Team shopping Cart,Personal and public template in SRM 7.0

Hello Experts,
We are in SRM 7.0,
Can someone help me in understanding the below:-
The questions are the following:
-     What is the difference between u201CPersonal tamplatesu201D and u201CPublic templatesu201D?
-     What is the meaning of u201CTeam shopping cartu201D?
-     How can the personal templates, public templates and team shopping carts be created and maintained, so they can searched for at a later point in time?
Thank you in advance,
Regds,
RKS

Hi,
SRM does not use the term "personal template" and "public template" for Shopping Cart.
There is "Shopping Cart template" which is like public template context.

Old SRM version had personal template but it is no longer required. "Old Shopping Cart and Template" search is available now.

  • Team shopping cart and Shopping on behalf

    Dear Experts,
What is the difference you have observed between team shopping cart and Shopping on behalf?
Do you observe differences other than the below ones:
    1. Team shopping cart can be taken over by any one in the team defined in the substitution of the creator in any stage (including even draft stage) so that the team members can enhance the shopping cart and take over it in the absence of the creator.
However, 'Shopping on behalf' does not offer the same flexibility. In absence of the shopping cart creator, the original requestor (shop for) can just have receive or confirm the delivery in the shopping cart.
Do you see any other differences other than the above ones?
    Regards,
    Ranjan

    Hello Ranjan
    Please find the answer below:
In both team purchasing and shopping on behalf of other users, a person other than the requester is involved in processing the shopping cart. However, the two functions are used in different situations:
If someone shops on behalf of another user, typically a single person works with the shopping cart from the start of the requisitioning process. For example, a purchasing assistant or secretary creates a shopping cart for a manager and follows the process through until the confirmation or invoice is created. Only the person on whose behalf the shopping cart is created can take over the shopping cart or the follow-on documents.
In team purchasing, any user who is defined as a procurement substitute can take over the shopping cart. Within this process, several users can be involved and can take over the team shopping cart from each other. This can be useful, for example, in the following situations:
An employee leaves the company, and the successor later takes over this person's responsibilities.
An employee is sick, and a colleague takes over the shopping cart.
A team of employees works in shifts, and a shopping cart that is time-critical must be processed by a colleague working in a different shift.

  • Team shopping cart functionality in SRM 7.0

    Dear Experts,
Could you please help me to understand how team shopping cart is different from shopping cart created by individual requestor?
I have checked some existing team shopping cart in our test system. The only difference I observed is that in case of team shopping cart, the receipient is an org unit.
The org unit being a receipient, all the employees of the org unit can see the shop in their inbox.
Am I correct? If It is so, what other differences such shopping cart with a shopping cart requested by an individual?
    Thanks and regards,

  • Team concept in Team shopping cart functionality?

    Dear Experts,
What does 'Team' Concept indicates in team shopping cart functionality in SRM 7.0?
As per my understanding, if a purchaser creates a team shopping cart, it can be taken over by other members of the purchasing group to which the creator belongs?
Is it correct? What are the other scenarios of team shopping cart? If a team shopping cart is used in a project scenario so that a member of the project group creates a shopping cart, the same shopping cart can be viewed and edited by other members of of the project. How we can implement such scenarios with team shopping cart?
    Your feedback is highly appreciated.

  • How do I add an already built Shopping Cart  (PHP and MYSQL) application to a page in a Muse site?

How do I add an already built Shopping Cart  (PHP and MYSQL) (Cartweaver 4) application to a page in a Muse site? Do I have to export the Muse site as Html to dreamweaver and them use the extension to bring the shooping cart in or can I do it directly in Muse?
    Message was edited by: mgv2048

We have experimented with doing this with some good success. We have been working on adding Cartweaver to a Facebook page by essentially adding a Cartweaver store to Facebook in an iframe.  The "store" would be pages with just your basic product display, cart, and checkout functionality, with none of the "window dressing" - just use CSS to match the color and general look of the design it's being added to.
The one problem with this for Facebook is when it comes time to check out toy have to leave Facebook and go to your server where an SSL is in place.  Fortunately in this situation this would not be the case, you can have an SSL installed to the root of your site and you'll be okay.
This is an interesting project.  Give this a try and let me know how it goes and if you run into any snags, please make a post on the Cartweaver forums: http://forums.cartweaver.com - I'm really confident that this can work, and not only work, but work well.
Looking forward to hearing how this goes, and being of what help we can.

  • Outlook personal and public folders via Entourage?

I'm the only Mac user in my company and for the most part, this relatively new transition has been seamless. The only tricky part has been with personal and public folders that are currently in Outlook - I can't see them in Entourage. Instead of having an intranet, we have all of our policies, forms, procedures, and general (corporate) information in Public Folders, and then our email accounts are limited and we're instructed to use Personal Folders for any emails that need to be kept longer than 60 days.
Has anyone else run into this, and if so, were you able to find a solution?
    Many thanks,
    Sabrina

I thought Entourage WAS an Apple product.
Nope. M$ product. Always has been.
why we chose to use Entourage instead of Mail in the first place
Possibly because it's closer to Outlook in "feel" and is somewhat easier to configure from an IT perspective (i.e. they don't have to do anything to get Entourage to communicate with an MS Exchange server).
Mail can be configured to work with an Exchange server, either by having IMAP support enabled on the server side, or by configuring mail to access the OWA (Outlook Web Access) server. Your IT group should be able to help there (note that "should" does not necessarily mean "will!).
    Hope this helps...

  • How to pass Shopping cart currency to PO currency in SRM 7.0

    Hi all,
As Iam  very much new to SRM. Can any one help me how to pass shopping cart current to PO currency in SRM 7.0.
I mean what ever currency value we will maintain in SC same should reflect in PO also. Please let me know which BADI is useful to solve this issue.
    Thanks in advance !!!
    Regards,
    Kalyani

    Hello,
    This is the standard indeed.
Are you using Extended Classic Scenario, which means that PO is created in SRM?
When the PO is created without a vendor assigned , the Currency should be defaulted from SC .
When adding the vendor a warnning message is issued to inform the purchaser the vendor currency is different with the PO current currency.
The purchaser could judge by himself if he should change the currency or not.
If the PO is created with the Vendor , the currency is determined from the vendor.
Not sure if BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI would overwrite the PO vendor currency.
    Kind regards,
    Ricardo

  • How do we create and publish templates in SRM ?

    Good day guru's
How do  we create and publish templates in SRM , for contracts management ?
    Your help will be appreciated

    Hi,
    What is your SRM version?
There are 3 buttons (Create, Create template, Create from Template) in the Process Contract screen, bbp_ctr_main in SRM50 (SRM_SERVER 550).

  • Changing "Check Shopping Cart" screen and Completion workflow

    Hi,
Below i describe a) the current process, b) the required changes, and c) my questions.
Though it is also about workflows i still thought this was the best place to post the thread.
    Current process:
In the process "free text order" i choose Go Shopping >> Shop >> Describe Requirement. I fill in details and complete the next steps.
Now the Completion workflow (WS14000044) has started.
So if I now look on my homepage in SRM i have an approval item which reads:
       Approval
You can approve or reject shopping carts and read your e-mails relating to the procurement transaction
       You have
       -  1 Workflow Entries in Inbox
       -  0 Unread Documents in Inbox
So i open the list and find one item: Complete shopping cart of mr X.. Now i click on the item and it takes me to "Check Shopping Cart"
At the bottom of the screen is one button: "Change"
    Requirements:
    1)  add two buttons to this screen. One button is "Reject", to reject the shoppping cart directly. The second button "Mail Requester" to send the shopping cart back to the requester and also sends a mail via outlook to inform the requester that this has happened and requesting more information.
    2)  these buttons should then influence the behaviour of the Completion Workflow. In this workflow (WS14000044) the task Completion (TS14007947) currently has one activated outcome. From my two buttons i would need two more outcomes that allow me to model the other actions that i need i.e. the rejection outcome and the back-to-requester/send-mail outcome.
    Questions:
    1)  is it allowed/possible to add the buttons to the existing screens. Or do i need to create a custom screen and call that instead of the standard screen?
    2)  is it allowed/possible to modify the completion workflow as described? Or do i need to copy and then modify?
    3)  How could i make the buttons to interact with the workflow? The only thing i can think of is to create a Z-bus object of the object Form and to modify so that it show my expected outcomes.
    4)  any helpful links to sdn posts of blogs or otherwise on how to go about to create the necessary changes.
    Thx for your input
    Kind regards
    Robert

    Hi Robert,
Again, before technical solutioning, we need to step back and understand the business process and functions of each role (e.g., Buyer, Financial Approver) in the completion and approval workflow.
Here's my understanding of the as-is (correct me if I am wrong). You are using One-Step Spending Limit WF (10000276) for financial approval. This is done by a Financial Approver (I am guessing, the line manager). The Buyer is not part of the process. Now, you want to introduce free-text requisitioning, and, consequently, you want to introduce the Buyer role into the workflow process - to complete the free-text lines (e.g. with vendor, price).
Based on above scenario, I believe your initial solution was not incorrect - introduce Completion WF (14000044) for the completion task, while keeping 10000276 for financial approval.
Now the business wants the Buyer to play a more active role in the process. They want to be able to Reject (the whole cart?) and Inquire (send the cart back to requester with questions). In my mind, it may still be possible to explore keeping the original design with Completion WF without modifying it, and still achieve the business needs. You can explore different ways of doing that: delete SC items instead of Rejecting, add Approval Comments to inquire, etc.
Alternatively, you can replace all your workflows with one - WS14000133 "Spending limit, n-step,
dynamic approvers (BAdI)". Here, you can determine your approvers flexibly via a BAdI implementation. For example:
    1. If Total Amount =< Spending Limit of Purchaser, then no approval agents - auto-approve SC.
    2. If Total Amount > Spending Limit of Purchaser AND there're no free-text lines, then determine Financial Approver.
    3. If Total Amount > Spending Limit of Purchaser AND there're incomplete free-text lines, then determine Buyer; once free-text lines completed - then Financial Approver.
WS14000133 also has back-and-forth functionality which you can use for the inquiries. WS14000133 provides the most flexibilty, but it also involves more effort to implement. Read up on WS14000133 at help.sap.com.
Bottom line - I would focus on evaluating these two standard options: 14000044 with 10000276, or 14000133. You may need to do some pros/cons, cost/benefit analysis. But I see no need to modify or copy SAP templates in your case.
    Cheers,
    Serguei

  • Team Shopping Cart functionality in SRM7.0

    Hi,
We are implementing SRM7.0 and we activated the Team Purchasing functionality. We have set the purchasing substitutes, for a requestor. We notice that Take Over function works only when the Shopping Cart is in Saved/Held status.
By reading the SAP documentation on Team Purchasing we were excited, but this Take Over functiona does not work for Shopping Carts in Awaiting Approval. That means if the Shopping Cart is partially rejected , the workitem goes back to the requestor , and the substitute cannot take over the shopping cart (when the requestor is on vacation)
Is there a way to Take Over SC from POWL by the substitute when the SC is still in awaiting approval?
Also we noticed that when the SC is completely approved and PO is created in the backened , the SC caanot be taken Over by the substitute. This might be required when confirmation / Invoice needs to be done in SRM and the requestor is on vacation.
    Thanks
    Sukumar

    Hello Sukumar,
I can shed a light on your last question:
Also we noticed that when the SC is completely approved and PO is created in the backened , the SC caanot be taken Over by the substitute. This might be required when confirmation / Invoice needs to be done in SRM and the requestor is on vacation.
For confirmations you don't require the SC to be taken over. Just marking the cart as 'make available for my purchasing substitutes' will suffice. Both the substitute and SC employee can post a confirmation for this cart after the PO has been created.
Your first statement is correct: If the SC has status awaiting approval the substitute can not take over the SC anymore. I don't know if there is a setting somewhere, havn't found anything yet. If the shoppingcart is rejected (different status) the actions available depend on your workflow: It can either be rejected = rejected or rejected = accept reject / edit rejected items.
    Kind regards,
    Tim

  • Shopping Cart Split and Preferred Vendor

    Hello,
I am working on SRM 5, in Extended Classic Scenario.
I add a service item in my Shopping Cart by using the describe requirement in transaction BBPSC03, I assign a Preferred Vendor to this item and I duplicate it by using the Copy button.
When I order the Shopping Cart, this gives me 2 Purchase Orders? I don't understand why because the 2 items are identical. Is there something in the customizing which has to be set up? I would like to have only one Purchase Order created if items are identical.
    Thanks for your help,
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
The preferred vendor is not the assigned vendor. SO the vendor needs to be assigned during the sourcing.
As far as splitting is concerned check whether any BADI is active like BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI where split criteria is maintained.
Please check the related thread and the OSS notes mentioned in it for better understanding of the issue.
Re: SCs split into multiple POs, duplicate POs and PO items in reverse c/ to SC
Hope this makes you more clear and helps in resolving the issue.
    Award points for helpful answers.

  • Shopping cart-Requestor and Approver of Shopping cart shouldn't be same

    Hi,
I have a requirement where the Requester and the Approver of the Shopping cart shouldn't be same.
This requirement needs to be met for online and offline approval both .
Secondly if the Requester is set as Approver Substitute then in that case also it should not allow the requester to approver the shopping cart as in this case he has become the approver too.

    Hi,
Please check if DOC_CHANGE_BADI is called when approving SC.
    Regards,

  • Updating Custom Field on Shopping Cart after PO is Ordered in SRM

After a PO is approved or rejected in SRM's UWL, the customer requires that a custom field on the related Shopping Cart gets updated with 'approved' or 'rejected'.
I know that the save badi, BBP_DOC_SAVE_BADI, gets hit after approval/rejection of POs. We currently are using the function module BBP_PD_SC_UPDATE in the doc save badi to update this custom field.
Is there anywhere else we could update the SHC? We don't think this solution is the best. Does SRM have any standard SHC update process after a follow on document is updated that we could put an enhancement in?
    Thanks!!

The BADI BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW gets executed after approval as well. It is part of the PO creation process and allows you to modify the PO document before it is finalized.
    Hope this helps.
