The best internet browser

hi, sorry if this is the wrong thread, but i have recently purchased a 17" imac with intel core duo and i'm wondering which internet browser is the best (considering speed and stability): safari, mozilla firefox (deerpark), or camino?

My two favorite Mac browsers are Safari and Camino. They are both Universal Binary and are both very fast. However, I still use Safari more. I like it's design better, and I have found it to be compatible with more sites than Camino. Personally, I don't like Firefox. Camino uses the same engine, but is faster, and better.
I hope this helps.
Oh, There is a Universal version of Bon Echo. Here's a link.

Hello kjp2007 & Welcome to Discussions,
Well, it pretty much depends on who you ask as to what the best browser is for OS 9.1
There are a few and you have to decide which one best suits your needs.
I think I can speak for everyone when I say that Internet Explorer is a no no because, one, it's a memory hog and two Microsoft no longer provides support for it's Mac version.

There are a few other browsers you could look at, but again you are the best judge.

'''Thank You !''' jscher2000. I just downloaded Firefox 31.0 even though my computer does not meet the system requirements. I have a Pentium III, 999Mhz, not the recommended Pentium IIII. The browser seems to be functional at this time. I will re post only if I run into problems. Thanks again.

That's probably more a problem to ask Nintendo or Opera Software?

  • What is the FASTEST Internet Browser for OSX? (2014 Edition)

What is the FASTEST Internet Browser for OSX? (2014 Edition)
I'm a tech junkie, I love everything about technology.. especially FAST and EFFICIENT technology..
I am currently using Google Chrome, and have nothing bad so say about it.. I like that I can "sign in" to Google Chrome pretty much anywhere (including my iPhone 5s), and instantly have access to all of my Bookmarks and Bookmark folders..
I have seen a bunch of benchmark tests testing a bunch of available internet browsers on OSX.. however, the results seem a bit inconclusive and varying, and some that even support the notion that Safari is now FASTER than Google Chrome.. I'm not sure whether or not to believe it, and I don't really have the time/energy to conduct a series of tests on my own..
What do you guys think? Is Google Chrome still considered the "fastest" when it comes to browsing/downloading?

Has anyone used or have any opinions about Lightning?  I found some positive reviews around, and granted they all mention it's unrefined, they all seem to think it is the fastest.  Great as that may be, before I fork out the $2 I would like to get some more info regarding privacy and security.

As others have already said, you already have it. Here are some details, depending on what version of OS X you are using:
Mac OS X Snow Leopard and malware detection
OS X Lion- Protect your Mac from malware
OS X Mountain Lion- Protect your Mac from malware

What is the best web browser for iPad 2?

I have Mercury, Atomic, Dolphin and iCab. They all offer features that Safari does not have. If you liked the former mini windows view that Safari had in iOS 4, I think iCab would be a great choice. It offers something similar to that as well as tabbed browsing, DropBox support, it can identify as other browsers (I can't remember what that feature is called) and IMO - it blows Safari out of the water.
All of these browsers have more to offer than Safari, but I like iCab the best.

  • Questions-Best Internet Browser(s), PC security

PC Model- Lenovo G530- Windows Vista Home Edition
    1. Which Internet Browser(s) are the best one according to security, speed, unwanted pop-ups, etc.
I usually use Firefox 3.5.5 because I have read and heard Firefox is safer and better than other browsers. But usually Firefox is also slower for some reason on my PC.  Is it just me or others have similar issue with using Firefox.
I have used Opera in the past as well, it is fast but I am not sure about its secuirty.  I think Firefox and Opera are better than I.E.
    2.  What should I get for my PC security.  I currently use Adavanced System Care. It has pulled lots of problems and fixed them, making my PC faster after each scan.  I find ASC only fixes the Bugs instead of stopping them from coming in the first place and piling up and only fixes them when I ran a scan.  I would like  some suggestions on anitvirus softwares, anti- spywares and antimalware, and as well which firewall.  I have Norton on my Dell Pentium 4 Desktop, it only picks very few problems and I believe it is useless compared Advanced System Care.
So any suggestions on secuirty softwares which are good and does not slow down the PC too much.
    3. My PC windows frequently displays incorrect time and had to change it time to time.  Now it has not for 1 week.  I wonder why?
    Any Suggestions are much appreciated

  • Opera Mobile/Mini is the best mobile Browser-no question. It runs on Galaxy Y Why can't firefox do this instead of complaining of the phone's RAM?

Firefox for desktop is the best-I agree and I love it above any another browser. but to keep this rep in place Mozilla will have to make it's mobile browsers compatible with every gadget with an average performance like Opera has done.
    Firefox for android sucks-''FOR NOW''

The Galaxy Y was the cheapest of the Galaxy line up when it came out as it is basically a budget smartphone and has a older ARMv6 (as ARMv7 is required) and only 290MB of Ram when 512+ is recommended.
Mozilla is looking to try and do experimental ARMv6 builds again like the experimental example linked above however the ARMv6 builds can be slower, larger and unstable due to ARMv6 not supporting what ARMv7 can.

  • Is Safari The Best Web Browser?

I Have been dissapointed lately with safari, its always seem to be slow & i have cable. the pages sometimes take forever or get errors, plus alot of video dont play. i was wondering if anyone has tried and can say that there are other browsers that are better. i was thinkin along the lines of firefox or netscape...
What is the best, fastest web browser available for mac osx?
    thanks!

Shiira is really fast, but it crashes from time to time.
Currently I use Camino, but after installing Beta 2 yesterday I've had some strange hangups... so I might switch back to Opera pretty soon.

seeing the video demo from screencasts online is very impressive
Here is a quote from screencastsonline
I'm really excited about this application as it provides amazing functionality as standard.
It's Flock Beta 1 which I had a chance to play with over the weekend. I was so impressed I just had to do a screencast to spread the "Flock goodness" around.
Flock is an astounding browser built on FireFox and features integration with...
    * Delicious & Shadows - for social bookmarking
    * Flickr & Photobucket - for photo sharing
    * Blogging - Has a built in blogging tool for virtually any blog tool
    * RSS Reader - Fully featured RSS reader
It's available for Mac OSX, Windows and Linux and is a must try application.

  • A shot in the dark, internet browsing

    Hello everyone,
This question I problably already know the answer to but I thought I would ask anyone if there has been any new developments in the area of internet browsing through a Flash application.
I know you can use third party applications to create a desktop application using an SWF, to create an internet browser, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a third party app that would work on an embeded system and do the same?
Oh, and only using AS2 too
    Thanks in advance?

I have used Logic as a large multi-FX for some years now. It is not as versatile as my old setup, but it is a lot easier to carry around. To create layers of sound like that, I used:
one guitar into a line splitter/doubler. Then I can play either FX unit or both together.
two multi-FX boxes, one Yamaha & one Roland.
one mixing desk into a stereo PA system.
To hear what that was capable of, visit:
    http://www.painted-music.co.uk/Music/musiccds-1a.html
it starts quietly & builds in volume.
This is a studio recording of Eight Delicacies. I have taken advantage of the studio to have three layers of sound at times. Live, I could only use two layers.
If you use Logic 7 & a decent MIDI controller, it is possible to layer sounds in this way and to control various FX parameters live.
Logic 8 will allow you to set up complex FX groups that you can switch between easily, or combine. It won't allow you to change FX parameters in real time. I miss that aspect of Logic 7 a lot.
Mainstage will allow you to control any aspect of the FX plug-ins, but it is much harder to set up a variable signal flow to different FX groups.
I realise that the type of music I play is not the same as the sort you are interested in, but the basic controls are similar. I offer help, but I think you might be better off with someone sat in the same room as you.

  • Why do you block my domain & Blogg? There is nothing there that is dangerous for anyone. Besides, you are the only internett browser that is blocking it.

I wonder why you block my domain and my homepage/blogg. This site don't contain anything dangerous at all. It is only about me, my family and friends. You are THE ONLY BROWSER that block it. And I wonder why you do it.
