Tables with buttons to add rows

Morning
I am having trouble with a table that has buttons to add, show and hide rows.  There are 2 rows in my table which I need to be able to add depending on which button is clicked.  I've managed to get the first button to add an instance using (Table.Row1.instanceManager.addInstance(1);) but I can't get row 2 to add to the bottom of the table with a button.  I've tried to amend the script to fit the second row but it doesn't work.
Table.Row2.instanceManager.addInstance(2);
I'd appreciate some help
I can send a sample if need be.
Many thanks
Ben

The correct syntax is addInstance(1) (or addInstance(true)).
As long as the row is set to repeat (Object>Binding>Repeat Row for Each Data Item) it should work. If the row doesn't exist yet then try using the underscore shortcut for the Instance Manager: Table._Row2.addInstance(1);

  • How can I implement the equivilent of a temporary table with "on commit delete rows"?

    hi,
    I have triggers on several tables. During a transaction, I need to gather information from all of them, and once one of the triggers has all the information, it creates some data. I Can't rely on the order of the triggers.
    In Oracle and DB2, I'm using temporary tables with "ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS" to gather the information - They fit perfectly to the situation since I don't want any information to be passed between different transactions.
    In SQL Server, there are local temporary tables and global.  Local temp tables don't work for me since apparently they get deleted at the end of the trigger. Global tables keep the data between transactions.
    I could use global tables and add some field that identifies the transaction, and in each access to these tables join by this field, but didn't find how to get some unique identifier for the transaction. @@SPID is the session, and sys.dm_tran_current_transaction
    is not accessible by the user I'm supposed to work with.
    Also with global tables, I can't just wipe data when "operation is done" since at the triggers level I cannot identify when the operation was done, transaction was committed and no other triggers are expected to fire.
    Any idea which construct I could use to acheive the above - passing information between different triggers in the same transaction, while keeping the data visible to the current transaction?
    (I saw similar questions but didn't see an adequate answer, sorry if posting something that was already asked).
    Thanks!

    This is the scenario: If changes (CRUD) happen to both TableA and TableB, then log some info to TableC. Logic looks something like this:
    Create Trigger TableA_C After Insert on TableA {
      If info in temp tables available from TableB
            Write info to TableC
       else
           Write to temp tables info from TableA
    Create Trigger TableB_C After Insert on TableB {
      If info in temp tables available from TableA
            Write info to TableC
       else
           Write to temp tables info from TableB
    So each trigger needs info from the other table, and once everything is available, info to TableC is written. Info is only from the current transaction.
    Order of the triggers is not defined. Also there's no gurantee that both triggers would fire - changes can happen only to TableA / B and in that case I don't want to write anything to TableC.
    The part that gets and sets info to temp table is implemented as temp tables with "on commit delete rows" in DB2 / Oracle.
    What do you think? As I've mentioned, I could use global temp tables with a field that would identify the transaction, but didn't find something like that in SQL Server. And, the lifespan of local temp tables is too short.

  • EXP 11.2.0.1 export tables with at leat 1 row

    I have oracle db 11.2.0.1 and user the export utility to export
    tables, and row dati from the database to a file dmp.
    I have notice that mow it extract the table with at leat 1 row
    and do not export table empty
    and so when i execute an import i lost a lot of tables...
    Very dangerous ....
    There is and explanations ???

    You may get this effect in release 11.2.0.1 if the table has no segment. You probably have deferred_segment_creation=true. This query may help identify the tables without segments:
    select table_name from user_tables
    minus
    select segment_name from user_segments where segment_type='TABLE';
    (you will of course have to modify the query to handle more complex table structures).
    Data Pump does not have this problem.

    I just did a google search of "XML editor with buttons to add HTML tags via CDATA" and found this.
    I usually just write in all my XML by hand that included the CDATA tags if needed.

  • Problem with a table that user can add rows to

    I have a form that has a table with header.  I have included a button that users can click to add rows to the table.  I have gotten a few forms back where for some reason the header row has been repeated.  I haven't been able to recreate this on my end and my users can't identify exactly what they are doing to get those extra header rows.  I have included screen shots of the problem pages here.  I would love to upload the form since I believe my issue is with the script, but can't seem to do that.  I'm signed in to adobe.com, but when I go to new and documents and upload a file, everything is greyed out.  Am I missing something that would enable me to upload the document? Specific instructions would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    For both/all tables the HeaderRow should not be set to repeat (see the Object > Binding palette). Go to the HeaderRow in the hierarchy (for each table) and untick the "Repeat Row.."
    That should solve the problem.

  • How to create a growing table  with hierarchical increasing of rows Eg. For each row there must be a subRow i can add like for 1 i can add 1.1

    You have the right link to get started on adding authentication to your Mobile service app. But for security reasons the MobileServiceUser class only exposes the authenticated UserId and MobileServiceAuthenticationToken properties. You can save these
    two values in your client application.
    Getting the user name and email address isn't available through this medium. You would have to call into the respective APIs for the service (Facebook or Twitter APIs).

  • Problems with updatable Report - add rows

    Hello,
    I've an updatable report with about 650 rows.
    When I press the button "add rows" there is no empty row displayed.
    Is there a limit of rows for the updatable report?
    The report row limit is 1000 and the rows per page are 50.
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Aiman,
    First ensure that your app is not pointing to .NET framework 4.0 client install.  I believe you are talking about VS2010 and CR4VS2010.
    You need to go to properties of the project --> 'Application' tab --> Target framework --> select frame work 4.0.
    You should be able to see the viewer in reporting section. Note # 1529493 have the details. Check:

  • Why does a simple table with currency not add up correctly, it is 1p out and I can't work out why?

    I have a simple accounts table and when I add the row using sum function it is always 1p out, what am I doing wrong, or what is numbers doing wrong?

    M,
    Since we can't see your situation we can't be sure what is going on. The most usual reason for unexpected sums is that there fractional parts that we can't see. This will happen on calculations, not directly entered data. So, if you have a list of calculated values and you add them up, the result of the addition of the displayed values may differ from our expectation by a small amount, maybe 1p.
    You can prevent this by using the ROUND function in each of the individual calculations that make up the list.
    If you are computing Pounds to two places, you would write:
    =ROUND(YourOriginalExpression, 2)
    Doing that eliminates any unseen value beyond the second decimal place.

  • Table with a sub-heading row - under only two columns

    Hi all,
    Using TCS2 on Win 7 64-bit. This is likely a silly question but I can't for the life of me figure it out.
    I want to create a table as follows:
    -one table, with 4 columns and 5 rows
    -i would like the header row to span all 4 columns, but only be divided into 3 pieces, so that in the first row beneath the header, I can further sub-divide the farthest 2 right-columns
    I've attached a little screen diagram to try and give a sense of what I'm looking to do.
    I'm sure this is a simple thing but I just can't figure it out!
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • How to Capture a Table with large number of Rows in Web UI Test?

    HI,
    Is there any possibility to capture a DOM Tabe with large number of Rows (say more than 100) in Web UI Test?
    Or is there any bug?

    Hi,
    You can try following code to capture the table values.
    To store the table values in CSV :
    *web.table( xpath_of_table ).exportToCSVFile("D:\exporttable.csv", true);*
    TO store the table values in a string:
    *String tblValues=web.table( xpath_of_table ).exportToCSVString();*
    info(tblValues);
    Thanks

  • How to export a table with half a million rows?

    I need to export a table that has 535,000 rows. I tried to export to Excel and it exported only 65,535 rows. I tried to export to a text file and it said it was using the clipboard (?) and 65,000 rows was the maximum. Surely there has to be a way to export
    the entire table. I've been able to import much bigger csv files than this, millions of rows.

    What version of Access are you using?  Are you attempting to copy and paste records or are you using Access' export functionality from the menu/ribbon?  I'm using Access 2010 and just exported a million record table to both a text file and to Excel
    (.xlsx format).  Excel 2003 (using .xls 97-2003 format) does have a limit of 65,536 rows but the later .xlsx format does not.

  • ADOBE Form Using Table with dynamic number of rows

    Hi All
    First some information about our infrastructure:
    - AdobeDesigner 7.1 in the Developerstudio
    - SAP-Portal 7.0 SP15
    I have a View with tabstrips and behind the tabs i have defined an event. On one Tab I included a ADOBE-Form with Table. The Data for the PDF sould only filled in the context for the Form when i jump to this Tab. I created the Form by using this documentation [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0859ad1-53aa-2a10-78ae-99e41c407669].
    To fill the tablecontext I use the following Code:
    IPrivateAnlegenBANFView.IPositionenElement position = null;
    IPrivateAnlegenBANFView.IPositionenNode posNode = wdContext.nodePositionen();
    int NUM_5_TIMES = 5;
    for (int i = 0; i < NUM_5_TIMES; i) {
    IPrivateAnlegenBANFView.IPositionenElement posElement = wdContext.createPositionenElement();
    +posElement.setMaterial("" + i);+
    +posElement.setKurztext("Test" + i);+
    +posElement.setWarengruppe("Warengr" + i);+
    posNode.addElement(posElement);
    If i put this code in the wdDoInit method it  works fine and shows me 5 Rows. But if I put the code in the Action of the tabstrip it shows me only one row. I checked the entries of the context and there are 5 entries (showed them in a WD-Table).
    Can someone tell me what im doing wrong?
    Thanks for a answer and kind regards
    Pascal

    Hi All
    finally i found the solution for the problem.
    When you define the interactive Form in the view do not define the property "dataSource" of UI-Element Interactive Form it seems, that the binding is static and not dynamic.
    Add the following source to the viewCotroller
    Global Part of the Source:
    private static IWDInteractiveForm form = null;
    Method wdDoModify:
    if (firstTime) {
      form = (IWDInteractiveForm) view.getElement("InteractiveForm");
    When you have an Event where you fill your Contextnode which you want to display in the table of an Adobe Form Use this code:
    Action:
    public void onActionFillTab(com.sap.tc.webdynpro.progmodel.api.IWDCustomEvent wdEvent ){
      //@@begin onActionFillTab(ServerEvent)
         * Code to fill the Node for AdobeForm Table
        form.bindDataSource(wdContext.nodeTabelle().getNodeInfo());
      //@@end
    If you want to clear your table and show it directly use in the action the following code:
    wdContext.nodeTabelle().invalidate();
    form.bindDataSource(wdContext.nodeTabelle().getNodeInfo());
    Kind regards

  • How to fill a table with data from columns & rows from a txt file

    I am trying to fill say:
    Myname     Myclass     Mycollege
    Mohan     MD     Stanford
    from a txt file into 3 columns of a table. I can easily do it into a textarea component by
    clicking a button:
    try{
    FileReader fr = new FileReader("F:/CreatorProjects1/stan.txt");
    BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(fr);
    String s1="";
    String s="";
    stantxtarea.setValue(s);
    while((s=br.readLine())!=null) {
    s1 = s1+s;
    s1=s1+"\n";
    stantxtarea.setValue(s1);
    br.close();
    fr.close();
    } catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return null;
    All table components seem to need a database. I do not use any database. I run exe files that give output to txt files. How to solve it?
    I appreciate any help in this regard...
    dr.mohan rao

    there may be another way. This is some thing some thing I can recommend. You can create property type of ObjectListDataProvider in session or application based on the scope you required. Create web bean class with property you want to show in the column (say col1, col2, col2). Initialize the list property like similar below
    List dataList = new ArrayList();
    ObjectListDataProvider mytableprops = new ObjectListDataProvider();
    try {
    //start loop read data from your txt file
    //create instance of web bean for each line
    //add web bean instance into dataList
    //end of loop readind data from txt file
    oldpins.setList(dataList );
    oldpins.setObjectType(NotificationProfileBean.class);
    } catch (Exception ee1){;}
    return oldpins;

  • Uix table with multiple lines per row

    Hi,
    how can I design a table that has multiple lines for one row.
    It should look like this
    row1-cell1 row1-cell2
    row1-cell3 row1-cell4
    row2-cell1 row2-cell2
    row2-cell3 row2-cell4
    Thanks a lot.
    Christian

    Christian,
    I'll scribble down a quick example off the top of my head...
    <table data:tableData="${mydata}">
    <column>
    <stackLayout>
    <link text="cell1"/>
    <link text="cell3"/>
    </stackLayout>
    </column>
    <column>
    <stackLayout>
    <link text="cell2"/>
    <link text="cell4"/>
    </stackLayout>
    </column>
    </table>
    I recommend you just play around with UIX XML, and you'll find something that works.
    Hope this helps,
    Ryan
