  • Withholding Tax report for USA 1099 MISC

    Hi!
I have configured extended with holding tax as per sap note to generate 1099MISC report for USA.
Actually all with holding tax types have been defined for while payment posting, but system is deducting with holding tax the time of invoice posting itself.
as far as I knew we have to untick liable field in vendor master , while posting invoice and activate again while posting payment, but it is cumbersome process.
My client is expecting with holding tax to be deducted only at the time of payment posting.
I have checked with holding tax types while posting invoice, nothing is there , view  V_T059PI is blank.
still system is trying to post with holding tax at the time of invoice only.
Is there any other configuration to restrict with holding tax posting while doing invoice?

    ramesh

    Hi Ramesh,
please, review SAP Consulting Note 363650 - Withholding Tax Configuration for 1099MISC - this note might help you to solve the issue.

  • How SAP do tax filing for USA IRS

Does anyone know how to SAP integrate with US IRS for tax filing?
    Thanks

SAP can calculate sales and use tax and payroll tax by tax procedures or third party tools. You then would set up an EDI process to remit payment. For state and Federal tax returns this is done by third party tools.
psl assign points if helpful as a way to say thanks.

    Hi ,
you can proceed in the following way
    1) You would need to configure the tax procedure for USA copy  TAXUS  ( OBQ3)
    2)  have UTXJ condition in that
    3) create the tax codes for the different scenarios  FTXP
    4) also modify your pricing procedure if it does not have the UTXJ condition type ( V/08)
    5) Maintain the condition records to determine the releavant tax code vk11
    6) Run the cycle & check whether the applicable tax rates get picked up
    hope this helps
    Thanks

  • How to setup USE Tax for USA

    Hi guys
We recently got new scenario where we need to calculate USE Tax for interstate purchasing scenario.  Basically the interstate vendor is tax exempt but we need to accrue and remit to government ourselves.
Just looking for some tips for the setup.  I guess a new Tax Code is required but what about pricing procedure? (this tax is not added to PO total as we do not pay it to vendor.
We use TAXUSX procedure for USA.
Any help with experience is greatly appreciated.
    AC

It is generally advised to use a external tax engine for calculation of US Use and Sales tax because tax is calculated based Ship to Ship from locations and if a product is taxable or not. Within US tax is caluclated for multiple levels like state, city, town and county. Only external tax systems can handle such complex split. If you have a very small business then you can also configure TAXUSJ tax procedure which is jurisdiction based. you need to assign the %age for every jurisdiction.  I still say that use external tax engones like vertax, fabware or Sales tax office. External tax systems use TAXUSX tax procedure.

  • Does SAP ECC6 support advance tax return (rfumsv00)/GST reporting for USA a

Does SAP ECC6 support advance tax return (rfumsv00)/GST reporting for USA and Canada?

    Hello
    I think it does.
    However please check this
In some countries, you cannot use the general program for tax returns to create the annual tax return because of specific national reporting requirements. For these countries, SAP delivers additional country-specific programs to meet these reporting requirements.
For the individual country-specific reports, see the General Ledger menu under Reporting ® Tax Reports.
The program RFUSVX10 performs the data medium exchange, allowing you to transfer the DME file to a hard drive or diskette. You can find more information on this topic in the program documentation.

  • Tax pricing procedure for USA / Canada

    Dear All,
We are creating a new SD pricing procedures for USA and Canada..  I have few clarifications on this.
    1. May i know..what is the std pricing (inlculding the TAX condition type) for USA & Canada.
    2. I have gone through the IDES system and found there are 2 pricing procedure RVCXUS & RVAJUS.  What is the difference between these 2 pricing procedure..
Please help me to understand the purpose of having these above pricing procedures.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Mani

    Hello Mukul,
Thank you for your clarificaiton.  However, i am still having the following clarifications.
    1. Our client has confirmed that there is no tax in USA currently.   But, by considering the future requirement, we are planning to go ahead with Jurisdiction tax procedure.  Client may not use VERTEX system.   In this situation. could you suggest..which pricing procure is suitable to the requirement.
    2. For Canada... it is province/region based tax system.  I think..here.. i will not be having any problem.
Please help me for USA tax pricing procedure to have a proper pricing procedure..which covers.. the future requriement also.. (means.. with Jurisdiciton code)...
May i know.. where the Percentage is maintained for each jurisdiction code...?
    Thank you.

  • Different 'MWST' Tax rate for company codes with same country

    Hi Experts,
I am not an SD expert, but need some inputs on a requirement. We have the manual condition type 'MWST' for tax conditions and the 'MWST' rate is set for different countries.
We have Sales Organization 'A' and 'B' which are for the same country (JP) and the requirement is to have tax as 7% for Sales org 'A' and no tax (0%) for  'B' in billing for the same billing material . But when we set the tax classification in material master, for Sales Org 'B' and the billing material, the system automatically changes the classification for 'A' also to 0% since the tax classification is based on country and not sales organization. Here both the Sales org is for the same country 'JP'.
Is there any other way or configuration through which we can achieve this requirement ?
    Your thoughts are much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dhan

Well mate, Vemuri provide an alternative from FI point of view. From SD standing I'd suggest to work out the condition technique as this condition type (MWST) has an access sequence MWST (the same code) and it has 3 tables related:
    78 - Departure Country / Destination Country
    2 - Domestic Taxes
    11 - Export Taxes
What I can see is that you need to include the value Sales Organization in one of the tables.
NOW, IF YOU DONT WANNA MESS WITH THE CONFIG...
The customer has Tax indicators in its Sales Area Data, why don't you just set the value there to determine always 0% tax for the Sales Org you want?
    Look forward for your remarks.
    Saludos!
