Data masking , data migration etc

It depends. What kind of Plan is it-Relationship with Company code? Does it have warehouse?
I can think of following task
1. Retire assets
2. Complete the GR, IR transactions
3. If finished products, other products are being moved to another plant-Inventory movements have to be carried out
4. Modify substitutions and validations if you have one
5. Check COPA posting rules
Also, you may have to coordinate with MM, PP team for data migration.

Need to know schema name and table name associated with a column-URGENT

Hi folks,
I need to know the schema name and the table name associated with a column. Though jdbc has the api to getTableName and getSchemaName, some database vendor like oracle does return empty upon call of mentioned methods. I found that oracle driver does not support that
Can any one give me the solution? It is urgent. Or do you suggest any third pary jdbc driver which can provide those?

Angelina,
Your question has been discussed several times previously in this forum. Search this forum's archives for "getTableName". Oracle JDBC driver does not implement this (because "it is not feasible" -- according to Oracle).
First of all, I would suggest that you could probably change your application's logic so that you would not need this functionality (but I guess that is not feasible either, right :-)
Alternatively, you could try querying the Oracle database data dictionary.

Risks associated with changing to new Plant Calendar assigned in OX10

Our site is considering changing the factor calendar from 5 days a week to 7 days a week in OX10 for the plant. We curently use all supply chain modules and otc. Can anyone tell me the warnings/risks associated with doing this?

Orders for Production , Maintenance, Deliveries, Transfer Order etc. are created according to the factory calendar .
You must be sure that all operations can be carried out in the seven days of the week (e.g. deliveries), because SAP can be scheduling aTransfer Order for a Sunday and somebody can be calling you for fixing the issue!
The normal case is that some operations can take place in the weekend (Production, Maintenance) but other Logistic Operations ( Deliveries) are done only from Mo to Fr. If this is your case, I would create an additional seven days calendar and assign it to the work centers in Production and maintenance, but the Plant would remain linked to the old five days calendar

Finding Plants\Storage locations associated with the Routes

Hi,
I need to find all possible Plants/Storage Locations associated with the Route in hand.(These routes can be found in TVRAB table).Is there any mapping done in SAP between Routes and Plants or Routes and Departure Points ?
If anyone has any inputs regarding this, it will be really helpful.

To determine the route we need to know the Plant and the Shipping point or connection point/port.
I think we can find the routes in table TVRO or VBLK.
and for route descirption we go for the TVROT
First check the tables for the Plant and shipping point then we can link to the route.

How can I see all mail associated with my account simultaneously

My boss has tasked me with finding a way to be able to see all sent & received mail associated with an account in mail simultaneously. InBox, Sent, Trash, Drafts, all at once, is that possible?

Hello!
If you want to see all of that in a single mailbox, you can create a Smart Mailbox from the "file" menu in the top left corner of your screen. It's a bit of trial and error before you get the rules correct, perhaps, but that will work.

How can I remove a file that is no longer associated with a page?

I have a hurdle that is preventing me from completing a task.
I am trying to build a spry asset--specifically a vertical menu. When I initially built the page, I built the menu. However, the look was rejected and I was asked to re-create it. I went back, removed all references to the spry asset, and stripped the menu from the page. But when I open the page which I want to build the menu on again, it is still showing that a .css and .js file are associated, event though they aren't. And when I try to rebuild the asset, it won't add the proper .css and .js file because it thinks the files are already created.See the screenshot below to view what I'm talking about.
If anyone has an idea of how to tell Dreamweaver that those two files are no longer associated with the page, I would appreciate some help. THis is the last major hurdle before I can complete a project.

Providing you have removed all references to the js/css files, (have you removed the code at the bottom of the page?), use the spry updater to insert your new js/css.

List of activities before closing a plant permanently- Urgent please

Dear MM Gurus
i require your expert help in suggesting me a detailed action plan, here is my issue
we are going to close our plant in 1 month and i would like to know what are all the list of action points that we need to take care of from now on to finally we close,
so that we are left with zero unused stocks and all the open orders are all completed successfully, no excess, and so that this transition phase happens smoothly without any errors.from both MM/ WM/ PP/ QM and LE perspectives
also we plan to replace this current plant we are closing with a new plant and what should we do if
we need to copy all current plant config to new plant?
how to copy all the master data like material master, info records, SA's vendor masters etc over to the new plant-
is there any standard mass upload tools for this activity or do we need to create custom programs or which do you suggest to advice considering the very short time i have, pls explain in detail??

In this situation we look for below areas in MM
1) Closing stocks.
2) Open PO's
3) Pending Payments to vendors
4) Sub-Contracting status.
close all po's at cutoff date & take the closing stock of materials with value & note the g/l account value these should tally in new plant.
for po's pending for delivery close it or cancel it.
Material master / vendor master etc . . . master data's is adviseable to extended using LSMW or BDC.

How to get Font's associated with a pdf document.

I am currently working on a project related to Document Management in SAP. For this I have a set of pdf document's that needs to be classified as 'searchable' and 'Non-searchable'. I am planning to identify the document based on Font contents i.e a searchable document has some font associated with it, and non-searchable documents do not have any font associated with it.
I am trying to use the class cl_fp_pdf_object and get the information about font. I see that there is no function which gives me this information directly. Is there any way to get font information of a pdf documents using classes ? or Is there any way to identify directly weather a document is searchable or not ? Please help.
DATA: l_fp          TYPE REF TO if_fp,
           l_pdfobj      TYPE REF TO if_fp_pdf_object.
    Create PDF Object.
      l_pdfobj = l_fp->create_pdf_object( connection = p_dest ).
    Set document.

Retain the metadata associated with a doc after conversion to pdf

I am using word automation service to convert word document to a pdf in a sharepoint 2010 document library. however after the conversion of the document from word to pdf the associated metadata is lost. (i.e the converted document which is added to the library doesn't retain
the old metadata like duedate,doc id etc...)
Can someone help me how to retain the metadata associated with list after conversion of document to PDF.
I am using one ItemAdded event reciever in which when I am trying to looping out the library in which all word documents are there, I am not getting the last updated document that got converted into pdf.
Code which I am using is below: Here destContenttype is content type of the the document and destFilename is file name of the document.

I have worked on copying SharePoint meta data (and painfully fine tuning it to deal with all exceptions, 3rd party apps and content types) for the last 8 years. Not full time though :-)
It is part of a commercial product that does PDF Conversion in SharePoint and takes great care of dealing with meta data. Have a look at
this blog post.

Risks associated with database refresh.

I need to clarify a doubt .I have a cloned SAP BW system (from another system i.e SAn to SAN copy)and then after few months after the first clone I need to refresh the database(Oracle 10 G).The reason being I will have some changes in data at the source system from where it was copied earlier.I shall be applying the application changes by tracking the transport requests(from the original system).
I need to clarify if we don't refresh the whole system again by SAN to SAN copy and then do a database refresh will there be any problem .Is there any risk associated with it.
Will the requests be available to me on the monitor with the new data or there will be some issues.
A quick response shall be very useful.

This is pretty surprising and wierd that even Reader 10.1.1 is crashing on your system. It works pefectly for me.
Would it be possible for you to get the crash dump, and upload it, so that I can have a look at the same.
Download PROCDUMP from <http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900.aspx> and extract it to a folder, say, c:\temp\procdump.exe
Open cmd prompt and type "cd c:\temp".
Launch the browser and open the PDF.
Open task manager, sort processed by name. Two AcroRd32.exe instances should have been launched. Note the PID (a small integer like 5588) corresponding to the AcroRd32.exe with the higher memory usage; this is the process that must be crashing. Note this PID.
On the cmd window, type "procdump -e -ma 5588 c:\temp\01.dmp" (replace 5588 with the actual PID of the process noted in Step 4). Procdump will now wait for the aoolication to crash. If it throws a EULA, accept it.
Perform your steps to cause the crash.
Procdump will have created a dump file at "c:\temp\01.dmp". Zip it up (since it will be 100s of MBs otherwise) and share with me.

Is their any way that with the help of any sql query we could find out the number of inflight instances assoicated with workflows. I have 281 workflow in my case and i have to delete those which are of old version and have no inflight instances associated with it.

What exactly do you mean with "workflow". Is this a composite? or a BPEL Process?
If you mean composites then the task you are describing can be achieved using the Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure Management Java API. Look here for more info.

How to execute a JavaScript associated with an interactive field?

I need to perform a virtual click from a plugin. Let's say that a set of 3 check box/radio button fields have the export values:
- Yes
- No
- Maybe
I have a script that says that the user virtually clicked on the "Maybe" button. All I have to do is find which of the radio buttons:
radioButton#0
radioButton#1
radioButton#2
contains the "Maybe" export value. So far, this task is very doable. My question is how to perform the following:
I need to call the JavaScript interpreter and execute it, using as an argument the JavaScript code associated with the up mouse even of the button.
Any help will be most appreciated...

IF you are trying to do this from a plugin - I would just use Cos APIs to get the appropriate JS from the field's action dictionary and then pass it to AFExecuteThisScript().
