Test dataProviders in 4.1 beta 2?

I'm using the 4.1 beta 2 download from here: http://www.flexunit.org/?page_id=14
I have a test using the new dataProvider mechanism:
        public function getDates():Array {
            function getBytes(str:String):ByteDataStream {
                var bytes:ByteDataStream = new ByteDataStream();
                bytes.writeUTFBytes(str);
                bytes.position = 0;
                return bytes;
            var format:BasicFieldDescription = new BasicFieldDescription(Oid.TIMESTAMP, EncodingFormat.TEXT);
            return [
                [ getBytes('2000-01-01 00:00:00'), format, { DateStyle: DateStyle.OUTPUT_ISO }, new Date(2000, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0) ]
        [Test(dataProvider="getDates")]
        public function testDecodeDate(bytes:ByteDataStream, format:IFieldInfo, serverParams:Object, expected:Date):void {
            var result:Date = _decoder.decode(bytes, format, serverParams) as Date;
            Assert.assertEquals(expected, result);
When I run this, I get the error
    Method testDecodeDate should have no parameters
Any ideas?

Hmm, so I guess my problem is not quite solved. I am now getting errors even on the "hello world" tests here:
http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Parameterized_Test_Styles
The errors are always just
There was an error retrieving the parameters for the testcase: cause InitializationError

  • Registration for PC Suite Beta test has ended

    Hi all!
    We received following information from Nokia PC Suite Beta Test team:
    Registration for Beta Test of PC Suite release 6.85 has now ended. Thank you for all who registrated!
    We will send an information letter about Beta Test soon to all who filled in the registration form!
    Best Regards,

    The Nokia PC Suite Beta Test team just informed us that the last day to register for the Beta test of Nokia PC Suite release 6.86 is Thursday, March 6th.
    I wrote all my posts from 2005-2011 as an "Admin" for this community. I still work for Nokia as an external consultant, so my rank in all posts is now "Employee".

  • Issues with Beta Tester Tools on Firefox mobile

    I just downloaded Firefox Mobile Beta 1 on my Droid 2. I remember seeing the "Beta Tester Tools" in an earlier build of fennec so, I tried to install it and I'm running into some issues.
    I first downloaded "fennec-4.0b1.source.tar.bz2" from http://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/latest-beta/source/. I then located "[email protected]" in "mozilla-central/mobile/app/profile/extensions/".
    I compiled the extension like I had for some of the one that I've worked on. I created a site using the guide https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Installing_Extensions_and_Themes_From_Web_Pages
    and uploaded the files to my MobileMe iDisk. Everything showed up perfectly (don't mind the 2nd link, I was trying to install the Firebug beta as well).
    http://web.me.com/celebi23/extensions/index.html
    It installed & is showing up in my Add-ons menu. The Beta icon, however, is not showing up in the Toolbar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    mbrubeck, thank you. I was just trying to figure out if Beta Tester Tools could be installed in Firefox 4 Beta 1. I guess the Beta Tester Tools were disabled in Beta 1. Thanks for the response though.

  • I Think It's Time That Verizon Opens Up Testing Of Updates & Firmware To The Windows Phone Community!!!

    Waiting for Verizon to release updates on a reasonable time table has become a complete failure.  If you only have a couple technicians in house testing the 4-5 devices you only carry and it takes this long, there's a problem with your technicians.
    If you don't want to allocate the time, money and resources to a platform that your sales reps never push or even mention in stores, or on your website or over the phone, I think it's time to either drop the line completely or turn to the Windows Phone Community to do your job for you.
    I think it's time that Verizon takes a queue from Microsoft and opens up testing of updates and firmware to any and all Windows Phone Users that want to help the cause and better support the platform in the process.  You can have your legal department draft up a clause that releases Verizon of any liability if a user opts to test updates or firmware.
    What else better than to have the Community help in the cause (in masses) over the limited few technicians you have in house testing out the updates and firmware.  You will get all the feedback you will need to make a proper decision as to push the updates or firmware or go back to Microsoft and make fixes to any/all bugs that are found.
    In a technological age we live in, to not take advantage of a community of users who would be more than willing to test out products, goods, services, you are just shooting yourself in the foot.
    If you look at the numbers of how many users signed up to be part of Microsoft's Developer Preview app, you will see that there are millions of users willing to take the risk in order to help the cause while being a part of the testing process, making the platform better in the long run.
    It's time for change, it's time to embrace the community, it's time to respond at let the community know one way or another if we are going to get updates and firmware in a timely manner... and not just one update or firmware in a year cycle.
    Windows (9) is going to be released to the general public as Technical Preview on September 30, and you can guarantee that millions of users are going to download the OS and test it out and submit feedback via the OS and Microsoft's Community Forum in order to make it a success...  So why don't you Verizon do the same and open up beta testing of updates and firmware to the Windows Phone Community here!!!
    Think about it, take a poll... but do something, one way or another... It's time to stop keeping us paying customers in the dark regarding updates and firmware that improves the experience, enhances our devices and provides the security that we need for our phones.  If you take good care of us, we will continue to be customers, renew our contracts or even sign up for Verizon Edge Accounts.
    But if you keep us in the dark, you can guarantee that you will get customers leaving when there contracts are up because Windows Phone Users are loyal to Windows Phone... PERIOD!!!
    Waiting for Tidbits and Elector to grace my post with there constant negativity and start a war of words as usual... since they love stirring the pot and angering the Windows Phone Community every time they reply to posts.  I just can't believe they spend that much time here on the forums replying if they are not a paid Verizon employee or a paid basher from a competing platform.

    Well I found nothing wrong in your post. So why even make a statement like the quote I included?
    Once more I am a retired government employee. So I have the time to post. Or has my rights been taken away to voice an opinion?
    Your posts was great you were not whining about your rights to file complaints to the FCC or FTC etc. One of the best I have read.
    And I am not trying to sway you from your phone choice. If you looked at my avitar it shows apple iphones. But I use and have used androids and not Windows phones.
    However your numbers of windows phone users all leaving over the issue is miniscule in the number of users of Android and iOS devices.
    I have written many times I wish all the devices get updated like iOS devices do. But at present that is not happening
    No bashing, no adversarial post just a little common sense is all I use.
    And again your post was great.
    Good Luck

  • Which is better??? for loop or bulk collect

    declare
    cursor test is
    select * from employees;
    begin
    open test;
    loop
    exit when test%notfound;
    fetch test into myvar_a(i); CASE A
    i:=i+1;
    end loop;
    close test;
    open test;
    fetch test bulk collect into myvar_b; CASE B
    close test;
    end;
    Which case is better?? A or B?
    Edited by: Kakashi on May 31, 2009 12:54 AM

    Depends on the meaning of better.
    Generally case B should be faster although a bit more elaborate code is required.
    But there may be exceptions. I think I read somewhere (I'm home now and I cannot find it at the moment) that in 10g (or 11g - not sure) 100 rows at a time are pre-fetched behind scenes even when you use case A. So using case B with a low limit could well be slower.
    If I can express an additional opinion case F(irst) is nearly always the best i.e. plain SQL (no loops at all). I'm aware that sometimes it cannot be used, but should be the first approach to be tried.

    Hey Tom, love the site. I noticed in your first fetch, which was in the first for loop that did an unconditional exit:
    2 for x in ( select rownum r, t1.* from big_table.big_table t1 )
    3 loop
    4 exit;
    5 end loop;
    In looking at the TKPROF output for that query, it shows the number of rows being fetched as 100. Does that prove / demonstrate the bulk collecting optimization that Oracle added in 10g, where it implicitly and automatically does a bulk collect of limit 100 behind the scenes?
    This came up at a discussion at my site very recently, and I think I can just point them to your example here as a demo rather than creating my own. I assume that if you ran the same thing in 9iR2, then that first fetch of rows in TKPROF would only show 1?
    Followup April 18, 2007 - 1pm US/Eastern:
    yes, that demonstrates the implicit array fetch of 100 rows...
    in 9i, it would show 1 row fetched.

  • Organism: extensible outliner+personal organizer (needs beta testers)

    Organism is basically a simple outliner structured in a very modular way: the core is written in Python 2 (but should be easily adaptable to Python 3) and provides the backend for interacting with sqlite databases, where the data is stored.
    The core also provides an API that can be used by 3 kinds of addons: extensions, interfaces and plugins.
    Extensions are meant to extend core functionalities, and provide their own API: they can directly query the databases.
    Interfaces are the addons that let the user directly interact with core's and extensions' API: currently only a wxPython interface is implemented. Interfaces cannot directly query the databases, they must make calls to the core or the extensions.
    Plugins are for interfaces what extensions are for the core: they extend interface functionalities and cannot directly query the databases.
    The various addons are currently distributed with 3 components (installation packages, but I decided not to use the word "package" since it conflicts with Python packages):
    * the "main" component provides the core, a copy/paste extension, the wxPython interface and some basic plugins.
    * the "organizer" component provides extensions and plugins that let the user define time scheduling rules for each database entry; alarms are raised when events take place, and they can be snoozed or dismissed, like the average calendar application.
    * the "development" component provides some tools for developers and beta testers (currently only "print database tables" and "populate database")
    Organism and its addons are released under GPLv3.
    AUR PACKAGES
    * organism: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=54620
    * organism-organizer: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=54622

    SCREENSHOTS
    * http://www.dariogiovannetti.net/files/organism01.png
    * http://www.dariogiovannetti.net/files/organism02.png
    CURRENT KNOWN LIMITATIONS
    * At the current state, plugins can add their own items to the interface's main menu, but by default they just append them at the bottom of the main entries, so the user needs to customize them in Organism's configuration file, which is located in ~/.config/organism/organism.conf. The location of the configuration file can be changed with the --config flag, all the available options are shown with the --help flag.
    * Once you create a database, the current addon configuration is stored in it, so you won't be able to open it with a different combination of addons: this is done to prevent data corruption, since an extension may add some particular data that needs updating, and if the database is opened without that extension it may get corrupted. Of course The next release of Organism will give the ability to "update" the databases to support the new versions of the addons.
    * At the moment only 3 schedule rules are implemented, but they are fairly easy to write and can be requested specifically.
    * This post is currently by far the best piece of documentation about Organism (except the source itself), I'll try to catch up on that too ^^
    * The next goal is releasing a stable 1.0.0 version, which means that only the most essential features are implemented, there's much room for improvement!
    DEPENDENCIES
    Beside wxpython, needed until the current interface is the only one available, Organism depends on 4 external Python modules I wrote during its development:
    * python2-plural: a little module that returns the needed form of a string depending on one or more input variables.
    * python2-loggingext: an extension to the logging module that lets the logger use different formatters for different log message levels.
    * python2-texthistory: a simple undo/redo engine for plain text and wx.TextCtrl.
    * python2-configfile: a class useful for dynamically parsing and writing configuration files, with support for subsections and more.
    python2-texthistory and python2-configfile may even be tested separately, if somebody is interested in using them for other projects.
    BETA TESTING
    Organism is in pre-beta, which means that I'm still accepting minor feature requests before going beta and starting the real testing campaign: that's why I'm looking for people interested in the project who want to help testing it.
    Beta testers should concentrate in particular in these fields:
    * defects in reading/writing the configuration file
    * defects in the database's undo/redo engine
    * defects in item text editor's undo/redo engine
    * defects in the organizer's management of timed item occurrences
    Of course bugs can happen everywhere, they can be reported at https://github.com/kynikos/organism/issues and https://github.com/kynikos/organism-organizer/issues
    Beta testers should use organism either by setting the logging level to "33" in the configuration file or by launching it with "--loglevel 33".
    ARTISTIC CONTRIBUTIONS
    I'm also looking for somebody intersted in an artistic collaboration for creating an original icon, since currently Organism is using GTK theme icons only.
    Thanks for reading

    Hi this is Omar Poueriet and my case is the following:
    Recently I finished to installed an EP60 SP19 based on Java+ABAP addin and everytime and then I logged on my EP system and define the corresponding settings for:
    Connector property
    User Management property
    WAS property
    ITS property
    with their corresponding values at each stage, now everytime I try to test the connection in order to see that everything has gone fine, an error message is displayed at every defined connections, meaning the following:
    <b><b>"HTTP/S connection failed. Make sure the protocol, host name, and user mapping are correctly defined."</b></b>
    Please if any of you GURU's has any idea of what's going on this case, feedback ASAP, because I have some pendient task to complete based on EPortal 6.0 and ERP/2004 and that's STOPPED by the moment.
    Awaiting for your feedback shortly,

    Don't worry if the connection tests fail. It is better to create an iView that uses the system and see if that works...

  • LR and Windows 7 Beta?

    Has anyone tried Lightroom with Windows 7 Beta yet?
    Thanks,
    David

    Running LR2.2 under Win 7 64-bit and having some problems.
    When I zoom in, either the whole photograph or parts of it disappears into the background colour. Sometimes parts of the image turn 90 degrees when I view around while zoomed.
    The issue could be related to (probably) shaky Nvidia display drivers as I'd assume they are far from being tested-and-true for a beta release. By the way perfomance feels better on Win 7 than on XP: Sliders react faster and lag less, grid view and preview draw is faster too.
    Related system specs if someone is interested:

  • Android Development - When I test a movie, flash is no longer generating an APK file.

    The only thing I get is a swf file. I don't really know why Flash CS 5.5 refuses to generate my project's apk file since I've never encountered a problem like this before. Is it a bug or am I doing something wrong? My player is set to AIR for Android, I have my certificate, I don't get any errors, and debugging on my device via USB works flawlessly. Am I missing something? I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

    Flash loves to forget the path it should publish to. This has been a newbish thing they have never fixed, ever. Go in your settings and make sure the SWF and the publish location of the APK are in the place you expect every single time you ever start Flash. By that I mean don't look at the path, press the browse button and guide to the correct path regardless what it says every time. Adobe should have fixed this issue forever ago. That wouldn't pass my development testing standards, let alone alpha, beta, RC or gold. It's just a really stupid issue.
    Otherwise if you get no errors I see no reason you're not generating an APK.

  • Jmeter test load : iview not compatible

    Hello,
    I use Jmeter to test our server response time. I send a http request to the sap portal homepage and the server send back an html page with the message :
    <b>iView is not compatible with your browser, operating system or device. Contact your system administrator</b>
    So I believe that my results are not accurate due to this error message. Can I configure Jmeter or SAP Portal so that I can carry on my tests or is there a better tool for server test load ?
    Thank you for your answers.

    Hi Christophe,
    the reason is that iViews can have - and have by default - a restriction of supported browsers. If the http request does not declare to match these settings, the portals gives the answer as you have realized.
    See SAP note 933452 for further details.
    A workaround can be as described in this note to set the allowed browsers to (,,*), which means no restriction at all. Or maybe you could just pass for example IE settings within the header of the http request, so that the portal thinks it's an IE which does the request, and answers with full response.
    Hope it helps (for sure it will)

  • Jdev Team - Frustrated with Simple UIX-XML test case

    Why can't I get a simple UIX-XML test case to run? Better still why can't I get a response as to why it won't run? This is my second attempt at a post as the other was just left hanging. Iwas asked for more info, I provided it and that ended that.
    Again, I created a workspace. Used the scott schema and created a project with a set of VO's (and took the ALL defaults). I have created a UIX-JSP and BC4J-JSP projects that both run fine (taking all the defaults). In that same workspace without any modifications to the VO's I created a UIX-XML project. The main menu runs fine. None of the forms will run. I get the following error if I choose ANY form from the menu or I get the same error if I just run any form from Jdeveloper (except main.uix of course):
    Servlet error: Renderer failed: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -10
    What is happening? Why cant I get this to run. Is this a failed technology? I can't seem to find any working UIX samples.
    TIA,
    Ed.
    PS. A footnote: * It seems if you don't get an answer from the Jdev team inside of two days your post is toast (unless it's a rant in which case everyone seems to jump on the band wagon). :-) :-) :-) ;-)

    Hmmmmm...... did I mention I was on Internet Explorer 6.0.2600.0000 ? Probably does not matter.
    Also, although I loaded the full 9i Developer suite, I also loaded (in a seperate directory), Sun's J2DKSE 1.3.1_03 and J2DKEE 1.3.1 and have the following local environment variables set:
    JAVA_HOME = d:\java\j2sdk
    JDK_HOME = d:\java\j2sdk
    J2EE_HOME = d:\java\j2sdkee
    JDEV_HOME = d:\oracle\9iDS\jdev
    Are any of these redundant or are they clobbering something for UIX-XML?
    TIA,
    Ed.
