Task termination due to sending of out of box email templates

Hi,
We are using custom templates to notify end user during creation, group approval and deletion process. Handling of proper template has taken care in workflow.
Instead of deleting the Out of box templates, the smtp address has changed to "1.0.0.0", to make sure end user won't receive these templates even its triggered by mistake.
In group approval scenario during update of a user, approver is getting an email notification through custom template and workitem is adding into approver's bin but randomly observing that the task is getting terminated with error message "javax.mail.SendFailedException: Sending failed; nested exception is: javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host: 1.0.0.0, port: 25; nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect".
This could be due to IDM sending default templates (as SMTP host: 1.0.0.0 is present only in default templates).
Due to this no action is getting executed upon the group approval request approved by the approver as main update task itself has terminated ( it makes sense).
Workflow trace shows task has executed fine with no errors.
Can any one help us why out of box templates is kicked off though custom templates names were set in workflow??
Is there a mapping of templates with scenario similar to form and process mapping??
Is deletion of out of box templates affect the system as we no where using??

    Save the Word document. Create your email in your normal mail application (Mail?), click on the add attachment icon (the paperclip if you are using Mail). Navigate to where you saved the Word file and select it. It should now appear as an attachment in your email. If you are sending it to a PC user and you are using Mail make sure 'Send Windows-friendly attachments' is selected in the edit menu. And if you don't want the attachment to display inline within the body of the email Control+Click on it and select 'view as icon'.

    As I understand, you are encountering the issue that Workflow Manager Backend service terminating each time. May I know did you run the update cmdlets after you installed the updates for SharePoint server 2013? Please confirm it per the link below:

    If you haven’t run the updates cmdlets, I suspect this is an install issue. I’d suggest you re-install workflow manager to resolve the issue:
    1) Leave WFM/SB Farm
    2) Uninstall updates and application in the following order and one at a time:

    Workflow Manager CU1
    Service Bus 1.0
    Workflow Manager 1.0
    Workflow Manager Client 1.0
    Microsoft Windows Fabric
    3) Log into SQL server and delete Service Bus and Workflow Manager databases.

    The receiver Communication Chennel is a  SOAP Adapter. This is adapter used for splitting messages on the Integration Server. The error has appeared after updating with SP18 on the SP19 for SAP PI 7.0

    My messages is very small. It's 19302 byte. This problem has appeared after installation SP19.
    I used note 870864 and [http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/12/5dd23aaad7b3408dde3c1577fda5b3/frameset.htm] for the stoping and starting Integration Server.
    Also problem has appeared  with Receiver SOAP Adapter. Messages  stoped in the Communication Chennal with "SOAP: call failed: java.lang.NullPointerException" errors.

    I would like to be able to read in a 1 Hz file and use the format into string and send it out at 1 Hz to a signal generator to vary the levels to match a timestamp. I was trying to use the format into string but I can't figure out how I could read in this file.

    If the file is a .csv file as you said in your other post, then you should just be able to use Read From Spreadsheet File, making sure to set the delimiter to comma rather than tab. If it's a small file, you can just read in the whole thing, then use a loop with a Wait For Millisecond Multiple node (the metronome) to send the data once every second.
    If the file is very large, and you don't want to read it all at once, you can tell the Read From Spreadsheet File node to read only one line at a time. Put the read node and the data sending node in the same While loop, and use a shift register to carry the Mark After Read value from one iteration into the Offset or Mark At Start terminal in the next iteration. That way, you start reading each line at the end of the previous one. Use some form of flow control (such as a Stacked Sequence Structure) to make sure things happen in the right order - read data, wait for the right time, send data.

    I am having a real problem with Crystal Reports in an application built using Visual Studio 2013.
    Sometimes (in fact nearly all the time, but not always) whenever I call PrintToPrinter, I get the following error:-

    I have two projects that wrap the functionality, one a Windows Service and the other a Console application.
    I will attach a sample of my code, but at the moment I am testing using the console application for testing and this error always terminates the application completely. I have added all sorts of exception handling to try and stop it terminating the app, but to deal with the exception gracefully. Nothing however works, it always terminates the application completely.
    The strange thing is that this only happens when calling PrintToPrinter. If I use export functionality such as ExportToStream, everything is absolutely fine and I don't get any errors.
    The application always works fine on my development machine as well printing to an Epson WF-3540, it just falls over when deployed to the live server.
    The application is developed in Visual Studio 2013.
    It uses .NET Framework 4.5.1.
    The printer that we are printing to that causes the issue is an HP LaserJet P3010 Series PCL 6
    All Crystal Reports For Visual Studio are patched to the latest versions on the live server (13.0.5.891)
    I am at a complete loss and any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.

    Hi I have a table and I have the headings:

    Location
    I want another column to say Status and under that i want the cells to say something like this:
    If the "date" cell = within two days from today then cell = urgent, if not cell = normal.
    Basically I want a cell to query the Date cell and if it is within two days from the current date it will say ugrgent if not it will be empty or say normal.
    I have no idea where to start looking for formulas to help me with this.

    ...and it's right. In fact there are several.
    IF must have either 2 or 3 arguments, separated by commas. Each comma that Numbers comes to is interpreted as a separator between the end if one argument and the beginning of the next. Here's the syntax (with all three arguments):
    IF(condition,do-if-TRUE,do-if-false)
    Except in the case where the condition is checking a cell that can contain only TRUE or FALSE, the condition is a comparison statement and will contain one (or two) of the comparison operators, <, >, or =.
    So the first cause of a syntax error message is twofold: the commas after most of the C references, and the lack of a comparison operator in the first condition.
    Most of the others are cases of extra commas or parentheses in the wrong places. More on that below.
    There are also some logic errors in your formula.
    The last condition in the formula is "C<TODAY". That test will never be applied. If it's TRUE that the due date (C) is before TODAY(), then it is also before TODAY()+1 and before TODAY()+2.
    you need to write and/or arrange the tests so that when test 5 (for example) is TRUE, all of tests 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be FALSE. If you are going to use "less than..." (a test that becomes TRUE when a certain date is reached, and remains true for every date after that) as your comparison, then you need to arrange the tests in reverse order—the one that will become TRUE last must be the first to be tested. The alternative, and in this case, the better choice, is to use a comparison that is TRUE only on a single date, and FALSE before and after that date ( = ).
    When building a nested IF statement, I've found it's often useful to take it one step at a time using a new document set up just for that purpose. Here's an example, using the corrected version of your initial test in column D, and a range of 'due dates' extending from before to after the current date. TODAY() for tis chart is July 18, 2011.
    Column E contains the second part of your formula, copied directly from your post above, pasted into E2 after typing an equals sign, and with "Next test" inserted as the third argument. as can be seen, the syntax of the first two arguments is correct, but the logic is not. as the second test, this part will return "Tomorrow" for any due date prior to TODAY. The test will not occur for TODAY (as the first test has already returned "Due"), nor will it return "Tomorrow" if the due date actually is 'tomorrow' (July 19).
    Once you've got a working test for each condition, the last step is to combine them. decide on an order for which the tests TRUE on only one date (comparison operator is = ) come before the ones true on many dates (comparison operator(s) include > or < ), then put then together.
    Start with the one that will come first. then select all of "Next test" (including the quotation marks) and paste in all of the next test (not including the initial = sign that tells Numbers 'this is a formula'). continue in this manner until you paste the last test. Replace the last "Next test" with "Normal" (or with "" if you want the cell to appear blank when none of the preceding conditions is TRUE).

    You could use WF in a different way.
    1. Create a WF "When modified record saved" with the condition [<DueDate>]-Today() = 1 (or any value depending on your requirement)
    2. Create an email notification.
    3. Here is the tricky part. You will have to do something to the records that have due date less than today and maybe not completed. Write a simple WS to query for these records and update some field to the same value (say any field that doenst make much difference even if updated).
    The WS will trigger the WF rule.

    First, what you said is contradictory. You say "can't get a video signal", then say"the Mac wallpaper is broadcast, the mouse pointer is visible". "No video signal" means an absolutely black,blank screen. It sounds like you have plenty of signal.
    I am supposing what you are seeing is actually a blank desktop, which is to be expected if your settings are such that you are extending the desktop, instead of mirroring it.
    Within the preference panes is a setting that allows you to change this. Open System Preferences, click Displays, and then click Arrangement. You will see that you are extending the desktop. Change that setting.

  • As of 1:00pm Thursday, 3/1/12, I am no longer receiving any email, nor can I send anything out from my account. I am OS4.1.1, hoping to upgrade next week to Leopard (because my mac is not Intel-based), but in the meantime, it's non-functional.

    Is anyone else having problems with the email? I am not receiving any emails, nor can I send anything out. Spent 30 minutes on online chat last night with someone most unhelpful, only to be told that the reason I'm not receiving anything is because my email is being forwarded to another address. I set my preferences to do that several years ago when this mac.com/me.com server began having so many issues, to ensure I was receiving email so I could check from my other address. The only comment I got was well, we no longer support 10.4.1 so there isn't anything we can do to help you. The status update says 33% of their customers are unable to migrate. So I'm pretty sure I'm not alone and that is a pretty large base of customers to no longer provide support to. Is anyone else who has not migrated to iCloud experiencing these email problems? Currently my iDisk works to transfer my larger files, but my email does not.

    I think they're slowly nudging people to switch, .mac & MobileMe are going away about July, may as well set it up now.
    I understand .mac mail will still come through.
    iCloud Mail setup, do not choose .mac or MobileMe as type, but choose IMAP...

    2) Slice up your newsletter design in segments for images and html areas with the slice tool.

    4) export as generic html 4 code, and put the images in a separate folder.
    5) upload all the images to your website's server in a folder (you cannot embed images in an email newsletter - they must link to externally hosted images).
    6) change all the links in your html page to the ones that were loaded up on your server. For example, an image's source link would work out similar to this: <img src="http://www.yourwebsite.com/newsletter/image1.jpg" alt="alternate description of your image">
    7) open the newsletter with working external images in Chrome or Firefox. Select the entire page content (ctrl-a), and copy it (ctrl-c).
    8) create a new email in your mail client. Place the cursor in the body. Paste the newsletter (ctrl-v).
    9) send your newsletter to hundreds of recipients, and get blacklisted by several email servers. Receive warning messages from your own hosting provider not to spam other users' email accounts.
    10) realize this is too much of a hassle, and instead opt for a service such as MailChimp.
    (The result in (9) depends on whether you sent out your newletter only to acquaintances, or not. But even then you might be warned off.)
    Btw, many email clients turn off images in an email by default. You must provide the most important content as html, not as images.

    Yes, you should be able to do this. Use the Export command in the File menu of iMovie, and you will see that Camera is one of the options.

    Where is the phone number on the iPod?
    If you have an iPhone with iOS and use the same ID for Messages and FaceTime as on the iPod the iPhone's phone number will be listed for Messages and FaceTime on the iPod.
    If you changed phone numbers on the iPhone, sign out of Messages and FaceTime and then sing back in. Then do the same a little while later on the iPod.

    If your task is created by a workflow (first) and stored in a separate task list, you can create another workflow on this particular task list, then each workflow instance would check if current task is expired (not approved/rejected), then
    determine if update current task's "Task Outcome" as approved (and update task status as complete), and then create a retention policy on this paricular task list to trigger the workflow on due date .
