Task Update email reminders

perhaps I am missing something simple, but where is the option to change the default email reminder/update that is sent out to users when their tasks are updated/changed?
there are a few things I would like to change the behavior of to make it more readable if many updated tasks are included in a single email.
for example: (current)
Task Name: Task Test 1
Start: Monday, November 17, 2014 Finish: Friday, November 21, 2014 Work: 24h Remaining Work: 18h %completeion: 25
(proposed)
Task Name: Task Test 1 (perhaps add its parent summary task in front)
Start: Mon, Nov 17, 2014 Finish: Fri, Nov 21, 2014 Work: 24h Remaining : 18h %complete: 25

Calendar won't send email reminders since updating to Mavericks?

Since upgrading to OS Mavericks Calendar won't send email reminders.
I have been able to set them. But they don't actually send.
I have visited multiple sites and discussions and attempted the suggestions posted there but nothing seems to help. I have even contact Apple feedback, and still haven't heard back from anyone.
Just to clarify, i have attempted the following fixes:
- Adjusted email settings to ensure iCloud ermail account is properly set up
- Adjusted reminder settings in calendar to ensure the reminders should send
- ensured that "My Card" is properly set up in Contacts
I can't seem to find anything else to help? Anyone have any ideas?

I am haivng the same issue too.
According to some other posts, I deleted and readded the "Me" record in the address book. When creating a new calender entry I set it to send email. When the notification pops up it's just a normal alert and no email.
Any ideas?

Creating automated email reminders to users every 2 weeks via Workflow 2010 Out of Box approach only

Hi,
I have been asked to automate the email reminders to users (every two weeks) from the SharePoint2010 solution.
I am trying to achieve this via workflow ,but am unable to get the results.
Req :
Twice a month the users should get an automated email reminder for a specific task.
1. On 14th (or last working day in mid month -1) of the month. ( a field "mid month end" captures the date as 15th of the month)
2. On last working day - 1 of the month. ( a field "month end" captures the date as last day of the month)
Please let me know how i can achieve this via Out of box functionality. I donot have exp with workflows so a detailed steps guidlines will be very helpfull.

Although you can start a workflow and then pause it for a number of days, I'd feel uncomfortable with that. If the farm crashes, who guarantees that the paused workflows will pick up where they were left off?
SharePoint does no offer to run a workflow on all items in a list/library -- which I feel is a big draw back.
The good news is that there is a free 3rd party tool that can run a workflow on all (or specific) items in a list or library. It's called the
HarePoint Workflow Scheduler and I love it.
You can create a view that shows the items that you want to run the workflow on.
Or, if you know how to write CAML, you can feed the CAML Query right into the HarePoint Workflow Scheduler task.
At my company we have several sites in production that use the HarePoint Workflow Scheduler with a view.
So, first, create a SharePoint Designer workflow and define it to run manually.
Then use the HarePoint workflow scheduler to define a schedule.
You can define a schedule for the HarePoint tool, like every day, month, week, etc., by just clicking a few boxes.
Since this functionality does not come out of the box with SharePoint 2010, this free tool is a real gem.

Sending email reminders in OIM 11g

Hi,
I am trying to investigate on the OIM's capabilities to send email reminders on pending approval tasks. Say for example i want emails to be sent to the approver every two days to remind the approver about the pending approval task. Is OIM capable of supporting this functionality OOTB?
Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Yes
It sends reminders OOTB in 11g version. You just need to configure these in Approval Workflow.
Go to Notification Tab > Advanced

Ical email reminders get marked as junk

I have many repeating (weekly) email reminders set up in ical and every time one is sent Mail marks it as junk. I have my junk rules set up to allow email addresses from my address book (which has me in it). Am I doing something wrong? Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks!

1) Is there a way to get iCal to send out reminders when the computer is sleeping?
No way that I know. Sleep by definition means the computer's functions are suspended. The system would have to wake, spinning up the hard drive and loading the OS so that iCal could then trigger an email, and then go back to sleep.
2) If not, is there a way to forward my iCal events to Google Calendar? I can download Google Calendar to iCal, but I can't seem to push stuff to Google Calendar.
If you add your Google Calendar to iCal you should be able to put all your events into that calendar. That calendar is CalDAV so it will be updated on the Google server and then also update any other systems that are reading that calendar (Linux and otherwise)
If you are unable to make changes to your Google calendar in iCal I would suggest you remove it and re-add it.

Sending email reminders to other people?

Hi.
I use iCal to keep a schedule that colleagues are supposed to submit their work. I'd like to have iCal automatically send them an email reminder the day before it's due, but of course iCal only allows you to send emails reminders to yourself (and I don't feel like adding an extra 13 email addresses to my VCard)...
Any workarounds or suggestions? It's driving me nuts!!

I'm trying this too. I found a site earlier where someone claimed to have written an AppleScript to do this - however, the download link was dead and the page hadn't been updated in several months.
I tried John's suggestion. For some reason when I attempt a redirect, I just get a Mailer Daemon error saying the email I put in didn't exist...however if I set the rule to FORWARD the email (to the EXACT same email address) everything went through fine.
It's a band aid - but forwarding may work. Anyone else have some other ideas?

Question:
There is a scenario that users want to send multiple rows returned by Execute SQL Task as Email content to send to someone. With Execute SQL Task, the Full result set is used when the query returns multiple rows, it must map to a variable of the Object data
type, then the return result is a rowset object, so we cannot directly send the result variable as Email content. Is there a way that we can extract the table row values that are stored in the Object variable as Email content to send to someone?
Answer:
To achieve this requirement, we can use a Foreach Loop container to extract the table row values that are stored in the Object variable into package variables, then use a Script Task to write the data stored in packages variables to a variable, and then set
the variable as MessageSource in the Send Mail Task.
Add four variables in the package as below:
Double-click the Execute SQL Task to open the Execute SQL Task Editor, then change the ResultSet property to “Full result set”. Assuming that the SQL Statement like below:
SELECT   Category, CntRecords
FROM         [table_name]
In the Result Set pane, add a result like below (please note that we must use 0 as the result set name when the result set type is Full result set):
Drag a Foreach Loop Container connects to the Execute SQL Task.
Double-click the Foreach Loop Container to open the Foreach Loop Editor, in the Collection tab, change the Enumerator to Foreach ADO Enumerator, then select User:result as ADO object source variable.
Click the Variable Mappings pane, add two Variables as below:
Drag a Script Task within the Foreach Loop Container.

Here is a procedure that should help.
1. Go to "Settings"
2. Go to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
3. Click the account you don't want anymore
4. Go to the bottom and click "Delete Account"
5. Confirm the deletion
6. Go back to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" (if you're not there already)
7. Add your new account

There is one report RPRAPA00 running in background to update vendor master except email .
I could not able to see anything to update email address in user-exits available in report RPRAPA00.

You can use a couple of function modules from function group SZA0 to update the email address.

Problem with complete task via email

I set up everything as it’s written in blog mentioned above. When a task is assigned to me, I received an email notification with actions (accept, deny). After that I replied with action “accept”. Then I received email with subject “Errors from LiveCycle ES”:

Hi Diana, thanks for your reply.
You're probably right about 2 different error messages.
To the 1st one: I'm sure that status task is Assigned (to me). I received an email and I also reply on that email.
To error log: I found out that error log appears when I enable email endpoint on Complete Task service. But I managed to solve this problem. I set wrong user. Now I have here the same user as is written in login-config.xml so log seems to be ok.
So I created new task and tried to complete it via email. Now I receive email with another error:

Idoc HRMD_A06 problem to update email

Hi Experts,
When I try to make an email modification using idoc HRMD_A06, the email is not existing is not changed, a new email is inserted.
In order to update/insert employers emails I'm using the Segment E1P0105
of Infotype 0105.
Follow below the values that I have used to try update email:
PERNR = 01914925
INFTY = 0105
SUBTY = 0010
ENDDA = 31.12.9999
BEGDA = 01.01.2006
SEQNR = 000
USRTY = 0010
USRID_LONG = [email protected]
Just data from email has been not updated.

just see simple scenario -
1) if for a employee the reocord of IT0105,0010 exits already as -
start date - 01.01.2005
enddate - 31.12.9999
email - [email protected]
2) now u want to update it,it can be doen in 2 ways -
a) if u want the new record the same start date as the of existing one then
start date shud be 01.01.2005 only.
b) but if u r changing start date of new record as 01.01.2006 then wht SAP wil do is - delimit the old record and make it valid upto 31.12.2005 and a new record will be inserted with STart date from 01.01.2006 and end date 31.12.9999.
