The Best Chart Tool?

I looking for a chart tool to use in jsp and export
chart to image format (gif or jpg).
This lib must have direct connect to db by jdbc.
Somebody knows which one can be the best choice?.
Any suggest are welcome?

JFreeChart is great. I've tried RChart as well, but it's limited, and not as robust as JFreeChart. RChart is good if you want, quick, easy charts with little coding. JFreeChart is best if you want more complex charts with many more options.

Which is the best reporting tool for JDeveloper 10g: JasperReports, Crystal Reports or something else? I want to build parametric and rather complex reports but I don't know which tool offers more features, flexibility, ease of use , ... . I've built some simple parametric reports using JasperReports and JDeveloper 10g but I think it's not so productive and may need something more, maybe iReport. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'lm using Jasper too, and here is an example of how i pass to it some variables:

Duende SSL is the best mixing tool

Guys do not bother with any other plug in on the market Duende is the best sounding tool EQ compressor e.t.c.
I have gotten Waves, Sonnox, URS, UAD-2, TC Powercore. Duende is way better clear sound professional.
I have Neve EQ, Cambridge EQ Pultec EQ La2a 1176 Fairchild e.t.c from UAD-2
Sonnox EQ, Compressor e.t.c
Waves almost everything.
Just working with the channel strip of Duende you don't need anything else and of course Bus Compressor.
X-EQ, X-Comp are the best out there but I am telling you again with just the Duende's channel strip you dont need anything else in the market.
I spent couple thousand of dollars to realize that I hope you will not do the same thing.

Keep in mind, it's ONE sound. A VERY good sound, mind you, but just one color. The SSL color.
I owned Duende when it first came out, and ended up having to get rid of it, because they hadn't worked out the bugs yet, and I had to move on. But you're right about the sound of the EQ... absolutely stunning.
Better than UAD? Not in my opinion... just different. I can get a lot more "colors" from my UAD plug-ins... there's more variety there.
Glad you're so into Duende though. It's nice to actually love the gear you use... makes the whole experience so much better, doesn't it?

If you have access to My Oracle Support then review this note for alternatives -
How To Migrate Non-Oracle Databases For Which a SQL*Developer or Migration Workbench Option Is Not Available (Doc ID 393760.1)
For example, you could use a gateway and connect to Sybase then copy table to Oracle, but this won't do things like move stored procedures etc and you would have to move these manually.
Load the non-Oracle data into flat files and use SQL*Loader to put the data into Oracle tables. Again manual work is required for the other objects.
In Oracle 12c there will be additional features to help migrate from non-Oracle databases.
In the 12c documentation there is a migration guide:

There are several tools and methods for generating test data for Oracle:
STATSPACK - You can easily write your own SQL capture, directly from the STATSPACK stats$sqlstat table.
AWR - AWR captures historical SQL in the dba_hist_sqlstat table.
SQL Tuning Sets – This 10g tool grabs SQL from the library cache or Oracle.
SQL Performance Analyzer (SPA) – This new 11g tool captures representative SQL workloads.
Mercury LoadRunner - A popular tools for simulating the real-world effect of an Oracle system change.
Quest Benchmark Factory - A complete environment for showing the effects of an Oracle change.
DBGEN - The TPC-H tools, dbgen and qgen allow for the development of anywhere from a gig to a terabyte databases.
Hammerora - The Hammerora product provides a means to create a pseudo-TPC-C database and generate loads against it.

Best is a subjective term, however I can recommend JBuilder as an IDE to do just what you want.
It comes complete with Tomcat and Borlands Enterprise Server. It supports other Web Servers and J2EE servers either natively or by using plug ins.
Everything is nicely intergrated which means that you can do everything in the IDE.

What is the best diagnostic tool for Mac 10.7

Having lots of weird problems....such as mail opens when I start an app,, have to reboot to open Mac, windows show on screen with desktop, etc. Have verified disc & repaired permissions. Shows all is ok... Installed Norton for Mac, no viruses.

Norton Antivirus (made by Symantec) has a very long and illustrious reputation for mangling Mac OS X systems, sometimes to the point where a complete reinstall is necessary. Among other things, it installs kernel extensions which are known to cause kernel panics and system freezes; it contains known and documented bugs which can silently corrupt Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign files, destroy a user's ability to authenticate as an administrator, and (on PPC systems) can cause Classic to stop functioning; and Symantec has on at least two occasions now released flawed .dat file updates which erroneously report certain critical Mac OS X files as "viruses." (Deleting these "viruses" causes damage to the system that in some cases renders it unbootable.)

The best elearning tool?

Hi there,
I have been asked to research for a client what elearning development tools are available at the moment and a list of advantages and disadvantages from a development perspective.
The only major development tools I am aware of are the Adobe Elearning Suite, Knowledge Presenter and Lectora Pro Suite.
Can people please provide me with any advice on these or more products they are aware of?
It is difficult to find un-biassed opinions.

Your information was very useful. I have conducted some more research and it is amazing how many packages are out there!
Basically the client is really keen to convert one of their two day instructor led courses into 7 online modules at 30 minutes each as it will be a placed as a refresher course. There will be videos to be inserted and a medium level of interactivity for activities. I still need to find out if this needs to be published to an LMS and if it needs to be SCORM compliant etc.
What I am finding is that from a development perspective some packages are very rapid and dont require much tech knowledge but you dont seem to have much freedom over how they look or function compared to others.
Would it be your advice not to invest in a whole suite of products but really just try to choose the best programs for each requirement?

We are a small size pharmaceutical company with an existing SAP ECC 6.0 installation. Currently we do not have any BPM system. We are looking for the best possible BPM tool (cost considerations exist) that will
- automatically create some graphical business process documentation using our live SAP system data
- supports an eEPC or BPMN based documentation option that is managable by a team
- is user friendly enough so that business and IT would want to cooperate using this tool when designing processes.
Any viewpoint on the right tool? We only know Intellicorp's LiveModel + LiveCompare so far. We like it but want to hear about alternatives.

Pics in your iPhone camera roll are imported just like pics from any digital camera. Use iPhoto or Image Capture. iTunes isn't involved in this at all, other than pics/videos in your camera roll are included in the iPhone backup.

Is SAP BODS the best ETL tool for a complex BI Environment

We are in the process of rationilising our BI / Analytics environment.
We currently have SAP ECC6 as our ERP system, SAP BW as our Warehouse and BO for WEB and Dashboard fron ends. In additon we have a small instance of COGNOS which is largely fed with flat file loads but some Oracle and ECC6 data.
In addition we are evaluating Big data solutions with Teradata the current lead.
We are in danger of having multiple ETL tools associated with the main BI applications and so we are comparing SAP BODS with IBM Datastage with a view to slecting one of them as our only ETL tool.
Does anyone have any compatability information for SAP BODS with Cognos and Teradata? The main function required would be extracting from ECC6 into SAP BW, Cognos and Teradata.

What is the best reporting tool to use over a WAN

I am currently working on improving the performance of our Oracle FMIS over a WAN that covers most of Australia.
I was wondering if anyone could point me to tech information on the impact of Oracle Reporting tools on a WAN.
The three tools we use are ADI, Discoverer and strait Oracle Reports.
I am not an expert in Oracle so even basic info on the effect of the 3 products would be of help, of course if anyone is willing to share their experiences it would be appreciated.
We have two major user sites of 500 people seperated by 3000km and 5 minor sites 2000 from head office. I unfortunalty am at the major office 3000km from the server with 500 dissatisfited users.

Desktop Project Warnings window not the best help tool

The Desktop Project Warnings window is saying that I need to provide an audio clip but not showing where. Is there a better way to see what's needed?
So is there a log file window or something like that where I can trace the problem?

In looking over the help, you are correct that the description of ad types fails to specify that Desktop means iTunes Radio. The inverse, however, is well-documented:

I would strongly recommend you click the "Send feedback" link on the help page to let Apple know that the help text should be clarified.

What is the best reporting tool for my web application?

Hi guys,
I'm using ADF 11g with EJB 3.0 im my web application. My application is deployed on weblogic server 11g, I want to use a reporting tool in my application that is dynamic and flexible.
Note: I've tried to use JasperReports but it didn't fulfill my needs.

There are plenty of them. Oracle has one called BI Publisher, and there are others out there as well, such as BIRT, Business Objects, etc, etc, etc.
"it didn't fulfil my needs" doesn't give anyone any possibility to comment, because you didn't tell us why, or what was lacking.
