Taglib (How formatting a date when you use a taglib)

Question

Hi!
I have used the following taglib to show the date in a jsp:
<td><c:out value='${my_object.date}'/></td> // (Where date is a Timestamp)
And i obtain:
2004-05-25 00:00:00.0
But i would like to obtain the following the same date in the following format:
25-05-2004
Somebody know how i could obtaint it?

Your answer was correct.....and it was usefull to me.....but there is a little mistake in the sintaxis:
The correct is using:
"formatDate " and not "date"
<%@ taglib prefix="fmt" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/fmt" %>
<fmt:formatDate value="${my_object.date}" type="date" datestyle="short"/>
or
<fmt:formatDate value="${my_object.date}" pattern ="dd/MM/yyyy"/>
