Mail Notification after changing the status

Dear All,
We had configured the Service Desk in Solution Manager.But the requirement is when we change the status of the request (Suppose from New to In Process or from In process to Proposed Solution, there has to Mail Notification which is sent to the user, who has raised the issue.Due to which it helps to not to monitor continuously about the issue logged by him.
Kindly Suggest how to trigger the mail automatically after the issue status changes.

    I am facing problem with the automatic mail notification in service desk configuration.
    When i create a support desk message in the satellite system, the message appears in crn_dno_monitor in solution manager. When i change the status of the message from new to in process, i get a mail only with the subject line "MESSAGE IN PROCESS STATUS' and the pdf attachement (sapscript) is missing. I have checked all the configurations in SPPFCADM but i am not able to figure out the problem. Please help me out of this problem.

    Hi,
    there is a SAP Note with a tutor for send_mail via action. See Note 691303 and the attached .zip-file.
    It shows step by step how to set it up and is a very good tutorial. You'll need additional (free) software to let it run.

    @Sowmya: what content does the mail have? None? There is a possibility in SolMan where you can choose whether you want the content as a .PDF-Attachment (which, in my eyes, isn't that sparkling) or as regular mail text.
    It is located in TA SCOT. Double klick on "SMTP", then klick on "Internet" and there choose in the Drop Down Menu of Sapscript. When you have trouble, look at my [screenshot|http://home.arcor.de/dirk.malas/solman/Mail_TXT_PDF.JPG].

  • Sending mails even after changing the rpd.

    hi,
    i have successfully created the functionality of ibot, conditional ibot and chain ibot.
    i can see the report in the mails.and everything is working fine now.
    If i want oracle bi to send the mails (to let the ibot run ) even when i change the repository by making changes into instanceconfig.xml and NQSconfig.xml, will that be possible.
    for example
    i have created a repository Employee.
    which point to my oracle 1o g server named emp_server.
    I am using the employee_data schema out of it.
    which sends mails to employee which are there.for exampel abc, xyz.
    Now i want to create another ibot which would be different server in different schema and will be using different mailing list.
    i can do this by making changes in the instanceConfig.xml and NQSconfig.xml and can create ibots which will shoot mail to my manger list.This is also working fine.
    Problem is if i make change in above file my oracle BI will point to second rpd and mails from first rpd will not work.
    Can i make changes so that both the mails should work.of employees and manager too.

    think of merging of repositories..
    so that, all subject areas presents in single repository..
    this is common to merge different rpds, for every project. So that you need not to change each time you change the rpd...
    and all reports works fine... with single rpd..

  • How to change the status of an incident, after it is "Confirmed"

    Hi, I'm new to ITSM and the client asking me how he can change the status of an incident, after he change it to "Confirmed".  Is there a way to change the status of an incident after it is set to "Confirmed"?  Or can I change the configuration of the Status field to allow that change?

    I dont think, you can reopen the confirmed ticket by standard, but please try with the report CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT.
    if not try with the status profile customization, remove the FINI settings from the confrimed status  also change the highest and low values also accordingly.

    I have an urgent requirement to findout a exit which will trigger after changing the document status to PARKED and COMPLETE. I need this for invoice and FI document.

    Yes the Workflow Background process completed successfully with no errors. I see the error when I query up the Sales Order go to menu --> Workflow Status -->
    Activity History.
    The Activity History shows error in the Wait Function and the error message is 3001: Invalid command argument.?
    This error message does not explain much. I followed all the steps in document# 397364.1
    Don't know why it should end in error and how it can be fixed?
    Any more ideas?

    A notification is in process(NOPR) .Is it possible to change this status to outstanding?

    it is status defined by the sytem. so you cannot go the status "notification processing " to "notification outstanding".
    By the way could be please exlain why you want to change the status of the notificaiton?

  • Change the status of the notification center in iPhone programmatically or atleast read what the status is  for a particular application

    Is it possible to control and change the status of the notification center in iPhone for a particular application.
    1)      In the application push notification is implemented.
    2)      Once this application is installed we can see the app in the notification center.
    3)      There is an option to ON or OFF
    4)      In the application we need an option to check if the above option is ON or OFF.
    5)      If the option is OFF we need to provide the user an alert stating that  in the notification center has it option off and here we have to provide an option to user to switch ON the option at the notification center.

    Well, I could find a fix for that.
    My mistake was that 1: I wasn't getting the correct ntype code for my value list type. And 2: I wasn't giving the Id name.
    The new result came as this:
    statusObjRef = doc.getStatusRef();

    status = statusHome.findUniqueByNameType("Drafting Agreement", 1);
    doc.setStatusRef(status.getObjectReference());
    In case anyone has this problem, you should check the collection of values internal id, that's the actual ntype code (the number you send on the second parameter).
    But I could still use help having some advice on the Master Agreement elements handling (getting data from the master agreement or the data thas is being edited at the moment before saving).
    If anyone could give some advice, they would be very welcome

    Should it be a cache problem? Where can i delete the caches?

    Hi,
    I guess there can be two things.
    before going to the tcode sxi_cache...
    Please go to the IR, Click Environment, Cache Notification and then select author as your id.
    Now see if any are in red status. if so click on the change and click Repeat Cache Notification.
    Now press refresh.
    I guess this will resolve your problem

  • Back dated action  which is changing the status ' inactive'

    hi friends,
    my requirement is as below :
    i want to insert  back dated action which is changing the status as inactive ( currently he is active) .
    System is not accepting to insert it and giving the message "   future action exists,check the status"
    So for that first i am deleting  all future actions and inserting the current action(which is changing status) and after inserting back  all the deleted actions.
    But the problem is  as per the latest records in IT0000 it is showing currently the  employee is in 'active' status(as we have inserted back the deleted records).
    But i want to make him into 'inactive' status after the current action( which is changing status as inactive) is inserted.
    This is my urgent requirement . an anybody respond to this immeadately.

  • Changing the status of Equipment in a follow up action

    Hi All,
               I have a requirement in which a function module will be triggered for a particular Follow up action.
    In this FM we have to determine the equipment and the Maintenance Order , if both are available , status of the equipment
    should change to 'A' , status of maintenance - order = 'Technically completed' and Maintenance Notification = 'Notification Completed' .
    How can this be done.? I am able to change the status of Maintenance order and notification but can anyone help me in
    determining the equipment and changing its status to 'A'. ?

  • Sharepoint Designer - Two step List Workflow task item is not changing the status from not started to Complete

    Hi 
    Using SPD i am creating list workflow.
    Scenario: Employee submits a request . Task assign to manager. Manager can either approve/ reject. If approve then change the state column to "done". If rejected the state column to "Rejected".
    Problem is "Assign a to do item" is assigning the task to manager. But after manager approves the status in the task list not changed to "Completed". Still it is showing "Not started". I dont want to manually complete the task.
    Please help me for automatic process. 
    What i should do to change the status to "Complete" automatically after manager approval

    Hi Janani,
    From your description, you would like to create an approval workflow for a list. When an employee submit a request to the list, an approval task should be assigned to manager, then manager could approve or reject the request. From the request list,
    we should be able to see the Approval task’s status.
    Not understand the reason of designing the workflow to two steps, an approval action should be enough from my understanding. For producing, I create a list named Request list, then customize it in InfoPath form to add a Request field for stating request
    content. Then add a workflow to list named Approval task, add the action of Start an approval process with administrator and make the workflow automatically start when item is added.
    The image below shows the status of Adding items, Approving and Rejecting. Please check if it could meet your requirement.

  • While Changing the status system gives error

    Dear Experts,
    In Solution Manger,  While changing the status from Tcode SE38 with Program CRM_SOCM_SERVICE_REPORT system gives error.
    Document 8000002519 refused for technical reasons: ERROR_FREE
    Message no. SOCM_ACTION_LOG203
    Diagnosis
    The status value cannot be changed.
    The document may no longer be modifiable as a result of its status, or it may be being edited by another user.
    System Response
    This change transaction is skipped during report processing.
    Procedure
    Analyze the corresponding document during transaction processing and perform the status change manually if necessary.
    Also if i select the status as in process, then it executes sucessfully.  Please help me in this.

    Pls check your SP level because till SP17 this (CRM_SERV_REPORT) Tcode is not present
    I just checked.
    So it seems this is availabe only after SP18.... we can use the above report.
    Kindly confirm once you solve your problem.

  • Changing the status of appraisal document

    dear experts,
    I am working in ECC 6.0
    I have created an appraisal category and template and want to maintain it for evaluations and released the document
    After saving and completing the document, i want to revoke the status from "released " to "non released". I have also deleted all the appraisals thro " transaction -"appchange "
    i am not able to revoke the status from released to non released . what is the solution for this issue ?

    Hi
    You will not be able to change the templates that have been released. This is a part of the standard functionality.
    To unrelease and make the changes execute the following steps
    1. Go to transaction phap_admin
    2. Delete all the open documents (in process, assigned, etc) corresponding to the appraisal template
    3. Right click the appraisal template in phap_catalog and change the status to not release

    In the actual question, you mentioned that the old record needs to be deleted and hence the solution provided.
    Now, you are talking about field. May I know which field are you talking about??
    Jst get in to ABAP Editor and try debugging the code with the solution provided and let us know if that is working fine or not.
    Also, I recommend you to take a look at the transaction ABAPDOCU. There you wil find hell lot of examples explaining all the scenarios. You will get a good idea .
    Please check that and try to implement it yourself. You will be able to make it after doing mistakes.
    If you stuck up again after many attempts, paste your code here. We will help you out
