Tarantella Client Component Port Problem

hi,
i`m using tarantella on port 80 and aip ( i think ) with 5307 but if i want t o connect to my tarantella server with .../sgd/ i become port failures! the classic login works fine!

I think Sun is currently working on a "how to" manual for things like setting up security and getting all traffic to go over a single port (rather than having to be concerned with ports 80, 443, 3144, and 5307).
"All traffic" includes https traffic: the web pages, plus AIP traffic: the emulator sessions.
For now, I think these are the steps I followed to get everything working over port 443:
1) Obtain and install a security certificate:

2) at the command prompt, type "tarantella security start"
3) Configure firewall fordwarding:

You'll notice the instructions for configuring firewall forwading mention that you need to secure SOAP connections.

[solved] problems w/rich client component demo

I've been trying to run the rich client component demo as described in http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/adf/adffaces/11/doc/demo/adf_faces_rc_demo.html
in TP2 of JDeveloper 11. I've run into a few problems. (I am assuming that the article will work as written in TP2 since the date on the article is September 2007.)
(minor) The link to the demo under the "Running the Demo from Oracle JDeveloper" section is broken. The link in the section for "Installing the ADF Faces Component Demo on a Standalone OC4J" works.
Attempt #1: When I create the project from the WAR file and try to run index.jspx, JDev tries to compile the project. It shows the following errors:

Nevermind. I thought I had TP2 but I think it was really TP1. Creating (and running) the project from the WAR file works for me now.

Big problem to install Mobile Client Component 5.0

im trying to install the CRM Mobile Client Component 5.0, and im already stuck on the first installation screen, "Welcome to the installation of SAP CRM Mobile Client Component 5.0" Please press the "Next" button to continue installation.....THERE IS NO NEXT BUTTON, no buttons to be seen
anyone has encountered this problem? how to solve this

Hi,
These issues can occur if you are not installing CRM Mobile on an clean system (without any SAP installation done on that machine before). Run windows installer cleanup utility to remove any installed SAP CRM Mobile software, reboot the system, check for s/w and h/w pre-requisites and start the installation.

Binding to Faces Client Component (Tree view)

Hi experts,
I am trying to build a hierarchical tree and display it in a page.
The data I need to display is hierarchical.

/B/1
etc....
I need to display the above data in a tree format. I am using Rational Application Developer.
The problem is, I can t figure out in what way I have to store the data in the bean making it available to the page, and in what way I have to bind it to the faces tree - client component.

Reference your UIData component in the a backing bean.
In the action event handler, for one of the columns,
you can call UIData.getRowData() and it will return the object

Some help needed for installation of rich client component runtime demo

i have dwnld the demo and also read the Instructions
And while installing it asks jre/java path and my jdk is intalled in this path C:/Program Files/Java/jdk1.6.0_27/bin/
And i have typed the same path with java.exe at the last but it its says Insert a valid path.
How can i give the correct path.
And the another question is that, i have jDeveloper 11g 11.1.1.5.0 installed with Weblogic Server, does the installation package also contains WLS or only the war file?

the file i downloaded was over 900MB. So i want to know that it contained WLS also or the war file was so big as i have WLS installed. And the compressed archive had two folders named Disk 1 and Disk 2 and the Disk 1 had an exe file and when i run the file a command prompt like windows opens. At this point the path is asked.
So to directly download the war file i searched google and i got a link to this page

Duplicating de confirmation for Clients with credit problems

Hi,
We are using GATP to confirmed the sales orders quantities. In the check instructions,
we are using check availability and then RBA (product substitution)
When I create a sales order for a client with credit problems the confirmed quantity
is being duplicated after releasing the order.
The steps I am following are next:
1.        VA01: create sales order (i.e: order product D 10 PC, I got 10 PC of product E confirmed because of the RBA)
2.        VKM3: Release the order
3.        VA03: display the sales order
(it duplicates the lines with confirmed quantity - i.e: I got line 10: product D 0 PC confirmed; line 11: product E 10 PC confirmed; line 12: product E 10 PC confirmed, so line 12 is repeating line 11)
We have explore any issues related to the availability check, but it seems to be a problem with the configuration of the credit processing.
Have you ever had this issue? Any recommendation to solve it?

MI Client Component on Desktop PC

Hi all,
i'm currently evaluating MI for building an relatively complex application for a customer. Many of the major application requirements like offline usage, own database (business logic), data sync on demand with multiple backends, Browser based UI etc. pp. are already fulfilled by MI.
The only doubt i have so far is, that most of the devices in the productive system will not be PDAs nor Laptops, but "standard" Desktop PCs.
So my question is:
Are there reasons not to use the MI client component on Desktop PCs like limitations which apply to mobile devices and would not be acceptable for Desktop PCs?

Hi Gregor,
it's simply a matter of customer's application requirements and license model. The application has to work offline and online. Parts of it will be transferred to PDAs in the future (also working in both modes). If the application license expires, the user must have the possibility to view the application data in the client database for 10 more years without having the possibility to access the centralized data store. The user can reactivate his account and more.
So instead of reinventing the wheel i'm thinking about using the MI Client Component as client's infrastructure for that.

Client communication port for workgroup servers

We have SCCM 2012 R2 Single Primary Site in intranet. We have PKI with ADCS 2012. We are in process of mirating to HTTPS communication using certificates. We have few servers in workgroup and we plan to manage those servers with configuration manager by
manually installing client and specifying smsmp=sccm fqdn. for lookup management point.
Can we change client communication port for these servers?
For successful client communication do we need to open any ports except 443 in firewall?
What all ports needed to be open in this scenario?

You configure the Communications port for the MP in the site so they must use the same ports, you can configure alternate ports so if it cannot communicate on port 443 it tries the next port.

443 is sufficient, the client will also try to communicate on port 10123 for Client Notification,

Port Problem, cant Recieve Mail

Just recently my mail has stopted working due to a port problem. By my inbox i get a small icon which is a triangle with an explanation mark in. When i click it the first message i get is:
*Connection Failed*
+There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Check the settings for account "POP Account" or try again.+
+The server error encountered was: The connection to host mail.kahane.co.uk on port 110 failed.+
Then it willl give me a chice to go offline or online, ill click online and the icon is still there so i click the icon again and the second message i get is:

Hi,
you can use any other Java IDE for this and just work with the properly configured tag libary and the required settings in web.xml. However, since Developer Suite 10g is 10.1.2, you can't use the components unless your form runs on a platform that supports JavaEE 1.5

SCCM Client Push Ports

I need to understand more on SCCM 2012 Client push ports. I am pushing the client from primary site server.
As per MS, it’s recommended to have SMB open between site server and client systems.
My client is accepted to open SMB port (one way) between site servers to client. They are not accepting to open SMB between Clients to Site server.
I need your suggestion to have below network firewall ports are ok to work on client push.

I am running weblogic workshop and I keep getting the following error on the console
window:

Anyone know what it mean?

Content Transfer between WSUS and SCCM client on port 8530

Dear All
In my environment from last few days we are facing an strange situtaion where huge contents is getting transferred between WSUS server and SCCM client on port 8530.
I check logs on client and found that client are getting contents from their associated DP's but still weekly network utlisation report showing that data in GB's was transferred between SCCM primary server and clients on port 8530.
Kindly suggest what else need to check in this scenario

The only other possible traffic from WSUS is actual updates if and only if you have been approving updates directly in WSUS which you should not be doing.
Thus, assuming you are not doing what you should not be doing, the only possibility is the update catalog. 150-200MB sounds excessive but that will be based upon what you all have selected for your catalog. There are also a handful of reasons why a full
catalog resync would be initiated instead of just a delta.

Portege R835 USB 3.0 port problem (Shutdown everytime)

Hello,
The problem is that the USB 3.0 port continues to turn off shortly after connecting any device (mouse, usb memory, printer...).
The only way to restore it's functionality is to reboot. I have continued to have this problem since I bought the computer.
There is no issue with the 2 USB 2.0 ports.
I have bios 3.0, win 7 64bit home premium.
Few other people have address the same problem here before but I didn't see any solution.
Please Help!
