Testing my WebService through WSADMIN I am getting java.rmi.RemoteException

Hello,
I am testing my WebService with name ZEDI_GET_TPDATA_WSD through WSADMIN. It opens the WebService Home Page.
Overe there I put my User Name and Password.
Then I click on Test. But when I click on Operations
"ZediGetTpdata (test.types.p1.ZediGetTpdata parameters)".
It gives me below error
Cannot find operation: wsdl = http://zhmscaqb.whirlpool.com:7992/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZEDI_GET_TPDATA_WSD?sap-client=800&wsdl=1.1, endpoint = ZEDI_GET_TPDATA_WSDSoapBinding, operation = public abstract test.types.p1.ZediGetTpdataResponse test.ZEDI_GET_TPDATA_WSD.zediGetTpdata(test.types.p1.ZediGetTpdata) throws java.rmi.RemoteException,test.ZediGetTpdataRfcException
Pls suggest.
Regards

what is ZEDI_GET_TPDATA_WSD ?
is it a web service developed in java or is it a RFC exposed as a web service?

  • Java.rmi.RemoteException - on deploying a webservice through NWDS.

    Hi All,
    We have created and successfully build a webservice application in NWDS.
    Now when the activity is activated in Activation view, the build goes fine but deployment gets aborted with the following error:
    Caught exception during application deployment from SAP J2EE Engine's deploy service:
    java.rmi.RemoteException: Cannot deploy application syngenta.com/crmws~usprvwebservice..
    Reason: Webservices common deployment exception! The reason is: Error occurred, trying to update web services for application
    The Runtime system is on SAP J2EE ENGINE CORE 7.00 - SPS 19.
    For the same issue i checked in SDN and found out a SAP NOTE - 956443, according to which 2 sda files 'webservices' and 'webservices_lib'  were to be deployed on the server.
    We have done the same and restarted the engine also. But still on deployment we got the same error again.
    Just wanted to know the workaround for this issue and whether some updated version of this SAP Note does exist?
    Regards,

    Hi All,
    Now the above issue has been resolved and the webservice is getting deployed successfully, and is visible under Web service Navaigator of the desired server.
    But when i am clicking on the webservice name i am getting an error:
    Cannot download WSDL from http://<name>:<port>/webservicename/Config1?wsdl: java.lang.NullPointerException.
    Could you please help out with this issue.

  • Must redeploy app or get java.rmi.AccessException: CORBA NO_PERMISSION 9998

    Hello. I'm hoping someone can give me a clue to the source of this problem.
    I have a very simple test application which consists of one EJB which is just a stateless session bean that has a method which return the String "Hello". This method can only be run by a user in the "test" role.
    I have a simple commandline client packaged in the application. I use deploytool to extract the Client.jar and I can run it with appclient - client myClient.jar. This little class connects to the bean in the server (via jndi lookup as per all tutorial example) and calls the sayHello() method. A login dialog appears in order to authenticate the user as it should and everything works perfectly ... BUT ...
    If I stop the server and start it again and try to run the client exactly the same way (appclient - client myClient.jar), I get the error message below. The application is running and I confirm that its there using deploytool and asadmin to list components, etc. The only way I can get it work again is by redeploying the application.
    I've looked around and found nothing about this regarding Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8 2004Q4 Beta (which is what I'm using). I found some vague references to a similar sounding problem from people using Application Server 7, but the work around in those posts references switches and settings in deploytool that dont seem to be there in my version.
    Can anyone suggest a fix? I'd like the application to work upon starting up the server each morning for example without having to redeploy it. I'm glad to provide my test application archives and sources to anyone who would find them useful for solving this problem.
    Thanks!

    Hi Raja.
    So Sorry for the delay. Anyway, I've come back to try to do this now and just cant make the problem happen! I'm tearing my hair out to figure out what has changed. In the meantime, I'm going to just move past this. If it shows up again, I'll be sure to post all related files back in this forum.
    Thanks!

  • Calling a service through the EJB results in java.rmi.UnmarshalException

    I have created a service on WLAI that does a simple query against a table (inventory
    count by product ID). I have also created a command line class to call this service,
    provide the correct XML schema input, and wait for a returning XML response.
    The class compiles fine, but at runtime I am hitting a java.rmi.UnmarshalException,
    with a nested exception of a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException on the class com.bea.wlai.client.bean.ApplicationViewBeanEOImpl_WLStub.
    However, I am positive this class is in the classpath on the remote computer
    running WLAI in the %INTEGRATION_HOME%\applinteg\lib\WLAIlib.jar file.
    I have been told that RMI calls run off a separate classpath, and that may be
    why this class cannot be found. However, I am not familiar with such situations.
    Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Please respond to this thread
    with any thoughts or if you need any more information. Thanks.
    Dan Kim

    Maybe u must cast appMod to the generated class 'TestbcModuleEJBClient', in the automatically generated client project, instead of 'TestbcModule', that's only an interface. In this way appMod should find the implementation of your methods, and not only the declaration. That is:
    appMod = (TestbcModuleEJBClient) home.create ();

    Friends,
    I looked at the javadocs for axis and came to know the following points
    bq. quote: \\ ----- \\ Gets the axis configuration object by loading the repository. The order of initialization is according the the following precedence: \\ If the parameter axis2.repository.path is present, this folder is used as the location to the repository. \\ Otherwise, if the parameter axis2.repository.url is present, the URL is used as the location to the repository. \\ Otherwise, when both of the above init parameters are not present, the web applications WEB-INF folder is used as the folder for the repository -----
    When I have deployed the application in weblogic 9.2 the directory structure is as follows
    bq. code: \\ ----- \\ {noformat}domain-name \\ |- servers \\ |-Trac \\ |- data \\ |- logs \\ |- security \\ |- stage \\ |- tmp \\ |- .internal \\ |- WLinternal \\ |- WLuser \\ |- Trac \\ |- ptntnw \\ |- public \\ |- war \\ |- axis2-web \\ |- META-INF \\ |- WEB-INF \\ |- classes \\ |- conf \\ |- modules \\ |- services{noformat} \\ -----
    conf folder has axis2.xml and services folder has all the services I had deployed. Now if I mention absolute path in web.xml for axis2.xml.path and absolute path for axis2.repository.path then everything works fine.. I am able to see all the webservices I have deployed when I hit the above url.
    Can anyone tell me how can I specify the relative path? If I dont specify any init param tag in web.xml, still it doesnt work.
    Can anyone please help me ?
    Thanks
    Rohit.

    a class called AgentA, as shown below. Agent A will provide a form to the client when the getForm() method is invoked by the client. the program runs fine on my PC at home which runs on windows xp, but it doenst run on linux.
    /**SERVER CLASS*/
    import java.rmi.server.UnicastRemoteObject;
    import java.rmi.Naming;
    import java.rmi.RMISecurityManager;
    import java.rmi.RemoteException;
    import java.net.MalformedURLException;
    import java.rmi.*;
    public class AgentA extends UnicastRemoteObject implements HasDataInterface {
         /** exports object, to allow it to receive incoming client requests*/
         public AgentA()throws RemoteException{
              super();
              System.out.println("Creating server Object");
    /** returns an input form to the client when invoked */
         public void getForm() throws RemoteException{
              System.out.println(" get form");
    /** instantiates the input form, where the form is a simple
    gui type form
              Form f = new Form();
    public static void main(String args[]){
         try{
              AgentA ag= new AgentA();
    /**this line doesnt work properly i think*/
              Naming.rebind("rmi://138.37.94.101:5577/Server",ag);
                   System.out.println("Server Ready");
              catch(Exception e){
                   System.out.println("error : " + e.getMessage());
              System.out.println("finish");
    The Server program (Agent A) prints 'finish' but never terminates.
    Ive tried to use the folowing replacements:
    Naming.rebind("rmi://:5577/Server",ag);
    Naming.rebind("rmi://ip address:5577/Server",ag);
    i have also tried using the bind() method instead but this doesnt make any differnce.
    Naming.rebind("rmi://ip address:5577/Server",ag);
    i get this error when i compile my client class
    Connection refused to host: 138.37.94.101; nested exception is:
    java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
    I would very much appreciate if some one could put me out of my misery!!!
    cheers

    Sorry for not mentioning it before, but at the moment for simplicity reasons i am running the client and server program on the same PC. So the form at the moment will be displayed to me, as the server and client programs are on the same machine. Obviously i need to change this in the future. I randomly chose port 5577, as this was a port unused on my linux machine which is running over a network. The default port 1099 was already in use, so i chose 5577. I am still baffled why the Naming call isnt working on linux. I thought that the Naming call's format was as follows :
    Naming.rebind("protocol//host:port/objectname", object);
    where objectname is a simple String name to uniquely identify each object in the registry .
    I hope this will help provide enough information for someone to help me in my moment of crisis!

  • Unable to successfuly test webservice through SOAP UI while the FM works

    Hi,
    We have recently upgraded to EHP6. We created a few function modules through which web services were created. Now when we test the FM's they work perfectly fine whereas some of the webservices are not responding correctly when being tested thriough an external tool: SOAP UI.
    This particular issue is just persisting in case of only a few webservices whereas the others are working perfectly fine. After checking all the configuration seetings (though I am sure they are maintained correctly since some of the webservices are working fine) I have tried regenerating a new service and then going about testing the new wsdl file in SOAP UI but the output is same everytime. I also tried deactivating and reactivating the FM and then creating the wsdl out of the service but nothing seems to work.
    How can I test my webservice in such a case and be sure of it to be working correctly?
    Kindly help out with this issue.
    Regards,
    Shivangi

    Hi Shivangi,
    What precisely do you mean by the following?
    some of the webservices are not responding correctly when being tested thriough an external tool: SOAP UI
    Is it like you do not get any response from your web service, or an error response? Or you do receive a response, but it differs from what you get when testing the FM directly in ECC?
    In the first case, make sure you have configured your web services correctly in SOAMANAGER (or WSCONFIG + LPCONFIG in case of lower system versions).
    In case of the latter, make sure you use statements like "IS INITIAL" or "IS SUPPLIED" correctly, because input parameters may look somehow different in ECC when the FM is executed externally.
    You might also want to put an external break point for the user that authorizes your external connections and debug the FM from there to see what's wrong. For this purpose, when displaying your FM, choose: Utilities -> Settings from the top menu, and in the window that appers, go to tab page ABAP Editor, sub-tab page Debugging and type a user for external debugging (it has to be a dialog user), then place an external break point in the code.
    Hope this helps,
    Greg

  • Not able to test webservice through enterprise manager

    Hi All,
    We have deployed few composites. Deployment was successful. but when we try to test the service using "Test" button in the composite. we are getting an error below the WSDL URL in the Test Webservice page.
    Following is the error:
    Either the WSDL URL is invalid or the WSDL file is not valid or incorrect. - oracle.sysman.emas.sdk.wsm.WsmServiceAccessException: Cannot locate service: oracle.wsm.policymanager.IPolicyService
    I'm able to open the WSDL in browser. We dont have any OWSM policlies set for any of the composites.
    When i use the WSDL URL in a partner link, the operation and other properties getting loaded, i/p and o/p elements of the WSDL also getting retrieved.
    SOA version: 11.1.1.6
    This is applicable for all composites we deployed.
    Please help us in resolving this issue.

    In my case issue got resolved after I added java.naming.provider.url
    Steps:
    Log into EM then select the domain in use and use the following the menu path, WebLogic Domain> Web Services > Platform Policy Configuration
    From there, select the Policy Accessor tab., then click Add to add a property.
    In the Add Property window, specify the following values:
    In the Name field, enter this property: java.naming.provider.url
    Value: t3://<hostname1>:<port_number>,<hostname2>:<port_number>

    I found out that the exception is raised since CL_SRT_WSDL_GEN_FACTORY=>GET_WSDL_GENERATOR doesn't return an instance of the class referring to the interface IF_SRT_WSDL_GEN.
    If I test that method in SE24 using the name of the service definition in SE80 for the parameter WSD, the value '1' fpr the parameters TYPE and STYLE, an instance of the class CL_SRT_WSDL11_GEN is rendered.
    Could you give any hints how I could debug that issue to verify the import parameters when the static method CL_SRT_WSDL_GEN_FACTORY=>GET_WSDL_GENERATOR is called in the body of the browser call ?
    Or any other hints?
    Thank you very much and best regards
    Stefan

    The issue was due to missing authorizations of the RFC-user (type 'Communication') calling the webservice. The RFC-user itsself has been assigned before to the webservice in the http-service tree (transaction SICF). RFC-User needs (at least) the role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE.
