Testing OA extension in JDeveloper

Hi,
I have extended a VO and tested in JDev in design time and its working fine.
So, design time its working fine.
This i have done in Tutorial.jpr project.
To run through the 'test_fwktutorial.jsp' I followed the steps as defined in OA Framework developers guide and set the followings,
1> Included in Runner>Java options the following,
-Djbo.project=C:\AD\JDev9i\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\Tutorial
2> Included the my my 'Tutorial.jpx' directory in path>additional classpath field i.e.
C:\AD\JDev9i\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects
But when I run the ''test_fwktutorial.jsp' file, its running into error with following error message.
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Application: FND, Message Name: FND_GENERIC_MESSAGE. Tokens: MESSAGE = javax.naming.NamingException [Root exception is oracle.jbo.InvalidDefNameException: JBO-25004: Definition name C:\AD\JDev9i\jdevhome\jdev\myprojects\Tutorial for type Package is invalid]
Please help me out.

  • How to test Siebel webservice in Jdeveloper that uses Authentication?

    Hi..
I am testing siebel webservice in Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5 by right clicking on WSDL n using "Test webService".But it is giving 500:internal server error..I tried everything..basically i have to pass username password in authentication.I have tried "Authorization-basic" and also tried vis "SOAP Headers > :WS-Security:Header" but of no use.I also tried the above mentioned way.."security-role-assignment" in web.xml and weblogic.xml but that is also not working. The webservice is working fine on SOAPUI but not wroking on Jdeveloper. Is there anything that Iam missing in configuration part...or in HTTP analyzer?? Please help.
    Thanks!

In transaction SICF  you could enter a (system) user for your webservices so that you won't require authentication. (However, you should check if this is a good and valid option in the context of your application.)
In addition, you can provide your SAP credentials (username, password) within Adobe Flex itself. Read more about the "URLRequestHeader" function.

  • Howto write SQL Developer Extensions in JDeveloper?

    Hello,
we want to develop an extension for SQL Developer. We want this extension to appear in the context menu at the table node. We did pretty well developing the necessary Java classes but now we have the problem to integrate our extension to the context menu. So is there any possibility to do this or where we can find some documentation or examples?

Make sure you use the correct matching versions of the Extension JDK, JDeveloper and sql Developer.
See 1. Adding a Context Menu in the 'How To Create an XML User Defined Extension' example

  • Failed to install AIA extension to JDeveloper and open FP demo sourcecode

    Hi,
I successfully installed FP 11.1.1.4 on Oracle linux (I didn't use OER). Then I want to open the source code of AIA FP Demo 11.1.1.4 in JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 and rebuild it.
I used "Help->Check for Updates" to install "AIA Composite Application Framework" and "AIA Service Constructor". After restarting JDeveloper, I can't find these extensions in JDeveloper from "Help->About->Extension". I tried to install these extensions from local file. Still the same result, no error during procedure and nothing happened after restart.
I reinstalled JDeveloper, the same problem. I even installed JDeveloper on another machine running Mac OS, still the same result. BTW, SOA composite extension is successfully installed.
When I open the jws file shipped in FP demo in JDeveloper, it always pop up a error like this".....adf/META--INF/adf-config.xml is invalid". Actually there is not adf-config.xml included in the original source code? JDeveloper automatically created a adf-config.xml which seems not compatible with the source code.
Anyone can hlep me out? I google AIA Demo error , find nothing useful.
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi there,
I have just tried it. First I updated 'AIA Composite Application Framework','AIA Service Constructor' and 'SOA Composite' plugins. After the restart plugins were not installed and I could not create SOA or AIA project.
Then I installed 'SOA Composite' plugin. After restart it was ok. Then 'AIA Service Constructor'. After restart it was OK. Finally I was going to install 'AIA Composite Application Framework' but I noticed version is 2.4 which I guess is not needed in 11g.
Then you should navigate into Tools, Preferences, SOA and add <JDEV_HOME>/jdeveloper/lib/aia.jar to make the functions available to all projects.
When you import jws it will be successfully migrated but you get an error that adf-config.xml is invalid. That file is not in original source codes but it is created during migration process. To fix invalid msg you have add link to metadata store into that file.

    Milan

  • How to add Oracle Enterprise Scheduler Extensions to JDeveloper 11.1.1.4?

    Hi,
Please provide the necessary steps to add Oracle Enterprise Scheduler Extensions to JDeveloper 11.1.1.4. I have searched a lot, but the links point to Jdeveloper version 11.1.1.5.

This extension is not available for the 11gR2 releases.
If you are trying to add extensions for the Fusion Applications customization environment, you must use the JDeveloper version that came from the Fusion Application DVDs. The FA extensions are also on those DVDs
Fusion Applications does not work with the same versions of JDeveloper that you download from the OTN website.

  • Junit test runner error in jDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0

    Hi,
I am having problem with the running of test project in jdeveloper. I created the test project using Application Test Framework from the Model project. Model project has the AM and PVOs used for BI VOs. The test project is created with all the selected view objects (PVOs). The following issues are noticed in the test project
    1) The VO tests and VO JtestCase.xml are created with wrong names. For example the Model project has VO name like PortfolioPVO, but the test VO was created like PortfolioVOTest.java and xml as PortfolioVOTest.xml. I renamed all these test project files accordingly to suit my model project pvo's.

  • Which Companion Version for WebCenter Extensions in JDeveloper 11.1.1.5

My firm is using SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 for a variety of services which requires JDeveloper Studio 11.1.1.5. However, my firm also develops applications using ADF / WebCenter (currently 11.1.1.4, soon to be 11.1.1.6). While trying to experiment with a simple WebCenter application in JDeveloper and run a simple one-page test using the Integrated WebLogic domain within JDeveloper, the script used to "extend" that integrated WebLogic domain fails to execute successfully, stating extension JAR oracle.wc_adrs_template_11.1.1.jar is missing.
That JAR is provided by the WebCenter Suite JDeveloper Extension which is provided as part of the "Fusion Middleware Companion". I went to http://edelivery.oracle.com, drilled into Fusion Middleware 11g for my platform (Linux x86-64) then selected the 11.1.1.5 version of the "Companion". (I also downloaded the 11.1.1.6 version as well, more on that in a second...)
I unzipped the archive of the 11.1.1.5 companion, drilled into the Disk1/SmartUpgrade directory, then unzipped the WLsmartupgrade.zip archive, then copied jdeveloper_smartupgrade.zip to a folder on my Windows Vista machine used to run JDeveloper. I then started JDeveloper, went to Help | Check for Updates... then chose "Install from Local File" as the source and browsed to the location of the jdeveloper_smartupgrade.zip file and selected it.
The following compatibility errors were displayed:
    Extension Required Version Installed
    oracle.toplink min=11.1.1.1.0, max=11.1.1.4.99 11.1.1.5.37.60.13
    oracle.jdeveloper min=11.1.1.1.0, max=11.1.1.4.99 11.1.1.5.37.60.13
Ooooooookay, so how about the 11.1.1.6 "companion"? I unpacked that archive, extracted its version of jdeveloper_smartupgrade.zip to a directory, then attempted to load that patch within JDeveloper 11.1.1.5 and encountered the following compatibility errors:
    Extension Required Version Installed
    oracle.toplink min=11.1.2.0, max=11.1.2.99 11.1.1.5.37.60.13
    oracle.jdeveloper min=11.1.2.0, max=11.1.2.99 11.1.1.5.37.60.13
In short, the "companion" content labeled 11.1.1.5 requires extension versions TOO LOW for the default extensions installed as part of the 11.1.1.5.x build of JDeveloper. The "companion" content labeled 11.1.1.6 requires extension versions TOO HIGH for the default extensions installed as part of the 11.1.1.5.x build of JDeveloper.
Is there some other patch file somewhere that is compatible with the 11.1.1.5.37.60.13 versions of these other extensions? Again, it is NOT clear to me that upgrading JDeveloper from 11.1.1.5 to a newer version will maintain compatibility with the existing SOA Suite infrastructure I also need to interact with.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for your answer.
    My Requirements are:
    1) Develope a stand alone ADF FACES(JSF 2.0) application
    2) Develope a Portal using webcenter- We need to implement portlets by taking some of the functonality that was implemented in section (1) and use the Portlet-JSF bridge to create the portlets.
Basically, we need to support JSF 2.0 standart.
As I understood I must use the JDeveloper 11.1.2 version as it support the JSF 2.0. but what about the Webcenter and the Portlet-JSF bridge to support JSF 2.0 ?
I will be happy to get a clarification for those requirments.
    Thanks a lot !

  • [ANN] Portlet Extensions for JDeveloper 10g are availble

Need to develop portlets - use these extension to build, test, and run JSR 168 compliant portlets inside JDeveloper.
Check them out on the extension exchange-
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/index.html
To get notified of new extensions and other JDeveloper news get the RSS News Feeder extension from the same place.
    Enjoy.

Yes currently the extension is strictly a top-level browsing tool with no mapping metadata drill down/editing capabilities.
Those features are being planned for the next major release of this extension kit, as part of our major effort to rewrite the map definition tool. there is however no ETA yet.

  • How to use mapviewer extension for jdevelop?

I am working on the mapviewer. But my problem is that I can not connect mapviewer, or I can not start mapviewer using the embedded oc4j by jdeveloper. In mapviewer faq I read that:
"How do I view the mapping metadata through JDeveloper's Connections Navigator?
We have developed an Oracle JDeveloper extension that lets you browse the available list of styles, themes and basemaps defined in a datasource through JDeveloper's Connections Navigator. To do this, you will first need to download the mvconnection.jar file from OTN's MapViewer site. This jar contains the code that defines a MapViewer connection type for JDeveloper. To install, simply drop this jar file to the JDeveloper extension directory, normally $JDEV_HOME/jdev/lib/ext. Then restart JDeveloper, and you are all set.
But when I restart jdeveloper, I got the message:
    "H:\Programme\jdev\jdev\lib\ext\mvpalette.jar!\META-INF\jdev-ext.xml

I use Jdeveloper 10g. Have you ever met the same problem?
    Thanks in advance

The Map Viewer extension is still not available for JDeveloper 10g. It works with JDeveloper 9.
The Mapping group is currently working on an upgrade.

    Hi,
are you running an application you migrated from 10.1.3 to 11, or is it one that you created in JDeveloper 11. If its a migration case, can you try and re-create the part of the module in JDeveloper 11 to see if this reproduces. To me this sounds like a migration issue. Once you verified this, can you post the reply on JDeveloper and OC4J 11g Technology Preview
which is the JDeveloper 11 forum?

    any help appreciable

This is an open source extension, the homepage for the project is here -> http://jdev-vss-ext.sourceforge.net/
I believe you need to configure access to sourcesafe through preferences before activating the extension,

  • How to install ADF Mobile extension to JDeveloper on OSX 10.8.2

Using the info from the following discussion thread it was pretty straightforward to install jdeveloper to OSX 10.8.2.
Re: Jdeveloper install on os x lion (10.7.5)
as well as the blog posts
    http://adf4beginners.blogspot.be/2012/10/installing-jdeveloper-on-mac-osx-108.html
    https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/installing_jdeveloper_on_mac_os
Now the issue is that when I try to install the ADF Mobile extension I run into problems:
I tried installing both directly from the update centres as well as from local file, but the
only extension available after restart is the "ADF Mobile Help" (oracle.adf.mobile.doc).
I can also see from the startup console a lot of warning messages of type as indicated below.

    thanks,
you gave me the courage to move along, and I stumbled across some info
(should have given a link here, but not able to find the most correct one right now)
As a matter of fact it seems like several postings in blogs and discussion forums touch this area.
Just wonder if we could smooth this process a bit.
issuing this command sequence, did the trick:
    sudo mkdir -p /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/jre/lib
    cd /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/jre/lib
    sudo ln -s /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/classes/classes.jar rt.jar
Then for jdk location I selected
    /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Contents/Home

  • Applying standalone OPatch to WebCenter extensions in JDeveloper

Has anyone here succesfully applied any patches for the 11g JDeveloper WebCenter extensions using OPatch on Windows?
Whenever I try this my OPatch seems succesful, I can see the patches .class or .js files (whatever files are patched) in the .jar or .war archives in
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\webcenter\modules\oracle.webcenter.framework_11.1.1
Yet, when I run my Integrated WebLogic Server the changed classes are not found and I run into NoClassDefFoundErrors or other failures.
However if I put the files from the patch in the correct archives myself everything works fine. Any ideas?

No. I have tried all the possibilities, but it is still not working.
I am the only user for my PC and, i have even tried runnig the server in admin mode as you suggested. rightclick on startWebLogic.cmd and run as administrator
If the procedure is wrong, please suggest another way.
I have another problem in addition to this. The model project is not being saved to the harddrive. If i create stuff in the model project it only lasts till i close the JDev, once i open it again, everything is lost.
