Text Ghosting in IE

I'm having an issue with IE, where it doesn't seem that text
from the previous page is clearing when a new page is loaded in a
frame. Additionally, if a page is brought up that has enough
content to warrant scrolling, when the user scrolls, all of the
text "ghosts" upward, leaving a terrible mess of where each
character was at the last scroll position. To see for yourself, go

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

On some pages (I'd guess the ones with problems but I haven't
looked at them
all - frames are a swine to examine) you have duplicates..
For instance, cresearch -

background-attachment: fixed;
.style2 {

color: #333333;
font-size: 16px;
.style4 {
font-size: 16px;
color: #333333;
you have it further down too...
<link href="../css/main.css" rel="stylesheet"

color: #333333;
font-size: 16px;
.style4 {

-->
</style>
Try sorting that out, it should help.

  • Ghost in GIF animation

    I am getting a text ghost in my GIF animation. It is a line of text bleeding over into the next frame. It is only happening when the GIF is played in Internet Explorer. Any ideas why this might happen?

  • Why are some sort order texts goasted rather then solid black?

    To all and anyone
    The subject says it all...
    Why are some sort order texts ghosted rather then solid black?
    Thanks!
    Fred

    The ghosted/grayed values correspond with auto sorting. Auto sorting drops the leading articles, a/an/the, and variations in other languages, so that for example, The Beatles sorts as Beatles under B unless you explicitly override the auto sort by putting The Beatles in the sort value so that it sorts under T.

  • IPhone 6, ghost touching screen...

    Brand new iPhone 6, 64gb, no case, received 24 hours ago, one charge cycle of use, everything works fine with the phone, except it is randomly ghost touching left side of screen. Phone has been restarted several times, updated the as shipped iOs 8.0 to iOs 8.1.1 at lunch, no change, ghost touching still happening.
    Turned it on and upon initial configuration noticed ghost touching of left side of screen, phone opened up an app and was operating it as if being touched, mostly left side of screen inputs, (my hands no where near the screen) typing a text ghost touching happened again, left screen ghost touches causing all sorts of mayhem. On a web page looking at an item I recently purchased, ghost touching selected the item, and shopping cart, (thank goodness to actually place and order requires more deliberate action). Updating the apps from the app store, non stop ghost touching, launching the apps trying update. Withe he phone sitting on the desk no objects near it even  ghost swiped along with more ghost touches that took it out of "updates" and launched a video of a game in "Featured Apps" Once the updates were down, the ghost touching subsided to the more sporadic random touching. During the app updates was the only real noticeable pattern and it was quite literally almost non stop entire time.
    Anyone else experience this with their iPhone 6,  4.7"?

    I experienced Ghost Touches for the first time today on my iphone 6 and since it never ever happened before, and I'd never heard of this phenomenon before, I immediately assumed a hack was taking place before my very eyes.
    I powered off and for some not thought-out reason, I also unplugged my iphone's charging cord.  When I started the iphone up again and tryed text messaging again I had a perfectly normal keyboard - except my iphone's battery was near depletion (11%).  Thinking my keyboard fix was solved by turning off and turning on my iphone, I again plugged my iphone into the same charging device and WHAM; ghost touching started happening over and over again.
    This time, I unplugged my charging cord first and moved to the another charging cord and plugged in.  With a new charging hub I had perfect text and no ghost keyboard stroking.  I'm confident the black device labeled "Designed in China, Model No. A1265" was the culprit causing my ghost touches. I made no screen adjustments except what I've described - I hope this helps.

  • Text input ghost image

    I created several text input fields in a presentation.
    A ghost image of the shortcut character displays when a user
    highlights the text field.
    Any insight??

    I'm just taking a shot at this because there's not much to go
    on.
    I am aware of a similar complaint regarding invisible buttons
    with a shortcut key assigned to them. When an invisible button is
    triggered via a keyboard shortcut, that invisible button ends up
    getting a yellow rectangle on it -- something to do with
    Captivate's "focus manager," or some such.
    Could it be that you have a single slide with multiple text
    input fields on that slide?
    If so, I can imagine a variety of problems (including the
    yellow box or "ghost characters") being exhibited.
    The most effective way to build interactions in Captivate is
    to use only one interaction per slide. If you have one screenshot
    on which you need to simulate the entry of text in multiple fields,
    you'll be better off using a separate slide for each field:
    1) On slide "a", have the student enter the text in field 1.
    2) On slide "b", display the correct answer in field 1, and
    have them enter text in field 2.
    3) On slide "c", display the correct answers in fields 1 and
    2, and have them enter text in field 3.
    Repeat this "build up" of entries until they've made all the
    necessary entries.
    I suspect if you build your interaction in this manner, the
    "ghost" issue you're seeing won't show up at all. If this doesn't
    work for you, maybe you can describe your situation better or
    provide an online sample we can look at.

  • Ghost Text while creating a PDF template?

    I've been trying to figure out how to create a ghost text in the fields where people need to fill in information.  The Ghost text is an example of what employees would need to input.  How do I do that?  Is it even possible?

    I am creating the PDF fillable template in Formscentral.  I hope someone can help me.  Thank you!

  • Preventing Snap-Back with Ghost Text

        I have created an Adobe Livecycle ES4 form with expandable textfields. Almost all works fine, except for 1 problem. When the user has a textfield filled with pages of content (words) that run a number of pages (e.g. 4 pages) the form will snap-back to page 1. When the user clicks into the textfield (e.g. page 3) to edit a word or sentence on page 3, the document will send them back to the original page that the textfield started on (e.g. page 1). This snap-back could be any number of pages previous to their location, but is based on the textfields starting location. The user must then scroll down after the snap-back to the location they wanted to edit. (see url for demonstration of the problem)
    https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/a3d86afb-13cb-4891-81d4-bf9671f9ebe7
    The textfield with the snap-back problem uses the "enter" "exit" and "form-ready" events for ghost text. After some work I have realized the "enter" event is what is causing the snap-back. When the user clicks into the textfield I would like the ghost text to disappear, only reappearing if the field is left empty. How do I script the "enter" event to prevent a snap-back from occurring when the textfield is multiple pages. Any suggestions?

  • JTextPane "ghost text": some text is duplicated

    On the surface there is one and only one problem: my JTextPane, which displays a document which is frequently updated (most often using insertString() sometimes displays text twice in two different areas. To be more specific, when new text is insereted it appears as it should, but in addition it can be seen on the line above (the last string ended with a newline). Once this has happened the line continues to accumalate all added text never printing newlines. The text then behaves as expected except that this "ghost text" can not be sellected or edited, its as if it wasn't there!
    This happens infrequently and unexpectedly. More often than not everything renders correctly.
    Possibly related: I sometimes call validate(), setCaretPosition and a few other component methods from threads besides the event thread. This is for good reason though, using invokeLate seems to kill the app completely, and nothing is displayed. The thread is never the main thread.
    Any and all help would be greatlly appreciated!

  • Black background and white text physically hurts & creates ghosting. Please add UI color toggle.

    Hi,
    The new white text on black design physically hurts my eyes and gives very bad ghosting (i.e. persistent image like those in optical illusions that make you stare at particular color combinations and then look away). I know I'm not the only one with this issue because I've researched it in the past. Without an option to switch back to the old design (White background/black text), I'll need to delete my Spotify account and find another service. Please add an option to switch between the two (because I know many prefer black backgrounds). Myself and a host of others, however, cannot use these color combinations. Please let me know if there is a work-around; it would be much appreciated. It's basically unusable to me in it's current state. :(
    ~V

    Absolutely agree with the original poster.  I find white text on black background so very very difficult (I changed from using Tweetbot on iOS to Tweetlogix for this very reason) and it physically hurts my eyes to try to read it.  I can just about manage with Spotify using white text on a black background on the large screen of my MacBook Pro - and I do mean "just" - but for the smaller screen of my iPhone 5 it is just impossible.  Even with a retina screen such as that on the iPhone 5S there is a strange ghosting effect and it gives me a headache to look at it for too long.
    This may be something to do with age!  I suspect most app developers are youngsters with almost perfect eyesight, but for those of us whose eyesight is less than perfect, this white text on black background really is so very difficult.
    I know there is a workaround in setting the iPhone to invert ALL colours (under Accessibility in Settings) but it's a real pain to have to keep altering this setting every time I want to open or close Spotify, and it doesn't look right anyway.  iOS7 is supposed to be a light, bright, easy to read OS - sadly this new Spotify app is the opposite of that.
    Please would Spotify consider adding a simple light or dark theme option, so that those of us who want it can have our much easier to read light background back again, with grey or black text?  It would be a great help to those of us who have eyesight problems.
    If not, I may have to cancel my Spotify Premium account and move to Deezer instead, as I mainly use Spotify when out and about in the car, so am using the iOS app a lot.
    Thank you for considering this plea!

  • Images are ghosted, text and background colors are reverted

    My 12 in Powerbook fell from its stand on the wireless keyboard. Now all images are ghosted and the text has gone from black to white and the background has gone from white to black. On startup everything is fine until everything is loaded, then the changes kick in, colors reverse, and the images become ghosted. What do I do?

    It might be possible that the "Switch to white on black" setting in Universal Access has been activated.
    Try pressing the following key combination: apple-alt-control-8

  • Ghost text is changing the caption to gray italics

    I'm using this script:

    That I gratefully found at this blog: Adding Ghost Text to LiveCycle Designer forms on the adobe.cookbooks.com web site.
    I can get the ghost text to work just fine, however when I just used it in a TextField, it changes the caption to the gray italic text. What is causing this and how do I correct?
    Thanks,
    MDawn

    Hi Margaret,
    Sorry about that, mouslander is right the line "this.caption.font.posture.value = "normal";" should have been "this.caption.font.posture = "normal";" without the .value bit
    If you want to do this in Designer, you can with the Font palette.
    Click the little arrow and update the Value to italic and the 40% gray (153,153,153) and set the caption to black, normal.
    Regards
    Bruce

  • Phone sending out ghost text messages

    Today 2 of my friends received ghost text messages with no information in them. The only reason i caught this was because I asked them had they received a message from me. Both said yes, and it was blank. This occured once before about a month ago, but I never thought to ask if they had received a message. I checked my account this morning and it says I received 2 picture/video messages this morning (WHICH I HAVE NOT) and one of the lines indicates that someone else sent a message and a received the same message on my phone line. This is beyond weird.
    I have spoken to a few others and they said they have had similar issues. I have an LG ALLY, I've had it for almost 2 yrs and this is the first time I've ever had any problems with "phantom" text messages and random charges on my account.
    PLEASE ADVISE. Any help would be appreciated. I've already restarted my phone.
    Thanks. J.

    It couldn't have been a pocket dial situation because the phone is kept on a counter, not in a pocket or purse. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, but the issue with the text message detail saying a message was charged on my account that I never sent is simply odd.
    This doesn't address the fact that someone may have sent it without your knowledge, or do you also have your phone in sight of you 24/7?
    You may also want to keep in mind you do have an Android phone. With this phone, you have the ability to download and install apps to your phone. To be able to use these apps, you have to accept the terms and conditions of each and every app which you install and use. Some apps state in the terms and conditions that it may send/receive text messages. Do you read and remember all of the terms and conditions for each and every one of the apps you have installed on your device?

  • Microsoft word - ghost texting

    I had copied a large word document from a CD and after using Microsoft word for student and teachers edition I started seeing some ghost text on the desktop. The more I used the document the worst the ghost text has gotten.
    It is now on the desktop and also on any application Iopen. Internet, applications, games etc...
    I contacted Microsoft and followed their instructions but it did not work.
    Has anyone else seen this problem? Should I delete Microsoft office? I do have Applecare and did run the Techtool Deluxed disk but nothing came up.
    Any suggestions?

    Haley,
    You really need to purchase either a Stand-alone license just for Word or purchase an Office suite that includes Word to continue using it after the trial period. However, if you are going to purchase it consider these first:
    Your company where you work may of employee discounts at numerous vendors, even Microsoft. I just purchased the entire Enterprise Edition of Office under the Home Use Program for $19.99 through my company. I also purchased other MS Products at the same price.
    If your company doesn't have a employee discount with Microsoft, try the Student & Teacher edition that sales for around $100 or just the Word program itself. This edition has very liberal qualification requirements.
    If you are affliated with the military, the Military edition is a lot less available on base.
    If you buy it from E-Bay or similar auction site, be careful. I know that sometimes they sell other than legal software no matter how original it looks it is still a bad deal and when the program fails you will be left out in the cold.
    I hope this helps you.

  • Setting or a Bug - Ghost Text on New Slide

    In C4 I created a slide where I used a Text Caption box to enter text. Nothing special about it. Now, when I insert a new blank slide the caption text from the other slide appears on the new slide when viewed in Edit View (does not appear in storyboard view, slide is blank). What's strange besides the fact it is there at all, is that it is not appearing as any type of editable component so I can not remove it. The text appears as a "background-like" image on the slide, but not on the slide in the filmstrip. The image below shows the slide with the "ghost" text, the filmstrip with the slide highlighted and blank (slide 7), and the timeline showing no slide components other than the slide itself. Here is what I've tried to get rid of this:
    1) Closed C4 and restarted - no change
    2) Checked background image - blank
    3) Looked at slide properties and settings - all settings are for this slide only and the Apply to All is not checked
    4) Deleted slide and inserted new blank slide - ghost text is still there.
    Is this a bug? The more I work with this product the more bugs I seem to find. Doesn't Adobe test their products before they release them.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Rusty

    Never mind, I solved it. The Text Caption was set to display Rest of Project and not Rest of Slide.

  • Ghost scale factor appied to graphics and text

    I am working on menu generation that uses a container and adds child graphics with text labels
    The container has event listener applied to respond to MOUSE_OUT. This is so the entire menu
    will dissappear on rollout. The problem is that the child MovieClips and applied textFields are
    effected by some kind of scaling factor that I can't find in my code.
    I have attached the file with the code. It is formatted for Unix (line feed line endings)
    Suspect code is line 102 to 139 (knobOverMenu.makeMenu()). Lines 56 to 59 is the formating
    object.
    You will notice the font size is set to 2. I had to do this because using size 10 results in greatly
    scaled text.
    Why would this scaling factor be applied here? I can't find any indication in my code.
    Thank you for time and attention
    JK

    That is a simple rectangle that serves as the background for each menu
    item.
    It was created in Flash and exported to actionscript. So the code is
    what Flash
    created.
    The problem showed up when I started adding menuFieldmc with text label
    to menuPanel. That is another graphic like mainFieldmc but with enough
    height to include all the menu items. I suspect that is the problem. I
    also
    created that in Flash and exported for ActionScript. Inside menuPanel
    the mainFieldmc instances and text labels are scaled about 5 times.
    I am also curious about Sprite. When I convert a graphic element to a
    symbol,
    the dialog does not offer the option of assigning Sprite to the symbol,
    just Simple
    Button, Movie Clip, or Graphic. If I choose graphic it does not create
    an object
    definition.
    Thank you for time and attention
