Test execution order from Maven Plugin

Hello,
I would like to ask if there any option to set the order execution of the test as true in order to execute the test how I want.
If it is possible, please provide any sample.
Regards,
Agustin Celentano

Hi Agustin,
You can use test suites to do that. I remember being able to set the order of the test cases in the test suite but now the up and down arrows are gone. But I remember reading somewhere here that there is a way to make it visible. Another alternative is you can prefix your test cases with numbers so that they'll be ordered in the test suite.
cheers!

  • Maven Plugin not accepting values from a property file.

    Hi,
    I want to create javadocs using maven.
    It works fine when i provide all the absolute paths in the pom.
    But when i try to provide paths by reading a property file then the maven-javadoc-plugin does not get the paths from this property file.
    The property file is defined as mentioned in below format:
    src_mvn_consult_framework_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/projects/framework
    src_mvn_consult_module_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/projects/module
    src_mvn_consult_appx_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/projects/appx
    src_mvn_consult_client_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/projects/client
    src_mvn_consult_app_webservice_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/application/com.ofss.fc.cz.nab.webservices
    src_mvn_consult_app_middleware_dir=/var/lib/hudson/jobs/CZ_NAB_CORE_MVN_CHECKOUT/workspace/middleware/application/com.ofss.fc.cz.nab.middleware
    Calling this property file in the pom like:
    <plugin>
         <groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
         <artifactId>properties-maven-plugin</artifactId>
         <version>1.0-alpha-2</version>
         <executions>
         <execution>
         <phase>initialize</phase>
         <goals>
    <goal>read-project-properties</goal>
         </goals>
         <configuration>
    <files>
         <file>/var/build/consult/maven/cz_javadoc-config.properties</file>
    </files>
         </configuration>
         </execution>
         </executions>
    </plugin>
    Finally we are using keys defined in property file in pom like:
    <plugin>
              <groupId>org.apache.maven.plugins</groupId>
              <artifactId>maven-javadoc-plugin</artifactId>
              <version>2.7</version>
              <configuration>
              <sourcepath>${src_mvn_consult_framework_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_module_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_appx_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_client_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_app_webservice_dir};
                   ${src_mvn_consult_app_middleware_dir};
              </sourcepath>
              </configuration>
    </plugin>
    Please suggest how we can get the value of keys defined in the property file in POM
    Thanks for your invaluable support

    I've had to do something similar in one of my apps.  In order to populate values in the THIS scope, you'll need to put a copy of the XML loading/processing logic in the pseudo-constructor (or encapsulate it in a separate CFM/CFC file and include it in both places).  It's ugly, but that's the only way I'm aware of to access the THIS scope.

  • Execution order of Multiple Numeric Limit Test?

    What is the execution order of "Multiple Numeric Limit Test" in TestStand 2010?
    I am using a custom steptype of Multiple Numeric Limit Test. I want to manipulate the input parameter. How can I do that. I am not interested in making a new steptype. I am writing in Post-Expressions and the data is manipulated as they should but it is not evaluated. I is evaluated before the Post-Expressions executes.
    For example I am writing: Step.NumericArray[0]= Step.NumericArray[0]*1000/(2.5-Step.NumericArray[0])
    The execution order when looking at the TS manual at page 3-13 is Evaluate Post-Expression before Evaluate Status expression. But it is not what I see. I have also tryed using the more simple Numeric Limit Test and it works as I expect it to according the manual.
    Anyone knows about any workaround for that?

    Hi Ray
    Thanks for your reply
    I have tried writing what you are suggesting: Step.Result.Measurement[0].Data= Step.Result.Measurement[0].Data*1000/(2.5-Step.Result.Measurement[0].Data)
    Still it evaluates the step before the post-Expression. When I am looking at the variables at runtime the Step.Result.Measurement[0].Data is having the correct value but it seems to evaluate the step before the Post-Expressions.
    Any other suggestions?

  • Test Slot Execution Order in Batch Process

    Using TS4.0 with the batch model and have noticed that when a step is locked to allow only 1 slot to execute at a time,  sometimes the slots do not execute tests in order. i.e slot 4 may execute before slot 2 and so on.
    I am writing a new subsequence to test a communications link between boards in seperate test slots. In this test the steps are also locked to allow only 1 slot to execute at a time. In addition, the slots must execute in order - slot 0, slot 1, slot 2, etc.
    How can I make sure that the slots execute in order instead of first come, first serve?
    Thanks,
    Steve S.

    By default the order should be based on the testsocket index so things should be behaving the way you want. The only thing I can think of is maybe your slot numbers do not always correspond directly to the testsocket index of the thread. How are you getting the slot numbers? You can see the testsocket index for a thread by looking at the "RunState.TestSockets.MyIndex" property. If you base your slot number off of this you should be getting the order you are expecting.
    The way the order is determined is as follows:
    If you look in the "Add TestSocket Threads to Batch" sequence in the batch process model you will see the "Add To Batch" step is using the testsocket index as the order number for the batch which is what is used to determine which testsocket enters a section first.
    If your slot numbers do correpsond directly to the testsocket indices then please attach an example sequence to reproduce the problem if possible and I will try to figure out why it's not working.
    Hope this helps,
    -Doug

    Thus it seems FlexPMD can no longer be used with Maven due to some sort of binary incompatibility issue...
    Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

    Hooray, I got to the bottom of issue.
    Basically the flex PMD maven plugin is broken at version 1.2 with more recent version of  maven-site-plugin.  This is because of a new abstract method introduced to the class AbstractMavenReport - canGenerateReport();
    This method isn't implemented in the FlexPmdMojo and FlexPmdReportMojo classes on the SVN trunk or in flexPMD 1.2 and was causing >mvn site to fail as outlined above. Add implementations of this method, returning true in both classes and the plugin works again!
    Note the method also needs to be added to the relevant Mojo and ReportMojo classes for the FlexMetrics and CPD maven plugins to get them working too.
    Flex PMD commiters - please release a new version of the project to resolve this showstopper!

  • Control subvi execution order

    I have a test program with 2 subVIs and the first one simply creates a text file and writes a large string to it, the second one writes another string to the same file and then closes it. Is there a way to set execution order as the subVI that writes and then closes the file seems to be executing first. The subVis are independent from each other. Thanks.

    No.  Just wire the error out of the first VI to the error in of the second VI.
    When you switch from a text-based language to LV, the hardest thing to realize is that the position on the diagram has essentially nothing to do with the order of execution.  The dataflow concept is very powerful but quite foreign to text programming.  The core point is that any node (function, subVI, structure,...) may begin to execute when data is present at ALL of its inputs.  Similarly, the node's outputs are not available until the node completes its execution.

  • Maven Plugin classpaths

    Any Maven gurus out there? (I can't send to the maven user mailing list at the moment for apparently DNS related reasons)
    In the interests of automating a build, I'm currently trying to hack
    the hibernate3-maven-plugin mojo so that it will accept a necessary
    configuration file from a JAR brought in as a dependency.
    The JAR contains a resource (hibernate.cfg.xml) in its root package,
    but no matter how I try, I can't seem to get the JAR to be on the
    plugin's classpath.
    The following (brutish) code should output the path to the file
    resource within the JAR when running. My code is definitely being
    invoked within the Maven task (changes to the system out are visible
    in Maven's generated output when running).
    final URL url = ClassLoader.getSystemResource("hibernate.cfg.xml");
    System.out.println("URL: "+url);Running within the Maven task the output is always
    URL: nullRunning as a testcase class with the dependency JAR on the classpath
    the output is something like:
    URL:
    jar:file:/C:/dev/apps/myapp-core/target/
    myapp-core-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar!/hibernate.cfg.xmlSo it seems clear cut that this is a classpath problem. Presumably I'm
    trying to get the JAR onto the plugin's classpath in the wrong manner
    - how should I be doing this? Or is there some reason it can't be
    done? Or am I doing something else equally stupid wrong instead?
    Relevant trimmed snippet of the pom follows:
           <plugins>
               <plugin>
                   <groupId>org.codehaus.mojo</groupId>
                   <artifactId>hibernate3-maven-plugin</artifactId>
                   <version>2.0-alpha-3-SNAPSHOT</version>
                   <dependencies>
                       <dependency>
                           <groupId>my.group.id</groupId>
                           <artifactId>myapp-core</artifactId>
                           <version>1.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
                       </dependency>
                   </dependencies>
                   <configuration>
                       <components> ... </components>
                       <executions> ... <execution>
                       <componentProperties>
                           <configurationfile>
                               hibernate.cfg.xml
                           </configurationfile>
                       ... etc.

    I met a friend and M2 guru for beers last night, and presented the question to him. Unfortunately, our local brewpub serves 22 oz mugs, and I had four of them (not driving), so the details of his explanation are long gone. I do recall him saying that plugins do have their own classloader (which makes sense).
    But that's not the reason I'm replying :-)
    Assuming that the plugins combine the dependency classpath with their own classpath (which your experiments seem to indicate), then getting the context classloader is the right approach. Supposedly, it's how you should always get a classloader, particularly in a J2EE container, but I've never found a good explanation of why.

  • Maven plugin for managing CQ5 packages

    Hi,
    Here's some new documentation that explains how to use the Content Package Maven plugin. You can package and install content from your maven build...for example, in your POM, add goals for package creation and installation to automatically deploy the OSGi bundle that was built. You can perform other package management tasks on remote servers, like rebuild packages,  and list, uninstall, and remove them.

    Thank you so much for prompt reply!!
    I am new to this so I am bit confused.
    Would it be possible for you to check my pom file? And let me know if the configuration looks Ok?
    Command used: mvn clean package content-package:install -P felix-deploy

  • Uploading open sales orders from sap

    hi all,
    i need to upload open sales orders from legacy to sap. pls advice what steps need to be followed for the same.
    1) how we will we download open sales order from legacy and where..... is it to some flat file or some other option is  there . pls tell some options.
    2) how we will uload the sales ordes into sap . thru lsmw or is there some other option ?
    3)  there will be more number of fields in sap than in legacy. i think we need to manully create an excel file and add more fields manually in excel file so that the compulsonry feilds as per sap are present in sap ?
    4) how will availability check happen  in sap after sales order are t/f from legacy ?
    rgds
    pamela

    hi pamela,
    1.a. you need to down load in EXCEL in legact format and convert the same in LSMW format and upload it
    2.a. LSMW - Functionally, BDC, BAPI - Technically. to my knowledge LSMW is better option.
    3.a. first you download to EXCEL file from LEGACY, then align the same to SAP format you can add those fields that are mandatory as per your requriment.
    4.a.You are uploading sales orders in SAP which are showing OPEN status from LEGACY before you uploading the sales orders MM consultant would have uploaded its stock through 561 - dont worry on that, even though if stock is not uploaded also not an issue it will confirm at the later date.
    5.a. we have used LSMW process for our PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENT, before that we tested BAPI for it some how it was not capturing some fields.
    hope all your queries are solved

  • Get Sales Orders from R/3 to CRM

    Hi,
    I want to get a list of the latest 3 sales orders which were placed for a Business partner.
    The Sales orders are being created in R/3 and i want to be able to get this data into the CRM system.
    The CRM middleware is not configured to sync R/3 to CRM.
    How can i do this?
    Regards
    Shivani

    Hi Shivani,
    I am not sure whether I understood your question or not. But if you want to use standard MW to exchange the data then you need to do the following.
    I am assuming your R/3 and CRM are connected to each other ( check the same using tr. SM50 and test the connection from one system to other system)
    1> check the queues R3A* & CSA* are registered in transaction SMQR

    then you can load the object SALESDOCUMENT using the transaction R3AS - put some filter for this adaptor object so that it will bring only those transaction which you want to.

  • How to load a plugin from another plugin?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to load a plugin, which is not located in the plugin-paths of After Effects from another plugin. It seems to load the aex(dll) and execute the main function fine, but afterwards it crashes immediately and I have no idea why.
    This is how my pluginLoader-PlugIn looks like:
    1. I created a commandHook to be able to trigger the pluginLoad from the Edit Menu
    2. for the actual load of the dll I use the following commands:
              AEGP_SuiteHandler    suites(basic_suite);
            std::string dllName = "C:/PATH/TO/plugin.aex";
            // defining type and order of the arguments of the entry function
            typedef A_Err (*args_type)(SPBasicSuite *pica_basicP, A_long major_versionL, A_long minor_versionL, A_long aegp_plugin_id, AEGP_GlobalRefcon *global_refconP);
            args_type pluginEntryMethod = NULL;
            // loading the dll(aex) and the entry function
            # ifdef _WIN32
            HMODULE hDLL = LoadLibrary(dllName.c_str());
            if (hDLL != NULL)
                pluginEntryMethod = (args_type) GetProcAddress(hDLL, "EntryPointFunc");
            else
                return err;
            # else
            void *pLib = ::dlopen(szMyLib, RTLD_LAZY);
            if (pLib != NULL) {
                pluginEntryMethod = (args_type)::dlsym(pLib, "EntryPointFunc");
            else
                return err;
            # endif
            if (pluginEntryMethod != NULL)
                // hardcoding the plugin version
                A_long mavL = 0L;
                A_long mivL = 1L;
                AEGP_PluginID plId;
                // to get a valid plugin-id I use this command
                suites.UtilitySuite3()->AEGP_RegisterWithAEGP(*globalRefcon, "nameOfPlugin", &plId);
                // I create copy of the refcon and the suite
                AEGP_GlobalRefcon newRefcon(*globalRefcon);
                SPBasicSuite newSuite(*basic_suite);
                pluginEntryMethod(&newSuite, mavL, mivL, plId, &newRefcon);
            # ifdef _WIN32
                FreeLibrary(hDLL);
            # else
                dlclose(pLib);
            # endif
    If I run After Effects with the debugger, the EntryFunction of the new plugin runs through without errors. But Then it crashes and stops at random positions: sometimes in the IdleHook of the newly loaded Plugin, sometimes in the MenuHook.
    Does anyone have an idea, what I am doing wrong?
    btw: when I copy the second plugin in the default Afx-Plugin-Folder it loads fine and seems to work correct.
    Thanks for your help!
    Martin

    Okay, unfortunately it had nothing to do with static or dynamic linking of the dependencies.
    I was able to boil it down to the following problem but I'm still stuck on how to solve the situation:
    The problem has to do with an invalid AEGP_GlobalRefcon of the Plugin I load:
    the plugin loader:
    // the load of the inner plugin..
    AEGP_GlobalRefcon newRefcon; // generating a new refcon
    suites.UtilitySuite5()->AEGP_RegisterWithAEGP(newRefcon, pluginName.c_str(), &plId); // gathering a plugin id
    pluginEntryMethod(basic_suite, mavL, mivL, plId, &newRefcon) // calling the entry function
    the loaded plugin:
    A_Err EntryPointFunc(
        struct SPBasicSuite        *pica_basicP,
        A_long                     major_versionL,
        A_long                    minor_versionL,
        AEGP_PluginID            aegp_plugin_id,
        AEGP_GlobalRefcon        *global_refconP)
        *global_refconP = (AEGP_GlobalRefcon) new CustomClass(pica_basicP, aegp_plugin_id); // this is where the refcon gets invalid
        return err;
    To gather a valid plugin id, I register the plugin and assign a new AEGP_GlobalRefcon to it, which is for instance at address 0x0001234abcd (plugin-loader line 3)
    then I call the entry function(plugin-loader line 4) and the entry function creates a custom class and stores a pointer to its instance in the global_refconP pointer, which changes the address from 0x0001234abcd to 0x0a010b020c3d4.
    The crash happens later, when a hook (eg IdleHook) is called, which tries to reinterpret the refconPV-pointer of the plugin (address 0x0001234abcd) to a CustomClass-instance, because the actual instance is stored at 0x0a010b020c3d4.
    I reckon, that I can fix this if I either can change the global refcon of the plugin after the enty function has run or if I can get a valid plugin id before calling the entry function and doing the registration with the new refcon I got returned by the entry function of the loaded plugin.
    Does anyone know how to achieve one of these two goals?

  • After updating to latest version of Java (7.10) it no longer works and JRE has disappeared from my plugins list

    On checking my add-ons and plugins I attempted to update Java Run Time to latest version as firefox said it was outdated.
    I tried installing new version JRE 7.10 manually and through firefox (which said the installation was successful). When testing it, I get told that Java is not working and that a plug in is missing. Can not check whether the new plugin is enabled as JRE has disappeared from the plugins tab (Only Deployment Toolkit appears).
    The Java control console says that it was successfully installed in all browsesr. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Java 3 times and keep getting the same result. Java is working fine on chrome and IE so problem must be with FF.

    i have already tried installing the offline version but Java SE7U10 does not show in the add-ons menu and Java doesn't work
