Test data error

while debogging mapping I cant find test data and I got an error, table or view do not exist, however I grant the privilege select, insert
and update to the user of runtime repository?
what you think is the problem ?

I have the same problem and I'm in the last version (10.2.0.4) for the database and for OWB but I don't really worry now because I use principally the intermediate generation of the SQL :

Debuging mapping - error : Could not find test data for target operators ?

Hello, Please help me.
I use Oracle Warehouse Builder 10gR2.
I created a cube with two dimensions.
I debugged the mappings of these two dimensions then viewed their data after deployment.
I tried to debug the mapping of the cube, and got the error: Could not find test data for all source and target operators.
For source objects exist test data but for the target operator (cube_out) logically we do not need test data !!!! .
But the error is here: Could not find test data for target operators. Why ??
How to configure or explain to owb that the target operator do not have test data ????

I explain you in detail : I work in ROLAP.
I have two dimensions : DIM_1 and DIM_2 linked with the cube (Fact_table).
I have three mappings : MAP_DIM1, MAP_DIM2, MAP_CUBE.
For the MAP_CUBE, I have source operator : VIEW_IN and Target operator : CUBE_OUT.
I could see the data dimensions : DIM_1 and DIM_2 after debugging and Deployment in the OLAP schema.
I tried debugged the mapping: MAP_CUBE so I got the error: Could not find test data for all source and target operators.*

Oops..thats weird.
Tell me one thing...then how gud is the code generated in terms of working...if someone has to really test the code pre-hand for expected business logicWhy i am raising this concern is becoz there are many features for which OWB provides support in indirect way(workaround) like exists/not exists.
Do we need to deploy mapping each time and then test through a run from Control centre?
Other thing, As far i understand, the code generated is not in such a format that one can directly copy paste it in any sql/plsql editor and test it...

Test Data, DBG1012: Debug deployment error

Hi,
I have problems with the Mapping Editor.
I couldn't get it work with Test Data.
Another problem is, that there is no user guide for this, as the version is new.
The GUI looks a bit different to the page 7-4 in the guide B12146-01.
Error: "DBG1012: Debug deployment error". I didn't see any data in the source. But there is data inside.

Iam using warehouse builder 10g and when I want to execute a mapping he says that he cant find test data .In fact the source database and the datawarehouse are in two different schema so I grant the privilege of select and insert on source table to the user of datawarehouse but the prolem still exist

you can run the mapping from SQL plus like this:-
The below example is if you mapping does not have Mapping Input Parameter and Mapping Output parameter.

Stale data error while deleting a record

My design of this development is as follow...
1. Search Page in which users give some search criteria and results will be displayed in the results region on the same page. For each results record I have two buttons like 'Update' and 'Delete' so that users can delete the record or can update the record. For update i created a one more page where users can able to edit and save the data. I have two AM one for Search Page and one for Update Page.

Suppose I have one record in interface table with corresponding error record in error table.When users given the search criteria and hit enter they found a record. It means i have one record in the interface having one error record in the error table and both tables have same transaction id (primary key). So here user first try to update the record and it is working. After update he try to delete a record then I am getting below error. Please note that I am not getting this error when if i directly delete the record with out doing any update before delete. When ever users click on update icon then update PG will open and when users click on Apply button then data is getting updated in the database and page will forward to the search page.
Unable to perform transaction on the record.
Cause: The record contains stale data. The record has been modified by another user.
Action: Cancel the transaction and re-query the record to get the new data.

Test data corrupted issue while re-opening the Test in PTF8.53

Hi,
While re-opening the test case in PTF8.53,there is a pop up message displaying test data is corrupted.
Ran successfully yesterday,trying to reopen however getting this issue.
Any solution to retreive it back?

when i create a new form in windows xp using developer suite (i have installed developer suite) i am able to connect the database. i checked the tnsping in server its working.....
This means developer suite has been configured for database.---i configured the developer suite(172.16.7.123) to 9idb(172.16.7.2)

its asking me the username,password,database.
i gave username=ncc password=nccpwd database=test
In the db server's tnsnames.ora...i have given the db details under test.
if i do "tnsping test" the result is ok. but when i open the form in the browser im getting the ora-12514 error after giving the above said details of username.
But....when i give the username,password and database of infrastructure i.e.,
username=system password=oradba database=orcl then the form is opening in the browser.

Populating the test data in table of IDES ECC 5.0 in Oracle

I have installed IDES ECC 5.0 successfully without any errors. But I don't see the data in tables like PA0001 etc. Can some body give me the steps for populating the tables with test data. I was able to sign on using DDIC in client 000.

you are using wrong client, login into client 800. check tcode SCC4 to check which client you want to log into.

BI4.1 SP3 unparseable date error while scheduling

Hi,
We currently updated BI4.0 sp4 to BI4.1 sp3 on our test environment.
Im getting "Unparseable date" error only with scheduling on reports with a date prompt on BI4.1 SP3. On refreshing reports with date prompts without error.
The same report with date prompt scheduled on BI4.0 SP4 version. It schedules without error.
Could anyone help on this.

Purchase date error while Adding Existing Assets in Capital Planning

Hi,
In form 03 (for managing existing assets), i right click on the form to add existing assets. it opens a window in which info about existing asset is feeded. And when i press the botton to validate the form, it gives me following error.
Purchase Date :The following value is not valid for the runtime prompt: 3/8/2010.

Serial Profile "2 Inconsistencies in stock data - error" is NOT validating GR&GI

Hi Gurus,
I have the following scenario:
1.- We have customized in OIS2 a Serial Profile (X001) and added the following Serializing procedures:
MMSL - Maintain goods receipt and issue doc.     03     02
PPAU - Serial numbers in PP order                       03     02
PPRL - PP order release                                       03     02
2.- We have selected in StkCk option "2 Inconsistencies in stock data - Error"
3.- We create material "TEST" with Serial Profile (X001)
4.- We GR (561) the material TEST with serial 111
5.- We create an Order for material TEST
6.- We GI (261) the material TEST serial 111
7.- We GR (501) material TEST serial 111
System is allowing me to GR the same serial against the same material. We are working with PM Orders and these materials (equipments) that we GI in the future will be uninstalled (262) and will come back to our Storage Location. We cannot have 2 same serial numbers against the same material (equipment).
Do I need to customize anything else?

Data error: cyclic redundancy check

I have downloaded and installed CS6 Master Collection. I created DVDs for recovery purposes and got the following error when testing the DVDs:
Adobe Flash 12.0-mul Cannot copy Assets1_1 : Data error (cyclic redundancy error)
I tried copying the Collection onto another set of DVDs but got the same error when copying the files onto my laptop.
When I copy the Assets1_1 zip file from the download by network connection, rather than DVD, it seems to copy just fine, and the CS6 Collection has loaded just fine also.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might create a fully operational set of back-up discs? Many thanks in advance.

That is what I am doing in effect. I downloaded the Collection from the trial page on the Adobe site. Then created DVDs from that download. It is when copying the files from the DVD that I get the error message. Could there be a problem with my download? If so how do I check?

Creating test data for a problem

Hi,
I've been using this forum for a few months and it has been extremely useful. The problem is that I actually have no idea how to create test data for a specific problem. I've tried googling but to no avail. I have had other users create test data for some of my problems using a 'WITH' statement but it would be great if someone could explain the logic behind it and how to approach a specific problem where in the query I use multiple tables.
I know it's probably a stupid question and I'm relatively new to sql but it would help a lot if I understood the process.

Debug Mode - Source tables not showing up in Test Data tab

I'm new at OWB, so pardon me if this isn't a great question...
I built a mapping based on four views that are stored in Oracle. When I tried to run the mapping it gave me some errors, so I initiated debug mode. After the debug mode is initialized, only the target table shows up on the Test Data tab, the four source views are not there. How can I get the sources to show up in the Test Data tab so that I can define what test data to use?

I will try out custom log table approach.
I see that there is a way to test pl/sql scripts via the DBMS output
and for that we need some invoking program like SQL PLUS to get the
log out into a file.
However, we wanted to see if there is a way to set Pl/SQL log files
and get PL/SQL logs when the calling program is BI Publisher.
