TCP Socket Adapter

I want to use BPEL to integrate Oracle CRM with some banking software that validates bank sort codes and account numbers. The banking validation software listens for an input stream on a TCP socket.
Can anyone tell me where I can find the technology socket adapter that are referenced on a number of Oracle presentations?
I know I could write code in Java to achieved the same effect, but if there is an adapter that can do the job then that is preferable.

I too am looking for this. I see that one of the posters above mentions an item provided by oracle, more details would be appreciated.
In the mean time, I think the way to go is to write a POJO that sits on the the tcp port and gets into the ESB via a message queue, allowing it to "send an event" if you will.
The scenario where you want to go outbound to tcp might be a bit trickier, if I use the POJO approach, then my code is outside of the ESB, since the ESB would end by dumping to a message queue, and my POJO would pick up from there.
It would be really nice to have an Oracle component specificially for TCP.

TCP/IP adapter + BizTalk with aysnchnrous request

This is my scenario:
I have a Console App A which is Asynchronous Client(get the link from http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bew39x2a(v=vs.110).aspx).It is sending a
NCPDP message to a another Console App B which is Asynchronous Server(get the http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fx6588te(v=vs.110).aspx).
I am getting the NCPDP message from database.
Now I want to send this NCPDP message to BizTalk Server through TCP/IP adapter.BizTalk will send this message to another Console App C which is Asynchronous Server
(get the http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/fx6588te(v=vs.110).aspx).This server will send the NCPDP message to a another Console App D which is Asynchronous
Client.This Console App D will get the response(new NCPDP message) from DB according to coming NCPDP message and send it to App C.App C will send this response to
BizTalk Server through TCP/IP adapter.And BizTalk will send this response to App B and App B will send this response to App A.
But the problem is that untill I get the response from BizTalk, I am unable to send another request from console app A to app B.
I want that BizTalk process multiple request at the same time.
I want that My console app A will not wait for BizTalk response to send another request.
How it is possible ?

I have to ask again why you're doing it this way since this is the third or fourth time you've asked about this scenario and the situation really hasn't changed.
I'll first point out that the names of those samples are a bit ambiguous and very easy to misinterpret.
The first link is not an "Asynchronous Client". It is a single threaded client that uses an
asynchronous TCP socket. Big difference. The client itself as a whole, specifically the StartClient() method is a synchronous operations, note the three ManualResetEvents.
For clarity, this is not a problem with BizTalk.
To get what you want, your main client program would have to create and manage multiple instances of AsynchronousClinent, each managing a connection internally. However, at that point, it's important to note that the Synchronous Client
Socket sample will give you the same behavior since the request/response pattern is by nature a synchronous operation.
I will also restate my recommendation to take the functionality of the socket Server and implement it in BizTalk directly.

Error in using the Socket Adapter while deploying the composite

I am going through a Socket Adapter sample given in Oracle JCA Adapters for Sockets"Oracle Socket Adapter Hello World".
This sample demonstrates inbound request/response and synchronous outbound request/response modes of communication using using Oracle Socket Adapter.
The HelloWorld business process takes an input string from the Socket Adapter inbound service and
publishes the message to the BPEL process.
The BPEL process invokes the Socket Adapter outbound service and returns the received string using synchronous reply.
Before going into this sample i did the configuration in the Weblogic server by following the steps below:-
1)Log into Weblogic server console
2)Click Deployments in the left pane for Domain Structure
3)Click Socket Adapter.The settings for SocketAdapter page is displayed.
4)Click the configuration tab
5)Click the Outbound Connection Pools tab, and expand java.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory to see connection
factories
6)Click eis/socket/SocketAdapter
7)Set the KeepAlive connection property to true
8)Save the setting.
After this i did the necessary configurations in the Socket Adapter Configuration Wizard(Inbound/Outbound).
The BPEL process has:-
1)A receive which receives input from a Socket Adapter which serves as an inbound synchronous service.
2)An invoke acitvity which invokes a socket adapter which serves as a outbound synchronous service.
3)Two Assign activites to do the necessary assignment.
After Deploying the sample i encountered with the following errors:-

TCP Socket connection in CLOSE_WAIT status and not getting closed

I am facing an issue with the TCP socket connections not getting closed and they are in CLOSE_WAIT status for ever.
As a part of batch process in our application, emails are sent with 4 embedded images. These images are downloaded from 3rd party site with IP say "UUU.XXX.YYY.ZZZ"
The images are embedded to email as follows
1. An URL object is created with the site url.

2.     The image cid is created with the URL object and the image name

When a mail is sent, 4 new TCP connections are opened and are put in CLOSE_WAIT status for ever. For every mail sent 4 new connections are opened. In UNIX there is an upper limit on the number of open file handles (defaults to 1024) at any point of time. The open TCP connection has the underlying socket in CLOSE_WAIT status and is not getting closed at all. When the upper limit (1024) is reached the batch process is throwing the following exception and terminates.

I tried 2 solutions
1. Got the HttpURLConnection from the URL object and invoked disconnect method on the same. But it doesn�t work.
2. Ran the batch process java program with the parameter �Dhttp.keepAlive=false to close the underlying connection but didn�t help.
I need the underlying sockets to be closed and not put in CLOSE_WAIT status after sending the mail.
Is it the problem with the embed method of HtmlEmail object not closing the underlying socket connection.
If anyone has faced this issue before, kindly let me know the possible solutions for the same ASAP.

This sounds more like a problem due to connection pooling at middle tier/application server.
If that has been ruled out, then you might to enable DCD or set expiry time on the server.

Socket Adapter Request-Reply ~ Error occured in processing client request ~

Dear Friends,
Need your help in resolving a Issue regarding Socket Adapter Request/Reply.
We have a requirement to recieve Message from a External Vendor using Socket based communication,to achieve this Created a Process which has Socket Adapter Inbound Synchronous Request-Reply. I have also created a sample Outbound Service to test and it was able to send & Receive Message Sucessfuly .
When i try to Recieve a Message from the External Vendor on Port 8008 in this I am unable to receive the message(No Bpel Instance Created) message coming to the SOA Server, in the logs I can see Below Error-

Hi,
You don't need a NSXD (Native Format Builder) to receive a message that is XML already, and the NXSD you listed above has nothing to do with the sample incoming message. So, no surprises it is complaining "Error while trying to translate from native.".
You have to fix the incoming message element on the Socket Adapter.

Socket Schema Translation Error when trying to use Socket Adapter in BPEL

I am trying to use Socket Adapter in BPEL.
I made 2 SOA Projects
SOA Application Project 1: Socket Server (Inbound Synchronous Request/Reply). The option for ‘Native Format translation is not required(Schema is Opaque)’ is unchecked .i.e. XSD is given for both request/reply
SOA Application Project 2: Socket Client (Outbound Synchronous Request/Reply). The option for ‘Native Format translation is not required(Schema is Opaque)’ is unchecked .i.e. XSD is given for both request/reply
Socket Client which is exposed as Web Service invokes Socket Server.

I got exactly the same error. I recently installed BPEL Process Manager for Developers 10g Release 2 (10.1.2) in windows XP.
The default setting for BPEL VM memory is Xms512m -Xmx512m -Xmn300m. I tried to set maximum size to 1024 but I had this error.
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
if any body can suggest a solution will be great .

Problems sending files throught TCP sockets

I would like to transfer a file throught a tcp socket, here there is what the sender program does :

Your problem is probably related to the use of available. This is the amount that is currently in the buffer that you can read without blocking. For network programming you should expect to have to wait for data. Second, you are copying the data one byte at a time which is not very efficient. Try something like:

TCP sockets on MIDP over GPRS

Extending the CLDC socket.Protocol class I can make a TCP socket connection from a MIDlet. I'm hoping to market my application on GPRS networks, but I'm not sure that it supports TCP connections. I've read that TCP runs on circuit switching networks, and UDP on packet switching networks. I think GPRS is the latter. I need to maintain a constant, "connection-oriented" socket - i.e. TCP. Does anyone happen to know whether TCP/IP will function properly over GPRS? I realise this is why MIDP only implements HTTP and not raw sockets, but I thought it was worth asking anyway. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

and what are the sockets? what is the difference between CLDC socket and J2SE Socket?
is there any other way to communicate with a Servlet?

is there a difference if it's using GPRS or 3G?
would the http connection work for all? and just the connection speed would change?

You send and receive it in the same way as you handle any binary data.
