Text Mail for every change in status

Dear All,
I know how to trigger mail with smart form for change in status. But I want to trigger sort of alert through mail to respective user. Which will intimate user for change in new status. How can I do that?
In SCOT -> SMTP i have changed PDF to TEXT.

You can setup a mail action in the action list with the CRM configuration in SPPFCADM for the respective message types. I do recommend that if you have a CRM person there that they be the one to make the adjustments and it should be something that they would be able to understand as all the Service Desk and Maintenance Optimizer and ChaRM are just CRM Transactions so you can create an unscheduled mail option with a SmartForm back-end that triggers when the status is changed which will result in an email - these can be specifc to the partners but you must have the email addresses setup in the BP Employee Role and in the SU01 User record for the same.
Sorry that I can't be more specific but there are a number of actions, programming and conditions to setup to make this work. Hopefully you do have a CRM person around that you can borrow for a little to help you along.

If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

Hi,
I am facing problem with the automatic mail notification in service desk configuration.
When i create a support desk message in the satellite system, the message appears in crn_dno_monitor in solution manager. When i change the status of the message from new to in process, i get a mail only with the subject line "MESSAGE IN PROCESS STATUS' and the pdf attachement (sapscript) is missing. I have checked all the configurations in SPPFCADM but i am not able to figure out the problem. Please help me out of this problem.

Hi,
there is a SAP Note with a tutor for send_mail via action. See Note 691303 and the attached .zip-file.
It shows step by step how to set it up and is a very good tutorial. You'll need additional (free) software to let it run.

@Sowmya: what content does the mail have? None? There is a possibility in SolMan where you can choose whether you want the content as a .PDF-Attachment (which, in my eyes, isn't that sparkling) or as regular mail text.
It is located in TA SCOT. Double klick on "SMTP", then klick on "Internet" and there choose in the Drop Down Menu of Sapscript. When you have trouble, look at my [screenshot|http://home.arcor.de/dirk.malas/solman/Mail_TXT_PDF.JPG].

Mail Notification after changing the status

Dear All,
We had configured the Service Desk in Solution Manager.But the requirement is when we change the status of the request (Suppose from New to In Process or from In process to Proposed Solution, there has to Mail Notification which is sent to the user, who has raised the issue.Due to which it helps to not to monitor continuously about the issue logged by him.
Kindly Suggest how to trigger the mail automatically after the issue status changes.

I am trying to use function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send a Text mail like "Purchase order is pending" .But how i can send a text mail .
Here we are not attach any document only the text message we need to different mail id.Or is there any other FM to send text mail.

I have just figured out the answer to a previous post regarding .css files.
Now checking if anyone can please tell me I am wrong about this:
Running Apex on ORACLE XE means that every change to a .css file will only be visible after loading the images directory into the database??

Yes, that is correct.
Fortunately, you can map the APEX images directory to the drive in Windows (or volume on a Mac) using WebDAV. This way, you can edit the .css files right on the database, eliminating the need to load them to the database after each change.

ICloud sends messages for every change in someone else's calendar

I am trying to use iCloud calendar services for collaboration with my wife, and my secretary (I actually even bought a mac for my wife so that we could do this).
However every time either of them change anything in their respective calendars I get an e-mail from iCloud saying an event has been created. This only started about a week ago.
I have checked to see if some of my settings in iCloud have changed, and they haven't (the box in iCloud that says: "E-mail me when this calendar changes" is not ticked).
I am now totally confused about why I am suddenly getting all these e-mails which are quite irritating.

This seems to be a known problem with no solution at present, I'd be inclined just to wait for a fix to be released.

Table for "documents change" with statuses

I need a table where all the status changes for a service order (ticket) are stored (with dates).
I know of CDHDR table, but there are no entries for statuses?

Showing text comment for every selection under dropdownbox

We retrieve key, value data for a dropdown box from a BI query. Based on the selection under drop down box, we want to display a comment next to it. How can this be achieved in VC without making any further calls to BI? Thanks, MD

This is possible if the no.of values for that dropdown are limited.
one of the ways you can do this is to have text fields beside the dropdown where you can have comment for each value in the dropdown and write the visibility condition for each of the text fields based on the value in the dropdown.

Control Approval mails for every user

Hi everyone,
I have following question:
We have implemented an approval workflow to publish documents in our CM. If a user submits a document to approval, an email will be sent to the person who has to approve the document and a workitem is sent to the UWL. How can I suspend the sending of the email, so that the approver only gets a workitem to the UWL and not an email in addition too? Is it possilbe to control that for each user like in R/3 SBWP?

yes, that would be the easy way! But I don't want to remove the email channel, because user should still be able to send emails etc. from portal. also the feedback, collaboration services should send mails. I only want to suspend the email notifications for the approval process!

Hi,
is it possible to get an email everytime someone adds or changes something on a workspace where i am a member?
Up to now i have to check several times per day if someone has post new files or new information on a workspace.
Is there a standard menu or do i have to code it?

Polling for change in status in db

Hello,
In my current process I need to wait for the change in status (or a new record) in a database.
A while loop, is making the process too large and is not probably the way to go.
Can I achieve this using the db adapter, it has a poll for change but it does not have any parameters.
The query generated is [SELECT ID, DEC_NO, PICK FROM POLL_TEST ORDER BY DEC_NO ASC]
but what I need is [SELECT ID, DEC_NO, PICK FROM POLL_TEST where DEC_NO=#parameter from input]
My flow is like this:-
Step 1 - receive
Step 2 - some other operations
Step 3 - wait //my problem is here
Step 4 - continue with process
Any other way this can be achieved?

Mail sent by the program are getting appended for every line item in ITAB.

Hello Experts,
My program has to send mail for every line item in my internal table. Each line itme will provide the data to be filled in body of the mail .Now the problem is when i recieve mail in outlook the body of the mail is getting appended every time i recieve the mail
For example , if the mail has to go for 3 entry in itab out of five then i'm getting 3 mails but 2nd has body of 1 also and 3d has body of 1st and 2nd.
I'm using loop - endloop and it is happening due to this but is there any other way out to send mails for each line without body getting appended.
Please see the code below i'm using:-
LOOP AT lt_bg INTO lw_bg.
PERFORM populate_message_table.>>>>>>Preparing body

Mail for exchange image retrieving

Hallo ,
Can somebody help me with exchange sync. The problem is that i recieve many times forworded mails. They have many signatures from anyone who has written there. So when i open a mail it continues telling me 'retrieving .png 'for example , and refresh the mail form the begining. If i read it , it turnd me back form the begining. so first 15 sec i cannot read the mail when open it because it dont stop to refresh itself for every image. In fact i stop the option for recieving image in the mail. from sett/phone / mail/message display/ image download - it is off. I think this is useful only for .jpg. So is there an option to make mail application not to refresh the mail for every singular part of one mail. Or is there a different sollution. Devide is n8

Have created a Compliance Template to check if a datastore has less than 5GB free space, an Alert and configured the alert (VE Alert Configuration).
Issue is that it sends an e-mail for every host that is connected to a given datastore.
Want just a single e-mail per Datastore.
Thoughts?

You can configure it using:
Get one host of cluster to create a filter
Filter -
Host = 'CCC'
and create a rule using:
Data Type: vCenter – Hosts – Storage – Summary
Rule Type: Conditional (if/then)
IF
Datastore name = 'xxxxx' OR
Datastore name = 'yyyyyyy' OR
Datastore name = 'zzzzz' OR
THEN
Free Space (GB) > '5'
After complete , run a template to test and see results.
