Temporary Network Disconnect on WRT54G v8

I have several wireless laptops and 1 one wired computer networked with a WRT54G router. When one specific wireless laptop (with Vista) boots up and connects to the internet/network, all of the other computers (even the wired one) temporarily lose connection to the network. I did a continuous ping and watch my replies time out for about 20 seconds, then resume. If anyone is on an online game, they are disconnected and must log back on. This only happens when this one laptop connects to the network. Any thoughts on what is causing this?

Is you Laptop is wired or wireless ? I think you need to change some settings on your Router, i think this might solve your problem.
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave Username blank & in Password use admin in lower case...
On the set-up tab change the MTU Size to 1365 and click Save Settings...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
- Set the Wireless channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 50 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...Check if you are still facing the same problem or not.

Temporary Network Disconnect

I'm a newbie and this is my first post so go easy. Here is my problem.
1 - I plug in my 700wx using the USB cable.
2 - Windows Mobile Device Center Connects
3 - The Vista Toolbar Network Connection Icon shows a little traffice and the Icon's globe disappears, replaced by an inverted yellow triangle with the ! inside.
4 - After a few seconds the Network Connection Icon's globe reappears and all is well.
During this sequence I loose my network connections.
Has anyone else seen this and know how to correct?

[NSFileHandle][Sockets] How to manage a network disconnection?

Hi,
I have built a client/server app that communicates via TCP/IP.
The *Client is an iPhone Application* that receives and sends many messages of variable sizes through a NSFileHandle object linked with a socket as its filedescriptor
I catch *incoming bytes trough an Observer* whose matching message is named "DataAvailable:(NSNotification *)aNotification".
*When the server stops*, the observer receives one last "dataAvailable" notification, which I try to manage with the [NSFileHandle readdataoflength:1]... that throws an *exception indicating the +connection has been reset by peer+* , which I catch and manage through a SocketDidDisconnect: homemade message.
But I have a *problem when the disconnection occurs directly because of a network disconnection* (I did disconnect the network on purpose) : I receive *no "DataAvailable" notification* (although it receive one I just close the connection from the server Application).
Then I thought I could check every 1/10 seconds if my connection was still ok by trying to do a [MyNSFileHandle ReadDataOfLength:0] : that would throw an exception as soon as my connection goes down. But obviously, reading 0 bytes does not have any effect. And since I don't wanna loose the queued incoming data by various random reading, I don't know how to detect such a network problem.
If any of your has an idea about *how to manage a network disconnection with a NSFileHandle without involving the random reading of queued incoming data*, I will listen to you with the greatest interest.

Network Disconnect During Live Meeting

During our Connect Professional live meetings, using VOIP for
hosts only, we continue to experience frequent freezes which
require that everyone login again or we receive "network
disconnect" messages which require a reboot of our Connect
enterprise server. The first meeting today had 77 connections and
the second meeting had 40 connections. Most are connected using
LAN. The audio features are quirky, i.e., hosts cannot always hear
music embedded in a presentation but participants have no problem
hearing it. Without warning, the entire meeting freezes. With both
meetings today, we had a network disconnect at 60 minutes into the
meeting. Although we can always get the meeting back up and
running, it is disruptive and aggravating for our attendees. We are
running presentations within the meeting space. No video. Adobe
tech support has not been able to offer any clues as to what is
happening. They now have all of the server error codes to study. If
anyone has had a similar experience or ideas for us to investigate,
we would be appreciative. We are running the current version on our
enterprise server. We have two more meetings scheduled for April
23rd.

Our organization had a similar problem. The Connect domain
was frozen during onligne meetings.
I did a search in the log files and with this error in the
system log:
"Server detected a backward timestamp"

Data guard, network disconnect error

Hi All,
we have data guard two node cluster of oracle 9iR2 on Solaris 9 SPARC, initially there were too many error coming in both Primary and standby sites, but after resolving all those problems we are now just getting following error in Alert.log of standby database
RFS: possible network disconnect with primary database
while there is NO other error/message in alert logs, we are able to do tnsping from both sites !
what might be the possible cause of the above error?

There is no error in the primary database regarding this.
And after this no archive logs are being pushed to the standby database.
In V$ARCHIVE_DEST_STATUS view the column synchronizaion_status says CHECK NETWORK for dest_name LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_2

Standby database,Possible network disconnect with primary database

Hello
I have a database on linux with standby configured on different server with same os and database version.When i was about clone primary database through OEM,it stuck in the middle and popup for recovery. I restored and recover whole database. Then, the alert log on the standby database shows this error.
Possible network disconnect with primary database.
I checked standby databsase,listener is up & running. But archive files are getting into standby database.
What should i do now? Please anybody can put some light on this.

Is there anything in the primary alert log? Can you tnsping the standby instance from the primary server, and the primary instance from the standby server?

"A temporary Network Error" response from server

Hello guys,
I'm using standard AT^SJNET and HttpConnection for sending data to server as POST data in http request. Application works fine with SIM cards from Vodafone CZ, DE, FR, but I have problem with Vodafone IT. Data are transfered to server but instead correct server response I get piece of html code with message "+A temporary network error occurred while trying to retrieve the requested URL.+". I have no idea where this message comes from.
Next difference is in HttpConnection getLength(). In case of normal server response it returns some number of bytes, but when message "network error" occured, the -1 value is returned.
Sometimes is connection successful, but more often this error happens.
I tried to use longer timeout (120s) in AT^SJNET, but no change.
Don't you have any advice?

We also faced the same error some time back when clciking on dashboard items is logging us out.Finally we moved the dashboard pages from that dashboard to newly created dashboard and the problem is resolved.
Please check below step also .
1) When you are clicking on Dashboard was all services are up and running ,oc4j?
2. check your dashboard link also might be having symbols like &????.

CNS-9107 : Network disconnected when synchronize with PDA cradled

We are running into CNS-9107:Network disconnected during synchronization when we cradle the PDA. The problem only happens when the synchronization posts a sufficient amount of data, we saw the problem happened when the post content-length at 62K in my office, and 136K from my home, both are using the same mobile server, which is internet accessible.
We got err=10035 [WINCE: 10035] in the debug.txt after we turned on debug by adding DEBUG=1 in the polite.txt on the PDA.
Did anybody run into the same problem?
Could anybody shed some light on what err=10035 [WINCE: 10035] means?
Our environment are:
Server: Oracle Lite 10.2.0.2.0
PDA: Dell Axim X51v, Windows Mobile 5.0, our application is using Olite C# library to do the synchronization
Activeync: 4.2

I post our findings here, in case anybody else runs in the same problem.
Possible solution 1: We got some patch DLL(olaes.dll and omcapi.dll) for WM 5.0 from oracle support, it looks promising to solve our problem, hope they will make to the future Oracle Lite release or patch.
Possible solution 2: In fact, this solution can only be used as a workaround, rather than a solution. After we upgrade the ROM to A12 for my Dell Axim X51v, we noticed there is a new Icon called 'USB to PC' under the Connections settings. We uncheck the 'Enable advanced network functionality', which seems resolve our problem too.

"Network disconnected during sync."

We are getting a strange error
"ERROR",CNS-9107,"07/17/2006 12:03:40","Network disconnected during sync. "
while synchronizing our Oracle Lite PocketPC application with Mobile Server. This only seems to be happening when we are uploading inspections with photo data, have anyone else experienced this problem?

During the 'Sending' phase from the client, a packed binary file (created by the composing phase) is being uploaded to the server, where it is then unpacked and the data put into the in queues.
During 'recieving' the server is creating a packed binary download file from two main sources - the out queue data for the user, and real time queries for any complete refresh items.
Have you set trace logs to SYNC for an example user? This should tell you whether or not the read of the out queues or complete refresh queries are at fault (you should see a list of publication items, and then the trace for each one in turn as it is processed). If the log shows that it is stopping on one publication item (normally a complete refresh), particularly where you have a long download time, then the query may be timing out.
If the sync log shows that all PI's have been processed successfully, then the problem is probably related to the send of the packed binary file. Have a look at the sync history for the user, in terms of record and byte count downloaded - is this excessive? Publication items containing BLOB columns (like images) set to complete refresh could be very large
On the client you should find a file(s) <USERNAME>olres.bin and/or <USERNAME>_olres.bin If you find them, the download at least started. When you say that the user cannot re-sync, do you mean that they get the same error reported? if so try deleting these files and see what happens (a server side error will be within the download file so will not go away until you kill the failed download files), if you still get the error quickly after removing the files, something has broken the activesync connection. If re-cradling the Pocket PC device to re-establish the connection works, then the problem is definitely in the activesync set up.. If it does not, is there anything in your network software that is restricting file downloads or packets?

How to Fire ondisconnect event when network disconnect suddenly

                      can any body tell me how to clear the client entry from Adobe flash Media server 3.5. when net disconnect.
i was expecting that on netdisconnect from the client side end(which is connected to FMS) its onDisconnect event fire similarly as it fire for browser close.But when internet disconnect ondisconnect event not fires at FMS side is there any way to overcome this or any other event fire at that stage?
if it is possible to get any event on network disconnection at client sidetahn i can solve the issue.

You must be getting the "NetConnection.Connect.Closed" as info.code in the onStatus for the NetConnection.

Possible to extend a network of a WRT54G to my TC?

Since a macbook cannot be on 2 networks at once. i'm going to need to have my TC act as my backup and as my network. so the WRT54G is plugged into the modem and the modem is plugged into the wall blah blah blah.. i need to know if my TC can extend the network of the WRT54G so that i can connect to the TC and have internet + backup. if this is possible what settings should the airport utility and the time capsule be on??

Do you have a specific reason for keeping the WRT54G on the network? You can simply replace it with the Time Capsule and keep on going.
If you want to set up two different networks, one 802.11n and one 802.11b/g, you could also do this. I'd set the Time Capsule up in place of the WRT54G and configure it as n-only which will allow you to have faster dual-channel connections. Then, you can connect the WRT54G to one of the TC's LAN ports and allow it to continue to give you the 802.11b/g network.
You would have to set up the TC for DHCP and then disable DHCP on the WRT54G. It is a bit tricky to set up but can be done.
Otherwise, just swap 'em out.

Just corrected leopard to lion. I connect wirelessly to my router. Shows as connected in taskbar but isn't until I go to network settings and reconnect. Then will stay connected while I am using. When I leave computer alone for 30 minutes or so and return have to do reconnect process all over.
