Tax Information - Irish guy living in the US.

Hi all,
I'm living in Massachusetts, and am developing apps for the store while i'm here in my spare time.
I was transferred here by my company from Ireland , in Oct 2008.
I have no idea which form i should be filling out to get my apps up for sale on the store.
I've submitted the same questions to the "contact us" section of the ADC, but i thought i would throw it out there in case anyone had any advice.
I am an Irish citizen.
On an L1 Intracompany Transfer VISA (3-5 years)
Living in the US since October 2008.
Have an SSN.
Have submitted a US Tax Return for 2008.
Have Irish Bank account and credit cards.
Have US Bank account and credit cards.
Any insights on what i should be doing, let me know.
Thanks

The short answer: Find a good CPA.
But I'm not known in this forum for short answers so I'll explain this insight.
Up until 15 years ago I used to nickel and dime my financial advice. April 15 was typically a nightmare, and then for a few years I spent May and June filling out IRS forms to consolidate my payment plan into a new one. My life changed when a friend sent me to his CPA, a guy who had reversed my friend's bank levy in a matter of hours. Since then I don't understand how anyone who isn't on food stamps would want to live in this country without a CPA.
Please don't bother writing to explain you're on a W-2, you don't own any real property and you might be shipped to another country in 6 weeks, just take this advice, ok? And remember to log back into this forum in Oh-10 to thank us.

  • Withholding tax information

    Hello Friends,
    With respect to withholding tax Iu2019m facing difficulty to map the below user requirement.
    User want to incorporate the withholding tax (WHT) information at purchase order level, but in the purchase order we can't find any such provision to input withholding tax information.
    Standard system behavior is that if vendor is subject to WHT, WHT can be calculated at invoice verification level.
    We have to cater the below 2 scenarios, guys please provide your expert advice on this:
    1. WHT information is to be maintained at PO so that the person making VIV will not commit any error in selecting the tax code or will not make the invoice without inputting the relevant WHT information to avoid invoice being created without WHT on invoices subject to WHT.
    2. In a purchase order there are more then one line items some are subject to WHT and some are not, we want to capture the WHT on the items liable for WHT.
    We know that WHT is not calculated on item level it is calculated at header level on vendor.
    Thanks

    Hi Sapref,
    1. WHT information is to be maintained at PO so that the person making VIV will not commit any error in selecting the tax code or will not make the invoice without inputting the relevant WHT information to avoid invoice being created without WHT on invoices subject to WHT.
    Ans : What you want to ensure at the P.O. level is actually controlled at the Vendor master level and whichever P.O. you use.. if it is maintained in the vendor master, it will deduct TDS at the time of Invoice.. so there is no chance of committing any mistake.. if it is once maintained in vendor master data. Further there is no provision in SAP to maintain TDS Tax codes at the P.O. level
    2. In a purchase order there are more then one line items some are subject to WHT and some are not, we want to capture the WHT on the items liable for WHT.
    Ans : You are correct, that TDS is at the vendor level and not at the line item level. But Suppose you have an Invoice, which contains two line items, one on which TDS is to be calculated and the other on which TDS is not to be calculated, then at the header level in MIRO, you can enter the Witholding Tax Base amount and the TDS amount manually, and it will get calculated accurately.

    I was given this address from the Apple customer support team.
    I have an active existing iTunes store account and use the same Apple ID for signing into my iTunes Connect Account that distributes Apps.

    Hi Lrwill,
    If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
    Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
    Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?
    Cheers,

  • How to retrieve and use BP's tax information in PLD

    Hi all,
    Iam trying to retrieve BP's tax information into A/R invoice print layout designer.
    But BP's tax information is stored as a variable in BP master data form, more over in A/RInvoice to tax detail of BP is shown in form with different Form id from that of A/RInvoice. Please help me out to solve this problem.
    Regards,
    Mini.

    Hi Mini,
    You can also try to list more tables if the required table is not in the list. When you open the PLD hold down your Alt key while clicking the drop down arrow in the table drop down list. This will show all tables. You must do this before you do anything else so if you have the window open, close it and open the PLD again.
    Hope it helps,

  • No tax information exists for billing document

    Hi
    We have a problem. In our scenario, we create a service order followed by service confirmation and bill from service confirmation. All prices including taxes are maintained in r/3. prices and taxes are picked in the service confirmation also.
    When we create an invoice from crm (CRM billing), the correct price and tax is picked . But when we try to maintain billing documents, we get an error as follows.
    " No tax information exists for billing document 90000108-0000000010, condition type JIVC". Document are not getting posted to R/3.
    JIVC is the tax condition type created in r/3 and downloaded to crm. GL account determination settings have been maintained in CRM.
    However when i do a billing in CRM without tax, accounting documents are generated and hitting the right GL account. Also, when we do a billing in in r/3, the tax is hitting the right GL account.
    I have not maintained any TTE settings in CRM. Are TTE settings required at all in this scenario? If so could you inform what needs to be done.?
    We are on CRM 5.0 and R/3 4.7.
    Thanks and regards
    Bhaskaran

    V/06 – JIVC copy of JLST (A/R CST Payable VAT) & change condition category to ‘D’ & Access Sequence ‘MWST’
    OBQ1 - JIVP copy of JLST (A/R VAT Payable)

    Define Account Key JN6,JN7 & JN8 (T.Code: OBCN & also in SD)
    IMG> Financial Accounting> Taxes on Sales and Purchases> Basic Setting> Check & change setting for Tax Processing (OBCN)

  • Witholding Tax Information system (J1INMIS) Not updating (FICA)

    Hi Experts,
       We are using ECC 6.0 recently we upgrated with EHP 5. And the current system (FICO) is working fine with TDS calculations and Witholding Tax Information system (J1INMIS) gets updated perfectly.
    We are implimenting FICA (student Accounting). FICA has a provision to calculate the TDS so all TDS Calculations done in FICA.
    While we transfer the data from FICA to FICO all GL's gets update even TDS GL also getting update. But when I Check the Report Witholding Tax Information system (J1INMIS) the TDS calculated from FICA is note appearing in this report. But appearing in TDS GL's.
    I assume  FICO system will not have any Vendor information because In FICO all vendor balances will get update to only reconciliation key as vendor are in FICA system.
    Another problem is how I can take TDS Certificates for vendors If the Tax Information system doesn't update.
    Please suggest.....

    We have created a vendor invoice in SAP. The voucher processed and paid has withholding tax of 1,333.00
    But if you display the vendor invoice and click on the withholding tax data button, it says that withholding tax information missing from line item.
    Kindly advise how could this happen when the vendor account has maintains withholding tax code and the payment document also has withholding tax information.
    Thanks,
    Ellicec

    Dear,
    Please check the following:
    1. The withholding tax types and indicators must be defined as Liable'.
    Please check this via vender master data (fk02).
    2.Please check field status group for withholding tax fields in
    transactions OB14 (inserting the field status variant of the Company Code oby6 and the field status group of the g/l account that You can find running FS00) and OB41 (posting key, in DP case 29). Check the account group for the GL account
    assigned to the vendor reconciliation account in FBKP.
    These should be set as "optional".
    Select group --> Taxes
    Suppress Req. Entry Optional Entry

  • Problem with MRM_INVOICE_CREATE,Debit Notes and Withholding Tax Information

    Hi!
    I have a problem with MF MRM_INVOICE_CREATE.
    We use this MF to create a Debit Note. The problem is that the Debit Note is created without the withholding tax information.
    I send the info in this parameter: i_rbkpv-h_rbws.
    Do you have any idea? I couldn't find any information about this. I tried an alternative solution using a batch-input but we had some problems with user permitions (this MF is called from a Z RFC that is called from an ASP application).
    Thanks in advance!
    Bettina

    Hey, thanks.
    I send your solution to the person who was trying to solve this problem.
    For sure will solve the problem because, in a previous version, we were using the bapi you told me. For some unknown reason, they changed for the MRM_INVOICE_CREATE.
    Thanks a lot!

    This is the code I have written In my template.
    User is filling credit card details from the UI.
    Please validate the following approach.
    <br>FirstName:<dsp:input bean="CreateCreditCardFormHandler.creditCard.billingAddress.firstName" beanvalue="Profile.billingAddress.firstName" size="30" type="text"/>
    <br>MiddleName:<dsp:input bean="CreateCreditCardFormHandler.creditCard.billingAddress.middleName" beanvalue="Profile.billingAddress.middleName" size="30" type="text"/>
    <br>LastName:<dsp:input bean="CreateCreditCardFormHandler.creditCard.billingAddress.lastName" beanvalue="Profile.billingAddress.lastName" size="30" type="text"/>
    <br>EmailAddress:<dsp:input bean="CreateCreditCardFormHandler.creditCard.billingAddress.email" beanvalue="Profile.email" size="30" type="text"/>

                <dsp:input bean="CreateCreditCardFormHandler.newCreditCardErrorURL" type="hidden" value="co_confirm.jsp"/>
                <dsp:input bean="CreateCreditCardFormHandler.newCreditCard" type="hidden" value="Enter Credit Card"/>

                <dsp:input bean="AuctionPaymentGroup.paymentGroupErrorURL" type="hidden" value="error.jsp"/>
    I have customized CreateCreditCardFormHandler and added below code.
    public boolean handleAddPaymentDetailsToOrder(DynamoHttpServletRequest pRequest,DynamoHttpServletResponse pResponse) throws ServletException,

             String pOrder=getOrder1();
            try{

                Order order = orderManager.loadOrder(pOrder);
                System.out.println("orderManager----"+order.getId());
                PaymentGroupManager paymentGroupManager=(PaymentGroupManager)pRequest.resolveName("/atg/commerce/order/PaymentGroupManager");
                System.out.println("paymentGroupManager----"+paymentGroupManager.getAbsoluteName());
                //Create the PaymentGroup
                PaymentGroup paymentGroup = paymentGroupManager.createPaymentGroup();
                //Add the PaymentGroup to the Order
                paymentGroupManager.addPaymentGroupToOrder(order, paymentGroup);
            }catch(Exception ex)
                ex.printStackTrace();
            return true;
    In the next templates I just want to display  billing details which added by the user .

  • Tax Code does not exist in the system (T007A)

    Hi All
    When we try to create a receipt for a particular expense type in ESS Travel & Expenses, we get the follwing error "Tax code Z0 does not exist in the system (T007A)". Upon creating a tax code Z0 it gives the following error "Tax code does not exist in the system (T007A)". When we change the Receipt currency to USD instead of Bristish Pound it gets accepted without the error. It works perfectly fine when expense report created using GUI. The error occurs only when we create the expense report using Portal ESS T&E. I was not able to find anything related to this in the SDN. If any of you could help me out, that would be great.
    Thanks, Raj

    Hello Mr. Raj!
    I checked the related issues that other customers reported.
    I came up with a list of things you can try that may help you solve your issue.
    a) Check if the field V_706D_B-LAND1 is filled with the home country in the IMG step 'Define Global Settings'. So may I ask you to check. Moreover, if this is not the reason, may I also ask you, if you get the same error when using our backend test transaction PR_WEB_1200? Thank you,
    b) Could you please check that you don't have any expense type with value "  "(blank) in the tax code field in V_T706B1?
    c) Apply Note 1129853 - Web: Input tax code for credit card receipts
    d) Please follow in IMG:
    Financial Accounting
    Travel Management
      Travel Expenses
       Master Data
        Control Parameters for Travel Expenses
         Define Global Settings
    Input Tax
    Country                                       { Your country here }
    Enter an input tax code for 0% input tax  [    ] <<<
    If here it's blank, this must be filled with a tax code. I found this out when I set the field "Input Tax per Travel Expense" then I get a warning "Enter an input tax code for 0% input tax".
    The reason for this is that in your system, you don't have a "blank" tax code and it looks for this entry. Please kindly define a tax code in this setting.
    I hope I was able to help you with this information.

  • Individual Account Migration to Company Account Tax Information?

    Good Evening All!
    When I originally enrolled (like many of you, im sure) I was setup as an individual/sole prop., and setup my tax information with my personal social security info...  Mind you I havent submitted an app, but now i am about to.  While in the development process, I have setup my own LLC, and have finished 90% of the migration process from individual to company. I have faxed off my Cert. of Organization to ADC for verification of my business, and on the time line this appears to be about it...however my main concern is, will i be able to use my new EIN# for tax purposes at the end of this migration (moreless will i be accepting new contracts)?  As I havent put anything out for sale yet, and would like all sales to go through my EIN# and not my social.
    I do hope i explained this right, and i thank you all for your time!

    Hi,
    Thank you for the response! The multi-pass IMAP migration seems the way to go indeed. I am planning on using premium licenses of MigrationWiz so it should be a breeze, no?
    Another question, seems like we are going to go with MS Office 365. Will I be able to add our domain (which is currently used with Yahoo!) to MS Office 365 and make the same accounts as on the Yahoo! mail server? For Example, if I have a mail account at
    Yahoo! like [email protected], will I be able to create the same account on Ms Office 365, while the domain is also in use by Yahoo! ?
    Then I`ll probably be able to migrate everything and change the MX record?
    Thank you.
