Teched-2008 - ABAP Cerification

Hi Friends,
I am registering for Teched-08 and planning to appear for SAP ABAP Certification.
I am having the course Materials TAW10 & TAW12.
I have couple of doubts regarding the Certification :
1> How is Teched Certification exam different from those after training(fresher)? As this is for experienced persons..will it be somehow tougher..? I am little afraid as i am not getting time after office hours for study of these materials..
2> Will TAW10 & TAW12 will be enough for preparation?
3> Can i have some sites where i can practice for simulation tests or get Certification questions to prepare?

Hi Sam,
As per my understanding there is another materials that you have to go through for this certification:TAW11 (which is e-learning)

Its all about covering the syllabus provided by SAP for this certification. If you have gone through all the materials required for this certification, you are thru with the certification.
2> Will TAW10 & TAW12 will be enough for preparation?
You may need TAW11 (have a cross check on it)
3> Can i have some sites where i can practice for simulation tests or get Certification questions to prepare?
As already mentioned in previous reply , tehre is no site for demo test.

ABAP certification at SAP Teched 2008

Hello ABAP gurus,
I wish to appear for the SAP ABAP Development Consultant certification (C_TAW12_04) exam at the Teched 2008, proposed at Bangalore.
I have been trained by SAP Academy in October-November 2006,at Pune.
However, after browsing through SAP sites and through colleagues , I came to know that the Course material has been revised.
Am I eligible for ABAP Certification at this Teched then?
My SAP experience is 1year 7 months,whereas my overall work experience is 2 years and 2 months.
Please clarify .

yes ur eligible, but since the cource contents hav changed, u should make sure u are comfortable with the new curriculam contents before appearing for the test. it is adviced not to appear if ur not damn sure .

TechEd 2008 India is worthful for Beginner ?

I am new in SAP ABAP and want to join the TechED 2008 in india. But As I have just switch my career to SAP ABAP , so I am wondering whether it is really helpful for me to take part in it.
I am more concern about the OOPS concept , so When I am trying to search the sessions which is listed for 2008 techED, I am not able to find any topic related to OOPS.
Please kindly give me advise which course id more suitable for me as beginner.

I think till now it is not decided that which all the exams are going to be in SAP TechED '08 Bangalore. SAP might update it after few months with the list of exam codes.

please understand one thing every technology requires its domain knowledge, when you are looking for abap side i don't think M.Tech will serve any purpose for it (yes it will gives you an exposure that you have masters degree), because being in sap abap primarly requires basic coding skills, understanding its syntax and semantics, so being a B.Tech is enough.
When it comes to MBA + SAP, yes being an MBA you will be recognised as a domain knowledgable person in industry sector and hence you will get more exposure in it, so the option of MBA + SAP functional side is justificabe, but when it comes to choose a better option in between two, no one can decide it for you , because you know yourself better than anybody else, we just provide the information regarding anything, but its you who can judge yourself better.
So if you are crazy towards innovation, and coding is your passion you can opt for abap side, but if you don't like coding go to MBA + SAP functional side.

SAP TechEd 2008 : Eligibility : min 1yr with current employer necessary?

I'm working in SAP for almost 3 & half year now.
I've recently switched over my job. I have been with my current employer from past 3/4 months.
Can I be eligible to apply for SAP TechEd 2008, Bangalore? Is there any eligibility criteria for SAP TechEd 2008 that I need to be with my current employer for atleast a year?

Announcement KM on Sap Teched 2008 Las Vegas

Hi,
I was told that at the Sap Teched 2008 in Las Vegas SAP has made the announcement that SAP will phase out Knowlegde Management.
Does anybody knows where I can more information of this announcement ? Has anybody attend this presentation at Sap Teched Las Vegas ?
We has the intention to start with the implementation of KM so this information is very important for us.
I am looking for the "Sap announcements made at las vegas" but I don't find them.
So if anybody can help me ...

I'm not sure where you got your information. No such announcement was made at TechEd. KM is alive and well. It is the basis for a number of Netweaver capabilities like Web Page Composer and Collaboration.
It was announced that the collaboration portal capabilities that we due to be rolled out with the enhancement pack 1 ramp-up this month has been delayed. You can find more about this in an article on SDN here https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-portalandcollaboration.
There is no reason not to go ahead with your KM implementation.

TechED is the annual event organizaed by SAP/SDN team. Its basically the get together for SAP folks who wants to share their knowledge or want to gather knowledge on the latest happening. Check thsi for more info on [TechEd|http://www.sapteched.com/india/]
Yes you can register for the TechED.
I do not think there is any specific session on SAP-MM, however you can have a check on .[list of sessions at TechEd 2008|http://www.sapteched.com/india/edu_sessions/tracks.htm]

The Letter from ur employer stating that u r working for that company for more than 1 yr is require, without that u cannot attend the certification. Otherwise u can write a certification at any time later once u complete 1 yr.

Problem when compiling example from TechEd 2008

I' am using sap sneak preview 7.01 and I'm trying to compile the ZMHO_EX3_* webdynpro example.
I get the error :
"syntax error : long text".
When I check the syntax I have allways the same error :
Field ")" is unknown...
each time the source code follow this structure :
wd_this->mr_message_manager = wd_this->wd_get_api ( )->get_message_manager( ).
All the attributes of the assistance class ZCL_MHO_WD_SERVICE are red highlight.
I need to use FlashIsland to create mockups for a ramp up client, can you help me to solve this this problem ?

I'have already try to fix the problem by splitting the line code, but it doesn't work.
I paste bellow my piece of code, it is located in the method wdoinit of the component controller

I get the following error :
The result type of the function method cannot be converted into the type of l_api type of l_api.
Instead of if_componentcontroller I tried ig_componentcontroller too, but it doesn't work too.
The long text error at the origin of my post as a lot of occurences in the syntax error window when I check this application: about 10 errors with the same origin.
All attributes of the assistance class ZCL_MHO_WD_SERVICE are allways displayed in red, is it normal ?
Have I to setup/upgrade something on my system in order it will work ?
(There is a lot of errors, since is there a global solution to fix it in one shoot ?)
