Texting from I Mac from Verizon wireless web page

When I text from my I Mac on the Verizon wireless web page, I receive reply's when I send the text immediately, however, I don't receive reply's if I send the text using the send later option. Is it possible to receive reply's when using the send later option?

When you use the send later option, any replies will not be received back in vtext.com. Reason is these are actually one-way alerts which have no real reply email address. You will notice the from address is different than when you send a text immediately.

Taking regular text from a saved web page through java.

Hello, currently I'm trying to save the source code from a regular HTML web page as a string. Which in fairness is pretty simple through the URL and InputStreamReader classes.
But my problem is I'm not fully sure how to save the source code when the page is saved on your hard drive, as the (i think) URL class tries to look for a non-existant host.
I think I need to use the HTMLEditor class but my knowledge of this is vague at best.
Any ideas?
Also I''m just trying to take out the regular text from the page (ie. what you see on the screen) and store that, is there any way specifically I should go about this? As I doubt it's going through the entire string and looking for specific tags to remove.

Oh, I'm with you 100%. Ipad is a nice 'accessory' to a PC or Mac. No replacement, by far.
I didn't share this, but I think it was in a frame or apart of a link. The ipad wanted to follow the link. At the other page was the same info. Still, I could not select it.
The ipad2 has dual processors. Do you think that could make a difference?
I was advised once to re-boot my cell-phone often. To clear it's memory. Does the Ipad need this as well?
I can select all day long while in this text edit box. But if I wanted to quote you by copy/paste, I cannot. Interesting. And it is right above and on the same page I am working on.

Weird text message from Verizon Wireless

I have been receiving the text message from 900080004000 three times a day. It is from Verizon Wireless. The tech at Verizon store tried to fix this problem by blocking all text messages from email and website. It didn't work. Does anyone know how to stop it?

YF if these messages keep coming an you cant get them stopped Call CS an have them change your phones No. an see if that pute a stop to it. as those Msg's can drive you crazy.! i had to do this some time back before i got my Droids.

Don't be surprised. I received this same notice but verizon has almost no way for a person to find the answer easily. Plus there are several charges on my bill that are on the web page that link to the contract. The links go no where! !
If they are going to charge something they need to find a way for people to know what is being charged.
An Iphone6 was upgraded on October 6 under the Edge program. The charge was added almost immediately and appeared on the October 12 billing cycle. The older phone was returned to them under the Verizon Edge plan and it was received by verizon on the 13th of October. That credit has still not been applied to our account. It took them a matter of minutes to charge us for the new IPhone 6 but so far they have not been able to apply the credit for the edge return after eight days. All the links to this transaction are dead and there are no records on the verizon billing site to back up the charges. The message today is the first 'hint' that there may be a charge coming but no mention of the credit.

There's a link on the howardforum board (see the hotlink in the above posting) to a site where you can download a new .plist (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9PH5DVRU) I replaced the iSync .plist with the downloaded file and restarted my iMac.
(the howardforum board has directions for "showing" the .plist in Applications; right click on the iSync application).
iSync immediately recognized my phone via BLUETOOTH and I synched all my contacts wirelessly. I too bought the USB cable but never got it to work wired with iSync and don't need it now.
The download also has a .TIFF of the RAZR, so your iSync panel will have an icon for it.
Took a little trying (I am not used to this level of tinkering) but once I restarted the Mac, voila, no probs.
PS - I am talking about the Verizon RAZR V3c. Good luck.

Have a 5S w/ Sprint, can't receive texts from verizon non-iphones!

Ported a # as of 10/2 from Tmobile to the iphone 5s I received from Sprint.
Since then I can't receive texts from verizon non-iphones! They
can see my texts. Googling this, it seems like there's been issues
like this for other people. Can anyone advise as this is very bad!

SMS and MMS are carrier features. There is nothing you can do on your phone to fix this. It's either a problem with Sprint, Verizon, or T-Mobile. You've reported the problem to Sprint, that's all you can do. About the only other thing that could be done would be to have somone you know on Verizon who can't send messages to you open a ticket with Verizon.

Rebates from Verizon Wireless-I got mine!

I have been a Verizon Wireless customer for more than 6 years. I received my rebate card in the mail today. I have to say that Matt at the Spokane Valley Mall Verizon Store was EXCELLENT in helping me get the new phone I needed and set me up with all the accessories necessary in this day and age. He also gave me the paperwork that I had to send in for the rebate cared. All I did was make sure it was coming to me....and put it in the mail. It only took 3 weeks! I activated my rebate card and signed it and am ready to go! I am very Happy with Verizon Wireless.

In case it might help, here's the actual language in the email from Verizon Wireless:

Texts from Verizon in the middle of the night

I don't appreciate getting texts from Verizon in the middle of the night. Of course, all 4 of us on our plan got those same messages. When I called, the representative I talked with said, of course, that these are automated messages and they have no control over them. I had 14 texts from Verizon beginning at 12:38 AM and ending at 4:26 AM. The texts were in reference to data usage which the representative said was probably from 24 to 72 hours ago. Then text me during the day. How aggravating!!!!!!! Has anyone else had this problem????

The texts are sent as soon as reported data hits each threshold. Data use information is synced to your account during those times of the day when reporting can be more accurate considering most people don't use data at those times and congestion on the network would be at its lowest.

Hi DG.
The easiest way to copy an HP Photo Creations project to another computer is to click the Share button. That will upload the project to the Web and give you a link you can paste into an email. Clicking the link on the other computer allows you to download the project and personalize it. This quick video shows the process. (The screen looks slightly different now, but the concept is the same.)
Another way to share a project is copy the project folder to a thumb drive. Look in Documents/HP Photo Creations/My Things to find your saved projects.

Invoking a Crystal Report stored on a BOXI3.1 server from a remote web page

We would like to run Crystal Reports stored on our BOXI 3.1 server directly from an in-house intranet website written in ASP.Net. Is there a recommended way of achieving this?
Some possible options we are considering are:
1) A pop-up window opens with InfoView loaded and showing the correct report already open. The user would then populate the parameters and submit the report as if they had logged into InfoView and navigated to the report themselves.
2) We write our own BOXI Crystal Report submission page in ASP.Net. This page would call the BusinessObjects Enterprise .NET SDK to retrieve the report parameter information and submit the report. This page would need to support Static, Dynamic, and Cascading report parameters.
3) Use some sort of 3rd party or SAP imbedded Web Component that we can place on our intranet site that interfaces with the BOXI server and supports parameter setting and report submission. This Component would allow users to specify Static, Dynamic, or Cascading report parameters.
Ideally we would prefer option 3 as this would be simplest to implement, however Iu2019m not sure such a component exists.
Do SAP have a recommended solution for invoking a Crystal Report stored on a BOXI 3.1 server from a remote web page?

Hi Paul,
there are several options:
- you could open InfoView via URL and the user navigates to the report
- you could create you own application
but the easiest way is an application called OpenDocument that is available out of the box which allows you to pass in several URL parameter and in that way you could open up the report.
when you go to help.sap.com and go to the BusinessObjects area search for OpenDocument and you will find the documentation with the details.

Unable to send web content emails from mail as web page since upgrading to the new OS X 10.9

I am no longer able to send web content emails from mail as web page. The images / layout no longer transmit. This started when I upgraded to the new OS X 10.9. The emails appear correctly in the orginal message prior to sending but once they are sent all the images and layout are removed. The sent message folder shows the emails in the changed versions vs what the draft showed prior to sending. If the webpage is only an image my final sent message will only show an empty box with an question mark.

from the list on the left. On the right you should now see a list of all connected USB devices, as well as some built-in components. Is the device shown?

one of the ssid on the controller has web authentication and the authentication page not showing once connected .
some clients ( like laptop) authentication page shows but when we press submit button nothing happen .

Tnx again , i beleive i have narrow down the problem , After physically removed the controller from the switch problem experencing only with mobile devices .In your previous reply you mentioned abt DNS . I did not understand the role of DNS in it. sorry for that . Once user connected SSID and browse anything , this will redirect to the virtual ip http://1.1.1.1/login.html?........ .we have not registered this virtual ip in the DNS server .

Unable to print return label from Verizon Wireless Website due to Pop-Up Blocker Settings

I contacted a customer service representative via chat on the Verizon Wireless website on January 27, 2014 regarding the purchase of a Verizon 4G LTE USB Modem-UML 295. He assured me that if I purchased the device, I would be able to return it within 14 days without any obligation to pay for the device or commit to a two year contract. After that assurance, I ordered the device. I received the device via FedEx on January 30, 2014 and there was no return label included in the package.
On February 6, 2014, 10 days after the order was placed, I attempted to print a return label to return the device. After my first attempt to print a return label did not work, I used the option on the web page to print a second return label. After the second attempt to print a return label was unsuccessful, I found that my pop up blocker on my web browser was preventing the print screen from opening. After I turned off my pop up blocker, I attempted to find an option to print a return label a third time, however, there was no option to print a third label.
I contacted customer service via chat on February 7, 2014 and they were not able to provide me with a return label or disconnect the service. The representative told me to contact customer service via phone. I spoke with “Karen” at the phone number that he provided. Karen instructed me to attempt to go to a local Verizon Dealer to get a return label. She also told me that she would mail me a return label; that she was unable to email me a return label or assist me in printing a new return label on the website; and she expressed her concern that I may miss the 14 day return window because she had to mail the return label to me. Furthermore, she told me that the only way to disconnect service on the device was to return it and that she was only able to “suspend” service at this time. This conflicts the language on the customer receipt that states, “you MUST contact Customer Service if you want to disconnect service. Your wireless service and related access CHARGES WILL CONTINUE until the time you contact Customer Service to disconnect service."
So far, my attempts to return the device have been frustrated by mechanisms provided by the company to do so. I contacted my local Verizon authorized Radio Shack in Grangeville, Idaho and the next closest Verizon Authorized Dealer 70 miles away in Lewiston, Idaho and neither were able to provide me with a return label because they are not Corporate Verizon Wireless stores. I will continue to attempt to find a way to return the device within the 14 day window, but intend this to serve as notice of my attempts to comply with the contract provisions.
I look forward to a expeditious and equitable resolution to this situation and hope to continue to be a loyal customer to the Verizon Wireless company.

This is a customer to customer forum, not going to alert Verizon wireless here.
However get yourself to a UPS or FedEx store location and you pay for the return shipment back to Verizon wireless out of your own pocket
However you need to get the return address before you can send it back. Call Verizon 1-800-922-0204 to get the address or even try Google to see if it matches what they told you.
Insure the item at the most you can afford. Keep your receipt and track it constantly.
Do a Overnight delivery otherwise Verizon will claim its been after 14 days and then you are in big do do.
They will make you pay fees etc. so do this quickly. Its well worth the money.

Why have I received a text from Verizon telling me that my account is locked?

It gives me a link that takes me to a site50 location. This sounds fishy but I cannot contact a verizon representative online or by phone. Anyone else having this problem?

I finally got through to Verizon and they confirmed it as a spam. We reset my account and I am good again except that the scammers got confirmation of my cell phone number which might lead to spamming in the future. It looked like a valid text msg but upon reflection, the link was not to a secure site. It was to an http: site rather than the expected https: type of site. Also another lesson learned is to remember the separate password for billing account interactions. It is different from the My Verizon Account password. It is needed to access help from Verizon and would have saved me a lot of time. Instead, I had to listen to many telephone menus before I got to a real person. Thanks for your help Ann154.
