Text being chopped off in i.e. 6/7

Hi
my top navigation text is being affected strangely in older versions of i.e.

I have removed the line height parrameter, and have looked at other known bugs but I can't see what is wrong?

Instead of displaying the list items as block, try inline instead. You might also move the #navigation up in the CSS so it's before the rest of the rules in that div.

Adobe 9 Viewing Problem - Lines being chopped off

Our older documents can not be read in Adobe 9 and it appears as if each row is being chopped off horizontally. Sometimes there will be an error message, "Cannot extract the embedded font 'F0'".
All searches on this shows that this was a bug when Adobe 8 was first released and a patch was produced to fix it.
Anyone know of a solution? It's really affecting us.

I'm having the same problem and it's disconcerting. I'm running Windows XP SP3 and PDFs from certain sources (all external) will not render properly; the bottom half of each line is missing. I've opened these files with Preview (Mac) and Foxit (Windows) and they render fine, so it's not the PDF file.
I checked the file properties on the files that don't work and they have the same basic properties as files that do work (PDF version 1.3). I tried changing numerous settings in the Preferences of Reader with no luck.
I finally had to uninstall 9 and install 8.1.3 to get around this issue.
Adobe needs to address this problem.

Large Text Being Chopped / Truncated

Hi,
I have a marque displaying some text, but the Text is being chopped at the Top. I have tried increasing the height but no difference. This also happens on some of my Page Titles,and I don't know how to correct it.
The Code is as follows (In the Page Region Header)

This code is invalid. The html and body elements can only occur once in a document and are already defined in the page template. The marquee and font elements are obsolete and must not be used by authors.
If you must include such an intrusive UI feature in your page, use a jQuery plug-in to implement it.

Bug with part of text getting chopped off?

I've been getting this on and off... the last letter of some text gets chopped vertically.
Take a look at the last letter of "PORTFOLIO" and "ABOUTUS" here.

Tried them as readability and animation... they are actually worse as readability.
The strange thing is, each letter is an MC, so the two S's in ServiceS are actually the same MC as the S in aboutuS, yet its only the latter mentioned that is bugged.

Header and Footer Items in Adobe Muse? Also Menu text being cut off half way.

How can I make the header and footer items load faster in Adobe Muse? I am hosting with Business Catalyst. Everything else loads almost immediatly on my web page, but my Header and Footer graphic- wood grain picture- take almost 10 seconds to load, and almost a minute to load on mobile devices.
As well, my menu's are not loading correctly on other peoples devices. On my lap top everything looks fine, but on other peoples devices the text in my menus is only loading half way? -only shows half the text.

Hello,
It seems to be an issue with the Font that you have used.
You have used Bubble-one font and if you check this font in Google Chrome it is cut off and if you check in Firefox, it comes up fine.
Please have a look at this link in Google Chrome and Firefox and you will see the difference : http://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Bubbler+One
I would suggest you to use some other font in order to fix it.

Text being cut off on screen

Hi Everyone,
I have been having the weirdest problem...not all, but many of my text boxes are cropping the text...and if I continue typing to do a second line, it squishes the text together...almost like a leading problem for those of you familiar with typography...enlarging/shrinking the text does not help, does anyone know how to fix this? some examples are below, let me know, thanks

yeah I did a font evaluation and found problem fonts but font book could not get rid of them when I went to remove the problem fonts...so I removed all the system fonts (which were replaced) and them I removed all the regular fonts and put them into fontagent pro...thanks ago

SSRS web based report viewer control rendering issues - text getting clipped chopped off

I am using web based SSRS report viewer control to display SSRS reports in browsers like Chrome, FF, IE, Safari etc. My issue is some text is getting chopped off (clipped) in all cells of some reports. I investigated on my end by analyzing generated HTML
and I could see a problem in the HTML that report viewer control is generating. But I am afraid to apply any HTML or Javascript hacks at the moment considering we have hundreds of reports.
You can see in above image how text got chopped off. The problem in HTML (given below) is the text has been wrapped in a div tag with a fixed height. If I remove the height and also padding on parent TD, the text appears properly.

According to your description, when you display the report with Report Viewer control, the data within the text is cutoff.
Based on my research, the issue could cause by that Arial Unicode MS font hasn’t been installed on the server where Reporting Services run. Besides, when we use ReportViewer control to render report, we’d better set
AsyncRendering="true" in the Report Viewer control. Also please run the IE with compatibility mode. For more information, please refer to similar threads below:

Officejet 6500 - text chopped off

I am using my Officejet 6500 E710n on a network. Usually it prints fine, but sometimes in Word or Excel, text is chopped off or landscape is not recognized.

Text wrap issue:ShowDetaillItem chop-off in the PanelAccordion.

Issue: Text wrap issue in ShowDetailItem header. Tittle of the S+howDetaillItem+ chop-off does not display completely in the PanelAccordion.
I have a few texts that does not wrap in ShowDetailItem Header used for the panel accordion. I could not fix it after trying a few options like changing the css skin, and in the design property inspector.
Please suggest a way to fix this.
Oracle Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5 is the version.

I want the text to wrap and display in the second line as it has more no. of letters compared to the other texts available.

VB 2008 and CR 2008 (chopped off vertical text)

I have an annoying error that does not make any sense to me. My development environment consists of Visual Basic 2008 Professional as well as Crystal Reports 2008. I was first using the Crystal Reports 2008 Basic that came packaged with Visual Basic, but I found myself needing more control over my reports.
In my application I also use the Visual Basic 2008 PrintPreview and PrintDocument classes to generate custom printing code.
All my reports in my project are embedded. They all work fine when previewed/printed and there are no problems whatsoever. The only problem is if I call my custom printing code that uses the Visual Basic 2008 PrintPreview and PrintDocument classes.
If I call my custom code, any report I try to preview/print through the Crystal Report Viewer has all the vertical lines chopped off. I tried increasing the text size of my fields, made sure CanGrow was selected, and made sure the Page Setup in my report was using the "No Printer" option.

Is there anything I should be looking at in the PrintOptions object in Crystal Reports?

Which printer are you using?
Is the printer local or a network printer?
Is your app a Windows or WEB application?
Do you have any third party Custom frame controls installed that can modify the windows frame size and color etc. installed?
Have you tried selecting different printers? You can install any Printer for testing, set the output or Port to a file or LPT1 and then pause the printer. You can then delete the print jobs.
Try setting the report to your default printer and adjust the margins so there is plenty of space around the margins. By default if no printer is defined we use MS's Generic Print driver, I have heard there are problem with it too.

Why are pop-up windows too small, text is being cut off. Problem is occurring with webkinz

When I go to webkinz, the pop-up windows are too small to display all the information in the box. Text is being cut off. It works fine with Explorer. This has not always been a problem-- but is giving problems in the lat month. It occurs when you sign in, not noticeable on opening home page.

Bug: encodeURIComponent() in bookmarklet chops off text

Create a bookmarklet like this:
javascript:d=window.encodeURIComponent(getSelection());alert(d);
Select several paragraphs of text and run. You will see that the encoded text is incomplete. It truncates (chops off) at 200 characters or so. The same bookmarklet runs fine in Opera. After several tests, the problem doesn't seem to be with getSelection() which works fine. So it must be in encodeURIComponent().
There is no documented length restriction on encodeURIComponent, and the URL bar allows URLs that are tens of thousands of characters long so there should be no restriction on encodeURIComponent length.

IBooks Author in-line tables are being cut off

iBooks Author in-line tables are being cut off at the bottom of a column, instead of flowing to the next column, or moving the entire table.
The entire point of marking a table as in-line, is to get it to move as text is inteserted before it. But when that happens, nothing makes sure the table remains visible. When the top of the table gets pushed to a new column, it reappears intact, but when half the table won't fit, it just disappears below the bottom margin.
How can I prevent that?

Actually I just did. I gave up on this long ago, but with your reply I found a way to make it work. It seems strange, but it works half way.
First draw a text box, then inside of the text box, put your table. Make the text box In-line. If you add rows to your table, you need to make the text box bigger yourself, as it won't grow automatically. When you type in front of the text box, when it won't fit on the column or page, the entire box is moved to the next column or page. That is the half that works.
The half that doesn't work, is that when part of the table won't fit, it would have been nice if the non-fitting portion was moved to the next column or page, with a new header row. Maybe with time, Apple will fix that.
But at least it won't cut off half the table this way.

Mavericks Mail Message List Font Chopped Off

Has anyone seen this?
After upgrading to Mavericks my friend now sees his Mail Message List rather limited. My question concerns the "From" text line and the "Subject" text line that appears chopped off in the screenshot shown above (I've blurred a portion of the addresses, and those messages really have "no content").
Any idea as to what would be causing this? The text font appears oversized and not in alignment with the date but I don't know how to fix it.

Problem solved.
TinkerTool was installed and was configured with large text fonts. Changed font size back down to size 12 and everything now looks normal.
