Tax Code Determination - default tax code for sales

Under the tax code determination window i have set the default tax code for sales as VAT@4% and I have save it.  but when I open the sales quotation , order or any other sales document the tax code is not appeared.  what could be the reason?
thanks
SV Reddy

Is ur "Determination Type" is 'Material Type'?
FYI from Help file,
When you enter item information in the marketing documents, system will check the item master data. If the item classification for the tax is:
Material Item
The tax code determination for material will start.
Service Item
The tax code determination for service will start.
When you enter service information in the marketing documents, the tax code determination for service documents will start

  • Default Output Type for Sales Order Header

    Hi Guru
I created 2 output types for hardcopy printout and for mail.
I want both should be selected as default when a sales order is created. (using NACE)
Output will be manually from VA02 -> issue output to. Here I must get 2 output types.
As of now, this is manual process.
    Please help.
    sunil Kolambkar.

    Hi Sunil,
For this you need to maintain condition record for output type. for the sales order type, [V V11].
Do the output determination in the same way as Pricing procedure determination.
    OUTPUT DETERMINATION:
SPRO- IMG- Basic Functions- Output Control- Output Determination- Output Det using Cond Tech- Output Det for Sales Documents & output det for billing documents.
Create Condition Table: select the field Sales Doc Type from field catalog & Save
Maintain Access Sequence: 4-digits code & description.
Assign condition table to access sequence. Select Accesses line item and Go To Fields. Fields will display the fields we have selected in the condition table i.e. sales doc type.
    Maintain Output Types:
    AF00: Inquiry
    AN00: Quotation
    BA00: Order Confirmation
    LD00: Delivery
Select BA00 & Copy & Rename. Give the same 4-digit code as given to acc seq.
    You Can Maintain:
    Languages of Output
Partners (to whom we want to send output)
    Print Program- print specification
    Sap Script- layout
Assign Output Types to Partner Functions: go to new entries & assign your output type to partner functions.
Maintain Output Determination Procedure: V10000 (Standard Procedure). Go to new entries & create your own 6-digit code with descp. Select the procedure & go to Control Data. Here mention the output type i.e. cond type & leave requirement and manual only columns as blank.
Determination Rule: link the 6-digit procedure code to doc types.
Create Condition Records: VV11. Select document type and click on Communication. Mention partner function, medium, time. Output device: LP01, Spool request Name: SD_003, Suffix 2: order_confir & flag on print immediately.
Once you press enter you will come across 2 key combinations:
    Sales organisation/ Customer Number: fill SO, Customer No, Partner Function Abbreviation, Partner to whom the output should be sent, time, medium, language. {It contains: Sales Orgn, Customer, Partner Function (The abbreviated form of the name that identifies the Partner) (During output determination, the system determines the recipient of the output from the master record for the specified partner function. In this field, you can explicitly specify a recipient that will override the standard partner. There must also be a master record for the partner that is specified explicitly.), Medium, Time & Language.}
Order Type: Document Type, Partner Function (abbreviation), Partner, Medium, Time & Language.
    Hope this would be helpful.

  • Default ATP check for sales organization - which function?

    Hi all.
If you for a particular sales organization make the settings in customizing, that all ATP checks should default be "Delivery proposal" for example, which function module is then checking this in sales order creation? I would like to do some debugging, but I cannot find any ABAP program/function module where this is being checked?

  • Tax Conditions for Sales and Distribution using Jurisdiction Code in Canada

    Hello everyone,
I would like to share with you a doubt relating taxes for Sales and Distribution in Canada.
The Tax conditions for Sales and Distribution in Canada are the CTX1 (GST - Canada), CTX2 (PST - Canada) and CTX3 (Base + GST). These are the Tax Conditions which appear when creating a Material or a Client for the Canada Region, and are also the ones included in the Canada Standandard Pricing Procedure.
I tried to apply the standard method of creating a Master Record for these conditions, but an error relating the Jurisdiction Code came out while releasing to accounting.
Does anyone one how to procceed? Which are the important issues with Finance Accounting to take in to account?
I would really appreciate any comment relating this issue.
Thank you very much in advanced.
    Víctor

    Dear Mr. Lakshmipathi,
In first place, thank you very much for your quick response.
I have tried many different procedures to get the aim, and among others, a new access sequence was created to allow the introduction of the Jurisdiction Code (UTXJ is not available for Sales Conditions) but once the Condition is created, it is not recognized when creating the Order ("pricing error: Mandatory condition CTX is missing"). Maybe it has something to do with the fact that these conditions are not included in the Finance Accounting Tax Procedure, where the conditions, which represent the same taxes but with different condition names, are defined for a certain Tax Code and Jurisdiction code.
Among the different SAP notes for the error relating the Jurisdiction code, there was one proposing to change the Condition Category from "D" (Taxes) to a value between "1 and 4". By doing this a new error appears while creating the order, saying that there are conditions in the Tax procedure (JRC1, JRC2)which are not included in the Sales Pricing procedure. By including this conditions in the Pricing procedure, the Tax Conditions existing in the Finance Accounting Tax Procedure are brought to the Order Conditions, in addition to the Sales Tax Conditions. And there is something more, each Tax Condition from the Finance Accounting Procedure appears twice, one with the application V (Sales) with value zero, and one with application TX (Taxes) with the value existing in the Finance Accounting Taxes Procedure. This is how at the end, the corresponding %value of the taxes is brought to the Invoice with the correct Tax Code, and the proper Jurisdiction Code, which is different for each condition.
Thank you very much for your time.

  • Defaulting Tax Code in the PO line item by Material Group

    Hi All,
How do I default the Tax code for the PO line item by material group in INDIRECT purchasing (without Material Number)
What is the config for this?
    Thanks in advance.

Not possible with mateiral group except you devvelope custom solution or try the following
    Do the config in thetcode
    OMKL
    OMKN
    OMKO
than maintain that for your conditon in MEK1.
In this section, you maintain the tax code determination facility.
Within the framework of the price determination process, it is possible
to have the tax code determined automatically via the conditions.
For the purposes of automatic tax code determination, tax indicators
derived from the material master record, Customizing, or the purchasing
document are used. The system determines the tax code on the basis of the
    combination of these tax indicators.
To assign a tax code to a combination of tax indicators, you must
maintain master conditions in Purchasing (menu options "Master data ->
    Taxes").
There are tax indicators at the levels "plant", "account assignment
    category" and "material".
In addition, there are two tax indicators that are derived from the
    purchasing document:
o  Country of origin and country of destination differ
o  Region of origin and region of destination differ
The assignments "tax indicator -> plant" and "tax indicator -> account
assignment category" must be made in Customizing.
Automatic tax code determination can be useful, for example, if different
tax rates apply depending on whether a material is placed in stock or is
    consumed immediately following its procurement.

  • DRQ: Different default warehouse for Sales,Purchase and Production Process

    Hi Experts,
In my recent Implementation Project I realised that there should be provision of capturing and using different default warehouse for Sales,Purchase and Production.
    For example in manufacturing company
    1. Default ware house for Purchase process should be QC ware house for raw material.
    2. Default ware house for Production process should be RM ware house for raw material (components).
    3. Default ware house for Production process should be QC ware house for Finished Good (Parent Item).
    4. Default ware house for Sales process should be FG ware house for Finished Good (Parent Item).
I hope the idea is clear, I am looking for 3 different set as default warehouse for each item in Item master Inventory tab.
Internally when a user create a document than default warehouse is to be picked up from this setting !
    Best Regards,
    Samir Gandhi

    Hi !
I guess the indicator "Exclusive" in the accessess of the access sequence can meet the requirement if I have note misunderstood the issue.
Press : F1 help on Exclusive Indicator -
    Indicator: Exclusive condition access
Controls whether the system stops searching for a record after the first successful access for a condition type within an access sequence.
    Thanks & Regards

  • MM Account determination with valuated/non valuated sales order stock!

    Hi All,
I have been trying to set up MM account determination in our project for sales order assigned POs.What I have observed is that when I have a PO with sales order assignment and according to requirement class (coming through reqt type) in sales order it is valuated sales order stock then in the PO we get the stock account determined through BSX key. But when it is non valuated sales order stock we get a different account assigned through GBB-VKA key. In both the cases the account assignment category in the PO is "E".
Can someone please explain what is the connection between valuated/non valuated sales order stock and MM account determination and if what is happening is right from account determination point of view?
    Regards,
    V S

    These are two different postings:
    BSX: stock posting
GBB: Offsetting entry for stock posting
    Stock posting (BSX)
This transaction is used for all postings to stock accounts. Such
    postings are effected, for example:
    -   In inventory management in the case of goods receipts to own
stock and goods issues from own stock
    -   In invoice verification, if price differences occur in
connection with incoming invoices for materials valuated at
moving average price and there is adequate stock coverage
    -   In order settlement, if the order is assigned to a material with
moving average price and the actual costs at the time of
settlement vary from the actual costs at the time of goods
        receipt
Offsetting entry for stock posting (GBB)
Offsetting entries for stock postings are used in Inventory
Management. They are dependent on the account grouping to which each
movement type is assigned. The following account groupings are
    defined in the standard system:
    -   VKA:     for sales order account assignment
(for example, for individual purchase order)

  • Default valuation type in sale order

    Hi,
We have some materials which are split valuated. We need to have default valuation type which will appear in the sale order when we create sale order for that material.
At present it looks that SAP does not have any provision to provide the valuation type defaults for sale order.
Does anybody know if we can set up default valuation types for sale order and how to do this?
Thank you for all your help.
    Thanks,
    -Shekhar

    Hi Shekhar
Please check wheteher split valuation is applicable for FG
Coz split valution is used in cases
Split valuation is necessary if, for example:
Stock from in-house production has a different valuation price than externally procured stock.
Stock obtained from one manufacturer is valuated at a different price than stock obtained from another manufacturer.
Different batch stocks of a material have different valuation prices.
Check whether the Valuation Class ,Catogory is assigned to the Valuation area.

  • Tax Code determination in Sales Order

    Hi Friends,
I have typical Business requirement.  For my client having a two systems - Legacy system & SAP ECC system.  Every time Sales Order is created in Legacy system and the same is replicated into SAP ECC.
During the replication, Tax code also derived from Legacy to SAP ECC.  If the Tax Code is coming from Legacy to SAP ECC, system should take Tax code of Legacy by overiding the Tax code determining in SAP ECC.
In short word, if Tax Code is deriving from Legacy, system should not derive the tax code from SAP ECC.
    Please help
    Regards
    Goutham

    Hi Goutham,
    Please follow the procedure.
    1. tax code convertion table is maintained in SAP ECC system.
example if A1 is the tax code in legacy system and Z1 is the tax code in SAP ECC system. maintain conversition table in SAP ECC system.
    2. if you want to use the same tax code in both system and display in the sales order, then first you have to add a tax code field in the VBAK table , second how the SAP ECC system recongnise the tax code logic you have to write in a receiving port of the idoc.
    thanks

  • Report for Sales and purchase tax (selection criteria-Tax code)

  • Determine of Tax Code for Country/Product Category - Table handling

    Dear Experts,
in SRM 7.0, CS, i am facing the following requirement regarding tax codes:
We have users from different countries using SRM. These different countries have different tax codes that are to be used for legal reasons.
My question is, how i can achieve a system behaviour, by which in the shopping cart, the correct tax codes gets selected automatically, based on the country of the user, who is creating the shopping cart.
    Question 1:
Is it correct to assume, that this requirement can be achieved by maintaining the "Determine of Tax Code for Country/Product Category" - Table?
    Q2:
What is the purpose of the 1st column of the above mentioned table, "Domestic/International Indicator"? Can it be left blank?
    Q3:
Is it possible to fill in the values for the field "Country" BUT to leave the field "Category ID" empty???The reason for asking it, that otherwise several hundreds entries would have to be maintaind manaully...
    Q4:
From where in the shopping cart or ppoma settings is the system fetching the Country code, in order to be able to use it in the table? Is there any specific attribute maintenance that has to be taken care of, so the above mentioned table can be used (e.g. delivery address, including the country information)?
Thank you very much for your help in understanding the topic.

    Hi
Here are my responses to your questions:
    Question 1:
Is it correct to assume, that this requirement can be achieved by maintaining the "Determine of Tax Code for Country/Product Category" - Table?
Answer -  If you have a requirement where different countries have different tax codes, then you do need this confiugration. Otherwise Configuraiton in Enter Tax Code  are sufficient.
    Q2:
What is the purpose of the 1st column of the above mentioned table, "Domestic/International Indicator"? Can it be left blank?
Answer - Sometimes you have different codes for International and Domestic purchases for a product Category. IN those situations you can select Domestic/International field to differentiate btw tax codes. Otherwise this field can be left blank
    Q3:
Is it possible to fill in the values for the field "Country" BUT to leave the field "Category ID" empty???The reason for asking it, that otherwise several hundreds entries would have to be maintaind manaully...
Answer - No, if you enter country, then Category Id field is mandatory. You may enter * in case you dont have multiple backend systems. otherwise you will ve to ve individual entries for each category and backend system.
    Q4:
From where in the shopping cart or ppoma settings is the system fetching the Country code, in order to be able to use it in the table? Is there any specific attribute maintenance that has to be taken care of, so the above mentioned table can be used (e.g. delivery address, including the country information)?
Answer - It is picked up from the address of the user where is will receive goods. and Domestic/International will be decided based on Vendor address with reference to thta address.
I hope my responses clarify your doubts.

  • Automatic tax code determination for service POs

    Hi
Can anyone tell  about the possibilities of automatic tax code determination for the service purchase orders.
    Thanks in advance
    Durai

The tax indicator is used in the automatic determination of the tax code
    in Purchasing.
The tax code can be determined automatically within the framework of tax
    determination (via the conditions).
Tax indicators, which can come from the service master record,
Customizing, or the purchasing document, are used in this process. The
system determines the tax code on the basis of the combination of these
    tax indicators.
Automatic determination of the tax code is useful, for example, if
different tax rates apply to different groups of services.
