Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime in Jdev 11.1.1.5

Hi,
I know this question was asked around here quite a few times, but I am unable to find an answer that will work.
I am on 11.1.1.5, web logic 10.3.5
Trying to establish a connection from JDev 11.1.1.5 build 6013 to weblogic managed server, getting this messages:
Testing JSR-160 Runtime ... success.
Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime ... failed.
Cannot establish connection.
Testing JSR-88 ... skipped.
Testing JSR-88-LOCAL ... skipped.
Testing JNDI ... success.
Testing JSR-160 Edit ... failed.
Cannot establish connection.
Testing HTTP ... success.
Testing Server MBeans Model ... skipped.
Testing HTTP Authentication ... success.
Both admin and managed servers are started from the command line. 'Use proxy' checkbox in JDev preferences is not checked. Listen address for the managed server I tried both as 127.0.0.1 and empty.
Managed server log doesn't have any errors.
Connection to the admin server works fine.
What else can I look at?
Thank you

Thanks, Frank,
No, I am not on VPN.
I am getting this if in jdev I try to create connection to either the so called bam_server1 (port 9001) which was created for me during initial soa domain configuration, or to the managed server that I created after the initial soa domain creation. The connection to the admin server works fine.
Let me please confirm - in JDev you can create connection only to admin server or you can also create connection to the managed server in which case you select the port for that managed server, correct? The reason I am asking is because by now I am confused if I should be able to do it at all...
Thank you
Anatoliy

  • JSR-160 and WLS 8.1

    Good day,
Does WLS 8.1 support JSR-160, JMX Remote API 1.0? I know that WLS supports remotable MBeans but that is via the WLS interfaces, I am looking for something which would allow more generic tools to remotely access the MBean server.
    Thanks,
    Sean

    Hello sean,
JMX remote API 1.0 is not supported in wls 8.1. This will be supported
in our next WebLogic Server release slated for next year sometime.
    Thanks,
    -satya

  • Can not test, run or debug from JDev 10.1.3

    Hi,
Just starting to play with latest JDeveloper 10.1.3 (installed latest version + patch), I've then created a new application (ADF BC + JSF), a new ViewObject and an app module.
When I try to test the app module, I'm getting the following error:

The Port which i am using is 45701. Any pointers on this?

    Hi
You can find the SSL port of the Admin Server using the Admin Console (eg, http://localhost:7001/console).
    Environment -> Servers
    Click AdminServer(admin)
    SSL Listen Port: 7002 (default).
You should check the "SSL Listen Port Enabled" check box to connect to this admin server with ssl port.
For your informationWhen you configure the Application Server Connection from the JDeveloper, you need to check the 'Always use SSL' check box and enter the SSL port. You can create the Application Server Connection for your sSSL port from the JDeveloper.

  • Application server connection issue with jdev

    Hi,
we have a fusion application instance, deployed in amazon cloud. I am able to connect to this instance/console using the browser.
I am able to login to weblogic - console, so credentials and everything is correct, now when I am giving same information in jdeveloper and trying connecting using jdev.
its failing 7 out or 9 tests which jdev do for connectivity. We have checked the proxy settings, but its not an issue, no proxy settings there.
Now we have almost check all forms and connection issues, but no help yet. Looking for immediate support.
Thanks in advance for any support.

  • JDev Integrated Web Logic Server fails

I'm a newbie with WLS. I've installed JDEV 11.1.1.3 in Windows XP SP3, and installed extensions for Webcenter.
Now trying to go through webcenter tutorial, I arrived at point where I'm trying to run a small application,
but nothing works. I've searched and searched the internet for clues, help, and tried multiple things, but nothing helps.
First, I get the warning message
    Warning> <Server> <BEA-002611> <Hostname "XXX", maps to multiple IP addresses: 10.10.10.10, 169.254.25.129, 192.168.2.6
and then when I disable all the network connections for these IPs, just to see if this would help,
then the server appears to start successfully, but the tutorial app that compiled successfully does not start to run in any brower.
I go through the properties of the Application Server for the Integrated Web Logic Server to test the connection and I get
    Testing JSR-160 Runtime ... failed.
    Cannot establish connection.
    Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime ... skipped.
    Testing JSR-88 ... skipped.
    Testing JSR-88-LOCAL ... skipped.
    Testing JNDI ... skipped.
    Testing JSR-160 Edit ... skipped.
    Testing HTTP ... failed.
Unable to open conection: Connection refused: connect
Testing Server MBeans Model ... skipped.
I have no clue, and trying different configurations does not help.
I need a WebLogic for Dummies guide. Anyone have some clue ?

Thanks Ravi Jegga for looking at my post. Here's some info.

  • Connection to the external WLS from JDev

    Hi,
    I am with Jdev 11.1.1.5
I am getting trouble creating a connection to the admin weblogic server runnig on the same box.
I was trying to do this from within doing from within my tutorial BPM project while creating a new user under Organization node.
Once all names and credentials are supplied upon testing the connection I am getting
    Testing JSR-160 Runtime ... failed.
    Cannot establish connection.
    Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime ... skipped.
    Testing JSR-88 ... skipped.
    Testing JSR-88-LOCAL ... skipped.

    Testing JSR-160 Edit ... skipped.
    Testing HTTP ... success.
Testing Server MBeans Model ... skipped.
    Testing HTTP Authentication ... success.
    2 of 9 tests successful.
The admin wls server that I was trying to create connection to is up and running and accessible as I verified.
Could someone please indicate what the problem may be?
I thought I should be able to create application server conneciont through Application Resources / Connections but only options from right-click on Connecitons-->New I am seeing are:
    Database
    BAM
    JMX
    SOA-MDS
    URL
    WebDAV
    WSIL
I am not seeing Application Server option as I think used to be the way in 11.1.1.6 though I may be missing something.
    Thank you
    Anatoliy

  • Deploying to WebLogic

    Hey Everyone,
Long time reader, first time writer. I've installed JDev 11.1.2.3 and am having trouble starting the WebLogic Server.
Testing my connection yields this information:
    Testing JSR-160 Runtime ... failed
    Cannot establish connection.
    Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime ... skipped
    Testing JSR-88 ... skipped
    Testing JSR-88-LOCAL ... skipped
    Testing JNDI ... skipped
    Testing JSR-160 Edit ... skipped
    Testing HTTP ... failed
Unable to open conection: Connection refused: connect
Testing Server MBeans Model ... skipped
    Testing App Controller ... success
    1 of 9 tests successful.
The same does not happen in 11.1.2.2, and this thread didn't help as much as I had hoped - Re: can not make integrated weblogic server work
Thanks in advance for the guidance.

Thanks Timo, that's the conclusion I've reached as well. Here's my stack trace:

  • Why Cannot establish connection.

    Hi,
I'm a new for weblogic and jdeveloper, and now I try to deploy FOD (http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/samples/fod/index.html) on a Linux server(Jdeveloper is running on the same server),but the connection to localhost can't be established. When I check the connection to 127.0.0.1 on port 7101, it always complains like that:
    Testing JSR-160 Runtime ... failed.
    Cannot establish connection.
    Testing JSR-160 DomainRuntime ... skipped.
    Testing JSR-88 ... skipped.
    Testing JSR-88-LOCAL ... skipped.
    Testing JNDI ... skipped.
    Testing JSR-160 Edit ... skipped.
    Testing HTTP ... success.
Testing Server MBeans Model ... skipped.
but the website: http://127.0.0.1:7101/console can be accessed, anyone knows why?
    Thank you.

You are not able to establish a connection from jdev to the server right. If so you need to add an entry with the ip address and the hostname of server in the host file C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.

    Hi,
you can start the Jdev by command line and then see the log that it is generating. Maybe there you can see the problem that is happening.
Also you can check if the server is running with
         telnet hostname 7001
    Some possible reasons
you have a firewall blocking the connection
did you check /etc/hosts file entry ? should be something like this <ip address of host > hostname1
    Cheers
    Augusto

From the admin console ... Are you able to check the status of Node Manager ?
If yes ... please check the SSL configuration of managed servers ...
Check the domain administration port also.

Disable proxy settings in JDeveloper (Tools -->Preferences --> Web Browser and Proxy).
Then, re-start JDeveloper IDE and re-test your application server Connection,it should work fine.
