Task with multiple outgoing path

Hi,
I'm creating a process in Oracle JDeveloper.
In the process, there is an activity with two outgoing path.
Most of the examples I've seen uses parallel gateway which comes in pair.
But the problem is that, the two outgoing path will not merge and end at the same end event.
E.g.
Task A -> 1) Task B -> End Event 1
-> 2) Task C -> End Event 2
Is there possible way this can be done?
Thank you!

Hi Srini,
have a look for example here [http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/integration.1111/e10224/bp_hwfmodel.htm#BABCFHEI].
You should be able to set multiple users/groups/application roles. The default delimiter is a comma (,).
Regards,
Martin.

  • How to deal with multiple disk path's

    hi
i'm setting up a new server with virtual servers with extra io domain's
now i have a question on how to deal with multiple disk path's
    so following questions:
    - can i enable multipath on the primary and on the alternate domain?
i tried this but when rebooting the alternate the alternate keep's freezing and the only solution is to hard stop it and it's depending host
    - if i can't enable multipathing how to handle this
for example a disk has on the primary domain 4 path's to a disk
do  i then assign all 4 path's to a virtual disk server or do i create a virtual disk server per path
if i do the first is adding all the path to the same mpgroup enough or not

    Hello
1.-can i enable multipath on the primary and on the alternate domain?  Yes. i understand for multipath mpxio or similar.
2.-i tried this but when rebooting the alternate the alternate keep's freezing and the only solution is to hard stop it and it's depending host
if you are going to use alternate domain you have to give this IO the all bus root nexus, what you describe sounds like DIO,
3.- - if i can't enable multipathing how to handle this for example a disk has on the primary domain 4 path's to a disk
If you have 4 path to the same disk in the primary and you are using multipath let's say mpxio, then you will have only one disk in the primary, which is a virtual device that handle the 4 paths.  That's is what you have to use in a vds.

  • How to write to one channel of a task with multiple channels? (plus other things...)

So I have a USB-6009 DAQ.  It has 12 digital output lines.  I want one channel that is "Dev0\line0:10" which represents an address bus in my application.  And a second channel "Dev0\line11" which represents a program enable line in my application.
I have tried creating two different tasks and adding one channel to one task and the other channel to the other task.  The only task that worked was the task with "Dev0\line0:10".  It was always the task containing that channel, regardless of the order of creation.  So then I moved on to a different method.  (I read somewhere that I should only create one task of each type.  like only 1 DO task only 1 AO task etc...  However I am also using the two analog ouputs to and have a task for each AO and they work just fine.)
I tried add both channels to one task.  But when I needed to control only the address bus, I had to have some information for the other channel as well.  This was a little trying, but I could configure it that way.  But it turned out to be easier for me to just make one channel with all the lines and OR in the data for line11 with each write.
I just wondered if it was possible to write to one particular channel of a task and not the other channel?  That would really be the ideal solution for me.  especially if I could write multiple samples to the one channel while I left the other channel alone.  Which brings up another complaint... Why does WriteMultiSamplePort only work if I use a DigitalMultiChannelWriter, and not if I use a DigitalSingleChannel writer even though my task only has one channel (and by the way I set up the channel as one channel for all lines)?  A perplexing issue to be sure.
And no I can't just load all my samples into an array and write them all at once because I also have to manipulate the two analog outputs in between the various digital writes.
I am using NI DAQmx 7.5 and C#.  I am trying to use the DAQ to program a digital switch, which has proven to be a real challenge.  In push-pull mode there is too much ringing for the switches programming port to tolerate.  But the switches interface is LVTTL, so I needed the 3.3V.  When I changed to open-collector I had to use voltage dividers to drop down to 3.3V.  But the rise time using open-collector is too slow for me the program the switch in serial mode, so I had to change to parallel.  The switch has an 11 bit multi-plexed ADDR/DATA bus.  So the DAQ I had chosen to use which had plenty of lines for the serial programming, now is strained to it's absolute limits by the parrallel interface.   ARGH.  The only output I am not currently using is the counter, and I'm going to need it if I ever want to read back from the switch.  But first I have to seperate the ADDR/DATA bus from the CS line on the DIO lines of the DAQ.  And I don't know for sure what I'm going to do about the voltage level translation when I have to go bi-directional.  Maybe I can filter out the ringing in push-pull mode?  Any thoughts on that?

    Hi Saikey,
In most cases, you are exactly right: you can only use one task for one type of operation (i.e. only one analog input task in the same program). With the USB 6009, you can have multiple digital output tasks running at the same time. I was able to run a digital output program with two different digital output tasks configured for a USB-6009.
However, you stated that it would be better if you had everything in a single task for your application and write data to only some of the channels. The easiest way to do this is to modify your array of output data so that only the data to that one channel is changing. So, for example, if you keep writing a 0 to the channels that do not need new data nothing will change.
If you have to change your analog outputs during this program, you could create an event structure that would stop and restart the analog output tasks without changing the digital output data. I hope that you find this information helpful.

    Hal L.

  • - Multi-tasking with Multiple Macs -

    Hi,
I don't know anything about networking computers or suchlike, so I hope there's someone who can help me.
I'm thinking about connecting 2 Mini-Macs to my iMac, in order to improve the amount of work I can handle - 1 Mini-Mac to import information, my iMac to actually work on things, the other Mini-Mac to burn DVDs.
    In such a setup :-
Can I switch to each Mac, to access it and start off a process ??
    Transfer information between them ??
I'm sure the above isn't very difficult to sort out, and seems like a great way to be more productive without needing to spend too much extra money or take up too much desk space.
Any comments or suggestions will be gratefully recieved.
    Thanks,
    Peter

The goal for me is to have each machine doing something at athe same time..
..If I'm importing something into iMovie, for instance, I can't do much else with it until it's finished.
With multiple machines, I should be able to import with 1 Mac and then import something else when I'm working on the file from the 1st Mac.
Because I wouldn't want to jeapordise the file I'd be importing I wouldn't want to do anything too intensive - ergo, pass off the importing to a seperate machine.
My idea is to be able to be doing 3 things at once - as I said, importing, working and burning.
I don't need a powerhouse of a mzchine to do what I'm planning on doing, nor several screened Macs - however, I do need several processes to be ongoing at the same time.

  • Checklist for daily tasks with multiple rows submitted at once

The goal is to have a list like this.  I can pull these in with webparts and List Views, I am sure.  The issue I have is submitting these "Tasks" at once with InfoPath.
I have a request for a daily checklist.
I was going to setup some views in InfoPath to get the information for them to fill out, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Annually.
You select Daily, and a page view in InfoPath shows up with the selections for the checklist.  These would be pulling from a SharePoint List.
The issue I have is that I don’t know how to get all the information for, say to be submitted or presented to the form at once.
THe user select Daily from the checkbox on the first / default view, and they are taken to the Daily View and have these checkboxes for items to "check off" once complete:
    Daily:
    SCOM Health Explorer - Check/Fix
    Backup Check/ Fix
    Data Center Walkthrough
    Security Cameras
    VPN's are p
    Audit logs on production
    Wireless Check
    SPAM
    Antivirus
    AD
My issue is that I would like to have all that information be submitted into a list in the row in which it is submitted.
I know how to submit item ONE at a time, but to have the submit button go through each row in my form...I am at a loss on how to do so.  I am looking to make it as easy as possible with the same,
hopefully for the user.  I would like to present all the information to them and have them tick off the information, without a drop down to go ... drop down, check, drop down, check, drop down, check.
I just don’t know how to set the items to go into the list in the row in which they're presented after a user "completed" the checklist.
    What I have so far:
So I have a custom list that has all these in a single column, title, and I can create a variable, etc.  But I am trying to link that information (I am NOT tied to the custom list if it’s not the
    best plan!)
But I am trying to take the other custom list, where you submit, that has (from my custom list)
TaskName   Daily   Weekly   Monthly   Quarterly   Annually   Issues Issues1
TaskName is the SCOM through AD list item (single line of text), Daily, Weekly, etc. through Annually are checkboxes, for “Yes / No" for "is the selection Daily or Monthly, etc.” and the issues
that people may have with the checklist "the issue for AD is that it was corrupted", issues and issues1 are tests to see about putting in “issues1” single line of text and “issues” multiple lines of text (I can NOT pull in multiple lines of text
as an option in Get External Data in InfoPath for the Receive Data.  Issues1 shows up (Single line of text)
But NOT Issues (Multiple lines of text) Not earth shattering, if they have to have 255 characters, so be it!
But for me, what I think I want / what would be good, would be to have multiple items show up when they select Daily and the Daily options populate in the view for them to submit, with check for OK or
their putting in any issues into the Issues1 field.
They hit the submit button and are “done!”
The TaskName field is filled out MULTIPLE times, one row for each Daily “task.”  The table below would then show the information with Task Name and other rows being filled in over and over again.
I just don’t know how to get the Submit to go line by line and fill in line 1, 2, 3, 4…. From SCOM down to AD.
When the form is presented, it will look something like this to the user, they select the checklist items, (Weekly, Monthly, etc. would be "hidden" if they didn't select that "View") and they'd put in the Issue, IF any.
They'd hit submit and it would submit JUST LIKE THIS!  Each row would be a separate row in the SharePoint List, with each value going into it's own option with the TaskName being the name of the task.
TaskName   Daily   Weekly   Monthly     Quarterly   Annually   Issues Issues1
    SCOM   Health Explorer - Check/Fix   X
    Backup   Check/   Fix
      X

    Thank you!

Sadly no, I haven't gotten to this, it has fallen through the cracks and other items have come up. I apologize, would be nice to tell you I have had a solution!

  • How do I export a counter from a task with multiple counters

    Hi All,
I have a quadrature output VI that works 100%, outputting the frequency on the default pins (I'm using a NI-6284, so the default CTR0 and CTR1 pins are PFI12 and PFI13). During my development, I made a silly mistake and routed the encoder pins to PFI 12 and PFI14.
What I need is to move the signal from the PFI13 to PFI 14, which is supposed to be simple.
I've tried a few ways of doing it, including DAQmx dis/connect terminals (very clunky),  and DAQmx Export Signal which gives me trouble because there are two counters in the task and the function can only export 1 counter.
Please take a look at the attached VI and let me know what solution I should implement.
    Best,
    Adrian

    Hi S,
Thanks for the reply. I also came to that page, which is helpful.
What I've ended up doing is using the counter property node to specify the output pin of the counter that I need to move, and left the other counter at the default.
I'm not sure if this is the best or most elegant solution, but I haven't had any problems with it as yet.
I was hoping to hear from the community what the safest and most elegant solution would be, as the "Export Signal" VI looks like quite a nice option, but may well be overkill for my purposes.
    Thanks!

  • Single data set, loaded once, with multiple xpath paths?

    All,
Is it possible to load xml via a URL one time on a page
    request and then
create mutliple datasets from that single call using
    different xpath
expressions? sort of like doing a mega query then creating
    subsets of that
    query?
    something like:
    <root>
    <process type="1" blah="blah"/>
    <process type="1" blah="blah2"/>
    <process type="2" blah="blah3"/>
    </root>
    ds1 = new XMLDataSet(blah.cfm,"/root/process[@type=1]";
    ds2 = new XMLDataSet(blah.cfm,"/root/process[@type=2]";
what i really need to do is make that cfm call one time per
    load.
    thanks for any help.
    Marc

Surely. Sorry for not being more specific earlier.
I'm currently using the tab widget. there are about 5 tabs
    total. each of
those tabs represents a list of process in a given "status",
    like "running",
"pending", etc. Currently, the way I create this is to run a
    big old query
that gets ALL processes, and then I loop over that query,
    grouping on the
Process Status, and create a tab for each status. I'm not
    using any
spry:repeat regions or anything like that currently. In fact,
    the only spry
i'm using at all is for the tab widget. the query is just a
    query that runs
when the page loads. it's not doing any spry data loading
    with XMLDataSet or
    anything.
However, I'd like to convert this process to using the
    XMLDataSet so that I
can use the spry repeat regions. What I'd like, then, is to
    pass a cfm page
as the XML param. this would return the same query i'm
    running now, except
in xml format. I'd also like to pass the loadInterval param
    so that I can
avail myself of the automatic data refreshing so that all of
    the tabs will
have their content updated at the specified interval, as
    opposed to doing it
with a page refresh which is how I do it now (which is just a
    brute force
way of rerunning the query and recreating all html).
so in the end what i end up with is 5 tabs, each representing
    a status,
whose data comes from the same xml but whose tab content is a
    subset of that
xml. the loadinterval then ensures that all tabs are updated
    at the
    appropriate frequency.
    how's that? clearer?
    thanks again!

  • Problem with multiple outgoing emails

I have a program that takes a 100+ page PDF file and sends 100+ emails to various recipients, each of whom receives a different page of the PDF as an attachment.  Each week, a dozen or more recipients don't get the email--it's not always the same recipient, nothing bounces back, and there are nothing in any of the local logs to indicate a problem.  I've reviewed the quotas in http://businesshelp.comcast.com/help-and-support/Email/email-size-storage-limits/  and if that's the problem I have no way of knowing it.  How can I find out if this issue is related to the Comcast outgoing mail Server?  Thx in advance .... • Help with multiple Source Paths

    Hi:
I have a project that I currently have a single Source Path set to a local drive, e.g., C:\myproj\src and under that directory are two other folders such as pkg1 and pkg2. There are further folders beneath these. JDeveloper correctly displays the source tree for this configuration. But now we have put a configuration management system in place, and the latest stable code is in, say, K:\myproj\src, same subfolders beneath src as in the local source tree.
If I delete the current source paths from my JDeveloper project, then add the local source and then the CM source (K:), the tree still looks correct, but JDeveloper still thinks it is getting all the files from the local disk, even though I have removed almost all of them (all but the ones that are checked out of CM and I am working on). What I am trying to set up is a path where JDeveloper will find the local file first, but anything that isn't there, it will get from the public CM folders. JDeveloper is confused. If I bring a file into the editor that is on the CM drive (K:), I get an EMPTY source window that says C:\myproj\src\whatever.java in the banner instead of the K: version. Can JDeveloper do this or not? Do I need to name every sub-file in the tree as a separate source path?
    Thanks,
    Mike

What? NO ONE is doing this or trying to do this?

  • Outgoing server settings for MAC MAIL with multiple accounts?!

if i got paid to do this, my outgoing mail server issues would be somewhat amusing but as it stands they are really extremely annoying.
i have multiple email accounts (multiple addresses with multiple hosts - gmails, domain based email, me.com address etcetera).
does ANYONE know if there is an FAQ on what is recommended with respect to the settings on whether to tell mail to ONLY USE the one outgoing server and/or anything with the other settings?
i feel like i am in a pachinko parlor when i send mail because there is constantly an error of some kind and then i try dropping the mail through a different outgoing server by selecting a different one from the list and i just do this until it goes out. oftentimes i don't find out it didn't go out until the NEXT DAY becasue i am working and this alert gets hidden behind my other windows where i do actual productive work.
any ideas? i have two domain based websites (multiple emails with two SMTP addresses), two GMail accounts and me.com...
    THANKS!

    hi. CS. thanks.
do you know what this does as a practical matter? i mean, is it NECESSARY to check this box? will it try other outgoing servers and NOT WORK if you don't check this box? conversely, will it NOT try other outgouing servers if this one is unavailable if i check this (presumably the answer is yes here). i mean - am i likely to run into fewer problems by checking this box and i assume it is necessary to use the OUTGOING SERVER of the actual domain you are trying to send mail from as opposed to - for example - using GMAIL outgoing server for everything because you think you will get less errors than sending from your email domain outgoing server.
you know what i am saying? i mean, i get a bootload of errors and actually can't send mail these days even though Connection Doctor is telling me everything is hunky dory.
also, what is meant by "Offline"? do i have to go in and tell it to take everything on line for some reason and is this totally separate (telling it to go online) from checking things in Connection Doctor?
    THANK YOU

What we understand about that error : it is impossible to run the two set of tasks (ai and ao) using ressources from both Dev1 and Dev2 in the set of tasks because it is not allowed to use the same Reference Clock for that.
The question is : is there a way to to that without having that kind of message?
    We tried different combinations :
    - Using only one ao task (on Dev1/Dac0) : same error
    - Not using any ao task (only the ai task) : no error
    - configuring the ai task with only channel from Dev1 : no error
    - Using "/Dev1/ai/SampleClock" as internal clock for the ai task and "/Devk/ao/SampleClock" for each ao task (k standing for "1" or "2" depending of the ao task we consider) : error
    Thanks a lot.

  • Synchronize multiple tasks and multiple boards with X-series USB devices

    Hi all,
I am trying to figure out how to synchronize multiple tasks across multiple X-series USB boards (6353, to be precise).
I have to run a digital output task AND an analog output task on each board.  All four tasks (the DO and AO on Board 1, and the DO and AO on Board 2) must be synchronized.
I know how to synchronize multiple tasks on a single board.  I've been doing that for years.  That works fine.
I know how to synchronize a single task across multiple boards (say, a DO task across 2 different boards).  That works fine too.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to marry the two.  Everything I've seen, all of the examples, etc. assume you want to do one or the other, or that you have a RTSI cable available.  Are there any examples out there that synchronize multiple tasks across multiple USB boards?
I tried exporting the AO clock signal from my master AO task to PFI12, and then using the signal on PFI12 to as the clock source for the remaining tasks (Dev1/PFI12 physically connected to Dev2/PFI12, and Dev1/PFI12 set as the clock source for Dev1's DO task).
I have also tried setting Dev1/aoSampClock as the source for Dev1's DO task.
Under both configurations, I invariably get error -89137 when I try to start the tasks -- required resources (PFI12) in use by Dev1/do/SampClock.  I understand what the error is telling me.  What I don't understand is why I'm receiving this error when I don't have any of my tasks configured to use the DO Sample Clock.  It seems as though it is not possible to export a clock signal to a PFI line and simultaneously run a clocked digital task, even if the clock source for that task is specified as something other than the DO Sample Clock?
So, my question is, is it possible to do what I want to do?  And if so, how do I do it?  How do I configure a common clock source across multiple tasks running on multiple USB boards?
Hoping for insight from those wiser than I...
    Diane
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Update:  I decided to try using a counter as the source clock.  One cannot use counter 0 to accomplish this, but it does appear to work with counter 1.
I'll take what I can get.  Fortunately I have two spare counters.  (Yes, I'm running counter tasks too -- 6 of them -- but they don't have to be synchronized.)
I have to add both digital and analog input tasks as well -- all synchronous with each other, but not with the output tasks since they'll be running at different sample rates.  I hope I'm able to use a counter as the source clock for those as well.
    My head aches.

  • Examples for good programming practice with multiple DAQmx tasks

I'm writing a program to continuously log data from 8 counters, 8 encoders, and 8 voltages. The proof of concept VI with a single counter was simple and elegant, but scaling up to all signals resulted in a wiring mess. I've been working through the Labview Core courses, and am currently on Core 3. I still haven't come across a discussion on how to work with multiple DAQmx tasks without making a mess of the block diagram. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Also, say I have a state machine that has a configure, idle, and logging states. I need to set the initial values of the encoders during configuration, and keep up with their changes while in the idle state so I have appropriate starting values when entering the logging state. Can anyone point to an example that shows how this might be accomplished?
    Thanks

I'm very familiar with AE's/Functional Globals - but I have struggled in the past with handling multiple DAQmx tasks - particularly when you're using multiple devices and using different types of measurements which require seperate tasks/handling (e.g. such as thermocouples which require extra compensation).
I'm not even sure I know whare the requirements are for needing multiple tasks - I know you can need multiple tasks for a single device if the type of measurement is different but can you share an Analogue Input task amongst multiple devices?
I think in hindsight (and without too much thought now) it looks like a good case for Object Oriented LabVIEW - with a base DAQmx class (initialise, configure, start, acquire, stop, close etc.) and then child classes for each type of measurement (with one task associated with each - and private data unique to that specific class). You then hold an array of objects (one for each task) and iterate through each one with dynamic despatch to get the data.
I don't know your particular experience level of using LabVIEW (and as such, OO may not be appropriate) - but as a wider discussion of 'best practice' it seems like an appropriate method I would use going forward.

  • How to generate xml file with multiple nodes using sqlserver as database in SSIS..

    Hi ,
I have to generate the xml file using multiple nodes by using ssis and database is sqlserver.
Can some one guide me on to perform this task using script task?
    sudha

Why not use T-SQL for generating XML? You can use FOR XML for that

  • Any way to export with multiple presets at once?

Hi! Is there any way to export with multiple presets at once? I do a lot of product photography, usually clients send me around 5 to 10 pieces to photograph, and from each photo requires to be exported to about 7 different formats and sizes for different uses. I have a preset for each export, but this requires multiple clicks per export, select the preset, the destination folder, etc.....   and at the end I end taking about 1 hour to just export files when if I could just select 1 time a folder of presets and the destination folder just once, then it will take no time to get all oft those exports.
    Thanks!

Some of those other photographers have assistants they can task with doing the drudgery.
I would describe what you're wanting scripted multiple exporting, not multiple export presets, because multiple-exports don't necessarily rely on presets, just initiating an Export and clicking on various things for each one.
I assume you have a preset set for each of the 7 format-size-uses variations, and then most of the time consuming part is setting the Choosing the destination folder that gets mirrored to DropBox?  You can copy/paste most of the path into the Folder address area after clicking Choose.
Without knowing what your master-photo folders and dropbox-mirror folder names and organization are it's hard to know if you've thought of all the shortcuts you might use or if things are organized in the most efficient manner.
If you're on Windows, maybe something like AutoHotKey macros would help with what you're doing.
