Table page change event

Hi,
I want to execute some code on table's page change.
For example, if table displays 10 records at a time then I want update in db, counter of those records. If user clicks on next button on table to display next 10 records then I want to update counter of those 10 records in one go in db.
Any suggestion, how should I do it ?
thanks.

If i keep the default value for change event policy, I get the error- Target unreachable - identifier row resolved to null. I set the changeEventPolicy to ppr in order to fix that issue.

  • Contextual Event question (Currency Change Event)

    Hello,
    I have published a contextual event on my table (Currency Change Event)
    I also have a SelectionListener on the same table.
    Will I have to manually/programmatically publish the event within the selection listener code? (and if so, how?)
    The reason I ask is that I practiced with a small app containing a region from an ADF library that handled currency change event from the referenced task flow and everything was great, but now I am trying to apply the same principles to my "proper" application and there is no currency change event being received in the parent application.
    I had a look at Andrejus example (http://andrejusb.blogspot.co.uk/2010/10/contextual-events-framework-and-adf-11g.html) but he has hand crafted the events on the page binding will I have to do that too? Is it not enough that I have the currency change event declared?
    Any help appreciated, thanks
    JDeveloper 11.1.2.2

    I've applied the same processing to another table that uses the standard collectionModel.makeCurrent selection listener and it's firing the contextual event handler in the parent application, so that almost confirms that it's the bespoke selection listener that needs code adding to it to invoke the currency change event
    edit :
    I added this code to invoke the makeCurrent and everything is ok again, thanks for listening
    FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ELContext elContext = fc.getELContext();
    ExpressionFactory ef =
    fc.getApplication().getExpressionFactory();
    MethodExpression meth = ef.createMethodExpression(elContext, "#{bindings.partnersVO1.collectionModel.makeCurrent}", Object.class, new Class[]{SelectionEvent.class});
    meth.invoke(elContext, new Object[]{selectionEvent});

  • Help using app_standard.event(when-tab-page-changed')

    Hello ,
    I need to create a form with the following requirements . There is one content canvas which contains a tabbed canvas and on this there are two stacked canvases .
    The problem is that when I compile my form and ftp to oebs , I cannot view the tab pages on the canvas .
    I see only my the fields displayed in the first tab page without the 'tab pages'.
    How do I solve this issue please ?
    My when-page-page-trigger contains the following :
    BEGIN
         APP_STANDARD.EVENT('WHEN-TAB-PAGE-CHANGED');
    if name_in('system.cursor_block') = 'XX_ERROR_MANAGEMENT' then
    if not form_success then
    -- Revert tab to prior value and exit
    set_canvas_property('CAN_INT',topmost_tab_page,name_in('system.tab_previous_page'));
    return;
    end if;
    -- Move to first item on each tab
    if target_canvas_name = 'CAN_INT' then
         SHOW_VIEW('CAN_ONG1');
    go_item('XX_ERROR_MANAGEMENT.INTERFACE_TYPE');
    else
    show_view(target_canvas_name);
    end if;
    END IF;
    END;
    Any help will be much appreciated . Thanks .

  • WHEN-TAB-PAGE-CHANGED's navigation for 1 table

    i have 1 table e.g. Employees
    It's fields displayed in tab's pages canvas
    i want to navigate through the keyboard from the Last item in page_1 to the First Item in page_2 and so on...
    they r in the same table i want to make it programatically not distributing items manually...
    Any ideas plz.
    Regards,
    Abdetu...

    _1) If the user Select any tab randamly so i should do the following as in:_
    -- WHEN-TAB-PAGE-CHANGED
    DECLARE
         tp_nm VARCHAR2(30); -- tab's name
    BEGIN
         tp_nm := GET_CANVAS_PROPERTY('TAB_CANVAS', topmost_tab_page);
         IF tp_nm ='INFO_PERSONAL'  THEN GO_ITEM ('HR_EMPLOYEES.ID_NUMBER');
         ELSIF tp_nm ='QUALIFICATIONS'  THEN GO_ITEM ('QUALIFICATION_ID');
         ELSIF tp_nm ='MILITARY_STATUS'  THEN GO_ITEM ('HR_EMPLOYEES.MARITAL_STATUS_ID');
         ELSE null;
         END IF;
         END;
    So, it should work as you wrote. I don't see any problem in this code.
    2) i want to navigate through the keyboard from the Last item in page_1 to the First Item in page_2 and so on...programatically ...Okay, there are three options...
    1. If you set the order of items in object navigator (which you don't want) then by pressing the enter key on last item of tab page it will move to the second tab's first item.
    2. Create KEY-NEXT-ITEM trigger and use the GO_ITEM() and send on next tab page's first item.
    3. Use the navigable property as i mentioned earlier.

  • Subcribe a Portal User Group to content change events on page?

    Another developer at my shop has created a custom routine that programmatically subscribes the given user to content change events on a page. At the heart of their custom routine are the following Oracle Portal API calls:
    portal.wwctx_api_private.set_context( v_user );
    portal.wwsbr_app_approval.subscribe
    p_object_context_id => v_siteid,
    p_page_id => v_pageid
    ...where v_user is the account we want to subscribe for notification of content changes on the given page.
    I have a need to extend this to allow subscriptions of Portal User Groups (PUGs) for the same content change events. It is not acceptable to statically subscribe the PUG membership, because I do not want a situation where today I subscribe all the members of group X, then tomorrow the membership of group X changes, but the list of subscribed users does not change automatically with the group membership modification. I could just as well manually subscribe each group member without going through the hassle of coding a modified subscription UI and backend routine to handle groups.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    shastew

    My shop is currently on 10g R1 (9.0.4.3). We will be upgrading to 10g R2 (10.1.2) in a few months, but this is not the 10.1.4 version your document link points to. Is CMEF included actually usable in 10.1.2?
    Also, publish and subscribe solves a particular set of design issues and allows for a certain degree of flexibility of usage, however, I don't see any built-in support for the User Groups that Portal provides for assigning basic page permissions. It's the group support that I'm interested in...and I don't want to have to create duplications of groups outside of what I already have. I don't want to have to write an entire application infrastructure to support outside group membership maintenance just for supporting subscription notifications. This should have already been built-in to interface with the existing Portal page permissions group framework. At our shop, a lot of effort has already been put into setting up and maintaining these built-in groups and we should be able to re-use them for something as brain dead simple as subscription notification.
    I've already given up and opened an enhancement request "TAR" for this.

  • Need help going to error page from jsf component value change event

    Afternoon all,
    I have a jsp page which uses jsf components and when one of the jsf combo boxes components handles an value change event, the method 'handleTestComboValueChange' is fired.
    Within this method if an error is caught I would like to display an error page instead of the currently displayed page.
    Can some one tell me how to do this. I tried to use getFacesContext().getExternalContext().redirect("errorpage.jsp"); but I just got an illegalStackException error.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks in advance,
    Lex

  • How to populate data in the data table on combo box change event

    hi
    i am deepak .
    i am very new to JSF.
    my problem is i want to populate data in the datatable on the combo box change event.
    for example ---
    combo box has name of the city. when i will select a city
    the details of the city should populate in the datatable. and if i will select another city then the datatable should change accordingly..
    its urgent
    reply as soon as possible
    thanks in advance

    i am using Rational Application Developer to develop my application.
    i am using a combo box and i am assigning cityName from the SDO.
    and i am declaring a variable in the pageCode eg.
    private String cityName;
    public void setCityName(String cityName){

                   <hx:behavior event="onchange" target="menu1" behaviorAction="get"
                        targetAction="box1"></hx:behavior>
    and also i am declaring a requestParam type variable named city;
    and at the onChangeEvent i am writing the code
    public void handleMenu1ValueChange(ValueChangeEvent valueChangedEvent) {
    FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    Map requestScope = ext.getApplication().createValueBinding("#{requestScope}").getValue(context);
    requestScope.put("login",(String)valueChangedEvent.getNewValue());
    and also i am creating another SDO which is used to populate data in datatable and in this SDO in the where clause i am using that requestParam .
    it is assigning value in the pageCode variable and in the requestParam but it is not populating the dataTable. i don't no why??
    it is possible that i may not clear at this point.
    please send me the way how my problem can be solved.
    thanks in advance

  • How to handle tab change event in UI shell main area

    Hi,
    I have two tabs(two taskflows) in UI shell main area. one is department tab and another is employee tab. My department tab shows employees department wise. On employee tab I have emplyee table which shows employees jobwise. This employee table has the functionality of adding new record to employee vo as well.
    Now i follow these steps.
    1. by defualt department tab is open.
    2. by clickinng on Tasks menu link i open Employee tab in to main area. Now i have both tabs in main area.
    3. at Employee tab I search all employees job = accountant. It shows the search result well.
    4. Now i add a new record to it and without saving/deleting this record i move to department tab.
    5. at Department tab i search employees where department =20, here no relation b/w job and department.
    6. Now i return to employee tab. my newly added record got disappeared. It is there but does not show in table.
    How to resolve it??
    I have one solution in my mind while changing the tab i can prompt to user "you can not leave the newly added record..either save it or delete it". But how to catch tab change event here? where i can write code to prompt msg to user?
    Pls help.

    With apologies for the slow reply, I'm currently travelling.
    Two things to note:
    1) The af:document uncommittedDataWarning flag was designed to stop users navigating away from half entered records. More about this flag can be found here:
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/b31973/af_orgpage.htm#CACDDDFH (see point 4)
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/unsaveddatawarning-096556.html
    ....please note our documentation from time to time spells this flag wrong with only one "t" in the word committed, so if you're attempting a bulk search check for this (and I'll raise document bugs to get this fixed in the future).
    2) On addressing the ADF UI Shell, if you're switching between "pages" in the UI Shell, as separate to switching between dynamic tabs within a single page using the UI Shell, the UI Shell will actually restart the currently running task flow in the page you're returning too. You can verify this by implementing an initializer on your task flow with a log message, and watching when the initializer is called.
    In addressing your last question, at this stage I think you need to assess my first answer then come back if you think you sill need to execute the code on the tab click. I also need to know are you talking about the primary level of tabs that represent each page in the UI Shell, or are you referring to the dynamic tabs within a single UI Shell page that hold your task flows?

  • Issue in execution of Dynamic action on change event

    Hi,
    Greetings.
    I have scenario, where I have one select list (P_CATEGORY) and one shuttle control (P_ROOMS) on page.
    The values of the shuttle list is being populated based on the selected value in select list.
    The left pane of shuttle control's value based on LOV and source of the shuttle item is a plsql function, which returning colon separated value list.
    So that returned values shown in the right pane of shuttle.
    The LOV values are getting being populated using cascading LOV i.e based on the of Select List item. But the Shuttle source values not getting auto refresh and for achieving that I've created a dynamic true action on change event of Select list.
    The dynamic action is with :
    Action : Set Value
    Set Type : PL SQL funciton body
    Page items to submit : P_CATEGORY (this is select list)
    Escape Special Character : Yes
    Suppress Change event : Yes
    Affected Elements -
    Selection type : Item(s)
    Item(s) : P_ROOMS
    This is perfectly working on Firefox but not working on IE9 & Google Chrome.
    I've debugged in both IE9 & Google chrome and found the dynamic action get executes ajax call and the values get back but not rendering on the screen. i.e not assigning to the item.
    So can you please advice me what will be a workaround for this issue?
    I am using Application Express 4.1.0.00.32 .
    I'll appreciate your prompt response.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Jaydipsinh Raulji

    I don't understand why this is not working withouth seeing an example, there might be multiple processes working on the item.
    Anyway if the value is returned check if the value is in the session aswell. If it is in the session but not on the page that means you will need to find a way to bring it from the DB to the page. You can do this by adding an action to your DA:
    Action: Execute PL/SQL code
    PL/SQL code: NULL;
    Page Items to Return: your shuttle item

  • Dynamic Action, validation check, on an Item, could not use Change event

    I am learning how to use Dynamic Actions in a 3.2.x app that was upgraded to 4.0.x. I wanted to share what I learned adding client side validation with these actions. Perhaps an Apex guru could suggest an easier method to use this feature.
    I have an existing function where a user selects multiple rows in a report page, and then assigns a single status and enters justification text for the selected rows in another page, then saves changes (via submit).
    One item, justification, is required. I replaced my JavaScript validation of an empty value, e.g., P10_JUSTIFICATION.value, with a dynamic action. The Change event was a candidate for this item, with the "is not null" Condition. However, it is possible to initiate this screen to review the status, overlook the justification text and immediately select a button to save changes. No Change event has fired. The Before Page Submit event was applicable here. This Event selection in the wizard does not provide the Item for definition and then the Condition wasn't the right context though available for selection. I selected JavaScript expression for the Condition, actually entered my original JS test expression, and created one True Action. The True action displays an Alert to tell the user that required text is missing.
    Test of this DA was not completely successful. The alert appeared but the page went on to submit anyway. I found I had to add another True Action, Cancel Event, to stop the submit. The DA was then successful.
    The Apex site examples, [http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/db/apex/r40/apexdynactions/apexdynactions_ll.htm] , do a great job showing use of Change and Set Value events for Items but a user may not always navigate through items. These features were promoted for developers with no to little knowledge of JavaScript to use Apex for application development. This DA required using/understanding JS anyways.
    My next step is to implement actions on a tabular form that that has required values. It is disconcerting that I have read in the forum that the column value references such as f0x and its row number are required to get it all working (as a DOM or JQuery selector). I have already found that tabular form columns can be re-ordered from v3.2.1 to 4.0.x. I was hoping I could declare dynamic actions or simpler Javascript methods that would not rely on f0x array references.
    Thanks,
    Kelly

    It is disconcerting that I have read in the forum that the column value references such as f0x and its row number are required to get it all working (as a DOM or JQuery selector).Not necessarily. One possibility is to use descendent jQuery selectors to attach the dynamic action event handler by column heading:
    td[headers="HIREDATE"] input

  • In Reports what  is the difference between the AT NEW and ON CHANGE Event

    Hi,
            Could you tell the differences of AT NEW and ON CHANGE events in Repors

    Hi raghava,
    The Major Difference is :
    a) When AT NEW occurs,
    the alpha-numeric fields have ******* in their value,
    b) where as in case of ON CHANGE,
    the alpha-numeric fields have their corresponding value,
    of that particular record,
    where the Event gets fired.
    Other differences are :
    ON CHANGE OF can be used any where in the program..
    on change of differs from at new in the following respects:
    1.It can be used in any loop construct, not just loop at. For example, it can be used within select and endselect, do and enddo, or while and endwhile, as well as inside get events.
    2.A single on change of can be triggered by a change within one or more fields named after of and separated by or. These fields can be elementary fields or field strings. If you are within a loop, these fields do not have to belong to the loop.
    3.When used within a loop, a change in a field to the left of the control level does not trigger a control break.
    4.When used within a loop, fields to the right still contain their original values; they are not changed to contain zeros or asterisks.
    5.You can use else between on change of and endon.
    6.You can use it with loop at it where . . ..
    7.You can use sum with on change of. It sums all numeric fields except the one(s) named after of.
    8.Any values changed within on change of remain changed after endon. The contents of the header line are not restored as they are for at and endat.
    while
    AT NEW can be used only within a loop of an INTERNAL TABLE..
    5. Sample program to get the taste of it
    (just copy paste)
    6.
    REPORT ABC.
    DATA : BEGIN OF ITAB OCCURS 0,
    bukrs like t001-bukrs,
    f1(10) type c,
    end of itab.
    itab-bukrs = '1000'.
    itab-f1 = '1111111'.
    append itab.
    itab-bukrs = '1100'.
    itab-f1 = '3333333'.
    append itab.
    itab-bukrs = '1200'.
    itab-f1 = '555555'.
    append itab.
    AT NEW
    loop at itab.
    at new bukrs.
    write :/ itab-bukrs , itab-f1.
    endat.
    endloop.
    AT ONCHANGE
    loop at itab.
    ON CHANGE OF ITAB-BUKRS.
    write :/ itab-bukrs , itab-f1.
    ENDON.
    endloop.

  • Dynamic action on File browse change event

    Hi Experts,
    apex version 4.1
    This is what i'm trying to do..
    i have a file browse control and a text field. when user selects a file, selected fiel's name (without file type extension) should be set to text field.
    I tried adding a dynamic action to file browse control's change event and within pl/sql Set Value logic i queried the wwv_flow_files and tried to return the file name it didn't work. i got no data found error. i assumed file is being inserted into wwv_flow_files when a page submission happens.
    In my second approach within the SetValue pl/sql logic i got the file browser control's (by directly accessing field, not by querying wwv_flow_files)value and did some string manipulation and tried to return only the file name. yet i got the same no data found error.
    Any idea how can i implement this ?
    Thanks in advance.
    - kurubaran

    Hi,
    I think PL/SQL approach will not work before you submit data to database.
    Have you think use $v function to get value from file browser?

  • How to send an email in case a Z Table is changed.

    Hi All,
              I need some guidance on how to send an email in case a Z Table is changed.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Saket

    HI Saket,
    As far as I understand you need to send an email whenever a Ztable is changed.For that
    1. You need to create a BO with the event Table changed using transaction SW01.
    2. then you need to bind this event to your Ztable.for that steps are mentioned in the link given below:-
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/abap/how%20to%20implement%20events%20in%20table%20maintenance.doc
    basically this pdf will illustrate to you as to how you should bind a event to table maintenance. this event should be traced with the one created in the BO using transaction SWEL.
    3.After that you need to create workflow wherein you will use the event which you have defined in the BO in the BASIC DATA(button with the Hat) of the workflow developer(Transaction swdd). in the Basic data you need to put in the object name and the event in the Startitng condition tab.
    4.After that you need to have an email task included as in the workflow stating the text and subject line with the agent assigned as Workflow initiator.
    after all these settings are done the try to do some changes in the Ztable. and after that just goto the transaction sbwp(Sap business workplace) to check whether the email has been sent out for.
    Let me know if you are still unable to implement becuase I have already worked on it and its working in my case

  • No sourceSet nodes in the change event??!, help!

    I have Acrobat 9 pro and it comes with Lifecycle 8.2 ES
    I decided to try the data drop down with an address block for a simple database hello world form.
    I have read every web reference to this (on the surface) simple hello world style forms project.
    In the process I’ve learned formCalc, accessors, clone(1), Ref, the XML form model, sourceSet,
    binding, nodes, items, shortcut formCalc notation, form vars, defining OLEDB and OLEDB ODBC (tried both).
    I’ve coded the change event at least 30 different ways using both formCalc and javascript.
    I still can’t get this to work. I belive in RTFM but this has finally kicked my a** and I need some help.
    I know what the problem is, I don’t believe it. The sourceSet node in the change event has 0 nodes even though I have two data connections and I can access them in the initialize event. Did they remove access to the sourceSet in the change event completly in Acrobat 9 and just didn’t tell anyone?
    My database is SQL server with two tables.
    A customer table with Name and CustomerID
    An Address Table with CustomerId and address information
    I set up the data drop down to display the Name and then in the change callback I tried to get the CustomerId
    and query for the data in the second table. I’ve bound the address block data to fields in the second table and set the second table to delayed open.
    I’ve tried this with every possible way of coding an accessor. When coded directly (using the intellsence thing) I get unknown accessor for the error. When using the index method and searching for it with a while, I get index out of range with an index value of 0.
    Here is a formCalc version of the change callback:
    ========================
    $host.messageBox(“In Change”)
    var sName = xfa.event.newText
    var sCustomerId = $.boundItem(sName)
    var oDataConn = Ref($sourceSet.DataConnectionCRM.clone(1))
    $host.messageBox(sCustomerId )
    oDataConn.#command.query.commandType=”text”
    oDataConn.#command.query.select = Concat(“SELECT [Name], Customer.[CustomerId], [AddressLine1], [AddressLine2], City, State, Zip FROM [DSD_JDEPROD].[dbo].[Customer] join [DSD_JDEPROD].[dbo].[Address] on PrimaryAddressId = Address.AddressId where Customer.CustomerId = ‘”, sCustomerId ,”‘;”)
    oDataConn.open()
    ========================
    This version of the code has the unknown accessor error at this line:
    var oDataConn = Ref($sourceSet.DataConnectionCRM.clone(1))
    I’ve coded this line many different ways using xfa notation, $sourceSet notation, resolveNode notation, but in the end it doesn’t matter
    because this message box:
    $host.messageBox(Concat(“sourceSet=”,xfa.sourceSet.nodes.items.length))
    returns a 0 count in the change event.
    I’ve check the XML and I have sourceSet in there and as I’ve said, the intellisense thing works and
    the initialize callback works. The dropdown is correctly populated.
    Note: I do realize I’m going to have to do something different in order to get the customerId as this:
    var sCustomerId = $.boundItem(sName)
    doesn’t work due to the way the initialize event populates the drop down. I’m sure I can fix that.
    I just can’t get past the problem of no sourceSet nodes in the change event.
    Thanks for your help!

    I have done the samething and here is the code that I used .....are you by chance using Reader to run this form?
    Paul
    //get the input from the DDlist
    var inName = xfa.event.newText;
    if (inName == ""){
    app.alert("You must enter a valid name - try again!")
    var nIndex = 0;
    while(xfa.sourceSet.nodes.item(nIndex).name != "DataConnection2")
    nIndex++;
    var oDB = xfa.sourceSet.nodes.item(nIndex).clone(1); // the node pertaining to the data connection specified
    //app.alert(oDB.saveXML("pretty"));
    //set up sql call to DB to get specifics about employee
    oDB.nodes.item(1).query.setAttribute("text", "commandType");
    oDB.nodes.item(1).query.select.nodes.item(0).value = "Select * from table1 where AcctNumber = '" + inName + "'";
    //app.alert(oDB.nodes.item(1).saveXML("pretty"));
    //now connect to DB and get a record
    oDB.open()
    //close the connection when finshed
    oDB.close();

  • Validate Date and block JavaScript page change

    how I can validate date acrobat, can block JavaScript page change, only change with a button?

    If you use the "util.scand" method date validation is part of the process. It either returns the number of milliseconds from the Epoch date used by JavaScript for the date time object the null value.
    Date Arithmetic has some sample scripts, but you need to keep in mind that Date and Time are not independent and using "new Date()" returns the date and time at the time that line of code is executed and that can cause issues for the computing of dates only.
    Are you sure of day count, most differences include the start and end dates in the number of days for the calculation.
    Custom calculation for today's date field (format is None):
    // get today's date an time
    var oToday = new Date();
    // set to start of day
    oToday.setFullYear(oToday.getFullYear(), oToday.getMonth(), oToday.getDate(), 0, 0, 0, 0)
    // set field value
    event.value = util.printd("d/mm/yyyy", oToday);
    Custom calculation for the difference in days field (format None):
    var cEnteredDate = this.getField("EnteredDate").value;
    var cToday = this.getField("Today").value;
    event.value = "";
    if(cEnteredDate != "" && cToday != "") {
    // process only if date values not empty
    // convert date strings to date time objectat midnight
    var oEnteredDate = util.scand("d/mm/yyyy", cEnteredDate );
    if (oEnteredDate == null) {
    app.alert("Error in processing entered date", 2, 0);
    oEnteredDate.setFullYear(oEnteredDate.getFullYear(), oEnteredDate.getMonth(),oEnteredDate.getDate(), 0, 0, 0, 0)
    var oToday = util.scand("d/mm/yyyy", cToday);
    if(oToday ==  null) {
    app.alert("Error converting today", 2,0);
    oToday.setFullYear(oToday.getFullYear(), oToday.getMonth(),oToday.getDate(), 0, 0, 0, 0)
    // convert date objects to days
    var nEnteredDate = Math.floor(oEnteredDate.getTime() / (1000 * 60 * 60 * 24));
    var nToday = Math.floor(oToday.getTime() / (1000 * 60 * 60 * 24));
    // compute & format the difference
    event.value = util.printf("%,0 1.0f", (nToday - nEnteredDate));
