Scheduling the ibots to multiple receipinets by mail

Hi,
I have created a sample ibot.. I want to send this ibot to multiple receipients by email. where can I specify the email address of all the recipents.

Hi again,
Let me walk you through the setup of recipients:
1) In your iBot, go to the Recipients tab

2) Note that you can specify a list of recipients. Hit the select button

3) Use the interface to slide the users you want to receive the request to the right

4) To specify that you want the iBot delivered as Email, go to the destinations tab and select Email as the deliver method

5) User's must first configure an email account their My Account Area. Have them go to Settings -> My Account and setup their emails.

Scheduled Report - Bug with Multiple Selection LOV parameter

Problem:
I have a scheduled report with a parameter that has it's "Multiple Selection" checkbox checked. I schedule the report with multiple values selected. When I receive the report via email, the report ran as if I only selected one LOV value instead of multiple values.
Facts:
1) Enterprise version 10.1.3.2.1
2) When you run the report manually with multiple values selected in the LOV, it runs great with the correct dataset.
3) This scheduled report does not have a Data Template.

I have this same problem, too.
When I select multiple parameters on the "View" screen for a given report, everything works fine.
When I schedule it, however, only the last parameter I clicked on (regardless of whether a select a range or multiple individual values) is passed to the query. The other selections I make are ignored.
What gives? Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug? Is there a workaround?

Problem in BI scheduler setup-can not save the ibots

I am trying to setup the BI scheduler in the BI Analytics in a solaris environment....first of all i have set the BI Analytics and i am able to see all the reports...but when i am trying to save the ibots to schedule the reports then it is showing some gnerealised error of AUTHENTICATION FAILED...
the steps I have performed is as below.....
I have executed the DDLs for the scheduler table creation in the schema to which BI Analytics connection pool is pointed..
1. S_NQ_JOB
2. S_NQ_JOB_PARAM
3. S_NQ_INSTANCE
4. S_NQ_ERR_MSG
5. S_NQ_ACCT
then I have copied the reposiroty(.rpd) file and all the report files in the corresponding location
for .rpd- <base_dir>/OracleBI/server/Repository
for report files- <base_dir>/OracleBIData/web/catalog/samplesales/root/shared
then I have changed the NQCONFIG.INI file to point to that repository file.
then I have executed the following commands to set the PATH and the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variables
i) export PATH=$PATH:<base_dir>/OracleBI/server
ii) export ANA_INSTALL_DIR=<base_dir>/OracleBI
iii) export SAROOTDIR=${ANA_INSTALL_DIR}
iv) export SADATADIR=<base_dir>/OracleBIData
v) export SATEMPDIR=<base_dir>/OracleBIData/tmp
vi) export SAWROOTDIR=$SAROOTDIR/web
vii) export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH: <base_dir>/OracleBI/server/Bin
viii) export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:<base_dir>/OracleBI/web/bin
after this i have started all the services
i) oc4j start
iii) ./run-sa.sh start
iv) ./run-saw.sh start
after that i am able to see all the reports..
Now i am trying to setup the scheduler and ibots
I have run the following commands..
ii) ./common.sh
iii) ./sa-init.sh
iv) ./sa-init64.sh
then i have run the schconfig
./schconfig
I have configured the SCHEDULER-->DATABASE and SCHEDULER-->GENERAL
then I have run the cryptotools utility to change the credentialstore.xml
./cryptotools credstore -add –infile <base_dir>/OracleBIData/web/config/credentialstore.xml
Then I have given the following inputs...here is the screenshot
Credential Alias: Admin
Username: Administrator
Password:***
Do you want to encrypt the password? y/n (y): y
Passphrase for encryption:
Do you want to write the passphrase to the xml? y/n (n): nthen i changed the instanceconfig.xml and make the following entry

after that i again run the schconfig and configure the MAIL
then i restart all the services and also run the scheduler service..
After that when i tried to setup the ibots and save it, it is showing GENERALISED ERROR...
please help...

Set the password for Administrator as blank in the RPD.
Not to mention, the same needs to be updated for the scheduler as well.
If this works then if i remember correctly this was a bug in OBIEE 10g i faced some 2 years before.

Is there any way to schedule the webi report as body of the mail

I have a bit different requirement. I need to schedule the webi reports to BlackBerry Mobile .
The report should be displayed not as an attachment or URL but should be the body of the mail.
Is there any Trick or Tip to do that.

You could schedule the reports to run as an Excel or PDF document and the destination as a folder on a server. Then after the reports are sent to the destination, you could use the Program Job Server to run a script which parses the files line-by-line and creates an email. It's not the most elegant solution but in theory it should work.

TS3276 how do I get Mail to stop downloading the same email multiple times?

You can't even delete from the server in mountain lion.... I did it from my old mac, but it didn't work. I keep having 11,000 new emails that can not even be deleted in blocks!!!

There are no alternative voicemail apps - the core functionality of the phone can not be replaced.
You'll have to look for an external service, that can then forward calls for each caller onto the correct phone.
At our business we use Voipfone.co.uk which allows multiple phone lines to come into one VOIP account.

Multiple users of Mail on the Mac session

Before switching from PowerMail to Mail, I'd like to know if there's a way with Mail to store my emails in a separate folder from those of my wife so that I could access only my emails when I open Mail and my wife could only access hers. For example, can I create two Mail folders in the ~/Library (or somewhere else) and put an alias in the Dock to force Mail to open my wife's or mine without having to create different user profiles and switch between Mac sessions? Thanks. I guess I'll have to pay for the upgrade and stick with PowerMail until Apple makes the creation of separate profiles part of Mail, which I don't expect to see in the near future. Too bad. But I really want to avoid creating different user accounts on my Mac. Does anyone know of a client that offers the possibility for multiple email profiles that would also happen to be freeware?

Using gmail - multiple copies of mail being written are forwarded to the trash -did not have this issue with 10.6.8 -

I have two Imacs - the master one is plugged in directly into the modem, it runs with 10.6.8 and works fine (this computer is not connected to Icloud)- the other is connected to a router which is connected to the master unit and the modem. that unit was upgraded to 10.9.4 and it is connected to Icloud - both Imacs use gmail accounts for e-mail.
The "slave" unit running on 10.9.4 creates multiple copies of mail being written and sends those copies to the trash file. We have had up to fifty copies of one e-mail in the trash. That computer worked fine under OSX10.6.8 - We have visited the apple store genius bar with this Imac, and consulted the apple phone support service to no avail.
while it does take a long time to transmit the e-mails, addressees get only one copy. Your help will be appreciated.

9/16/14 update - another call to apple phone support revealed that this is a known issue that has no solution at this time.

Multiple instances of Mail.app must be possible

I've seen many questions regarding the possibility of running multiple instances of Mail.app as separate processes. There seems to be much good reason to be able to do so, i.e. separating work and private mail, and very little bad reason to do so (maybe some problems when doing upgrades or backups, but I'm not yet sure of this). It also seems that it should not be so hard to do.
So far, using some web acquired wisdom, I've done the following:
1. Duplicate mail.app:
sudo ditto Mail.app WorkMail.app
2. Rename the executable:
mv /Applications/WorkMail.app/Contents/MacOS/Mail /Applications/WorkMail.app/Contents/MacOS/WorkMail
3. Use Property List Editor to set the following values in/Applications/WorkMail.app/Contents/Info.plist (Apple-S to Save changes!):
Root/CFBundleExecutable=WorkMail
Root/CFBundleIdentifier=com.apple.workmail
Root/CFBundleName=WorkMail
Root/NSServices/0/NSPortName=WorkMail
Root/NSServices/1/NSPortName=WorkMail
Root/NSServices/2/NSPortName=WorkMail
Root/UTExportedTypeDeclarations/0/UTTypeIdentifier=com.apple.workmail.emlx
Root/UTExportedTypeDeclarations/1/UTTypeIdentifier=com.apple.workmail.emlx.part
4. Create the following directories:
mkdir ~/Library/WorkMail Downloads
mkdir ~/Library/WorkMail
4. Launch the 'new' application 'WorkMail'.
5. Create mail accounts using the application's 'wizard'.
Here is where the first problem is encountered. The new account directories and files are still created at ~/Library/Mail. Navigating to Mail->Preferences->Accounts->[account_name]->Advanced seems to offer the option to change the mail store account directory, but nothing can actually be changed here. So...
6. Quit WorkMail.
7. Move newly created account(s) directories (where [newaccountdirectory] is a directory named with the format: [mail_type]-[user]@[domain].[tld]@[pop].[domain].[tld]]) to the correct location:
sudo mv ~/Library/Mail/[newaccountdirectory] ~/Library/WorkMail/
8. Use Property List Editor to set the following values in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.workmail.plist (Apple-S to Save changes!):

Everything at this point seems to work okay, **BUT** when I launch Mail while WorkMail is launched, I find that I cannot navigate into any mail folders within Mail. I receive an error message indicating that a necessary directory is locked. It seems that the locking mechanism used by the application may be hard-coded to lock ~/Library/Mail, and both instances of the application continue to take this action when launched, making it impossible for both to work harmoniously at the same time. I will conduct more testing and experimentation, but I am not yet capable of editing the application itself. If anyone can take us this last step, I'm sure there are many who would also like to be able to take advantage of the potential functionality.

Well, I do have a programming background, and I must say that it amazes me that someone might want to do what you did to “solve” a problem that IMO doesn’t exist.
What exactly is it that you expect to accomplish by running multiple instances of Mail, and for which neither (1) organizing your mail using multiple mail accounts, custom mailboxes, rules, and/or smart mailboxes, nor (2) setting up separate user accounts, are acceptable solutions? I just don’t get it.

The exactly erro refers to a problems when you try upgrade from these version to 11.5.10.
Can you read this note and apply solution? The note refers a patch, but the problem is the same.

Unable to Schedule the Report with a user with Author Role.

I tried to Schedule the Report using weblogic user(which has admin role) it worked perfectly. But when i try to login using User(which has author role) and when i try to schedule a report i am getting the following error. It is clustered Environment.

The fix to this issue is to apply patch for the following unpublished bug.

The patch is available on MOS and can be applied to all platforms.

Better management of multiple accounts on Mail.app

When using multiple accounts on Mail.app, it is possible to have different colors for each account, so that it is easier to avoid sending email from the wrong account?

You're undoubtedly better off to set the mail on the server to forward to your central account, and only maintain one account in Mail. Trying to set up rules in Mail to download mail and then forward it is just going to become cumbersome, and runs the risk of creating some kind of infinite mail loop. (For example, someone sends something to one address, it gets forwarded but for some reason your primary account's mailbox is full. The other address gets the bounce notification and forwards it back to the primary, which generates another bounce... you see where this is going, I'm sure.

Multiple instances and mail config

Maybe I dont understand the right concept of multiple
instances but what I did was the following:
Setup up an instance for each domain I have running as a
VHost on apache.
What I was trying to accomplish is the failover of any one
domain and also to use separate mail settings for each domain.
But this is where I seem to have misunderstood the concept of
multiple instances, is it not possible to use a different smtp
server for each domain? When my forms for each domain generates an
email I want the email to originate from that domain not the main
one setup in CF...

Your on the right track.
Set up say 4 websites (virtual hosts) eg www.mydomain1.com,
www.mydomain2.com etc
Set up 4 cf instances if you have 4 domains, maybe call them
mydomain1, mydomain2 etc
Using the Web Server configuration tool, config the cf
instance mydomain1 to virtual host mydomain1, cf instance mydomain2
to VH mydomain2 etc
The website should now be working using their own Cf
instances.
Go into the CF Admin, scroll to the bottom of the left menu
and you should see Instance Manager
Clicking on this should either reveal the 4 cf instances or
you may have to add them (should be a button)
Once you see all 4, you should be able to click on the admin
for each individual instance and change the smtp server as
appropriate.
This won't give you failover though, if a CF instance goes
down, that site is gone. Clustering is the way to give failover and
you can achieve this fairly easily.
Expanding on the above example, you would create 8 CF
instances eg mydomain1-1 mydomain1-2, mydomain2-1 mydomain2-2.
Create 4 clusters eg mydomain1cluster, mydomain2cluster etc
In the CF Administrator Add mydomain1-1, mydomain1-2
instances to mydomain1cluster etc
Using the Web Server configuration tool, config the cluster
mydomain1cluster to virtual host mydomain1 etc
each domain should now be using 2 cf instances, you will be
able to down on of those instances the the site will continue
working.
Back in the instance manager under CF Admin, you should now
have 8 instances - config mydomain1-1, mydomain1-2 to the
appropriate smtp server etc
The above is for CF MX 6 onwards too, not sure about previous
versions.
I think thats what your after? I've skimmed over some parts
above in relation to the clustering, but there's a handy doc
floating around on the web by Herrlich & Ramuschkat that will
guide you through it.
BTW, those instances can sit on multiple physical servers for
hardware redundancy. Depending on how many domains you have and the
power of your machines, this is a preferred way to go although
expensive due to multiple CF licences

Multiple exchange e-mail accounts in outlook 2013

Hello. I'm trying to set-up two exchange e-mail accounts in outlook 2013 (Exchange server is synchronized with Active Directory).
Once I add second account and restart outlook I get password prompt from each of the accounts. And it keeps prompting all the time and one of the accounts do not work. Could you please assist me on how to set-up those multiple exchange e-mail accounts correctly

Setup the second Exchange account in one profile would always keep prompting usernam/password. This is limitation of Outlook profile.
