Tagging multiple shows at once as tv shows and the name and season

so im trying to import a bunch of tv shows into itunes. after import them they come up in the movies section. how can i tag them all as tv shows and the same tv show name and season number without going through and right clicking on each one.

I wrote a program a while back to change the type of all the tracks in a selected playlist to the kind you want (TV Show, Movie, or Music Video).
It doesn't let you enter the season and other stuff though.

You'll have to put all the videos that are the wrong kind into a new playlist. Then run the EXE, select itunes_vidkind from the menu, and follow the prompts.

Are you just asking because you want to know, or do you have a problem you need to solve? I don't know how to write a program, but I think what your are describing is not an unusual thing for a program to do. The * tells you that changes have been made since the last save, and the program reserves a portion of memory for undo functions. I suppose a coder could tell you how it works, but I don't think it would help an average user to know, but that's just my opinion.

Murray is right. Padding (and margins) is added to the width. However, when using percentages, you should never use figures that add up to exactly 100%.
Browsers need to convert the percentages to pixels. Because pixels must be whole numbers, some percentages are rounded up, which results in the final element dropping down below its neighbours. With percentages, it's much safer to use values that add up to 98% (99% often works, but 98% is safer).

Downloading content to use with apple tv on television, can you download multiple shows and then watch them later or just one at a time, watch then download the next one?? If multiple downloads are possible how does one do it?

I just received apple tv as a present this Christmas and the shows take too long to download when I want to watch them. Can I download multiple shows overnight or during day and watch them in the evening?? If so how?

The ATV stores no content.
Content can be downloaded to iTunes on a computer and then streamed to the ATV via HomeSharing.

My episodes from the same show and season are separated

In iTunes, I have several episodes from The Vampire Diaries, where if I look at them in the "Album List" view, they are separated, as you can see below.
Everything is the info is exactly the same, this has happened before, with misspellings, but now they are spelt exactly the same, and correctly, and yet they are still separated, I tried deleting them and re-inserting them, but it still separates them.
Can anyone help? Thanks

Tips on grouping & sorting TV Shows...
Set the Media Kind to TV Show, give them a consistent Show name and also use this value in the Album field.
Set Artist & Album Artist to something like <Show> Cast in case iTunes/iPod starts treating them like an album instead of a TV show.
TV Shows can be subdivided into seasons by putting 1,2,3 etc. in the Season field of the Video tab of Get Info. Alternatively multiple seasons can be collapsed into one show by clearing such values.
TV Shows within a season/show are ordered alphabetically on the value of Episode ID. These are usually given in the form s##e## where ## is two digits with a leading zero if required.
I recommend using global episode numbers, so the first show of the second series of a show with 6 episodes in season one is episode 7 (s02e07). This makes it easy to set or clear the season numbers without affecting the order. I also recommend setting Disc No. to Season No. and Track No. to Episode No. as various builds of iOS/iTunes have it seems, at times, sorted on these other fields instead of Episode ID.

I just downloaded about 200 TV ep. that were in the cloud on to my IMac, however the episodes will not sort themselves in to their respective shows ands seasons (i.e. all stargate episodes are listed as indivd. shows)How can I get them together as one?

All my shows are listed as individual shows and they will not regroup in to their respective seasons, can anyone help with this issue? they were all loaded from the icloud.

How can I get a printable list of the web sites in a tab showing both the name of the site and it's location?

I use tab groups for specific projects and would like to print/save a list of the websites used on each project. Using the list function on a tab group produces a list of the web-sites which can be printed/saved via PrtSc and Word. How can the web-site addresses be included? With this list available I would then close the tabs.

Someone might have created an add-on for this, although I didn't find one in a search.
Could I suggest this workaround for now:
(1) Use the Bookmark All Tabs feature (right-click a tab when your tab group is displayed) to save all tabs to a new folder on the bookmarks menu. Some tips in the "How do I bookmark all of my open tabs?" section of this article: [[How to use bookmarks to save and organize your favorite websites]].
(2) Export bookmarks to an HTML file. Unfortunately, this will be all bookmarks, not just the ones you want, but hang in there. This article has the steps: [[Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks]].
(3) Open the exported HTML file in Firefox or your favorite WP program. Now you can either:
(A) Copy/paste the live links for your tab group into your preferred form of archival storage. Or

(i) In Firefox, you can run a little script in the Web Console on the bookmarks page. Press Ctrl+Shift+k to open the web console. Copy the following line of script, then paste it next to the caret (">") in the web console and press Enter. The URLs should appear after the links.

Can you chose multiple contacs at once, before you send and email? there must be a way

Please someone help me with these issue. I made my mum buy and ipad instead of a personal PC, promising it would make her life easier. She only use this device to send mails to hers friends. She its complaining that every time she has to send a mail, she spends 5 minutes choosing the contacts she want, one by one (instead of leting her chose the ones he like in a row and the clik add just ONE time)

There are a few things you can do. The first is hit reply all to an old email (assuming that this is the same group of friends each time) and just delete the content a type a new email. This way you don't have to type in any addresses. The second is that you could create distribution lists using the Notes app. This way you can create multiple groups of friends for different emails. What you would do is create a new note and at the top write Group A or whatever you want to name it. Then type all of the email addresses of the people you want to email. Save that and when you want to email those people go to the notes app and double tap on a word to bring up the copy/paste slider. Copy all the email addresses (make sure when you type them you separate them the same way the Mail app does) and paste them into the To: field of the message. This can be done for multiple groups of friends by writing different notes. If each email is to a completely different set of people, I am afraid not much can be done.

My apps are invisible, it switches from the iTunes to the Reminder's app. They still work perfectly fine it's just that it's invisible, or at least I can't see it on the screen anymore. The only thing that shows is the name of the app at the bottom.

IMporting multiple albums at once: sort on date added AND album or artist

When importing multiple albums at once, iTunes ads them in the library in an all mixed up order.
This makes it very annoying to change song info. I have to multi-select songs from the same album (clicking while pressing the control button) and then change stuff.
1. Why can't iTunes automaticaly keep tracks from the same album together when adding new music from multiple albums?
2. Why can't we sort by added date AND another column like artist or album?
any solutions are very welcome

The order iTunes is showing the tracks can be changed. Select the album column heading to get tracks list in album order. Normally within an album the tracks will list in track order when viewing this way.

Sorting TV Shows By Sow Name

OK, this is driving me nuts. On my iPad TV shows are now sorted by season, inside that season sub folder all the episodes are a mess. All I want it to open the video app and click on TV Shows and see each show by name, click on that show and see all my episodes. Instead I open the Season 1 folder and there are all of the season 1 shows in there in no particular order. Hopefully there is a simple fix. I have tried renaming the shows, filling in season information, removing season information, using the sorting tab in Get Information to put the show name but nothing seems to work.
Basically I want my shows on my iPad to mimic the way my TV shows look on my iMac iTunes
Any help would be much appreciated as this is making me lose my ****.

Exact same thing here. It's worse when multiple shows have the same sseason as it mixes them up inside the season folder.

Not really, but you can do it another way around...
Make the first track, set the end jump and hen duplicate the track twice. You do this by clicking on the track in the outline view panel, hold the Apple key, press 'D" on your keyboard.
The two new tracks should have the same attributes as the original, including the end jump, menu settings and so on. You can then add the different footage to these new tracks.
But - are you certain you ned two other tracks? Can you not use a single track and put all of your clips into that, then use stories to divide it up?
