Tax determination in billing

Hi All,
we have define pricing procedure in sales and distribution and the tax calculation procedure in finance.
Scenario is:-
Tax condition define in the Pricing procedure is.
Proc.     Step     Cntr     CTyp     From      To     Man.     SubTo     AltCBV     ActKy     Print     Description
YPOS04     900          YWS1     10     10          M          YWS     X     Local Tax (POS)
Tax condition define in the calculation procedure for vat(output tax) is:-
Proc.     Step     Cntr     CTyp     From      To     Stat     ActKy     Print     Description
YTAXIN     690          YIN2     590     590          YS4          IN: AR VAT Payable
YTAXIN     700          YIN1     590     590          YS6          IN: AR S.T Payable
I have created Y1 tax code in which I have specify the 4% vat output tax infront of YIN2 condition type and YS4 account key.
After that I specify output tax G/L in OB40 in YS4 account key with Y1 tax code combination.
after that sales guy create condition record in vk11 with the comination of YWS1 (condition type), region, Account assingnment group for customer, account assignment group for article and tax code Y1.
YWS1 condition is defined in the Pricing procedure.
here our problem is that when we are posting the sale than system through the error that G/L account is not defined for account key YWS, which is defined in the pricing procedure.. but system should check the G/L which is linked with the YS4 account key which is defined in the calculation procedure.
Please clarify that how system pick the G/L account and from which account key.
after this error message we define YWS (pricing account key) in tax on sales and purchase under (check and change settings for tax processing) than I assign the output tax G/Ls in the YWS key with combination of tax codes.
than system picks the same g/Ls which is defined in the Yws key for tax..
Is it the right method?
please clarify where we are missing. and what is the right procedure to caputure the tax.
appreciate you reply.

  • EU Consignment issue - Tax determination during billing

    Hi Experts,
We have a consignment setup with a customer in DE and the delivery plant is located in NL.
During customer billing the system determines the delivering plant country as the departure country for taxes. So whilst the consingment stock is located in DE in the customer consignmnet warehouse, SAP determines the taxes as if the country is NL and applying the export taxes.
We want to apply the domestic VAT of DE, as the stock is already available in the country DE. How can we modify the system to determine the departure country as DE (customer consignment warehouse) instead of delivery plant (NL).
We don't have plants abroad configured in our system.
    Regards,
    Rama

    Hi,
The goods issue sets up a special stock at the customer's.The stock is physically availlabe at customer site. However, the goods remain in the valuated stocks of the delivering plant. This transaction isn't billed because the consignment stock remains the property of your company.
When goods are issued, both the customer special stock and the stock in the delivering plant are reduced. This transaction is relevant for billing. In the billing dep country (country of your plant) and dst country copied from consignment fill up.Which is NL---DE.
Solution---Manually you can change dept country as DE in consignment fill up.Actually not true.
Suggestion:But the above solution could lead to discrepency in the vat report.

  • Tax determination for delivery charge

    Hi,
We are using SAP IS Retail wherein actual sales is being sent out to SAP from web-site using Idoc type WPUBON.
WPUBON IDOC is processed in SAP and billing document and accounting documents are created. This IDOC will carry the information of the articles that were sold and the delivery charges for dispatching the articles to customer.
In normal scenario, VAT is applicable for article as well as the delivery charge and is taken care by the standard pricing procedure by accessing MWST condition. Tax code is derived from article master. VAT is calculated based on article price and delivery charge and posted into corresponding tax GL account (VAT amount for delivery charge is calculated based on tax class of article).
We have a scenario where some articles are sold with tax exemption at website to disabled customers. Even though the article price is exempted for tax, delivery charge is taxable as per government rules.
When this sales data comes into SAP the corresponding IDOC u2013 WPUBON has a tax code (E u2013 Exempted) against this article. This overrides the tax code maintained in article master while posting the billing document (Thought article is fully taxable as per master records, no tax is calculated when billing document is posted). Till this point we have no problem. As mentioned above, we want the tax to be calculated for delivery charge and posted to the tax GL account, which is not happening as the tax code applied for the article is also applied for delivery charge by default.
Is there any way in configuration to change the tax determination only for delivery charge?
Any pointer in this would be of great help.

    Hi
You can create and use a new tax code which is applicable only for Delivery charge cases.
Use a new pricing condition type for this Tax .and condition records with access sequence and tax code can be amintianed only for this condition type.
You will have to modify pricing procedure for the same.
Depending on condition records and document inputs the tax values for delivery will get triggered.
You can also put an order reason in Accounting determination access sequence through which on This special sales ,
    account determiantion can be changed.
    hope this helps

  • Another tax determination code being picked up along with right tax determination code during creation of BBP

    Hi Experts,
There is an issue I am facing while creating BBP, the slices in table DFKKMOP are having another tax determination code being picked up along with the right tax detemination code.
E.g. -> In EK02 for the BBP I have configured tax determination code ZA for main 0051 and sub 0050 for all the company codes, but it is also picking ZX  which I have configured for main 100 - sub 202,203 , main - 200 sub 202,203 , main 300- sub 202,203.
Strangely In the table DFKKMOP the tax determination code ZX is coming in the line which has main 0051 and sub 0050.
I dont understand why ZX is being shown in the field BB grouping - Budget Billing: Grouping Key for Tax Determination Code.
I have double checked the customizing in EK02 and I dont find this tax determination code being defined for main 0051/sub 0050, then why is it being picked up for BBP line item in table DFKKMOP.
    Any suggestions are appreciated.

Well the issue was during creation of BBP items in DFKKMOP the VAT corresponding to Main/Sub 100/ 3xx was being picked up and when I adapted the tax determination code there. The items was created without any split.
For the second one PA issue, well in this case the tax determination in the standard during the creation of PA invoice via EA27 is happening on the date of execution and not on the selection date or posting date. This is because in SPRO the config. of invoicing <<Define Basic Settings for Invoicing>>
has <<Date type for tax determination in Invoicing for Part. Bills.>> set to <<tax determination in invoicing based on entry date>> that is why it takes the execution date into  consideration. So even when we do a posting for SOLLDAT in future to take another tax code it doesnt take that SOLLDAT instead takes todays execution date for which the new tax code is not valid.
To overcome this issue either we need to make the new tax code valid from date in past ie. before the date of execution or we need to change this parameter in customizing <<Define Basic Settings for Invoicing>> to <<tax determination in invoicing based on Posting date>>.
    Voilà!

  • Tax determination third party process

    Hi all,
I need to re-determined taxes during invoice creation for a third party sales flow.
    To explain the case:
    SO: company 1000 Country XX
PO: company 1000 Departure country YY
    Invoice SO: tax determination as:
         Departure country YY
         Arrival county XX
At the moment the SAP consider as deaprture country XX and not YY.
In which way the system can consider as departure country the country of the vendor and not the one of the sales organization?
Let me know if you need further information.
    Thank you in advance,
    Manuele

While Tax determinations--any way you are going to take the region of the delivering plant(not sales org)
If you maintain tax classifications for customer and Material--maintain the Tax rates which will take care of Tax in sales order.
Any way your vendor will bill to you not to customer--So if you follow the first Two points--which will take care of Tax.
I think coding corrections here--may not be suggestible.
    Pl update.

  • Multiple tax code in billing document

    Hi all,
Is there way to maintain more than one tax code in billing document? if yes, how should we enter the 2nd Tax code?
    Please advise

    Hello,
in TAXINN, the Tax Codes are determined from Condition Records (VK11).
Thus if you have multiple Tax Codes say for one Tax Code for Sales Tax (VAT or CST) & another Tax Code for Edu. Cess & HE Cess, you need to maintain the necesary Tax Codes in Condition Records for Tax & Cess & maintain GL Account determination in OB40 & system will do the needful.
    Hope this helps,

  • Automatic determination of billing date on order related billing

    Dear all,
    Some background:
We are using resource related billing: create standing sales order with WBS as reference.
Costs are posted to the WBS (serves as a bucket to collect costs).
Whenever needed, the costs on the WBS are billed. This is done via transaction DP91, creating a billing request for the standing sales order which generates a new sales order which takes the amount from the WBS element. This sales order can then be billed.
In other words: Each period, the standing sales order can be billed (based on the WBS element it contains) in a new sales order.
    Problem:
The billing date is derived from the 'requested delivery date' on the sales order.
We would like to have by default proposed by the system as billing date: the date when the (2nd) sales order and/or billing document is generated. So either date of billing should be the billing date or the requested delivery date (which will then automatically determine the billing date)
    How can this be achieved?
    What I tried:
1). I have ticket the flag "Propose delivery date", but this doesn't seem to be the solution.
2). Factory calender is only to be used in case a specific date should be used (e.g. last day of the week/month). I don't think we need this, as we could just go for "todays date" during (2nd) sales order/billing document creation.
3). I checked the copy control properties, but this is not really an option I think.
    Many thanks!

    HI, Boiler
I suggest you to check the copy control again.
As I known, there is a Routin setting for data transfer (Data VBRK/VBRP) in the item level. And you can use standard routin 11 means Bill. date= Today.
    Hope it can help you.

  • Function of Tax code in tax determination

1.What is the function of Tax code in tax determination, and where it is assigned ?
2.What is the use of VAT registration number in Control Tab page in Cusomer master ? Does it effect the tax determination in a transaction ?

    Hi Sunil,
    1.  Tax code determines the percentage of tax on purchases
    Steps for Tax determination:
      Define Condition Types
Define Procedures --- You need to define the tax calculation procedure for your country
Select the calculation procedure / control data------- give the Procedure for tax determination
You create the tax code at Tcode-- FTXP
There you provide the tax percentages for the tax code
Define the tax account the Account key (OB40), which will be an account determination
    2. VAT registration No in customer master will be used for any kind of tax exemptions if applicable
There can be impact inthe tax determination as the customer is entitled for the exemption.
    Award points if useful,,
    Thanks and regards,

  • Exchange rate determination on Billing Date

    Hello,
We have a problem with respect to exchange rate re-
determination - on billing date at the invoice level.
Currently in our system the Exchange rate is being determined on the
pricing date at the sales order level. When we create the invoice the
exchange rate at the header level (VBRK-KURRF) is getting re-determined
    on the billing date.
However the problem is the exchange rate at the item level (VBRP-KURSK)
& exchange rate with respect to amount currency level (KOMV-KKURS).
In order to re-determine exchange rates at item level (KOMV-KKURS) - we have done the
configuration for exchange rate type field in Copy control settings at
    VTFL/VTFA should be u201CCu201D.
But however, the system is determining the pricing exchange rate (KOMV-KKURS) on the pricing date, and not on the billing date.
We have also applied the note 92613. In spite of making the changes the pricing date is not being re-
determined to u201Cbilling dateu201D for exchange rate calculation at conditioncurrency level.
Can you please let us know, how can we have the pricing exchange rate (KOMV-KKURS), be determined on the billing date and not on the pricing date. Do we have a configuration for this? Or is some change in any user exit is required. Please suggest.
    Best Regards,
    Priya Gor.

    Hi All,
I am having the same kind of issue.
My requirement is if the condition currency is different than Document currency (which is also local currency) the system should re-determine the exchange rate in billing as per current date.
Could you please suggest me how KOMV-KKURS will be redetermined in billing as per current date?
As you know copy control TVCPFLP-PFKUR filed will be applicable for VBRP-KURSK but for my requirement it is not needed.
Is there any copying requirement required or any user exit in Billing document ?
Please share if anyone having any info for this.
    Thanks
    Amar

  • Enhacement: tax determination in invoice correction

    Hello!
I have to set tax determination in invoice correction, according to: "Tax clasyfication material" (TAXM1) but importing from preceding invoice (VBRP), not from master data.
How would you solve this problem?

    Hi,
You have changed the master before the preceding document has been created i guess, in that case it will be picked up from the preceding document.
What ever master data you have will only impact on the new documents which you create and not on the old documents.
    Thanks,

  • Deactivate country from sales/purchase tax determination

    Hello,
We are facing a typical problem in tax, We have a requiement to deactivate tax for some countries and these countries are not relevant for any sale/purchase tax. For that, we removed the country from define tax determination rules in sales & distribution->basic functions. However when we exectute the intercompany delivery, system showing the various error messages as attached in detail.
The reason we removed the countries since tax classfication view not needed in customer/material master view if the countries are not relevant for tax.
    Kindly suggest.
    Best Regards,
    Goutham

Even if any customer or country is exempted from tax, dont hide from the respective masters.
What I would recommend is that you have a separate tax (as like exports) and assign to a combination of destination country and origin country as tax exempt, in VK11.
    thanks

  • Remove message from message determination in billing docs

I want to generate an SD billing document ONLY if another message is not determined to the some document.
I'm determining the billing message type to be printed by Sales Organization.
I started to send Electronic Invoices to some partners, and I want to Not generate the ZRD0 message to the document if another message (ZRDI EDI document)exists (is determined) for that document.
Is there any easy way to do this? Is there any user-exit in SD billing document where I can test the existence of a message and delete other message from NAST?
    Thank you
    Best regards

    Hi,
in the IMG, you can define a requirement in the access sequence related to your document (where your output type is determined). This requirement is in fact a piece of code where you define whether you want to generate the output or not.
It's a kind of user-exit during the output determination. As you have there access to fields of KOMKBV3, you should be able to check NAST with correct parameters.
I think you can try this...
