Team concept in Team shopping cart functionality?

Dear Experts,
What does 'Team' Concept indicates in team shopping cart functionality in SRM 7.0?
As per my understanding, if a purchaser creates a team shopping cart, it can be taken over by other members of the purchasing group to which the creator belongs?
Is it correct? What are the other scenarios of team shopping cart? If a team shopping cart is used in a project scenario so that a member of the project group creates a shopping cart, the same shopping cart can be viewed and edited by other members of of the project. How we can implement such scenarios with team shopping cart?
Your feedback is highly appreciated.
Thanks and regards,
Ranjan

  • Team shopping cart functionality in SRM 7.0

    Dear Experts,
Could you please help me to understand how team shopping cart is different from shopping cart created by individual requestor?
I have checked some existing team shopping cart in our test system. The only difference I observed is that in case of team shopping cart, the receipient is an org unit.
The org unit being a receipient, all the employees of the org unit can see the shop in their inbox.
Am I correct? If It is so, what other differences such shopping cart with a shopping cart requested by an individual?
    Thanks and regards,

  • Team Shopping Cart functionality in SRM7.0

    Hi,
We are implementing SRM7.0 and we activated the Team Purchasing functionality. We have set the purchasing substitutes, for a requestor. We notice that Take Over function works only when the Shopping Cart is in Saved/Held status.
By reading the SAP documentation on Team Purchasing we were excited, but this Take Over functiona does not work for Shopping Carts in Awaiting Approval. That means if the Shopping Cart is partially rejected , the workitem goes back to the requestor , and the substitute cannot take over the shopping cart (when the requestor is on vacation)
Is there a way to Take Over SC from POWL by the substitute when the SC is still in awaiting approval?
Also we noticed that when the SC is completely approved and PO is created in the backened , the SC caanot be taken Over by the substitute. This might be required when confirmation / Invoice needs to be done in SRM and the requestor is on vacation.
    Thanks
    Sukumar

    Hello Sukumar,
I can shed a light on your last question:
Also we noticed that when the SC is completely approved and PO is created in the backened , the SC caanot be taken Over by the substitute. This might be required when confirmation / Invoice needs to be done in SRM and the requestor is on vacation.
For confirmations you don't require the SC to be taken over. Just marking the cart as 'make available for my purchasing substitutes' will suffice. Both the substitute and SC employee can post a confirmation for this cart after the PO has been created.
Your first statement is correct: If the SC has status awaiting approval the substitute can not take over the SC anymore. I don't know if there is a setting somewhere, havn't found anything yet. If the shoppingcart is rejected (different status) the actions available depend on your workflow: It can either be rejected = rejected or rejected = accept reject / edit rejected items.
    Kind regards,
    Tim

  • Team shopping cart and Shopping on behalf

    Dear Experts,
What is the difference you have observed between team shopping cart and Shopping on behalf?
Do you observe differences other than the below ones:
    1. Team shopping cart can be taken over by any one in the team defined in the substitution of the creator in any stage (including even draft stage) so that the team members can enhance the shopping cart and take over it in the absence of the creator.
However, 'Shopping on behalf' does not offer the same flexibility. In absence of the shopping cart creator, the original requestor (shop for) can just have receive or confirm the delivery in the shopping cart.
Do you see any other differences other than the above ones?
    Regards,
    Ranjan

    Hello Ranjan
    Please find the answer below:
In both team purchasing and shopping on behalf of other users, a person other than the requester is involved in processing the shopping cart. However, the two functions are used in different situations:
If someone shops on behalf of another user, typically a single person works with the shopping cart from the start of the requisitioning process. For example, a purchasing assistant or secretary creates a shopping cart for a manager and follows the process through until the confirmation or invoice is created. Only the person on whose behalf the shopping cart is created can take over the shopping cart or the follow-on documents.
In team purchasing, any user who is defined as a procurement substitute can take over the shopping cart. Within this process, several users can be involved and can take over the team shopping cart from each other. This can be useful, for example, in the following situations:
An employee leaves the company, and the successor later takes over this person's responsibilities.
An employee is sick, and a colleague takes over the shopping cart.
A team of employees works in shifts, and a shopping cart that is time-critical must be processed by a colleague working in a different shift.

  • Team shopping Cart,Personal and public template in SRM 7.0

    Hello Experts,
    We are in SRM 7.0,
Can someone help me in understanding the below:-
    The questions are the following:
    -     What is the difference between u201CPersonal tamplatesu201D and u201CPublic templatesu201D?
    -     What is the meaning of u201CTeam shopping cartu201D?
    -     How can the personal templates, public templates and team shopping carts be created and maintained, so they can searched for at a later point in time?
    Thank you in advance,
    Regds,
    RKS

    Hi,
SRM does not use the term "personal template" and "public template" for Shopping Cart.
There is "Shopping Cart template" which is like public template context.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm70/helpdata/EN/45/e55096554c0b00e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm
Old SRM version had personal template but it is no longer required. "Old Shopping Cart and Template" search is available now.

  • Shopping Cart functionality

    Hi,
    I want to know,
Does bea provides any shopping cart functionality in bea portal server?

    Yes. See
    http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/portal/buildportals/navCommerce.html
or search in the Help inside of Workshop.
The functionality is the same as in 7.0 (and 4.0), so that documentation
    will still mostly apply
    (http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs70/dev/commerce.htm#998197).
    Use the com.beasys.commerce.ebusiness.shoppingcart.ShoppingCartHome
class to instantiate and manipulate a ShoppingCart with ProductItems
    from the product catalog.

  • Basic Shopping Cart Functionality suggestion

This is really one for the ideas section.
In addition to the multiple fields on one line suggestion.
I know a fully blown shopping cart is not going to happen here as Randy has already mentioned but even some basic functionality would go a long way to providing a basic "in-form" alternative.
It would involve being able to have "total" fields that would for example add or multiple or subtract the totals of other cells in which data has been entered and would really need the multiple fields in place to be effective.
For example - a basic widgets form... maybe not so basic but shows some potentiality.
    Column A        Column B       Column C      Column D     Column E    Column F      Column G
Product            Price            Quantity         Reference     Total          Discount         Total
    Widget A           $1.00            _____            _______      $x.xx           $x.xx               $x.xx
    Widget B           $2.00            _____            _______      $x.xx           $x.xx               $x.xx
    Widget C           $3.00            _____            _______      $x.xx           $x.xx               $x.xx
    Widget D           $4.00            _____            _______      $x.xx           $x.xx               $x.xx
    Totals                                       xx                                     $x.xx           $x.xx               $x.xx
    Postage                                                                                                                      $x.xx
    Total Payable                                                                                                             $x.xx
Column B would require a new text field type that is unchangeable by the user that reads as a number.
Column E would multiply the price in B with the quantity in C
Column F might for example look at the quantity in C and calculate a 10% discount if 5 of more widgets of a particular type have been ordered
Column G would take the total in E & subtract the discount in F
The totals would add up the entries in all the above data
If someone had a second page of items, the top of the second page might have a cell option which is equal to the total of the previous page (ie let this cell=that cell)
At some point we would be able to determine what data show up on the paypal receipt and which cell has the final total for the Paypal payment.
While it doesn't have the full add to cart functionality, within the form it would do the same thing.
Fully blown shopping carts tend to be expensive & for those of us that don't need/can't afford one for what we do, this would go a long way to providing a good alternative.
To be honest I'd pay extra for this kind of thing. Adobe's doing some amazing things with the like of FormCentral,SendNow,EchoSign etc - I'd really like to see this addition considered.

Obviously it wouldn't have stuff like stock control and up, customer sign-ups with returning customer features and so on that full shopping carts have.
Would open the possibility for optional weight based shipping calculation if you assigned weights to each widget - multiply by quantity & add totals...

  • Display Shopping cart of other Users in SRM 7.0

    Hi Experts,
I saw that, we can only see ours Shopping Carts only and not other Users in SRM 7.0 in POWL.
Can it possible to see others Shopping Cart ? If yes How ? and where is setting ?
    Thanks
    NAP

    Hi NAP,
If you want to see others shopping cart, probably you are looking for team shopping cart functionality. In team shopping cart, the shopping cart creator can define his team and all the members of the team can see the shopping cart. At any point of time, they can take over the shopping cart and do the follow-on activities for the cart.
You have to enable the team shopping cart functionality in 'define transaction types' for your shopping cart. On activating the option, when you create a shopping cart, you get the checkbox option 'Team shopping cart'. You need to check the check box for that.
You can define the team in your personalization tab.
There is a very good wiki available on team shopping cart functionality launched in SRM 7 in SDN forum. You can refer the details for that.
    Thanks and regards,

  • What is the difference between 'Shopping cart' and 'Team cart'

    Hi,
There a knowledge about 'Team Cart' in SRM 7.0 .I want to know what is the difference between 'Shopping cart' and 'Team cart'?
       Thank you !
       best Regards

    Hi,
SRM self-service procurement and requisitioning process was generally focused on the requestor and goods recipient. SAP SRM 7.0 introduces the new 'team' approach.
    Team purchasing enables users to:
    Define their own procurement substitutes
Make shopping carts accessible to substitutes
Substitutes (team members) are able to:
Search for and take over team shopping carts
Create follow-on documents (such as confirmations) for team carts they have taken over

  • Multiple users and shopping carts, one searchable index?

    Hi all,
I've got an idea but I would like to know if it possible with Business Catalyst. I'll try and explain as simply as possible:
I have multiple users (let's say 10). They all need separate shopping carts as they are all selling different products. They all need their own admin areas that keep track of their incomes, workflows, shopping carts, etc. They are essentially 10 independent users. Will the WebCommerce10 plan satisfy their needs, or will 10 separate WebCommerce single plans need to be sold?
Taking the above into account, is there anyway to have 10 independent shopping carts, but they can all be searchable simultaneously? e.g. think eBay, lots of users with their own independent admin areas and products, but one search field returning many results from all the user's shopping carts? Is there anyway to achieve something like this with BC? Can subdomains do this? Any other ideas how to achieve this if none of the above is possible?
My plan B is having a landing page where a link for each of the 10 users will take them to their relevant shopping carts, but this experience isn't quite as integrated as I would like, from a web surfer's point of view.
    Thanks.
    Clint,
    Komma Media

    Hi Robbie,
Yes, this would require significant modification to the shopping cart functionality. As it is now, it's very dependent the ShoppingCart being associated with the session and therefore the user. To change that would be significant work.
Additionally, if you had two people logging in to the same account and editing the same order around the same time, this would tend to not to work well. This is because two users would be two sessions and they would often get routed to different app server instances. Because the way orders are managed, there's no way to immediately sync up the changes between multiple instances, and if you managed to do it would likely slow things down drastically. I would not recommend trying this with ATG.
    Thanks.

  • Is it possible to make Supplier field Mandatory in Shopping Cart (SRM7.0)?

    Hi Experts,
We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario.
We are only using Shopping Cart  functionality and most of the  Material and services will have Contract & Pur. Info Records in ECC B/E system.
in SRM, if any Product don't have any SoS , then user can assign Supplier code and Price manually in S/C and Classic PO creates automatically. But if User missed to enter Supplier code then, in that case we neither want to sent the S/C to the Sourcing Cockpit nor want to create ECC PR from it.
If there is NO any SoS ( ECC Contract or Pur Info Record) exist , then  user MUST have to enter Supplier code & price  manually and so we want to set the fields SUPPLIER & PRICE  MANDATORY.
Is it Possible ? if yes , then how this can be done ?
    Thanks

But if User missed to enter Supplier code then, in that case we neither want to sent the S/C to the Sourcing Cockpit nor want to create ECC PR from it. - If the REQUESTIONER enter prefered vendor - it can create only PR IF NO SOURCING . if REQUESTIOTIONER selected fixed vendor - Then PO created .
here you are giving more control to REQUISITIONER department than Purchasing department.

you can validate any field to make mandatory...and spit error by doc check BADI.

Though business allows REQUISITIONER wants to create  PO directly from the shopping cart without BUYER intervention and WITHOUT Fixed vendor . no issues . Asimple logic to change preferred vendor 39 to fixed vendor 19 logic by doc change badi
so whenever REQUESTIONER assign a preffered vendor it can create a Purchase order.
Assigning source of supply decision is very critical to business . Business wants always it should be competetive best price.

  • Default frame in shopping cart

    Hi All,
i am working an issue which is in shopping cart screen default frame.
after logon into shopping cart screen, you can see 'EXTENDED DETAILS' button. once you click 'EXTENDED DETAILS' button that will change as 'Simplify button' along with some more fields add into shopping cart screen( say for example custom fields).

Is there any way to do that, plz help me out.

    Hi
Which SRM Version are you using ?
<u>As soon as you add customer fields (Refer SAP OSS Notes 672960 and 485891) to the Shopping cart (say at Item Level ) these fields are displayed in the the Basic data section (Item level) as well as the Search Criteria (in Extended search) functionality automatically.</u>
As per your business requirement, when ever user log on and clicked shopping cart create button, then the shopping cart screen should display 'EXTENDED DETAILS' view which contains the custom fields instead of 'Simplify details' view.
<b>This is Standard SAP functionality. These changes are not possible until we do modification to the HTML Templates in the Internet Service (BBPSC01) using SE80 Transaction.</b>
I have not tried the same, but i don't think it possible (or might be - not sure), as there is a maximum limit of displaying fields in the Shopping cart Basic Data / Search functionality section.
You must have noticed as soon as the number of fields displayed on the Shopping cart exceeds (say more than 10 fields - including Standard and custom fields), there is automatically a  button feature ">>" / "<<" gets enabled to either go forward to the next page or come back from to the previous page for display of fields. <u>Therefore, as per my view, you can change the text lable of the 'EXTENDED DETAILS'  button / 'Simplify details'  button, but this might not help. Moreover, this might cause side-affects to the existing Shopping cart functionality. So be very sure, before making changes to the respective HTML Templates involved in this case.</u>
