Tables in PA (Project Accouting)

Hi Guys,
I earlier worked on OM Apps,
now i'm in to new module PA (Project Accouting)
me being new to this module, can anyone give an overview about this module with the important TABLES, API .......
if anyone has material on this, it would be great to share...
thanks in advance,
Manoj

Hi Manoj,
Below is a link to information that will give you some background on the Projects applications. Project Accounting as you refer to is what we usually call Project Costing and Project Billing. Our newer products are Project Management, Project Collaboration, Resource Management and Portfolio Analysis.
http://www.oracle.com/applications/projects/intro.html
For a list of common tables and API's you should get your hands on a User Guide which is available to all of our customers.
Thanks,
Dean

  • Cutting and pasting tables from one project to another

When cutting and pasting existing tables from one project to
another, the line weights for the cell borders seem to vary at
random - some are the original line weight and some are heavier
    when pasted.
I've tried sorting things out with the table properties
    dialogue, but to no effect.
Is there a quick fix, or am I better importing in whole
topics and then editing the imported topic?

    Hi Colum/Peter,
It's not a custom table, I just need to copy an existing
table from one project to another.
My blasted developers (may the fleas of a thousand camels,
etc), just decided to change the toolbars in one of our
applications. As this toolbar appears in slightly different guises
in about 6 tabs, I was trying to update the table that shows what
icon does what and cut and paste that table into all the sub
projects I have. Each table then only needs a minor edit for a few
    icons specific to that sub-project.
Peter's on the right track. When I cut and pasted the table
it also pasted in a number of lines of HTML associated with the
styles in the other project. If I delete those lines, the table
    then appears as it should.
    Thanks for prompt response

  • Table for WBS project status and budget.

    hi,
i am being requested to have a report with project details with the PO and PR.
but i were unable to find the table for the project status (TECO, REL) for a WBS element. may i know want table and what field they were being link?
aside, may i know under what table does the "budget assigned" to a WBS element located at?
    thanks

    Hi Ben,
in order to retrieve the status of a WBS element, please select into table JEST by object number (JEST-OBJNR = PRPS-OBJNR). This will give you an internal status code (JEST-STAT). Then go to table TJ02 with this internal code and select field TJ02-TXT04: this will give you the external status code.
For the budget, go to tables COSP and COSS, selecting by object number (OBJNR).
I hope this helps. Best regards,
    Alvaro

  • Is there a way to clean up the Timesheet tables in MS Project 2007 before I migrate to 2013?

    Hi All
I'm attempting to migrate an instance of project server 2007 over to 2013.  The problem is that it failes on the convertto process when combining the 4 2010 databases into a single 2013 database.
Reading through the logs it appears to be an issues with an invalid Foreign Key in the MSP_TimesheetProjects table.
On investigation I find that the 2007 Timesheet tables in the Reporting database have a number of invalid entries.  We don't use the timesheeting system in that particular instance so there should not be any entries at all.  There are however a
couple to projects in the TimesheetProjects table, as well as a few tasks and timesheet lines, even though there don't appear to be any timesheets.  I have run a delete on all timesheets in the system, and have rebuild the Reporting database by restoreing
custom fields, but I can't seem to shift them.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate the help.
    John

    Hi John,
What I'd suggest would be to refresh the 2007 reporting DB. See the procedure below:
Logon to Project Web Access with Administrator credentials
Select Administrative Backup from the Database Administration secton on the Server
    SettingsPage in Project Web Access
In the Items for Backup section of the Backup page,
select the checkbox for Enterprise Custom Fields and then click the Backup button and click the OK button
    when prompted by the system
Select Administrative Restore from the Database Administration secton on the Server Settings Page in Project Web Access
Choose Enterprise Custom Fields from the Choose Item selector on the Restore page
Click the Restore button and then click the OK button
    when prompted by the system
    See reference
    here.
    Hope this helps,

  • In which tables (ABAP) the Project System Information Will be stored

    Dear Guruu2019s
    Happy New Year
In project systems can we able to see, against the projects and against WBS what all the sales orders, Employees and material etc... That we assigned, in which STD report we can check all these assignments, from which tables (ABAP) it picks up the data to populate in the STD report.
I need the Tables for preparing the Z- Report. Please help meu2026
    Regards,
    Bhanu Prathap

The most common overviews with respect to sales and distribution can be obtained from CN54N/ CN55N or you can also use CNS54 / CNS55. Tables for the same are VBAK/ VBAP.
For materials you can refer to CN52N overviews for material components and CO24 for missing parts.
For resources, CN50N provides the capacity requirements and CMP9 workforce planning.

  • Table for Valuated Project stock

    Dear All,
Can any one  suggest form which table I can get value of valuated project stock for whole project.
I can get it through table QBEW (Project Stock Valuation), but it gives value for individual WBS only.
    Regards,
    Nitish

    Thanks for your reply.
Basically I am using it in Yreport and initial input parameters are only Project definition and version.
So accordingly how we can built programme, so as to pick value for whole project(all WBS) .

  • Needs the table from which "project definition" field is to be extracted

    Hi,
As a requirement in BW, we have to add the new field project definition in the BW cube 0COOM_C02(description of the cube:- CO-OM: Costs and Allocations Project (Delta Extraction)).For this, we have to add the same in all the data sources related to this cube.
Data sources under this cube are:
0CO_OM_CCA_9 (Cost Centers: Actual Costs Through Delta Extraction)
Take any one of the data source and search that in the R/3 side tcode RSA6, double click and you will find the entire structure (fields) for that data source.Double click the extract structure appearing above it to find the technical details of each field.
Now we have to add the field project definition in the data source. For extracting the same, we have to write the logic which will extract the value of project field from a table.
We dont have any problem in writing the code but
Our requirement is that during coding, from which table we should extract the value ? and also on what basis?(means what should be the selecting criteria for populating that field) .
If you want any information on these data sources, do reply me.
    Thanking you in advance,
    Tarun Brijwani.

The cube is related to module
Financials Management & Controlling----->Controlling----->Overhead Cost Controlling

  • Moving table from one project to another project using metadata.

I have exported metadata of one table from project owb_demo and I want the same table in project Owb_demo_1 by importing the metadata. I am newbie . When we export it even store project info like owb_demo . How to change this things in metadata. When I try to import it gives error saying table already exists.
How do we migrate objects from one project to other using import and export of metadata.
    thanks

    Hi Vix,
Regarding using multiple enviornments in OWB there is a case study on "How to manage multiple versions of BI implementation". You can find it the OWB case studies on the net. This guide is a useful one.
One more thread you can look into in this forum - " How design with OWB", the link is below:
    How to design inside OWB
Still if you want some specific explanations regarding this, better start a fresh new thread.

  • MUDE - How to add an existing table to an existing project

    Hi,
I am new to MUDE. We have two projects. One of the projects has been around for a while and the other is quite new. When the new project was created only one table and two aliases were added to it.
I have done quite a bit of work on the Business Model and Presentation side but now find it necessary to add a table to my project which already exists in the Master RPD. I am told that I cannot simply "Import from database" as this would cause a duplicate situation.
We are also in the middle of development and it is unknown as to all of the table my project will require and recreating a project every time is not feasible.
Can someone please elaborate on situations like these?

  • 10g: Must all related tables be in the same project?

Since we will eventaully have over 500 tables to map, we would like to be able to maintain these tables/classes in different projects. How do we map foreign key references between tables/classes that we would like to maintain in different projects?
I don't know if theis is why I'm getting this error, but I initially created two projects with independent tables. Then I wanted to join some tables in one project to some tables in another project. (This is all using Offline Database Objects.) I dropped some tables managed in project A into the diagram for project B and created the foreign key relations (from B to A.) Now whenever I try to open the TopLink Mappings node for project B in the Navigator, I get the following error. I get this error even if I drop ALL the tables from project A into project B's diagram (meaning there is nothing left in the schema that could be the missing 'parent'.)

If you wish to split your project up into two projects and have some relationships between some of those objects in the projects, you could map all of the objects for each project, but do not map the relationships. For those classes with relationships to other classes in other project you can define an amendment method. An amendment method is a callback into Java code that will be called when the descriptor is loaded. In this method you can then create the mapping to the class in the other project through the descriptor and mapping code API. (see oracle.toplink.mappings, oracle.toplink.publicinterface.Descriptor)
You can also make use of descriptor deactivation to define relationships between projects. For this you would import the related classes into the project and deactivate them. This will allow you to define relationships to them, but will not export their mapping information when deploying.
In general it is probably easier to keep everything in one project and use your content/code management system and merge tools to manage the project.

When I write the project name and click on create button, one more screen comes(like LSMW screen) where we have to give the description.
