  • Including the unbounded task flow pages to a template content region

    I have a template with a left and content region.All the pages are linked through an unbounded task flow. On clicking on the left menu options I need to include the unbounded task flow views to the content region. Is there any way to accomplish this ?
    jsp:include is a way to do this ?. I need to change the pageview onclicking on the left menu .It should work like an iframe in html.That means somehow I need to invoke http://127.0.0.1:7101/RMEWebApps-PlsSuiteWeb-context-root/faces/test through the jsp include or using some other mechanism in the content region
    How can I do this ?
    Thanks

    This is an integration project. We do have an application already using unbounded task flow.We have some other projects as well using regions and bounded task flows. We need to create a frame work so that we can navigate to different projects from the main project.
    What should be the best design approach for integration
    1) Import ADF lib jar files of other projects to main project.Create an unbounded task flow linking all unbounded task flows and create a menu out of that which will link to different projects in the main project
    2) Convert all unbounded task flows to bounded task flows and link the pages.Import ADF lib jar files of other projects to main project.Create a region in main project and dynamically change the region by refreshing it.

  • How to access and set the object attributes in a task flow?

    I have created a web service data control which has an operation having input as payload object. This payload object has two attributes min and max. I am calling a task flow in a dynamic region in which I want to display result of this operation for which i have to set the values for min and max. I want to set these values when I click the taskflow link. How to achieve this? I am new to adf.

    Hi Arun,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I have tried passing parameter to a task flow, but i cannot set the action to a task flow call because it already has action for a method in a dynamic region which renders the task flow at runtime. How do i set action to task flow call link? Also once i get the parameters into the page flow scope variables, i want to pass those to one of my data control operation which displays the result in that taskflow.(i dont want to create parameter form for this operation).

  • ADF mobile: how to link task flow to a list view item

    Hi
    I am trying to build a mobile app in adf and i created a popup on the left button on the header. this popup has a list view showing few options.
    now the requirement is to click on the option and navigate to that feature (which is created as a task flow).
    so, i am not sure how do like the task flow to the link in the listView of the popup. Please advise

    Well, if that list contains all features, you can use the 'features' from the ApplicationFeatures DC (they contain the ID, name, ... so you can use #{row.id} instead of hardcoding it).
    If that list does only contain a few features, you can make your own list.
    In your own backing bean or data control, you can get all the features by using:
            ApplicationFeatures af = new ApplicationFeatures();
            af.getFeatures();And filter them.
    An example that I made/use myself:
    It uses an commandLink to navigate because I need to be able to 'disable' (= not clickable) some features (it has the same look as an ListView).
    So iff just use the getFeatures(), you can use the ListView for navigation.

  • Redirect from task-flow to an external link

    Hi,
    From a bounded task-flow I have to use an ePayment virtual system. I have some parameters to fill and call an external link. One of those parameters is the ReturnURL when the payment system will return after finishing the Credit Card payment.
    I am confuse about what to give to ReturnURL variable if the call is from a task-flow. Note that I need the return to be in a specific View inside the task-flow to let me modify/add some value to the DataBase.
    getHeader did not work because it gives the following:
    request.getHeader("Referer");
    http://localhost:7101/TasdeeqApp/faces/member-task-flow/certifyDocument?_adf.ctrl-state=12oyjcx0ho_27
    Any idea about how to develop this type of external payment server using ADF-faces?
    Task-Flow------->https://XXXX---->Back to a specific View inside the Task-Flow
    Thank you
    Jamil
    Edited by: Jamil Nour on Sep 20, 2010 6:47 AM

    Hi Jamil,
    First of all in your case as you want to return to the page in ADF from the epayment, you must to use the UN-bounded task flow with a page that has bookmark flag==true in order to be able to return to that page in your UN-bounded task flow.
    But if you are insist to use the bounded task flow when creating that task flow in the create page un-check the property use-page-fragment.
    then, drag a page ->.jsp not .jsff on that bounded task flow and when you run that page from bounded task flow you will see the address.
    use that address for the return-path.
    http://127.0.0.1:7101/test-forum-ViewController-context-root/faces/adf.task-flow;jsessionid=vGtgMYGSnFdyv1LQXhJ1yQ69MWT26ppvVJQdZTRyzKStrs5L2kHq!-448081696?adf.tfId=*task-flow-definition1*&adf.tfDoc=*/WEB-INF/task-flow-definition1.xml*&_afrLoop=1003390740777&_afrWindowMode=0&_afrWindowId=null
    those with bold is what the parameter must be included when you just right-click on the page on the bounded task flow and run it you will see the URL. just use that URL.
    But if you want to use page fragment to be included in the popup in the page it is not possible to return to them.
    to complicate the situation I have to add another problem that when you want to return to a page in the bounded task flow that page must be only the Entry point (the page with a green hollow around it) if you want to return to a page in the middle of the Task Flow you must use a router in the First Entry and that router base on some parameter from Request decide that go to which page.
    if you think this senario complecated just drop me an email and I will create a test case for you.
    another issue to consider is the property of adf.ctrl-state=16d41j3t8n4* generally when you want to return to an ADF application if you do not specify the exact adf.ctrl parameter to the URL when you want to return to ADF you will face some problem, to clarify the issue when you login to a ADF applicaiton a adf.ctrl parameter is generated that hold the user specific parameter when you leave ADF and want to return to ADF again, as you not login again(create fresh session), you want to continue your last session, you must return to ADF application with same value for ADFctrl.
    I hope this issues give you the idea. ;)

  • Creation an ADF Task Flow Based on a Human Task

    Hello!
    While creating ADF Task Flow Based on a Human Task, I can't bind New TaskFlow to task, which I choose in Dialog.
    Details:
    I Have:
    BPM Project with PackageCreation.task
    ADF Project in Same Application
    I do:
    1. in Application Navigator right click on ADF Project -> New -> Web Tier -> JSF -> ADF Task Flow Based on a Human Task
    in creation Dialog I choose PackageCreation.task and Don't change name of New TaskFlow (automatically JDeveloper set this name to PackageCreation_TaskFlow)
    I have After that:
    new ADF Task Flow and my old PackageCreation.task.
    Question:
    Why my Task don't bind to created ADF task Flow based on it?
    I think, that while creating ADF Task Flow Based on a Human Task it has to change my task, writing some thing like This (inside xml):
    <taskFlowFileLocation>file:/D:/JDeveloper/mywork/SalesQuoteLab/EnterQuoteUILab/public_html/WEB-INF/EnterQuoteDetails_TaskFlow.xml</taskFlowFileLocation>
    That xml element is creating in xml of *.task, while making auto-generation form for human task in BPM Project.

    Juan C,
    I use JDeveloper 11g Release 1.
    May be I didn't explained my question correctly.
    taskdetails1 is creating, and in Data Controls I have objects of my BPM Human Task Payload.
    But in that file "PackageCreation.task" in source I can't find any link to instantly created TaskFlow.xml in my UI project.
    So, I have
    NEW project "PackageCreationUI" with PackageCreation_TaskFlow.xml in it (and TaskDetails1 file too).
    AND Did't Changed PackageCreation.task in BPM Project.
    If I use *"BPM form creation wizard"*, after creating project and TaskFlow in it I see Changes in PackageCreation.task in BPM Project, something like that:
    <taskFlowFileLocation>file:/C:/JDeveloper/mywork/testApp/PackageCreationUI/public_html/WEB-INF/PackageCreation_TaskFlow.xml</taskFlowFileLocation>

  • Unable to pass parameter value from a Task flow to a Portlet

    Hi All,
    I'm using Jdev 11.1.1.6.0 and created a simple ADF application with one Taskflow which contains one JSF page to display the User details from the default LDAP configured within the Integrated Weblogic Server. The Taskflow have one Parameter to accept the User Email Id as input. Based on the given input value, we will fetch the User details from Weblogic server and display in the JSF Page. I created a portlet out of Taskflow by "Create Portlet Entry" and deployed it onto Integrated Weblogic server.
    Portlet works well when executed standalone for the given User Email Id values as input.
    Then I created a webcenter Application, On a page, there is a task flow that contains a form with one input text field and one Submit button, and a portlet (that displays the User details from LDAP) that listens for user input from the form. Clicking the Submit button sends the user entered texts to the listening portlet. This is a combination of contextual events established by the producer (task flow) and the wiring of the portlet based parameters from within the consuming page definition file.
    The taskflow page which contains the form with Submit button, within the page defintion file contains an event binding (submitEventBinding) and a contextual based event (submitEvent). This event is tied to the ActionListener of the commandButton.
    After added both the task flow and the portlet onto a page, I have subscribed to the contextual event of the task flow, and completed the wiring of the Taskflow and Portlet events together.
    But in the Form, when I enter the User Email Id in the input filed and click the Submit button, I'm getting the below error -

  • How to use a menu model with a dynamic region and a task flow parameter

    I am using JDeveloper/ADF 11.1.2.1
    I have a menu model that changes which task flow is displayed in a given dynamic region using a backing bean. That works fine. I would like to be able to pass parameters to that task flow based on which menu item is clicked. For example: i have a task flow which shows a page where input fields are used to filter a table. Depending on the value of the task flow parameter I want to change which input fields are displayed. So i will have multiple menu items which refer to the same task flow but have a different set of parameters. I have tried using request scope variables and setting them in the backing bean for the dynamic region which works until the query is submitted at which point the request scope has changed and the value is no longer available. I have tried a number of other 'creative' approaches but have not gotten anything to work. Anyone done this before? Or have an idea on how to solve it?

    Frank,
    I did a fair bit of digging based on your suggestions and some things I found in your Oracle Fusion Developer's Guide book and I came up with something that works really well. It is fairly elegant but requires code. It would be nice if something like a setPropertyListener could be rolled into the menu model. That would make my solution completely declarative.
    Here is my solution:
    My task flow requires a the value #{pageFlowScope.type} to be set. My application has a dynamic region that is changed on the fly using a menu model. The region uses a backing bean (mainRegionManagerBean) which is in the viewScope to manage what taskflow is shown in the region. There are multiple menu items in the menu model that point to the same task flow but pass different values to the #{pageFlowScope.type} parameter. So i wired the menu items up to different methods in the mainRegionManagerBean which set the value for me. See the relevant code below.
    I would be very interested in the feedback from someone with more experience than I on my solution. Maybe there is a more elegant way...
    In the backing bean there is a primary method that was created by generating a dynamic region link which sets the task flow id and then other methods which call it and set the relevant parameters. (JSFUtils is a helper class i wrote to centralize some common tasks):
    public String shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow()
    taskFlowId = "/WEB-INF/taskflow/master/shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow.xml#shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow";
    JSFUtils.setValue("pageFlowScope.type", "");
    return null;
    public String shipmentTraceProNumber()
    shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow();
    JSFUtils.setValue("pageFlowScope.type", "pronumber");
    return null;
    public String shipmentTraceBOLNumber()
    shipmentTraceMasterTaskflow();
    JSFUtils.setValue("pageFlowScope.type", "bolnumber");
    return null;
    In the menu model (notice that these reference the different methods from above):
    <itemNode id="itemNode_ProNumberTrace" label="ProNumber Trace" action="#{viewScope.mainRegionManagerBean.shipmentTraceProNumber}" focusViewId=""/>
    <itemNode id="itemNode_BOLNumberTrace" label="BOL Number Trace" action="#{viewScope.mainRegionManagerBean.shipmentTraceBOLNumber}" focusViewId=""/>
    On the page:
    <af:region value="#{bindings.dynamicRegion1.regionModel}" id="r1"/>

  • Single task flow with multiple tabs not working properly in UIShell

    Hi,
    I am using the UIShell Dynamic tabs concept. Here am creating the task flow with a fragment which am binding to the backing bean. if am trying to open the same task flow in two tabs.the getter of backing bean are calling for both tabs when am opening the second tab.
    Please provide me any solution or why backing bean getter is firing for the first tab even i opened the second tab.
    Reg,
    Brahma B.

    There are a few problems that I have noticed so far.
    Line #1 <!doctype html5> is not recognised, hence the page will revert back to HTML 4.01 Transitoinal. It should read <!doctype html>
    Line #51 (links to) style rules should be placed in the <head> element, not in the <body> element
    Lines #124, #159 and #188 all link to the same JS file. Delete two of them.
    Lines #126, #161 and #207 contain a constructor for the same widget. The former two should be deleted.
    Lines #190 and #208 contain a constructor for the same widget. The former should be deleted
    Although JS can be placed anywhere in a document, I tend to place all JS at the bottom, just above the ending body tag (</body>) unless the JS is required for rendering purposes in which case it should be placed where it is required. This way, you can keep check of what you have linked to and which constructors you have created thus eliminating the problems mentioned above.
    Also you might like to have a look at a collapsible panel group http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry/samples/collapsiblepanel/CollapsiblePanelGroupSamp le.html. This will simplify the code somewhat.

  • ADF Task Flow based on HumanTask - Region withiin Task form

    Hello All,
    Was wondering if anybody here has sucessfully used region in their human task forms? I really like the idea of regions and after going through the tutorial here* I tired to implement it.
    Following are some additional details of the issue I'm facing.
    I have created a UI project based on a human task. The main <human task>_taskFlow.xml is bounded and non-fragmented. I then dropped 'view' component within this task flow and create a blank jspx page underneath. I then dragged and droped another bounded and fragmented task flow (which is also a train) on to this jspx page. The 2nd task flow has some jsff pages in a train. When I deploy run this bpm project,I can't see train form within the region and I get following Null Pointer Exception on the server:
    java.lang.NullPointerException

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Update: After struggling with it almost whole day, I recreated the UI project and the problem has gone away.

  • How to deploy a new ADF task flow in OIM 11g R2

    Hi,
    I have created a new ADF task flow.
    Now I need to deploy the same in OIM 11g R2, so that when I click on a link it will call my new ADF task flow.
    Please help me in identifying the steps required to deploy the adf task flow.
    Thanks

    Hi Durga,
    Thanks for sharing the post. I think I am facing the same issue which you were facing.
    I have already done these steps but still not able to get my custom page on click of a link which I created in OIM self service page :
    1. I have created the adflibHomepagePortletsUI.jar as an adf library using Jdeveloper and copied it to oracle.iam.ui.custom-dev-starter-pack.war --> WEB-INF/lib folder after unpacking it.
    2. have updated the custom-catalog.xml file inside oracle/adf/rc/metadata folder with the below lines :
    <folder name="Sample Folder" id="sampleFolder">
    <contents>
    <resource id="helloWorld" name="Hello World"
    description="Hello World Taskflow Reference"
    repository="application.classpath"
    path="adflibHomepagePortletsUI.jar/ADF_TaskFlow/WEB-INF+oracle+iam+ui+sample+homepage+tfs+hello-world-tf.xml#hello-world-tf">
    <attributes>
    <attribute value="coreDefault" attributeId="attr.background" isKey="false"/>
    </attributes>
    </resource>
    </contents>
    </folder>
    3. repacked the war file and copied it in OIM_HOME/server/apps directory
    4. Restarted the OIM server.
    5. entered the following lines in jazn-data.xml present in user_projects\domains\idmdomain\servers\oim_server1\tmp\_WL_user\oracle.iam.console.identity.self-service.ear_V2.0\6bddg\META-INF\jazn-data.xml
    <permission>
    <class>oracle.adf.controller.security.TaskFlowPermission</class>
    <name>/WEB-INF/oracle/iam/ui/sample/homepage/tfs/hello-world-tf.xml#hello-world-tf</name>
    <actions>view</actions>
    </permission>
    5. Login to self service console.
    6. Click on the custom link who's actionListener is pointing to bean which is launching the taskflow created in the above steps.
    7. On Click of the link a new tab gets open with blank page.
    Please help me in knowing the step which I am missing in order to solve this issue.
    Many thanks once again.

  • Possible to use menuBar with task flow based ADF menus?

    Hello -
    I've just worked through the " [Create ADF Menus for Page Navigation|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/11/cuecards111/adf_set_43/ccset43_ALL.html] " tutorial. It shows how to create menus based on your task flows.
    My question: is it possible to use the af:menuBar with these menu models (instead of navigationPanes or breadcrumbs) ?
    I am using JDev 11g 11.1.1.1.0
    Thanks.

    Hi,
    The XML menu model extends the Trinidad TreeModel, which extends Collection model. This allows you to access the hierarchical menu structure so that you can use af:iterator to build a structure to display in a af:menuBar

  • ADF Task Flow: Using Task Flow Call as Application Entry Point

    In our product we have a task flow structure very similar to the Fusion Order Demo application, but we are having serious trouble reproducing the documented functionality of ADF Task Flows.
    Specifically, we cannot use a task flow call as an entry point for our application, which is very important for us to achieve.
    The [Developer s Guide|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/taskflows.htm#ADFFD1634] states about the [demo application|http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/samples/fod/index.html] :
    "A Fusion web application always contains an ADF unbounded task flow, which contains the entry point or points to the application. Figure 14-3 displays the diagram for the unbounded task flow from the Fusion Order Demo Application. This task flow contains the Home, *MyOrders*, *checkout*, registerUser, and updateUserInfo *view activities, which are all entry points to the application*."
    "The checkout-task-flow activity in Figure 14-3 is a call to an ADF bounded task flow."
    When we run the Fusion Demo Application, we are only able to use home, updateUserInfo and register as entry points.
    We cannot enter the application through any of the task flow call activities (MyOrders and checkout) as the documentation suggests.
    What are the reasons for this and how do we fix it, so we can use task flow call activities as application entry points?
    Thanks.
    Edited by: Rune Glerup on Oct 9, 2009 2:51 AM
    The forum did not display the link to "Developer's Guide" because the link contained the single quote char '. Single quote char removed.

    Is what you mention here the case in the Fusion Order Demo application?
    If the task flow call activities cannot be used as entry points, why is it stated in the documentation?
    How do we solve this, so that the task flow call activities (including parameter bindings) can be used as entry points, like the documentation suggests?

  • Human Task Flow conflict on Data Controls generation

    Hi, I have two distinct human tasks in one process. When I use new-> JSF-> ADF task flow from Human task to create the task flow for the second task to the same public-html/web-INF folder as the first one, after the generation, the data control for the first human task flow will disappear from the data control window.
    I am trying to rebuid my old app into a new app. Although I can create two distinct human task flows in my old app, no luck in the new app. Both apps use JDev 11.1.1.5 and on the same machine. Anybody can give me some hints on the issue?
    Thank you

    Juan C,
    I use JDeveloper 11g Release 1.
