Take back and transfer

Hi All,
work in a call center using UCCE 7.5, have a company as a partner that want to start transfering calls to us using AT&T's Take back and transfer tech, Just wondering if I need any special configuration in my side to recevied this calls
thank you
-X

It is fully supported and I have it working in many UCCE deployments, if you need to transfer any calls via TnT simply use dynamic label and include the *8 string as prefix or whatever the provider is expecting.

  • CVP take back and transfer and ANI override

Hello. We're building a contact center with UCCE and CVP 8.5. The call flow requires the call to be trasnferred out to an external 800# number and then transfer back for agent. Some calls will also need to be transferred out to third party companies when the contact center agent couldn't handle the call.  Now during all the transfer out and back into the call center we need to preserve the original caller ANI. We plan to use take back and transfer feature from CVP but I have two questions here.
    1. If the initial main number coming into the call center is not  toll free but DID number, will CVP take back and transfer works with the carrier such as AT&T? I thought that only toll free number can support TNT but not DID.
    2. Can CVP override ANI in above scenario as an alternative approach? What needs to be done on carrier or the destination party side for this feature?
Anyone has implemented a TNT or override ANI? Is there a document explaining how to do this?
    Thanks a lot.

    Couple of thoughs here :
    As to whether TNT works with the specific lines you have, you'll need to work out with your telco as already advised, the ANI would probably be retained though given how it works;
More importantly, TNT transfers won't do what you need, a TNT transfer releases the call from CVP's control. It is essentially a blind transfer, telling the ingress gateway to send some DTMF tones to your Service Provider asking them to pull the call back from your gateway. You'd then need 'the other destination' to send the call back to you when they're done and you'd lose call context even if they did ...
    What you really need then is a CVP controlled transfer, essentially CVP starts a new outgoing call to where you specify and through the Post Call survey feature or similar you could have the call re-enter your routing script when the remote call center is done;
    Probably worth mentioning : you would be billed for the outgoing call as it's originating from your gateway, I suppose special arrangements are possible there with telcos;
    I assume your goal is to present the customer's ANI to the 3rd party contact center, CVP will actually do that by default, i.e. the A number is preserved already;
Bigger question will be : will your telco allow you to present the customer's ANI on a call that's coming out of your gateway, they typically configure some kind of CLID override, putting the ANI on your outgoing leg to one of your DID numbers to prevent you from spoofing your ANI, otherwise any prankster could pretend to be you ...
    Cheers,
    Kris

My co-worker has given me his iPod to take home and transfer his music to my laptop, however, I am unable to access his music to download it to my computer.  How does this work?

You need to transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup you made before the hard drive was replaced.
You can't transfer the full iTunes Library from the iPad back to iTunes.
There are third-party Windows applications that will transfer data from an iOS device, but they don't re-create the iTunes Library exactly as it was before.

  • Is it possible to purchase an iPad in the US, to take back and use in the UK

Is it possible to purchase an iPad in the US, and take back home to UK for use? I'm not sure if I would have to insert a UK sim into it, or if it would work as is.

In relation to the new Ipad with retina display Wi-Fi + Cellular version
After doing some research and speaking with various apple customer care representatives here in the UK the following is what I could find:
UK will be getting the A1460 model Ipad sold in the US (different mains adaptor).
Part number for the Ipad: MD522B/A
I also found the following IPAD A1460 models on the web from a website which seems to be written with Japanese characters
    http://www.speedbusiness.net/shop/products/list_314.html
    ■Apple iPad with RD 16GB MD525xx/A
    ■Apple iPad with RD 16GB  MD522xx/A
    ■Apple iPad with RD 32GB MD526xx/A
    ■Apple iPad with RD 32GB MD523xx/A
    ■Apple iPad with RD 64GB MD527xx/A
    ■Apple iPad with RD 64GB MD524xx/A
So you can see that the part number MD522B/A given to me by Apple UK tallies up with A1460 16GB cellular version.
Since you can use Ipad internationally with a local sim of the local country then Ipad A1460 bought from the US will work just fine in the UK. At the moment A1460 in the US is the Verizon/Sprint version if you don't know the model number. (So to clarify It is not locked to Sprint/Verizon (contrary to what I have been told by all the apple reps I spoke to here in the UK - Apple should at least train/inform their reps to say the right things)).
If you want data connection in the UK just get a sim card for Ipad from
    EE for 4g LTE connection
    or
T-mobile, Vodafone, 3, and etc for 3G+ connection.
The warranty is only relevant if the Ipad bough inthe US is different to what is sold in the UK. But from what I could find the parts are the same, i.e. screen, cover, battery, camera, etc. So if anything goes wrong you can go to Apple UK and they should fix it for you under warranty.
If you can get away with not paying customs charges then for example 32GB Wi-Fi + Cellular version comes to about about £490 ($720 + lets say 8.5% sales tax if bought in LA  and dividing the total by 1.589 conversion rate between $ and £ ). That is around £89 cheaper than the £579 for the same model sold in the UK.
Customs limit for importing without customs charge of a single item is £135 and it seems £390 collectively as pointed above. So anything above that in theory you should declare. But obviously that is not practical and customs don't question many of the items. So add up the shoes, jeans, and that digital camera you bought and do the maths.

  • Log and Transfer dropping or Off Lining Clips!

Folks, I need your help please.
I'm trying to Log and Transfer AVCHD files from an external HD. There are 6 Chips in total.
But when I Log and Transfer some Clips are not transferring over. EG. On 1 Chip there are 37 Clips. But only 28 were transferred. And there was no warning symbol indicating that the Clips were not transferred. It's only because I saw that there seemed to be far too few Clips in the Browser compared to the L&T window that I realised.
I can then go back and transfer them again. Sometime the transfer works. Sometimes not.
Another problem which I'm experiencing is that in the L&T process some Clips already transferred are randomly going off-line. But I can't go back and re-capture them - even though they are in the Capture folder.

Things now are just going from bad to surreally bad!
I deleted all the files from my Capture folder and started all over again.
I have 6 Chips and have set a BIN for each Chip.
I then Set Login BIN and Transfer the content of the Chip into the relevant BIN.
At first all seems to go well.
But then when I go into the BIN once all the AVCHD files have been Transferred to PR 422 LT all the Clips are muddled and jumbled up. EG I made sure that Chip 1 was Transferred fully and properly. But when I revisited it Clips 1 - 4 are nowhere to be found.
Chip 5 when transferring shows all the Clips have been transferred (Blue Circle is filled in) but instead of there being the 17 Clips that should be there there are only 6
What on earth am I doing wrong/is happening???

  • The hard disc of my laptop has crashed and i lost all the data. Now I want to take back up of my I phone and transfer contacts , messages and music back into my laptop , how can I do that. Pl help

The hard disc of my laptop has crashed and i lost all the data. Now I want to take back up of my I phone and transfer contacts , messages and music etc back into my laptop , how can I do that. Also let me know how I can transfer the contacts into Windows contacts from I phone. Pl help

Your content will only be where you put it.  It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer.  You should get the option to merge the data when you sync.

How can I transfer video taken with my iPhone to my iPad WITHOUT using a computer or iTunes? I'm going to Europe for a month and want to use my iPhone to take pics and video, then come back to the hotel room and use my iPad to edit/store each evening. I don't want to use my iPad to take the video...too large/bulky. And I WON'T have a computer with me...I purchased the iPad to take with me so I could use the RDC to my home computer and avoid taking my computer at all. Is this possible?

here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.

  • How can i take the pictures from my old ipod and transfer them onto my computer without deleting anything

How can I take the pics from my old ipod and transfer them onto my computer without deleting anything?

Pictures on an iPod are stored in a special format, optimized for the iPod's small lower resolution screen, to save storage space.  iTunes puts them into that format when syncing.  There is setting in iTunes, on the iPod's Photos screen (where you set up syncing of photos) for Include full resolution photos.  If that checkbox was checked when you synced the photos to the iPod, THEN you can Enable disk use and find those photo files on the iPod in the Photos folder.
Otherwise, you cannot get your photos back, using iTunes.  There may be third-party utilities that can extract individual photos from the iPod, but they will still be lower-resolution versions of the original photo.

  • How do i take the music from my ipod and transfer it permanently onto my PC's itunes?

How do i take the music from my ipod and transfer it permanently onto my PC's itunes?

If you were using a Mac you could use a program but AFAIK there is nothing similar yet for the PC.
However, you should have a backup of your music, correct? Just restore from that backup to your computer (and, if not, at least this will teach you the importance of always backing up your music purchases onto writable media like DVD).

  • How do I take a pdf out of my email and transfer it to adobe so I can print it off my pc?

How do I take a pdf out of my email and transfer it to adobe so I can print it off my pc?

    Hi Sandy,
    I'd like to assist!
I believe you are asking how to print a PDF from your email? If so, you can save a PDF file to your desktop like any other file (Word, Excel, etc). OR you can print the file directly from your email by opening the attachment and in the top left choosing the 'print' option.
Please let me know if this helps and do not hesitate to ask further questions if you have them!
Looking forward to hearing back from you.
    Kindest regards, Stacy

You don;t transfer them to itunes.
You import them to your computer as you would with any digital camera:

  • How do I network a 4yr old Macpro with the latest 15" Retina MBP for fast file transfer (back and forth)

    Hi
I have recently updated my equipment and now wish to use my MBP to edit files that currently reside on my old MacPro.
I have made a wifi connecting and also set up file sharing but both prove very slow and also - once the file is ready I cannot save it back to the orginal folder.
Basically, I have lots of stuff on my MacPro that is too big to take across, so all I wish to use my new machine and have the option to save back to the old machine as and when needed.
Can someone advise me on what I need to do, whether that be buy some cables to take advantage of thunderbolt, or any other good working solutions.
    many thanks
    Simon
I am also trying to copy over the font from the library but it says i cannot because of permissions.

If both computers have ethernet ports, that is a fast and inexpensive way to connect and transfer files. You will need an ethernet cable (cost a few $$), and you have to enable file sharing on both Macs.
As for the specifics of file transferring without Migration Assistant it depends on what you want to move. Address Book for example has Export and Import funcitonality. Safari too can import and export bookmrks, etc. etc.

I just got iphone 5c and i am not happy with it. It uses to much data and i don't even know how. I can't get the ringtones i want for my contacts.I got it on my free upgrade but i want to take it back and get something else but where i got it they say i can't because i don't have the earbuds and i have serches or them. now i am suck with a phone i don't like at all until my next upgrade. this is very dishearten

    1. If you are this unhappy with that phone, and the lost earbuds is the only thing stopping you from taking it back, why do not just buy some earbuds. That way you can get rid of that phone. It all depend upon how much you want to get rid of that phone.
    2. Yet if you are stuck with that iPhone, here is something might help you to control the data usage. By design, iPhones do turn off WiFi when they go dormant. So if a download is in progress and so forth when the phone goes dormant, it will switch to use cellular data, if this setting is left on. Therefore, from multi-sources I have learned that if you keep your iPhone connected to a power source, then it will stay connected to the available WiFi.

Ok, I had a glitch, forced to restart, and lost my train of thought.
Reinstalling iTunes should fix the major issue that might have gone wrong, perhaps your explaination points will disappear and everything will be peachy again.
But if they don't, you can open the XML file in iTunes Folder using a Text edit program to see what the common pathname is to the iTunes Music folder or where your content is located.
If you moved the itunes folder, it needs to go back.
I can't  download iTunes to my Vista virtual machine to test it out right now because iTunes is down, so I can't verify the pathname, perhaps your issue and the iTunes being down are related somehow?
You don't want to import all your music again, but it's a option, but you lose all your playlists, that's what I'm trying to recover.
If oyu don't have a whole lot of playlists, then simply select all the explaimation point music and delete, select File from the menu and import your itunes folder again.
