The color of visited links box around

As could be achieved in the version 10.0.2 that is created around the reference frame visited, for example. in red? In earlier versions it was to write:
{border 1px solid black! important;}
Now I really would not work and it helped me. Thanks for any advice

You can try an outline instead.
:visited { outline: 1px solid black !important; }

Is there a utility or some other way to change the color of visited links in Safari? The current blue/purple colors are very difficult to distinguish and I would like a more dramatic color change for visited links. Thank you for any help.

Color of visited links

Hi,
we are using self created HTML Content WPC Webpages.
The problem is, that once you have clicked on the link the color of this link is exactly the same as the background color. We have changed no settings concerning the links or the background color.
Anyone knows where I can set the color of visited links?
I can not find the correct setting in the Theme editor.

thanks for the reply. I think the settings in the theme editor only work if the link I create has a certain css class. But my Links do not have any css class attribute.
I need to find, where I can globaly set the a:visited setting in the portal.

From time to time when I click a searched link the colr of visited links does not change. It works fine after I delete history and cookies. Can I fix that. I am using windows XP. Thankste

Here's the error message I get.
Note the TC is connected to my Airport Extreme via ethernet and my iMac is also connected to the AX via ethernet so it's not a wifi issue.
I can see the TC in the finder so it's not 'gone' from the network either.
Also note that just then the TM system pref pane was claiming a backup error, citing my 'network password' and still refusing to backup. I waited 5 minutes and did some tidying of my office while I pondered this and then tried again and voila it worked ok.

My links are black and when I change the color of a link to blue from the properties and save, I see that it's still black but when I move the mouse cursor over the link, it's blue. What should I do to change it to blue even when the mouse cursor is not over it?

I would like to change the color of visited column link in my report. After user clicks on it, it opens some info region, but user wants to know what info was already accessed after this region is closed, so link should stay colored.

Here is my solution.
On click I store the record key in page item, say P100_KEYS, and append keys (with ; separator) each time the link is clicked in any record. Then DECODE(SUBSTR(:P100_KEYS,INSTR(:P100_KEYS,REC_KEY)-1,LENGTH(REC_KEY)+2),';'||TO_CHAR(REC_KEY)||';','v','') in the report sql analyzes the keys, and check marks relevant records when page resubmitted. Check mark could be colored, but because link is also a gif image, it looks well as is.

This should be set in skin and style files, not? I searched a lot. I could not find It. It is now Oracle blue, we want to change this.

You have to customize portal banner and portal content CSS files as needed in OBIEE server.

How do you remove link box around images?

I have put a link on a firework image that I created. When I put the files up it looks fine on my computer but a blue box keeps showing up on older computers. It is a bright blue color and looks very weird. Is there a way to have a link on the image but without a blue box around it? Or at least change the color of the link so it matches the site. Thanks!

'In the stylesheet add the following: (or in the head of the document if that's where your style rules are).
a img {border: none}
This will ensure there is no border on *any* images that have links attached to them.

How to change color of dotted link box when clicked

I've been trying to get the dotted red box around a link
image of mine to go away. It shows up when you click on the link
(yes, even with border set to none in css).
But then I realized this only happens when using Firefox.
With Safari, when I click on the link, there's no outline around
the image.
To see an example, go to www.jquery.com and click on the logo
at the top left of the screen. If you're using Firefox there should
be a white dotted line around the image - and with Safari, none.
Ok, well then, if there has to be that outline in Firefox,
I'm wondering how to make it white? White is so much more pleasant
that red and purple.

How can Safari options be changed to show visited links in a different color (as is the case in Internet explorer and other browsers.
i.e if you have already visited a link, when you return to the main page, the browser shows you by different colors which links you have viewed and which ones are new (for thew current session)

I know you said Safari Enhancer will change the "read" links color but not on certain pages that have their own style sheets. I am using 10.4 with the latest version of Enhancer with Yahoo set as my home page. This page has about 100 links to news, sports, business etc. Even though I set Enhancer to change the colors it will not do so. Nor will my Google News Page. It does work with Google Search page but I want it to work on my Yahoo home page since that is where I read all of my News etc. Can you recommend other software that will work? Is Apple going to address this issue?

I recently did a "refresh" (?) on Firefox and my visited links are no longer changing color. I've gone to Options - Content - Fonts & Colors - Colors... and the Link Colors option looks okay but when I click on a link it doesn't change color to indicate that it's been visited.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

You can also check the layout.css.visited_links_enabled pref on the <b>about:config</b> page and make sure it has the default value.

Color of visited links in new web styling

Thanks to the web crew for all the hard work on the new arch website look.
Just wanted to suggest that maybe a color for the previously visited links (a:visited I think) could be chosen that wasn't so close to the plain text color.
Once a link has been visited, it's sort of hard to tell it from plain text.
Some of us old guys are already going blind from decades of working in front of a monitor in the dark 8-/

Stylish is also available for Chrome/Chromium, and there are ways of using custom stylesheets with most other browsers too.
Actually for the Arch forums, though, if you click on "Profile" above, then "Display" on the left, there are about 10 different styles for how the forums look which you can choose from. Only the default "ArchLinux" style has the problem mentioned here, though the others have a different issue where all links, whether visited or not, show in more or less the same color. (Though the new post indicator is probably a better guideline anyway.)

Is there a way to change the color of a linked eps or ai file in InDesign?

I have a questionaire form that I'm placing in several documents. I need it to be exactly the same in all instances except that it occurs in 4/c on some docs and 1/c (black) on others.
It'd be best to have all the Indesign files link to the same eps (or ai, or eps) file so that I know any change to the text of the linked questionaire will be reflected on all of the InDesign docs. But I don't think InDesign will let me change the color of the text and other filled or stoked elements of eps, ai, or pdf files.
I can change a these in a grayscale tif file. But rasterising the questionaire at a high dpi somewhat defeats the live update feature I'm trying to add here (and bloats my file size).
Could the fact that I can't change the document color mode to grayscale in AI be a factor here?

The only way I can think of is to use a Spot Colour in Illustrator.
You can then place that into InDesign and the Spot Colour should show up in the Swatches Panel.
In InDesign - create a New Swatch and have this be a Spot colour too.
Using the Swatches Panel flyout menu (top right) you can go Ink Manager...
From here you can Map the colour used in Illustrator to the colour you have creaeted in InDesign.
This will replace the colour in InDesign only - and results may vary on output.
You will need to use View>Overprint Preview to view the results.

How do I change the color of a Photo Box?

I'm new to Aperture, but I'm impressed with the customization abilities of the Photo Book compared to iPhoto. I want to be able to do a couple things: change the color of the Photo Box, and possibly change the Photo Box style (one book layout in particular makes the Photo Boxes look like a photo on the page, complete with shadow).
Can anyone help with one, or both issues?

Some quick help would be really appreciated...
