Testing of transaction BD64?
Hi
Is there any place in SAP , where we can test our newly created Distribution Model (BD64) is working correctly or not?
Thank you
hi,
Here is the procedure for creation of ports and partner profiles.
Creation of port:
In WE21 tcode , place cursor on Transaction RFC and press create button. Popup opens. Select own port and give some name there. In right hand side pane, Give RFC destination.
( RFC Destination should be created in SM59 tcode. RFC Destination name is case sensitive.) and press SAVE.
Creation of partner profile:
I asked taken a scenario where we are sending data from client 800 to client 810.
Partner profiles have to be defined in WE20 transaction.
On left pane, Place the cursor on Partner Type LS and click on create button.
On the right pane, Give the partner no. (say BANG810) Partn type will be LS.
In Post processing: permitted agent.,
Typ US ( as you are transfering from one client to other client , giving US is ok)
Agent SAPUSER (its login user id)
Lang EN
Press Enter and Save.
Then, under the outbound parameters table control, you will find the + button enabled.
click on it and specify the message type, receiving port and idoc type and again save.
While creating partner profile in 810 client, go to WE20 , follow the same procedure as done in 800 client. But here as it is inbound system, we have to populate Inbound parameters. So, click on + button under inbound parameters. Give message type as MATMAS if you are transfering materials and give process code as MATM and press SAVE.

Sailaja.

Possible to test Dev Transaction with Production data in eCatt?
Hi,
I am new to eCatt but got the impression that it was possible to test your transactions in dev with the data in production, presumably through an RFC connection.
Is this at all possible?
Thanks,
WillHi Will,
with RFC your are right, but your direction of thinking is wrong.
eCATT lets you develop testscripts in one (central test) system and execute them in and against other systems.
Means, you can write your scripts in a Solution Manager and then execute it via RFC connections against ERP-development
or ERP test system with their specific ERP data.
Please take a look into the eCATT [Online Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/d0/e3933f09a5fb47e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]
Hope that helps to understand better distributed testing.
Best regards,

Transaction BD64 model distribution
Hello
I've made a refresh of the QA environment, and now I have to distribute a model in transaction BD64. This distribution is necessary because the Solution Manager environment controls the users in DEV and QA environment and because the refreh we need to distribute again this model through BD64.
Does anyone knows how can I distribute this model by Solman and transaction BD64?
RegardsHi Sridhar
To select specific employees to CRM during initial load, you must fill the Object Parameter in PFAL transaction with only the specific Employee IDs that you need.
In BD64, you can especify inside de Distribution Model, some objects to filter the data you will send periodically, but this filters are not specific fields, but infotypes, Subtype, Object. Also you can add objects to filter by others fields with a BADI.
I recommend you, to read the Application help in PFAL transaction.

Error RZ783 when "Test" in Transaction SMLG
Hello together,
I have installated the "SAP Web Application Server 6.20 Test Suite" sucessfully.
By click on Button "Test" in Transaction SMLG (Tabstrip "Attributes") i get an Error:
Internal error (SIMULATION:INACTIVE_SERVER)
Message no. RZ783
Logon Group, Instance and IP-Adress are correctly filled. (I hope so)
Who knows the reason for this error ?
Best regards,
Erich Spannbauer.I am facing the same type of problem. I refered the notes you said. At my side,
There is no entry in cyclical system programs.
In note is says-->
On every application server some ABAP/4 background programs are run at an interval of 5 minutes (rdisp/autoabaptime =300).
Where should I change this entry?
In my system,
There is no entry like
Program name | | Task
RSRZLST0 30s 120s Operation mode control
RSRZLLG0 10s 120s Login load distribution
RSALSUP1 15s 120s Operating system alerts
RSALSUP2 15s 120s Buffer alerts
RSALSUP3 15s 120s Spool alerts
RSALSUP5 30s 240s Database alerts (only on central appl.server)
Do I need to add them manually or it is auto generated?
The basic problem I faced and need to go in Basis details is now.
In SMLG trasaction, When I double click on Logon group and go to attributes and test,
It gives Internal error: simulation:Inactive server.
How to activate server ? I've no idea about Basis side. Please help

ALE filters with transactions BD64 and BD21
I've created a filter for MATMAS IDOCs in my Distribution Model with BD64.
I expected it to create an IDOC when a material in a specific plant is changed (change pointers are active).
However, when I run transaction BD21 (RBDMIDOC) it still send ALL materials that have changed.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong.After reading your message, I ran BD11.
Is that the transaction I should run to distribute the IDOCs.
I'm new to working with these transactions and I haven't done this before.
The system generated some MATFET idocs. But they have a failure status.
What I really wanted to do was prevent the generation of the MATMAS idoc in the first place.
Do I have to write a user exit for that? -
Transaction to find ecatt test script
transaction to find ecatt test script and the table which stores ecatt test script
transaction to find function group and the table which stores function group

where i should be able to change the devlopment classHi Avinash,
For ecatts check development class/package SECATT_DDIC and transaction SECATT.
For general text transaction is SO10 and tables are STXH and STXL.
For Object Naviagtor SE80 you can change development class.
For function groups check ENLFDIR table.
All transaction codes are stored in TSTC and TSTCT tables
Thanks

Dear Folks!
Is there a way to do something like a call transaction in test mode?
What I need is to check the data of the file and return a log of the errors that this file would give if executed in call transaction, before executing it for real in the production environment.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Kind Regards,
Gilberto LiHello Gilberto
Yes, it <i>is possible</i> to run transaction in test mode using <b>eCATT</b>.
Here is the procedure for transaction ME21N (please note that this transaction has a "CHECK" button to validate the input data):
- First I created an eCATT testscript and chose pattern TCD (Record) with transaction ME21N.
- Within the recorded transaction I only entered the vendor and then pushed the CHECK button (-> popup appears with all messages)
- Next I cancelled the transaction without saving the purchase order and saved the recording within the testscript
- Then I surrounded the TCD recording with a MESSAGE...ENDMESSAGE block:
MESSAGE ( MSG_1 ).
TCD ( ME21N , ME21N_1 ).
ENDMESSAGE ( E_MSG_1 ).
Now if you run the testscript you will see all the messages collected thus far within the recorded transaction in the<b> eCATT log</b>.
I admit that this approach will not work for all transactions. However, it may be useful for testing many transactions.

System Copy : Transactions sm59, we20, we21, bd64
Hi forum,
if you are to make a system copy, one system - as a rule QA - is overwritten by a production system. You can save
the RFC connections by consistently exporting (by use of brspace f.ex.) all table starting with rfc* and after the copy
you can reimport it. Same as for transactions we20 and we21. The tables in question are mentioned in note 181172.
But what can you do to export and later reimport the contents of transaction bd64 ???
Kind regards
OEggert2706Hello,
Did you try the following option?
BD64--> Edit --> Model View --> Transport
Partner profiles are stored in the following tables. I think you can add these tables in a transport request, release it before refresh and import the same after refresh.
EDPP1: General partner profile
EDP12: Partner profile outbound, additional data NAST
EDP13: Partner profile outbound
EDP21: Partner profile inbound
EDIPHONE: Connection to SAP telephony (optional)
Thanks,
Siva Kumar

How to transaction in the message driven bean?
hello
i write a message driven bean,that monitor the weblogic message queue,when a "Order"
object is witten to the queue,the mdb get it and write it to a entity bean "Orderinfo".all
of above logic is within the "onMessage" method of the mdb.
i want to encapsulate the flow in a transaction,see my code snippet of the onMessage
method:
ObjectMessage objMsg = (ObjectMessage) msg;
OrderVO orderVO = (OrderVO) objMsg.getObject();
System.out.println(orderVO.booklist);
OrderinfoHome orderinfoHome = (OrderinfoHome) ctx.lookup(
"java:/comp/env/orderinfo");
Orderinfo orderinfo = orderinfoHome.create(orderVO.orderID);
orderinfo.setAddress(orderVO.address);
orderinfo.setCustname(orderVO.custName);
orderinfo.setEmail(orderVO.email);
orderinfo.setBooklist(orderVO.booklist);
orderinfo.setPrice(new BigDecimal(orderVO.price));
and deploy descriptor snippet(ejb-jar.xml):
<assembly-descriptor>
<container-transaction>
<method>
<ejb-name>orderMDB</ejb-name>
<method-name>*</method-name>
</method>
<trans-attribute>Required</trans-attribute>
</container-transaction>
</assembly-descriptor>
i think during this transaction,there are two action:geting the object from the
queue and saving it to entity bean.in order to test the transaction,i modify the
jndi name of entity bean in the code to a WRONG one.redeploy my program,and send
a message to the queue,the mdb is activated,then the exception is thrown because
of the wrong jndi name.after that,i check the message queue,find that it is empty.why?i
think if the second action of the transaction is fail,the transaction should roll
back,the message should be send BACK to the queue.
i also ty to use the "javax.transaction.UserTransaction" in the onMessage method,but
the follwing exception is thrown:
javax.transaction.NotSupportedException: Another transaction is associated with
this thread.................................
who can help me,if any wrong with me,and how to use the transaction with the message
driven bean?
thank you.
The transaction should rollback if the MDB throws an
exception. Try changing your MDB code to
call "setRollbackOnly()" on the EJB
context (instead of throwing an exception) to see
if that works. If calling "setRollbackOnly()" fixes
the problem - then please contact customer support
and report a bug.

E-recruitment 600 URL/BSP Initial set up - Standalone Test system(ECC 6.0)
Dearest experts
At the very cusp of setting e-recruitment up. I have followed SAP note 890357 min configuration.....
The BSP for e-recruit upon test via Transaction SICF do not work, apart from the odd one EG. hrrcf_emp_page
URL's error when created via SE38 RCF_GENERATE_URL. I have set roles, users etc. I know some services require the assignment of a 'service user' eg registration (does anyone know all of them??).
Technical settings>user interfaces>settings for user interfaces with BSP>Start pages - there is no configuration here is this why the start pages are not firing up??
Can anyone let me know what config I have missed and is incomplete?? Where to check in the IMG??
Thanking you in anticipation
Kindest regards
RHi Deepak
thanks for your response.
I had already created a service user (which I had specified in the hrrcf* 1. to 8.)
I hadn't created a candidate and duly did so at your suggestion.
Error message as follows:
The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_ABSTRACT_CONTROLLER==CM001 line 56

I have created one service user and applied to each of these bsp's.....is this correct??
I also created my own role (copied SAP_RCF_UNREGISTERED_CANDIDATE)
I am at a loss..............
As I also have the following error message:

Pr00 missing in webui while creating the transaction in ui
Hi
we have the scenario in crm like opportunity management , quotation analysis where in pr00 condition we have to input .
pr00 condition is mandatory in all the transactions in crm . for this reason pr00 we maintained as mandatory in the pricing procedure and we replicated all the pricing procedures in to crm . and when we tested a transaction in SAP GUI system is giving message as "PR00 is mandatory " and we are going in to item conditions tab and we are entering the pr00 manually .
But the same when we are trying to configure on webui , we added all the fields of gui in to webui by searching the components . and when we run the transaction in webui , system is giving the message "pr00 is mandatory"and when we go into pricing details tab , there is no pr00 in the price type drill down . i cannot input manually the proo in webui , i have to select it form drop down list only . but which is not appearing .
please suggestissue solved

Is my test suite configured properly?
I am building db-4.6.19 from source on Novell SuSE Linux 9.2 on ia64 (Intel Itanium2) hardware, then running the test suite with tclsh 8.4. Here’s my configuration line:
cd build_unix
../dist/configure prefix=/home/mark/WORKAREAS/webplatform/build/dev/20070924 with-test --with-tcl=/usr/lib
I run make and that goes well, then I run the standard test in tclsh via:
echo 'info tclversion; source ../test/test.tcl; run_std; exit' | tclsh; tail ALL.OUT
Most of the tests pass, but the tail of ALL.OUT is at db-4.6.19/build_unix/ALL.OUT (below) produces many error messages for a few tests. They seem to be variations on the same issue, and I’m not sure how to fix it at this point – can someone point me to help? It appears that a command isn't parsing properly.
I'm not sure how to troubleshoot further, it seems to be a syntax error.
Thanks!

...and so on to the end. This seems to be the same issue I'd originally reported in this thread. Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot this? I'm not a tcl expert, unfortunately.
Thanks again for your help or pointers!

How to pass a table of data to transaction.
Hi,
I need to pass several rows of data to an internal table of a bapi from a page .
I know how to create a table in xMII transaction within itself.
But I couldn't figure how to pass several rows from a HTML page to an input parameter of a Xacute query.
Here is the scenario.
My HTML page is having a table of 3 rows and 12 columns.
I need to pass this data to an input parameter of a Xacute query.
Can some one help me in this regard.
Thanks,
Srinivas.Rick,
Thank you very much Rick. Your work around is working fine.
I am trying to enhace it a little bit this concept as below.
I created a transaction which takes string input through transaction parameters and impliments your logic of saving to a local text file and loads as XML data through XML loader and finally assigning to OUTPUT parameter of xml type.
Through this I can call this transaction where ever I need to convert string to XML.
But the problen I am facing here is whenI test this transaction through Xacute Query with some well formed XML data as input I am getting nothing in the test page.
Here are the steps I followed in the transaction:
1. Save the input text to a local file.
2. Load the same file using XML Loader.
3. Assign the xmlLoader.xmlContent -> Transaction.OUTPUT ( Assign XML) through assignment block.
4. Delete the temporary file.
Can you help in this regard.
Thanks,
Srinivas.
Thanks, -
[Solved] if(Transaction specified for a non-transactional database) then
I am getting started with BDBXML 2.4.14 transactions and XQuery update functionality and I am having some difficulty with 'node insert ...' and transactions failing with 'Transaction specified for a non-transactional database'
Thanks for helping out.
Setup:
I have coded up a singleton manager for the XmlManger with a ThreadLocal holding the transaction and a query method to execute XQueries. The setup goes like this:
environmentConfig = new EnvironmentConfig();
environmentConfig.setRunRecovery(true); environmentConfig.setTransactional(true); environmentConfig.setAllowCreate(true); environmentConfig.setRunRecovery(true); environmentConfig.setInitializeCache(true); environmentConfig.setTxnMaxActive(0); environmentConfig.setInitializeLocking(true); environmentConfig.setInitializeLogging(true); environmentConfig.setErrorStream(System.err);
environmentConfig.setLockDetectMode(LockDetectMode.MINWRITE); environmentConfig.setJoinEnvironment(true); environmentConfig.setThreaded(true);
xmlManagerConfig = new XmlManagerConfig(); xmlManagerConfig.setAdoptEnvironment(true); xmlManagerConfig.setAllowAutoOpen(true); xmlManagerConfig.setAllowExternalAccess(true);
xmlContainerConfig = new XmlContainerConfig(); xmlContainerConfig.setAllowValidation(false); xmlContainerConfig.setIndexNodes(true); xmlContainerConfig.setNodeContainer(true);
// initialize
instance.xmlManager = new XmlManager(instance.getEnvironment(), instance.getXmlManagerConfig());
instance.xmlContainer = instance.xmlManager.openContainer( containerName, instance.getXmlContainerConfig());
private ThreadLocal<XmlTransaction> transaction = new ThreadLocal<XmlTransaction>();
public XmlTransaction getTransaction() throws Exception {
if (transaction.get() == null) {
XmlTransaction t = xmlManager.createTransaction();
log.info("Transaction created, id: " + t.getTransaction().getId());
transaction.set(t);
} else if (log.isDebugEnabled()) {
log.debug("Reusing transaction, id: "
+ transaction.get().getTransaction().getId());
return transaction.get();
private XmlQueryContext createQueryContext(String docName) throws Exception {
XmlQueryContext context = xmlManager.createQueryContext(
XmlQueryContext.LiveValues, XmlQueryContext.Lazy);
List<NamespacePrefix> namespacePrefixs = documentPrefixes.get(docName);
// declare ddi namespaces
for (NamespacePrefix namespacePrefix : namespacePrefixs) {
context.setNamespace(namespacePrefix.getPrefix(), namespacePrefix
.getNamespace());
return context;
public XmlResults xQuery(String query) throws Exception {
XmlQueryExpression xmlQueryExpression = null;
XmlQueryContext xmlQueryContext = getQueryContext(docName);
try {
xmlQueryExpression = xmlManager.prepare(getTransaction(), query,
xmlQueryContext);
log.info(query.toString());
} catch (Exception e) {
if (xmlQueryContext != null) {
xmlQueryContext.delete();
throw new DDIFtpException("Error prepare query: " + query, e);
XmlResults rs = null;
try {
rs = xmlQueryExpression.execute(getTransaction(), xmlQueryContext);
// catch deadlock and implement retry
catch (Exception e) {
throw new DDIFtpException("Error on query execute of: " + query, e);
} finally {
if (xmlQueryContext != null) {
xmlQueryContext.delete();
xmlQueryExpression.delete();
return rs;
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<Test version="0.1">
<Project id="test-project" agency="dda">
<File id="large-doc.xml" type="ddi"/>
<File id="complex-doc.xml" type="ddi"/>
</Project>
<Project id="2nd-project" agency="test.org"/>
</Test>
Problem:
All the queries are run through the xQuery method and I do delete the XmlResults afterwards. How do I get around the 'Transaction specified for a non-transactional database' what is the transactions doing? How do I get state information out of a transaction? What am I doing wrong here?
1 First I insert a node:
Transaction created, id: -2147483647
Adding document: large-doc.xml to xml container
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
Working doc: ddieditor.xml
Root element: Test
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
insert nodes <Project id="JUnitTest" agency="test.org"></Project> into doc("dbxml:/ddieditor.dbxml/ddieditor.xml")/Test
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
2 Then do a query:
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
doc("dbxml:/ddieditor.dbxml/ddieditor.xml")/Test/Project/@id
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
3 The same query again:
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
doc("dbxml:/ddieditor.dbxml/ddieditor.xml")/Test/Project/@id
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
4 Delete a node:
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
delete node for $x in doc("dbxml:/ddieditor.dbxml/ddieditor.xml")/Test/Project where $x/@id = '2nd-project' return $x
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
5 Then an error on query:
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647
doc("dbxml:/ddieditor.dbxml/ddieditor.xml")/Test/Project/@id
Reusing transaction, id: -2147483647

jannikjOk got it solved by increasing the locks lockers and mutex's I allso increased the the log buffer size:
environmentConfig = new EnvironmentConfig();
// general environment
environmentConfig.setAllowCreate(true);
environmentConfig.setRunRecovery(true); // light recovery on startup
//environmentConfig.setRunFatalRecovery(true); // heavy recovery on startup
environmentConfig.setJoinEnvironment(true); // reuse of environment: ok
environmentConfig.setThreaded(true);
// log subsystem
environmentConfig.setInitializeLogging(true);
environmentConfig.setLogAutoRemove(true);
environmentConfig.setLogBufferSize(128 * 1024); // default 32KB
environmentConfig.setInitializeCache(true); // shared memory region
environmentConfig.setCacheSize(2500 * 1024 * 1024); // 250MB cache
// transaction
environmentConfig.setTransactional(true);
environmentConfig.setTxnMaxActive(0); // live forever, no timeout
// locking subsystem
environmentConfig.setInitializeLocking(true);
environmentConfig.setMutexIncrement(22);
environmentConfig.setMaxMutexes(200000);
environmentConfig.setMaxLockers(200000);
environmentConfig.setMaxLockObjects(200000); // default 1000
environmentConfig.setMaxLocks(200000);
// deadlock detection
environmentConfig.setLockDetectMode(LockDetectMode.MINWRITE);
In the docs by Oracle it is limited information given regarding the impact of these settings and their options. Can you guys point in a direction where I can find some written answers or it hands on?
