. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

• Firefox will not start and open a website from a Thunderbird email link. It will go to a link from Thunderbird once Firefox is open, but will not initially start Firefox and proceed to open the Thunderbird email link.

Firefox will not start and open a website from a Thunderbird email link. A link from Thunderbird will open once Firefox is already started, but will not initially start Firefox and proceed to open the Thunderbird email link.

I also have this problem. I cannot open links from a discussion board I frequent nor can I open links from my email. Also after opening my email, I cannot go to any other sites except my home page. I can then go no where else.
When I close Firefox and try to reopen it, it does nothing! I have to bring up the Task Manager and end the Firefox process before I can get back in.
To the best of my knowledge, this problem started with the new update to Ver. 3.6.9. I am running Windows XP Media Center 2005

• PDFs do not load in Firefox, they do when I'm in Safari. If I'm on a website and I click on a pdf link, nothing happens. It has happened from multiple sites.

PDF files do not load in Firefox. I click on a link for a PDF and nothing comes up. It happens at every website. I've been using Safari because PDFs open up there just fine. I have all the updated plug-ins, etc. and checked to make sure everything on Firefox was updated. I'm on a MacBook Pro, 10.7.3. I've never had this problem before.

I am having the same issue - also on a macbook pro, also turning to Safari. I just get a blank page - no download initiates, nothing happens.

• Select images and text from one particular website do not load in Firefox

As a website manager, I have been updating the text and images for a website. And I have found that on one page (http://nikkiyoung.biz/On-The-Scene.php), certain images and paragraphs of text do not appear in Firefox. I've tried it on multiple computers, and multiple browsers (Internet Explorer and Chrome), and those items appear as they're supposed to, but no matter which computer I use, if I'm using Firefox, those spaces appear invisible. Please advise.
Thank you.

This could be due to a large number of nested &lt;div> elements. I'm not sure what is generating those, but it seems Firefox sometimes fails to display deeply nested elements. Can you review your code and see whether it's possible to reduce that?
