Text in outgoing emails

I have been using my MacBook Pro for several months now and have had the same account linked to the mail icon as my yahoo account. Over the last few months I have been experiencing trouble with my yahoo account only when sending outgoing emails using my macbook pro. I only experience this when sending emails through safari rather than the mail icon. Every time I send out an email, my message contains a long series of keys from the keyboard prior to my own typed message. This appears after I send every email, but does not appear similar to a signature as I am typing an email. Also, this does not show up if I send an email using another computer or my phone. How can I prevent this from happening again?
The exact series appears as below in every email I send out...
`
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
0
=
backspace
tab
q
w
e
r
.... and so on

AFAIK - You can't prevent the mail from underlining and showing the text as blue when it comes to numbers, address, times and things like that. It is just one annoying feature of the mail app.
You can format outgoing text by selecting it and then tapping the arrow to the right of "Suggest...." And in the next bar that appears tap on "B I U" bold, italics or underline.

    Hi All,
I am searching for a way to create an outgoing email that features both a body text and a payload that is sent as an attachment.
I am not using Mail package. Is there any way to achieve the same.

    Thanks Abhishek,
I have gone through the blog suggested by you.
My scenario is little different.I am not using mail package & I am doing content conversion on the file at receiver mail adapter side using TransformBean module.
Without using standard mail package,is it possible to achieve the requirement.

  • How can I add a privacy statement to my outgoing emails, below my signature?

I'm a therapist and need to have a privacy statement/disclaimer below my signature on my outgoing emails...something like the following:
    STATEMENT OF CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVILEGE
The contents of this e-mail (including its attachments) are intended for the exclusive use of the addressee(s) and may contain confidential or privileged information. Any other distribution, copying or disclosure is strictly prohibited. Email is not a secure medium of communication and should not be used for transmitting private and confidential information.
How do I add this?? thanks, Karen

You can set up multiple signatures and select the appropriate one. Or use stationery where the signature and disclaimer are part of the template document. Or use a text clippings tool to insert ready-to-go frequently used snippets such as your disclaimer text. Many users make use of such a tool in lieu of a prepared signature.

How do I create a hyperlink to text within the same email?
It's not hard to do in the PC world, how about the Mac world?
I bought the book "Mac OS X 10.5 (ISBN: 978-0-321-50263-6) and it does not help with this matter but I've also asked the question at www.ExplainMyBook.com because I thought the book "Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard" might help me out.

not possible AFAIK. Mail html capabilities are pretty rudimentary and this is one of the things it can't do. You might be able to achieve it if you create an html file with such internal anchors in a some html editor, then open that file in safari and embed it into an outgoing email from there. i couldn't make it to work though when I tried.
You should probably stick with a different email client if you want things like that. I know Thunderbird can do it for example.

  • Thunderbird changes outgoing email address

    Composing a new email:
In the "To" field I start to type an address. Thunderbird provides a drop-down of matches from my address book. I select one of the addresses. Thunderbird puts it into the "To" field. At this point, my cursor is still in the "To" field. Then I hit Enter to move to the next field, & Thunderbird changes the email address to a different address (a different address from my address book).
If I add a space after the email address before pressing Enter, Thunderbird leaves the email address as is.
Behavior is kind of random - address is not replaced all the time. Also, for a while Thunderbird will make one change - like always changing address X to address Y, then it will switch to another change - always replacing address Z with address W.
The replacement address is always one that is in the address book.
Also, Thunderbird randomly colors some outgoing email addresses as red, even though they are in my address book.

    hi jbh01
The easiest method is to use the contacts sidebar as described in option 2.
But contacts do need to be in an Address Book.
However, if your issue is to reveal more TO fields, then you can drag the divider downwards. See image below.
If you write using Plain Text , there will be no Formatting Bar. If you use HTML formatting, then there will be a Formatting Bar.
In the image below there is a Formatting Bar between 'Subject' and the composing area. In the image below, I've indicated this with a red line.
Use mouse and hover over this line, the mouse should chnage to a double headed arrow. Left click and hold down to grab the line. Then move mouse downwards to move the line. It will reveal more TO fields.

  • How to format body of outgoing email...

just wondering if "\n"'s should be added to the body of an outgoing email to prevent one long line of text or do most email clients automatically wrap the text...for example...
lets say i compose an email by holding down the number 2 for a few lines (linewrap is set to true)...if i sent this email, would most email clients interpret this as a multiline email or would it be just one long line of 2's...
    thanx in advance

I'd assume you have no guarantee about the formatting applied by the end email client and add the new lines yourself.
In my experience, even this is not guaranteed to work as some destination clients (and/or mail servers) will enforce a line wrap inside the body of the email. That is, they will actually insert new line characters where there wasn't any.
The only way to have any control over formatting is to use a system in which formatting is specified.. like HTML. You could include an HTML part in your messages (in addition to the text part) which formats the messgae however you like. This is more likely (but still not guaranteed) to be honored at the other end.

  • Outgoing emails-- font (not just "display")

Other than changing the font display via the Screen/Keyboard option, is there a way to change the actual text's font on outgoing email messages?

    hello,
when you send the email, you send to the Blackberry servers an email in simple text (no formatting at all). Then the servers add some formatting (Arial about 10px in navy blue). You can't modify that.

  • How do I change the account of a pending outgoing email?

I am having problems with outgoing email in an account. I am using email on my iPad and have built up a backlog of pending outgoing emails in that account. It is very frustrating and leaves me with the feeling that the iPad cannot be relied on as much as a laptop can.

Tap the email in the Outbox to select it. Then you click in the field that has your email address in it - the field with cc/Bcc, From: [email protected],
Then the three fields expand to one line each, Cc, Bcc & From: seen in the second photo below.
Then you can tap on your email address in the  - From: line - to open up the options box and choose the account that you want the email to be sent from. I assume that it will work this way from an email selected from your Outbox. I know you can do this when you type a new email so I think it should work for you as well.
In the photo below - the black text ....When you click this field ... is the line that equates to the Cc/Bcc, From: line in the photo above. That was the original area that I tapped to open up the Cc Bcc and From fields on three separate fields.

  • Outgoing email messages clipped at one line

Very odd fault in Safari. All outgoing email messages from web-based email applications are clipped at the first line only, and the remainder of the text is completely lost. Very annoying and surprising. This occurs at least with Gmail and Novell GroupWise web applications.
Any ideas what is causing this?

Also i use Safari 3.02 Beta together with the actual Webkit r23841 and have send with GMail a mail to GMX. I have no problems. My tip try you the actual WebKit from
    http://nightly.webkit.org
The zip file unzip in a separate folder and run the file run-nightly-webkit.cmd
I use only Safari with the last nightly WebKit. And the nightly is not real nightly. The nightly create in the rhythum of 3-4 days.

  • Outgoing Email Message Being Clipped

This is the weirdest thing but in the last a couple of weeks on some of my outgoing email messages they are being clipped when my recipients receive them usually by a couple of sentences or in some cases paragraphs. I'll get replies back from people asking what happened or requesting clarification and I'll look down through the reply and it will just cut off. I've never ever had this happen before.
I'm using an Exchange 2007 setup on Snow Leopard and Dell PC at work on XP through Outlook 2010 Beta and Outlook 2007 and it only seems to happen on messages that I've composed in Mail on SL. When I look through the sent messages folder on both machines the full text transcription of the message is there, but people are getting ones that are cut off.
As you can imagine it's especially embarrassing on business related emails... any ideas or hypothesis on what may be causing this... could it be something with my Exchange provider... it's MailStreet if that helps.
    Thanks for helping me out!

The email? I did. Like I said, I deleted it from the outbox. I sent a second through Gmail, with fewer pictures in it, but it added to the clutter. So I tried deleting that one, no luck. I deleted the account from which it was to be sent, Gmail, still nothing. I went into airplane mode hoping it would break the connection but it just started trying again once I reconnected.
